from @tracyleephotos - I have been sitting on this image for a year and a half and finally got around to editing it. I feel like that year and a half was vital to the outcome of this image. I had taken off to the eastern sierras on a double trip; 1st was with @mattcookii and then followed by another with @danielbrittonphoto.. On the 2nd one, Daniel, Me, @prevailz and @MatthewSavillePhoto met up to head into the Ancient Bristlecone Forest.. We spent the afternoon in this photographers playground searching for comps and then started shooting in the evening as we waited for the moon to duck below the horizon. This was one of many comps I got that night at a lower ISO than I usually shoot nowadays.. #FBF Sundance 2008- Some of you have heard this, but for those who haven’t, here’s the backstory: In 08’ I was playing a bunch of shows at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT and got a call that Scott Weiland missed his flight and could I fill in for him with Velvet Revolver at Harry O’s? I couldn’t believe my ears and was soon making my way backstage to rehearse in the green room with Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum. Can someone pinch me please?!? Showtime approached and I looked over to see Little John chatting with Paris Hilton. It was crazy. How did I get here? As I stood onstage, the buzz in the air was electric. Regram @safatajphoto with @get_repost ・・・ . Spending half day in Lulu Pass in order to find the best compostion in the area. I'm glad we stoped there and scouted the area. It was a challangeing to find the perfect composition due to countless power lines. `This photo is from my 2 weeks night photography trip in Oregon. On this night the stars aligned (pun intended) for a brief moment of clarity just long enough to snap a few photos. Every shot I've ever seen from this location is taken further back in the cave and you cannot see shark fin rock, so I wanted to see if I could capture the entire shark fin in my photo to make it a little different. Great time shooting on this night along side John Fox, and to make it even better we had the entire place to our selves. Incredible night/morning. Hope you enjoy. This time, I made the effort to make sure it happened and after exploring during the day, I napped for two hours and then came down here and was surprised to have the place to myself on that Saturday Night. I took 20 images for the sky, and 6 images for the foreground. --- Someone parked across the bridge and walked up in the middle of the night without saying a word. I spotted them approaching and yelled out loudly, but I think that he should have announced himself. This road is normally either entirely covered in snow at this time of year or they would have plowed it and it would be open to cars. We lucked out and caught it when it had been plowed but not yet opened to the public so there was no one else up here except a few back country snowboarders. Snagged this shot at 2am after my sister and I had talked for a while and she had gone to sleep. I will remember this night for a long time!
