The two Pokémon Characters that I most desire to witness interacting are Red and Cynthia. Not because I want to watch them have a battle (though for the record I think they'd be pretty evenly matched) but because of everything else I think would happen. 

You see, both Red and Cynthia are highly respected trainers. They're pretty much two of the strongest trainers on the planet. Legends. Bastions of wisdom and valor. Their heroics are well known, and simultaneously mysterious. Pretty much anyone in universe would expect their meetings to be respectful and dignified. Surely these two great trainers are pillars of rationality. 

Ding Dong, that's COMPLETELY wrong. 

Red and Cynthia SEEM pretty reasonable in context. Red seems completely calm and controlled when compared to his counterparts, the hot-headed Blue and head-in-the-clouds Green. Cynthia SEEMS wise and mysterious because she shows up to provide exposition and leaves. But Red is the guy who decided to live on top of a mountain for months without a jacket just for kicks, and who has only ever spoken ONCE just to mess with someone. Cynthia goes on vacations to everywhere all the time for reasons that are unclear but seem to be related to archeology and summoning deities, and jumped into a wormhole to another dimension with pretty much no context. Both of them are absurdly powerful and as a result their internal sense of danger is completely broken. The horrors of both the heavens and the earth are known to them, and they survived it already. They both just wander around and actively seek out weirder stuff. (And considering their Pokemon continue to accompany them after all this, we can assume the Pokemon are just as nuts as their trainers.)

So my theory is that if Red and Cynthia ever meet, all semblance of having brain cells is rapidly defenestrated. You take your eyes off them for a second and they are already half a continent away. There's an equal chance of them spending the day petting baby pokemon at the daycare as there is them traveling back in time, summoning a God, and killing it. Heroes will weep. The Earth will shake. And neither Red nor Cynthia will be at all aware of what's going on outside their line of sight. 

Please let this be a thing.

*I actually am almost done writing a F/F ship fic right now, but, as with a lot of my other ships, I find it's not a very popular one and I wanna talk about yuri for a hot second.

(The main reason I specifically want F/F ships to write is because I find I just don't end up shipping them as often in the specific fandoms I actually make content for. This is because (despite everything) I mostly do stay in region for Pokemon ships, and there are usually only one to two main female characters per region in the various mangas I like, and I don't always ship them. There isn't really this problem with male characters because there are more of them. This can also be reflected in almost all of my other main fandoms, but I kept this to Pokemon for my own sake. qwq)

Now, for propaganda/understanding of my reasoning! :D

1. RealContenderShipping -> Two Fics on Ao3, one is mine.

They get ice cream together in canon, I think that is very cute.

Mitsumi is an almost** perfect match for Cynthia in terms of battle power, making for several interesting plot ideas. (**Like the Hareta and Koya battle, there isn't actually an answer as to who won their battle. I truth Mitsumi, but who knows what the author actually intended.)

Idk they're just weirdly flirty?? Idk how to explain it they just... they just are weirdly flirty... It's something, that's for sure.

I think the author would love it if he saw it...

This is probably my favorite ship here, honestly.

2. Jadeshipping -> 52 fics on Ao3, five are mine.

Honestly I ship Yellow with everyone is Kanto super hard Jadeshipping is just a favorite.

Green convinced Yellow to dress as a boy to go after Red and Yellow did it. A lot to unpack there in so many directions but it is something I like.

That panel up there is SO cute.

I want them to go out fishing and shopping and painting and Pokemon battling and listening to music and swimming and traveling to Paladea (to match Red and Blue to Alola) and braiding each other's hair and- and-

I just love them a lot okay.

3. Courtney/Daisy Oak -> 4 fics on Ao3, none are mine. (I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WERE ANY I'M READING THEM NOW...)

I'm so sorry I am a Straight!Daisy truther because I ship Teashipping so hard and I have to leave at least one character straight or all of them are queer (lmao), but I am also a multishipper and oh boy they just have so much going on.

This feels like a good angst potential ship, especially if you leave Courtney dead at the end of RS, but even if you don't, there is a lot of "I left my friend behind," "I miss her," "maybe I shouldn't be with Bill," that you can play with.

Or it could be about them being happy and doing contests together and helping them I can like two things. <3

I feel like they have the strongest argument for a fic existing, I just haven't made one yet.

They are so underrated for how awesome that little panel is. I love you Daisy Oak cameo in the Ruby Sapphire arch, it meant everything to me.

Another note: There are also a bunch of other F/F ships in Pokemon that I like a lot. I am a multishipper after all. These are just some of the ones that I actually think I could be capable of writing in a satisfactory way. qwq Like, I ENJOY Jessie and Cassidy from the anime, but I don't really have anything to say about them exactly. I LOVE DPA x Pokespe ships, but I don't know where to START with that, let alone where to go in a fic. Crystal and Green is a favorite of mine in headcanon land, but Crystal personally irritates me in a lot of her appearances in the actual series and I thus struggle to write her in fic, I really do like White x Whitwo, but I'm already writing an F/F ship with Whitwo and I struggle enough with writing her already without doing two back to back. White also similarily irritates me sometimes. Jupiter and Mitsumi are super duper fun, but I don't really have anything I want to write about them in particular, even though they have good angst potential. Platinum and Cadance and the fighting one have a really cool dynamic but I am NOT good at writing poly ships, sadly. I love Y x that-one-bully-lady-I-forgot-the-name-of, but if it wasn't clear enough by my telling of the ship I don't remember enough about that specific arch of Pokespe to actually do anything. Such is life unfortunately. 🤷‍♀️
