This is third type of small block in this series. This is a single block with becket that I will be using to set up the vang, downhaul and centerboard tackles. This block plus a double block rigged together give me a near 3:1 advantage. Turning a light of pull on the line into an exciting amount of force. After some testing, I would like to make these micro blocks available on my website. They are good for more than boats as well! #ropestroppedblock #traditionalblock #boatrigging #blockandtackle #hoist #sailboat #pulley #mechanicaladvantage #oldfashioned #woodenboat #woodworking #woodcarving #knotwork #shipwrightskills

Complete rope stropped block. Made from white oak with a modern Harken sheave and spun dacron line. I've enjoyed making them so much, I think I will offer them for sale in the future. This is the first and simplest one, the next ones are doubles, and singles with beckets. This block has the eye turned 90 degrees for use at the bow of the #international12dinghy. Thanks for looking! #woodworking #mechanicaladvantage #traditionalblock #pully #oldfashioned #handmade #boatrigging #shipwrightskills
