Sorryyyyyy I’ve been listening to the TPN S2 OST
I’m not even that much of a sound design enthusiast in general but I’m reading the goldy pond arc and I’m in absolute MOURNING just thinking about what we could have had (DO YOU KNOW HOW BADLY I WANTED TO SEE AN 11 YEAR OLD PUNCH HER FUTURE FATHER FIGURE IN THE BALLS???!?!????!)
Muijika’s theme fits her so perfectly I’m thinking about the other characters having their own
Would Yuugo’s be discordant at the beginning? Would that part play during his mental breakdown and fade out when he passes out? Would it get more orchestral and similar to Emma’s as it goes on? Would it be victorious and notable before you ever see the camera pan up to a smoking rooftop after he breaks leuvis’ds mask? Would it synchronize with Ray because he’s on the rooftop with him??
Would his theme reference tea parties? Would it get more hopeful by the time it gets back to the bunker?? Symbolising that he accepts his new family??? WOULD IT BE IN TUNE WITH NAT’S COOL KING BALLAD?? WOULD IT PLAY WHEN EMMA WAKES UP FROM HER COMA??
Would it be complementary Lucas’s??Would they harmonize when they finally see each other again???
Would Oliver’s theme be similar to Emma’s to symbolize being leaders of their respective groups? Would it mirror Ray’s when he asks to be left behind???
Would the techno themes be more present whenever minerva is mentioned to foreshadow their technology being more advanced than anything they have had before (like in the testing rooms?)
WOULD THE MUSIC THAT PLAYS WHEN GOLDY POND IS PREPARING MIRROR THE TRAINING MUSIC THAT PLAYED FOR THE GRACE FIELD KIDS???
When Emma throws the axe at Luce would you be able to hear it slice through the air? The billow of Leuvis’s ridiculously dramatic cape? Could you hear the children breathing heavily as they run away? Would you only be able to hear jake, monica and theo’s running because violet and emma are used to hiding their footsteps????
Would Emma and Ray’s footsteps in the forest get softer and softer the more they learn and watch from yuugo?? WOULD THEIR FEET NOT CLICK ON THE CONCRETE??
Would Nous talk in an overlap with Nouma’s voice after he eats her? Would Nous’s scream of outrage be good enough voice acting to rival emma’s iconic scream from the first episode?? Would it sound so viscerally human for a moment you feel bad for them??
Would you hear rustles in the trees despite nous and noma aren’t moving to foreshadow paula and violet getting into sniping position??
Would the snap of the wires they set up for traps sound different when they spring them depending on how dangerous they are?
WOULD THE MUSIC THAT PLAYS WHEN THE MONSTERS ARE COMING BE LIKE SIRENS OR A DISTORTED/EERIE CHEERFUL VIBE??
Would the guns nigel specifically engineered have a different sound compared to regular bullets? Would Emma’s flash bullet have a shrill sound that freezes everything as the bullet hits leuvis in slow motion?
DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE ROTATING CAMERA ANGLES I WANTED TO SEE!!! UTILIZING THE POV SHOTS FROM THE FIRST SEASON ONLY THIS TIME ITS THE DEMONS BEING WATCHED!!?!??!
Would the scene when Emma gets stabbed and goes into an underwater dream state have more muffled music (maybe a mix of her own theme, Norman’s and Isabella’s lullaby) that gets louder and clearer the more she regains conciousness?
These are all incredibly specific and unrealistic expectations but I think I deserve to be a little delusional when it comes to this show
I’d love to hear any sounds you also would have loved to hear in tpn Season 2 (done right)!!!!

I saw a hyperrealistic dinosaur drawing by posuka demizu on twitter and I'm even more convinced with your alien and dinosaur theory
Thank you! Posuka Demizu-sensei's art is phenomenal! She does seem to like a couple of themes in particular... like dinosaurs, dragon, undersea cities and sea monsters... Or a combo of these things 😎
I wonder if Shirai's TPN isnpires her or if her art preferences gave inspiration for Shirai to use them in TPN worldbuilding?
Well, if I am right about any of this... but the art is gorgeous nonetheless.

I just finished watching TPN's episode 1 of season 2...it's so awfully rushed and I was so disappointed by how many important, emotional and significant events were skipped. Regardless I was so HAPPY to see everything in colors and in motion, I have been waiting for them for too long.
Possible spoilers:
At least the fan theory about them being underwater is somewhat proven right . . .Right?
But dear those who hasn't read the manga and never thought of to, please consider reading the manga because you were robbed of so many amazing scenes that could've been so great on screen.

TPN: Underwater
T, The Social Network, Mark & Eduardo, 100 words
For round 2 of @thepromptnetwork
Prompt: Underwater
When Mark dips beneath the water, he sees Eduardo.
He blinks and surfaces again.
The pool is empty.
He drops back under, and there he is.
Eduardo’s eyes are closed. His hair waves gently in the water, and he’s utterly still. He could be dead.
Mark reaches out, but before he can touch him, Eduardo’s eyes open.
They’re completely black.
Mark jerks back. His shout is swallowed by water.
Mark snaps awake, breathing hard. He grabs for his phone on the nightstand.
“Hello?”
Eduardo’s voice trips sweetly down the line. Mark’s eyes flutter shut.
“...Who is this?”
Mark hangs up.

so i totally borrowed this from some ask meme but i really want to answer all the questions and not from any particular fandom but just to, i dunno, talk? so ta da!
Top 5 favourite characters: Fujiki Yuusaku, Hiiragi Yuzu, Celty Sturluson, Hanekawa Tsubasa, Senjougahara Hitagi Other characters you like: (all the other monogatari heroines tbh), Barakamon’s Naru, ciel phantomhive, p much the majority of ygo characters, the kids from the promised neverland Least favourite characters: i dunno, i don’t usually hate a character that i remember lol Otps: heart (dm), sharkbait and aztec (zexal), platonic jublilant and romantic/platonic apple (arc v), datastorm and disaster (vrains) Notps: nothing sticks out, like i think i just forget what i dislike ^^;; Favourite friendships: jubilant from arc v (i will go down with this ship), and i dunno but Barakamon has some wholesome community fluff that i am here for Favourite family: can’t use barakamon again, but um, i’m currently watching mp100 and mob and ritsu have such a nice sibling relationship Favourite season/book/movie: i dare you ask me how many times i’ve seen kuroshitsuji book of circus it’s not even funny i can binge that in one sitting Favourite quotes: aaaa really anything from monogatari, but i really like either Hanekawa’s “I’ll love myself” moment (as she accepts her imperfectionism and challenges her anxiety over being a perfect student/daughter/friend) or Nadeko’s speech on the messiness, embarrasing-ness, and personal-ness of creating art Best musical moment: a place further than the universe has some damn good soundtracks Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: still not over the recent vrains episode, Yuusaku CRIED ;w; When it really disappointed you: i think i just forget stuff i don’t like lol Saddest moment: episode 09 of violet evergarden hands down, i sobbed Most well done character death: (kaito dying on the moon only bc everyone else magically disappeared but he straight up suffocated and died) Character you wish was still alive: welp i hope kusanagi comes back One thing you hope really happens: the playmaker figma comes soon lol Most shocking twist: finding out in the promised neverland that grace field is underwater, someone did some AMAZING analysis Best animal/creature: the art in made in abyss is downright beautiful and horrifying Favourite location: also made in abyss, but i am weak for the good TPN backgrounds - a weekly manga that looks way too good Trope you wish they would stop using: eh, but let me tell you i cannot stand dra/gon ma/id for its fanservice and under/age One thing this show/book/film does better than others: barakamon, for an anime based off only parts of its manga, actually works so well bc they used the same characters/moments to launch a slightly different story that very much remained true to the series’ messages/themes, and in the end the anime came across as feeling finished rather than needing a second season that would never come Funniest moments: k poppy and i watched soul eater recently and i forgot how hilarious the excalibur scenes were Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: my fave vas are fukuyama jun and sawashiro miyuki, so i’d love to see more of them ^^ Favourite outfit: love live’s hanayo’s suit! (she’s in the middle)
Do you own any merch?: a lot of ygo, and then i collect cu-poche magical girls - got the madoka magicas and the ygo magician girl! Most boring plotline: (most boring series ever is ba/mboo bl/ade imo) Most laughably bad moment: poppy and i also watched madoka magica recently and kyubey being shot ... i laughed X.X;; shouldn’t have, but i did ;w; Best flashback/flashfoward if any: fave kuroshitsuji chapter is 131 for so, so many reasons Most layered character: any monogatari heroine, i could write an essay for each of them Most one dimensional character: eh Scariest moment: there were a lot of these in higurashi, take your pick Grossest moment: also lots of gross moments in higurashi, again take your pick Best boy: tachibana makoto, get you a guy who can cook and take care of you Best girl: hanekawa tsubasa Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): kyoani animation is lovely and violet evergarden has to be the most stunning series ever

Hmmm, I had also been thinking about the owl symbolism, and I did also realize that there was a connection to the goddess Minerva, but it was nice to read in your meta a bit more about the Goddess.
However, I don't agree with all of your points.
I would like to note that there is a pretty big difference between the Roman goddess Minerva and the Greek goddess Athena. Yes, Minerva is based off, Athena, but you have to treat it as a pretty loose adaptation, and can't just jump between symbolism between the two of them.
The Promised Neverland chooses to directly reference Minerva, not Athena, so it's important to note what is different between the two.
Athena was a greek goddess of war, wisdom, knowledge and strategy. If anything, Athena sounds like the values Norman holds dear...
In Roman mythology, Minerva didn't have much of an association with war (there was a separate goddess of war), and instead was much more closely related to arts and crafts. It's also important to draw the distinction because there is mirrored LATIN writing in the series, NOT GREEK, so the roman references are much clearer.
Minerva was also associated with wisdom, and born from the head of her father. Unlike Athena, who was a valued warrior in her pantheon, Minerva went into a self-imposed exile, and travelled across the land, sharing her knowledge and craft.
Minerva and Athena both turned Medusa's hair into snakes, but I don't think Ugo's log is just a reference to the Gorgon tale. I wrote a big theory post listing evidence for the demon world being under the sea, and Ugo'log is one of MANY pieces of clues and references to it. After all, it's an underwater cave with sea snakes, and it is a reference book for the demon world...
That allegoric clue matches many others, so I am fairly sure of it, but I am not as sure as you are that the cave is also a reference for the Medusa myth, but who knows.
There seems to be something special about snakes with relation to demons anyway. It seems based on the temple images that demons may not be compatible with snakes, and are unable to evolve when eating them? There is at least a big hint, and I discuss it in another post.
Btw I am not sure that all owls are robots, they have been pictured with the Ratri clan since a 1000 years ago, they may just be messenger birds, and maybe the Ratris created some robots also that looks like them to blend into the terrain and travel undetected.
Another point where I know your analysis is incorrect is that all the children in TPN are produced from one parent. That's just simply wrong. Yes, they use IVF, but if they didn't use egg and sperm from two parents, how would Isabella, a woman have a male child, Ray? Sorry, but Ray definitely has some biological father, otherwise he could never have a y chromosome. I have also written a piece that I suspect that the farms get their sperm from the human world, which is how they can maintain such high diversity in their premium cattle.
I have also noticed Emma's association with the owls, this is the 3rd colour spread with it at least. I am not sure if your interpretation of the owl's significance around her is right. Perhaps, perhaps not. It's not so clear to me. Other references, such as Peter Pan ones are much clearer to me (that one is also listed in a theory post).
I guess it might be interesting to have Emma as the true Minerva, but if Emma is Minerva, then Norman is Athena.
Btw, did you know that Norman's birthday is right in the middle of the ancient roman Minerva festival? (I learned this from @vobomon )
William Minerva Symbolism
So this cover art of Emma surrounded by owls may seem out of place in a chapter that is primarily about Norman going off on his own to deceive and strike an alliance with demons, especially when Emma’s not even in the chapter, but it did make me think of an awful amount of greek symbolism that has been used in the promised neverland so far.
First introduced in chapter 16 and marked by the symbol of the owl, William Minerva is a recurring figure in secret books present in the plantation using code and secret messages present in his book in order to give the cattle children a chance to escape.
Minerva is the roman name of the greek goddess of wisdom Athena. At first it seems like pretty obvious symbolism, Minerva is the goddess of wisdom, the three main characters of this manga are all 300 score level geniuses and their main source of fighting back lies in tactics and strategizing ahead of time rather than raw strength like most other shonen manga. However beyond that there’s a lot more subtle symbolism in association with Minerva. First and foremost her most common associated symbol is the owl, known as the “Owl of Minerva.”
In the promised neverland Norman is even accompanied by an Owl when he poses as William Minerva.
The owls used in this world are also not real owls but rather artificial creatures used as cameras to gather intelligence for the enemy.
In Minerva’s own origin myth (one of them her most famous one), her mother Metis was swallowed up by her father zeus for fear that if the baby was a boy it would surpass him. Then Zeus experienced an enrormous headache. He was in such pain he ordered someone to cleave his head open. Athena leaped from Zeus’ head, fully grown, and armed. Which in story is clearly referenced to the way children are conceived. In TPN all children are produced artificially with one parent, just as Zeus gave birth to Athena by himself. They’re also produced for the sake of having their brains devoured. Zeus committed a clear act of cannibalism when he devoured Metis, and the result was a goddess of wisdom springing forth from his brain. Demons specifically eat the brain because eating human brains give them wisdom, intelligence, language and culture they would not be able to acquire from eating other animals.
Another common symbol associated with Minerva is the snake, most likely because of the myth of the gorgon where after she was caught in the temple of Minerva with Neptune the Gorgon was cursed to have her hair turned into a nest of snakes. The gorgon retreated to an island, and afterwards Athena guided the hero Perseus to kill the gorgon in its cave. In the adventure story that William Minerva leaves behind we see a similar tale, the hero Ugo confronts a nest of snakes in an undersea cave in order to claim treasure. It’s a pretty clear reference to the gorgon myth.
Which is where Minerva’s biggest symbolism coincides with her role in Roman/Greek mythology. One of MInerva’s most common roles in any greek myth is to guide heroes along their journeys, often appearing in disguise before them in order to manipulate events in their favor. Athena advised Argos the builder of the Argo which the hero Jason and the Argonauts would sail on. Athena led Perseus in his journey against Medusa and gave him a polished bronze shield. In the tragedy Orestes, Athena intervenes to save Orestes from the wrath of the Furies and presides over the trial for the murder of his mother.
In the odyssey, Minerva is a fan of Odysseus’ cunning and shrewd nature. She appeared to Odysseus as a herdsman upon his arrival back in Ithaca, and lies and tells him that his wife is remarried, and Odysseus lies in return. She’s so impressed that she reveals herself and tells him what he needs to know in order to win back his kingdom, including disguising him as a elderly beggar so he can return home unrecognized. Minerva also guided Odysseus’s son telemachus at the start of the story, once again in disguise. When the story ends with the slaughter of Penelope’s suitors Minerva appears suddenly and pacifies the suitors relatives to give the story a happy ending.
So, Athena often appears by disguising herself, guides heroes, and gives them tools to help them on their journey and leads them from place to place. Minerva also has a clear biased towards heroes like Odysseus who show guilt and tactics rather than strength to overcome their difficulties.
In story, Norman right now is disguising himself as Minerva in order to heroically free the cattle children. In the past, the identity of William Minerva was another disguise created by James Ratri
Who used the puzzles, and code he hid within his books in order to guide children into escaping and choosing their own futures. In the promised Neverland, Minerva serves as the character who once again, guides the heroes using disguises, guile and providing them allies. Minerva cannot take action himself, so he he can only provide them assistance at different points along the journey while the heroes do the actual work of heroics.
So returning to the start of this meta, why exactly is Emma the one pictured surrounded by owls the symbol of wisdom and most associated with Minerva, rather than Emma. Remember one of the most famous qualities about Minerva is that she’s a female goddess, and yet every character so far in the series to call themselves Minerva has been notably male, first James Ratri and then Norman.
If the primary role of Minerva being referenced in the Promised Neverland is her role as the patron of heroes, the goddess who guides heroes with her wisdom to the right conclusion then Emma makes the most sense as the true heir to Minerva. After all Emma is the moral center of the series and she’s the one whose ideals both Ray and Norman are guided by.
Which could suggest an interesting symbolic change for the series as the chapters progress forwards. Currently Norman is a male disguising himself as Minerva in order to seem like he has all the answers, even showing confidence that he’s foreseen everything and everything will work out in his favor in the chapter 125 where the colored owl illustration appears.
Whereas the true Minerva Emma, the guiding light for all the heroes is pictured at the beginning of the chapter surrounded by owls the symbol of Minerva. As if to indicate the correct path lies in Emma’s guidance, rather than Norman striking out and deciding these things on his own.

*Either all along or post-escape **Through being the reincarnation of James, one of his parents being a Ratri, or one of his more distant relatives being a Ratri
Really interested in the Other option as someone who came into the fandom after the series concluded and possibly missed some that were popular for a time and then dropped like a rock in the collective fandom conscience after a certain point.

The PETER PAN REFERENCES in THE PROMISED NEVERLAND and the GOLDEN WATER
My TPN Atlantis theory seems to have made waves in the fandom, but I am back again to stir it up EVEN MORE. (haha, bad puns are the best)
Before you proceed note 2 things:
1)HEAVY manga SPOILERS for anime only fans
2) This theory contains material that WILL POTENTIALLY SPOIL MAJOR UPCOMING PLOT even if you are up to date on the manga
If you want to be surprised in the manga by which main character will die, what the golden water is or how the kids can get to the human world, and how the demon world was created, then don't read this.
Ok, I am sure that at least 99% of you have by now made the connection that the NEVERLAND in TPN references Peter Pan’s Neverland, since you know, the kids never grow up (for different reasons though).
Some of you I know have also noticed that PETER Ratri's first name matches Peter PAN’s, and that his brother’s JAMES Ratri matches Captain James HOOK.
Those of you who are more familiar with Peter Pan may have also noticed that James Ratri’s’ surviving supporter who helped Norman was Smee. SMEE is also Captain Hook’s crew member.
But the references end there, right?
WRONG
ON SO MANY LEVELS
Once you dig deeper than just the surface (nice reference to my Atlantis theory, heh) you notice:
THE WHOLE FRIGGIN CAST OF PETER PAN IS REFERENCED IN THE CHARACTERS...
AS WELL AS MAJOR PLOT POINTS!!!!!!!!
I have made my outlandish claims, but if you want undeniable proof, look at my reblogs to this post.
Note: if you want to reblog to share, reblog this first post only, so you don't end up with a huge post to scroll across on your dash!

LAMBDA’s name is a real world COORDINATE?!
Hahaha, looks like I managed to get distracted again from writing the posts I was originally planning, but here we go.
So @vobomon and @juniper- were recently discussing how the lambda farm’s name didn’t fit the pattern of Roman references, since it’s a Greek letter. Intrigued, I decided to go on wikipedia and read up on general lambda knowledge.
Then something caught my eye (although note that this is listed for lowercase lambda, and the manga uses upper case):
Ooooho, didn't lambda's name have some "random" numbers after it, that were never explained or referenced, anywhere?
So Lambda-7214, huh? But why would this be a coordinate, it could be just a coincidence, right? It's not like these authors have used a coordinate system before...
RIIIGHT, WEIRD COINCIDENCES WE ARE HAVING HERE...
So could lambda fit into the manga's coordinate system, and just denote it's location in the demon world? But so far we have only seen coordinates starting with A, B and D, so there is no evidence of lambda fitting there at all...
So who named lambda again? Well, either the 5 royal demon families, or maybe those HUMANS heavily invested in its research, the Ratris.
So if humans named it, could they have used our human coordinates instead? Aaah, but maybe this is stretching it too far! If only there was any HINT that lambda is related to a location on OUR EARTH... hmmm, how about I share with you some pics I have took of my volume 6 inner covers... for no reason at all.
OOOOOOOH if that isn't a GLOBE with lambda plastered right on top of it, and then cartographic maps suurounding them, almost like it was a CLUE to something...
(btw I hope you have noticed that the globe is turned so it's centred on the SEA again, just like in my Seven Walls theory, where I predict that the demon world is in the deep sea somewhere)
So I thought, well, wouldn't it be fun to look at some locations on google earth, based on 7214 coordinates? Well, I have looked at quite a few possibilities, since we don't know if these coordinates are meant to be E or W, and N or S longitude and latitude values.
Stuff like the North Sea, with a shallow water depth didn't seem likely to me
Nor did just off the coast of India
But there was one combo that got me excited:
Not only did I think: weird, huh, that's the same name as Carol, I also realised that this was just South of the MARIANA TRENCH and the sea of Devil /Dragon's triangle that I have discussed in my Seven Walls theory
So then I thought, how about I google the coordinates of the Mariana Trench, and I got this:
Huuuuh, so maaaaaybe there is a connection after all? Just like I suspected in my previous theory post? Or would it be too far a stretch? Technically you can take the lambda-7214 numbers, and construct the Mariana trench's coordinates... Perhaps one of the 1s was just taken out not to repeat.
Hmmm, I might be reading into things here, but those volume covers sure make me find the whole lambda-7214 thing FISHY. (heh)
I wonder if we will ever find out.

Rossi is MY BOY
So I looked up the reddit thread @sleepy-cyclops-otaku posted on my TPN Atlantis theory (see first comment in notes to link to original post)
And someone on there noticed THIS panel
Our little Rossi noticed the sea anemones and other miscellaneous "plants" and concluded that it looked awfully like THEY WERE IN THE OCEAN...
And this throwaway comment has been sitting there since chapter 39! Almost a 100 chapters ago! *dies*
So the solution to the question has literally been given by Rossi ages ago!
Now I am really pumped to see where this is going! The artbook using the unused paint allegory to suggest what they had in store for us was already giving me more than chills!
I am starting to prepare myself to see these kids float from the golden water, cause that's the logical solution to how to get to the ocean surface. Still, this is my best bet for explaining those floating landmasses!
Btw people, doesn't this colour spread kinda remind you of a certain scene from a certain movie, HUH?
OH BOY... SO THAT'S WHAT ALL THE LANTERN IMAGERY HAS BEEN ABOUT...
Oh, I almost forgot! We also had that PIRATE SHIP hidden in the lantern... isn't that a bit like...?!
(CAN YOU HONESTLY TELL ME THIS IS ALL JUST A COINCIDENCE?!)

Ah, what a fine and beautiful design choice from Posuka Demizu-sensei! She posts the most beautiful art on twitter!
I wonder if she is going to use any of this sort of design in the promised Neverland...
*stares intently at the theory that the demon world is under the deep sea*
Btw, doesn’t the bottom of this pic look kinda like Goldy Pond’s town, and also dark like it’s night, and doesn’t the top look almost like it’s our modern human world and light with day... I’m sure there is no connection at all...
Oh, and is this girl looking at a map while going towards that circular hole in the surface?
(See my reblog for a full list of my theory posts if you can’t acces my theory directory page. My phone tumblr app won’t let me either.)

Hi, I thought about the key mold that Sister Krone left with Minerva's pen and I was wondering if it'll be used in the future ? (My memory is blurry, I don't remember if the mold was showed after the escape arc 🤔) Do you think it could be used to create many keys and infiltrate GF plantations to save all the childrens when they'll return here ? (or let's get crazier and more wtf-ish ; to open all the doors in the world, like a passe-partout ?!)
Hey!
Sorry that I took so long on this! I wanted to write a proper reply, since I think it’s a very good observation, and I think there is a very high likelihood of something along these lines happening in the manga.
Anime-only fans, please beware spoilers ahead!
I have made claims previously about the cover art having foreshadowing possible future events, most noteably the spiral staircases being related to an entrance and journey to the human world.
Just as a reminder, I was suggesting that since we know from James Ratri that there is definitely an entrance at Gracefield, it is located within the empty area in the middle (see red cross) between the farms.
We know nothing about this area, except that it connects the farms with HQ, and the DELIVERY TRUCKS go through it.
(Btw, remember how the INSIDE of that TRUCK that we saw Connie in was wet (it’s not blood, the Gupna has removed the blood already)? If the demon world is really under the sea (like in my Atalantis theory) and there really is an entrance there in the middle, then the truck being wet on the inside makes sense… plus on the volume 3 inner covers we see a flooded gatehouse)
So back to the spiral staircases, I have recently noticed that there is one more place where we see the same art, just compare it for yourself:
That is the picture of the INSIDE OF THE WINDMILL at Goldy Pond. You know, the place where the elevator to the human world is located…
So why am I bringing these up? That’s because I have noticed one more motif on all of the cover arts that have these spiral staircases that I have associated with the Gracefield exit: the key and the lock motif. Let me just bring up the pictures.
Volume 2 and 3 are not too suspicious at first, since the key is actually a plot point in these two volumes since the chapters where Don steals it are split between these two. But then the books from the library visually connect directly to the volume 13 cover, where we see spiral staircases and the key again.
Then there is this chapter cover as well, where we don’t see a key, but it looks like almost an identical location to the volume 13 cover, and we do see locks… oh and have you spotted Gracefield right at the bottom? Don also stares at it in wonder too.
(Btw have you noticed that both these images are also connected by the lamps being held? I also did a post where I mentioned another cover… one where we see a miniature of the kids locked inside one… exactly like a scene from Peter Pan where tinkerbell got locked in a lamp…
You know, Tinkerbell, the one who dusted all the kids to be able to fly to Neverland… except here the roles are reversed and the golden water will help them float to the surface from the bottom of the sea to ESCAPE Neverland… well if my theories are correct)Anyway, there is one more place where we see the lock and key image
Oh yepp, the other big hole/tunnel at Gracefield picture… So yeah, I’m fairly sure that this key mould will be significant in future plot. Otherwise, there is no point in repeating it so much, especially in volume 13
And I think that you are right that we never saw these since this chapter at the escape, so I do think their return is yet to come.
I think it’s reasonable to assume that Gracefield would use the same key within the whole complex, or at least for most doors. Demons don’t seem to use keys like this, it would be could be kinda hard for their hands, so it isn’t really a security flaw to use the same key if only the adult cattle are assumed to have access to it? After all, they all are perfectly kept in line with the trackers in their hearts, right?Well, I don’t think it’s a key to open all the doors ever, but if it opens the door to the human world, that’s a pretty big thing, right? Well, they do also need it for the break-in, and it would be a pretty neat way to sneak. Plus it would also be a pretty sick reference to make, as I bet most readers would have forgotten about the key mold by now!So well done for not getting duped by the mangakas! ;DBtw, for any new readers, the theory directory page on my homepage has a link to the various other theories I reference here. I will also include links in a reblog for any mobile users whose app won’t open pages like mine!

OMG THE NEW VOL13 ILLUSTRATION BOOK ART HINTS AT MY THEORY
*hyperventillate*
Okay, breathe breathe...
Right, if you haven't read my TPN theory on the Seven Walls or Peter Pan references, check these links out first!
(EDIT: I can do a lot less on my phone app, so I only just been able to add links to my previous theories, sorry! I hope they work now).
Also, please note that there are HUGE SPOILERS for anime only fans and even manga readers.
Okay, so the TPN twitter account just published the FULL cover art for the volume 13 mini artbook and HOT F#CKING D@AMN
LOOK AT THE LABELS ON THE PAINT TUBES
On the left we have USED tubes with analogies for PAST PLOT POINTS:
FIRE - when they set GF on fire
SKY - when they saw Goldy Pond's fake sky
WOOD - when they ventured into the demon forest
And on the right side you see UNUSED colour tubes in the box as if FORESHADOWING PLOT TO COME:
RAIN - Why is there NO RAIN EVER inside the demon world HUH
SEA - BECAUSE THEY ARE UNDER THE MOTHERFLIPPING SEA F#########CK (see Seven Walls theory)
NIGHT- so in my seven walls theory the place where the day and night met was at the sea surface, which is where we saw the dragon and demon lord, and if our heroes go there, they must cross the night side, which is the perpetual DARKNESS of the DEEP SEA
STAR - Peter Pan's NEVERLAND IS NEXT TO A STAR... (and in my other previous theory I discussed demons possibly being from space)... and I also noted the Demon Lord holding that glowing orb (See Peter Pan theory)
MY HEART IS BEATING SO FAST RIGHT NOW
WAS I (maybe possibly omg why is there more hints alluding to this) RIGHT???? DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN *overexcited*

I wonder if Emma choices to go find the Seven Walls by herself after that talk, how Norman would react. Maybe, she will try to stop the war.
It's a possibility, but remember that there isn't much time left until the 2 years are up that she promised as a deadline to go back and save the rest of her siblings and Phil.
I don't think she would abandon that promise, so I think she would do that before the Seven Walls.
Incidentally, right now working with Norman gives her the best chances to be able to raid Gracefield and save Phil and the rest, since Norman has the resources and experience to pull it off. So I expect that they will somehow work out their differences, or work together regardless.
But I see the Gracefield raid as the next logical step, Norman has already asked Vincent to hurry up the plans for potentially that.
Btw, let me just say that Emma doesn't need to find the Seven Walls, because she already knows what it is and how to get through it, she was just interrupted before explaining to the readers:
But you know what is even freakier? What Emma says in chapter 127 according to thr leaks:
"Emma: Then let's run away to the human world! Cross the seven walls and recreate the promise, let's make it so the demons won't chase us anymore and run away to the human world! "
What do we learn from this sentence? Cause this holds several huge new clues
The Seven Walls is a physical barrier that needs to be crossed.
Crossing the Seven Walls and getting to the human world are either closely connected or are the same.
Emma knows that the demons won't follow them to the human world.
So let's say that my theory that the demon world is at the bottom of the ocean is correct, would that satisfy these points?
Crossing the ocean fits, and if I am right, then crossing the Seven Walls may equate sailing across the Seven Seas (although this case vertically, lol)
I predicted that the place where the day and night meets is the sea surface which if true would fit that you already cross into the human world if you get there, so it's one and the same
It's pretty difficult to get across the ocean, it's a pretty tough physical barrier, so you can't go easily, and I think also fit.
So while the rest of the fandom may be focusing on Emma's and Norman's fight, I am just sitting here thinking
"YES; Shirai-san pls feed me more delicious content that may support my theories."
Haha.
On a more serious note, I also noticed that it seems that using Mujika’s and royal demon blood (I wonder if that means Mujika IS actually a princess) other demons' genetics can be rewritten. That also seems very interesting.
I can't wait for the full chapter to analyse.
Meanwhile, I just keep thinking:
YEAH EMMA, PLS SAIL ACROSS THOSE SEVEN SEAS 😂
Oh btw, James Ratri did confirm that Gracefield has an entrance to the human world, so if Emma wanted to go there, she would have to go through Gracefield anyway, so either case they can't move forward until they go to Gracefield.
So I am pretty sure that's the next logical destination to go.
