ok little idea that i shared with @officersnickers on pm =)
It all start when the demons decide to choose one woman in all the ones who are pregnants OR who gave birth to a baby in less of a year (so a baby who has not been sent in an orphanage for now).
Why? Because of a anniversary of the promise, for exemple, and one demon suggest to free ONE woman and her born (or still unborn) baby. The queen is not happy but she thinks that nothing will assure that the baby will be a good student and will have good scores so…she just decided that one woman will have two more baby to compense the lost of these two.
They decide to limit the choice at Grace Field: So a woman at the Grace Field headquarter, who is pregnant or who gave birth since less of a year.
You can guess, it's Isabella who is chosen. She has give birth to her baby since 6 months and was finishing her training before being sent to Grace Field House 3. She was going to be send to the orphenage in like...one week. One week later and she would have been removed of the selection.
One day she is given the new and can't believe it. She will have the chip in her heart and the one in her ear removed. Her tattoo will also be removed. And her baby will be given back to her, his own tattoo removed too.
One demon is very greedy and says "you are not forced to take your baby with you, you can leave him here if you want to forget everything about this life"
But Isabella, even if she is not especially attached (for now) to her baby who is the symbol of his captivity and slavery (or it's what she want to believe)... refuses to let him here (so it's a boy..she didn't know) because she refuses to let the demons win, even a little. She'll have the last word, she'll not let her baby between their claws.
So when she return of the surgery, without chip or tattoo, she sees, in her room, in a cradle, a baby with some black hair on the head and a bandage on the neck, where was his tattoo, who has been removed too. He cries because he suffers of the removal of ther tattoo but as soon she takes him in his arms, he calms down immediatly.
Like if he recognized her.
Or maybe (probably) because he just wanted attention.
The Ratri clan offers her a appartement, they help Isabella to have a diplome ir two and also help her to find a job, they give her a bank account with a nice sum in it, and then, they leave her alone, in the human world, free.
Years pass, Isabella get used to her freedom, to her new life. Ray grows up in a world where he'll never been in danger.
Sometimes, he does nightmares where he sees monsters, and sometimes he touches his neck but there are nothing here, right? Why he feels weird about it...he doesn't understand.
When he's 6, Isabella feels happy, really happy. In another life, her son's life would now be at risk to be ended any months. Even if he's smart and would have probably survived until 12 years old. The thought of "he'll live past his 12th birthday" comes at her and she starts to cry, and Ray panicks "mum what's wrong?"
Now he's 8 and they speak about Ray's nightmares who come back so often. Isabella admits everything to him and he can't believe the luck they have had. He doesn't resent her, he can't blame her because he knows she loves him and he loves her too. And she looks so sad when she speaks about it....
He's almost 12 and she smiles because Ray will live, will grow up, will become a teenager and then a adult. no woman will take him to a gate to be killed and he'll never been eaten by a demon.
(Meanwhile Norman discovered the secret of the orphernage, but has bveen shipped to Lambda and Emma has lead the escape alone, with Don and Gilda and maybe another kid who took Ray's place? Maybe a kid who will sacrify his life for her at Goldy Pond?)
(After that, everything is the same except that Ray isn't here)
When Ray is 13, one day, a lot of children and adults with tatoos appears everywhere in the world. Isabella has flashbacks and wonders what happens. And then her son comes back with a unconscious girl with ginger hair. He finds her in the forest near of their home he says.
The girl wakes up, but her green eyes are full of confusion and she doesn't remember anything.
Isabella has now a house with four bedrooms (she had started to think about having another kid, just a thought for now) and offers one to the girl.
Months later, a lot of kids find her and call her "Emma". but she chooses to stay with Isabella and Ray because she got attached to them. And she enjoys to lives with them.
Everyone is confused to learn that Isabella and Ray WERE former cattle people but have been spared by the demons for some weird reasons.
"but why? Why you?"
"Actually i have never got a reason from them"
Everyone is even more confused to see Ray so attached to his mum (even knowing everything) because they have mixed feelings toward the one who raised them. She loved them but she had shipped so much of their siblings.
I shared this idea but i don't plan to write it. So if you are inspired...feel free to take it =)

Thinking about making a promised neverland fic with an original character. It would start around 20 years or so? after the first promise and this original character would be a demon. The main reason for the fic would be to build the world and more closely examine the demon side of things that we didn't really get to see a lot of even with the manga.
Some ideas for the oc:
she witnesses the world order slowly build as well as the shaping of the castes and the farming system
she struggles to find a way to provide for her siblings
her mother sacrificed her body as food for them
she started letting her siblings feed off of her
introduces and elaborates on the religion of the demon god, which she learns from traveling "monks" who are being prosecuted for the spreading of this religion (how she learns about the promise, which is also why they were being hunted down)
she is the one who paints the mural on the ceiling in the demon temple
One of my favorite ideas for this is that she makes a second promise!
she makes a second promise to protect her siblings but extended it to protect the rest of the demons who have been slowly deteriorating because of the food control
"a way for the lower caste to survive" is what she wishes for
she was a looter of the farms when they were still being set up and the kinks of security weren't fully worked out -> when it increased she could no longer get food for them
the price of the promise was that she was forever bound to the demon god's servitude - she would be the one who would save the demons but could not do so for a very long time
the demon god trapped her in the seven walls until she was to be reborn again
Her second life:
in a demon orphanage
had a lot of young demon children deteriorating and attacking each other bc of the limited food supply (that is even lesser in the orphanage than in the outside society)
when the demons accidentally bite her and consume her blood, it reveals similar capabilities to mujika (who hasn't been born yet)
they sell her blood to make money for the orphanage
rumors spread, she gains followers, gets captured by duke leuvis and he gives her to the queen -> which is how he becomes archduke over his siblings
they kill and eat her
Her third life:
mujika's twin
rather short life, when mujika and the clan get attacked mujika escapes and she dies
would examine mujika's character more deeply as well as focus on the different villages helped by them as they transverse the world
Fourth life:
lines up with canon, she is reborn as a human child in one of the farms
have not decided, maybe glory bell? (gives a chance to examine the glory bell characters and how they escaped as well as their events in goldy pond)
gives a chance to understand the humans through the eyes of a demon (how the body changes, the culture changes)
and how a demon grows to care more about humans (since demons and their happiness were her priority)(remember she ate humans in her first life)

Norman ratri fuckery or maybe Norman in lambda scenario if im understanding this right!
For an AU with greater canon divergence, I like tinkering with the idea of Peter being more hands on in interacting with Norman to better contrast with Emma and Ray getting Lucas and Yuugo for father figures.
22194 has been a child of interest since he scored a perfect 300 on his first test at age four. Potentially even earlier than that, if, like Ray, the demons kept track of his pedigree and his mother was also a full scorer. Regardless of exactly when it started, he continues to capture the attention of researchers and the demon nobility alike, so by the time Legravalima gives approval for him to be sent to Lambda so she can avoid handing him over to the demon god, Peter was already aware of his general existence.
He's thrown for a loop when he meets him in person though. The only potential photographs he would have of Norman would be from when he was an infant at headquarters. His incredibly light/white hair on its own wouldn't have been enough to give him much pause, but now that his features have had more time to develop, Peter's a bit startled at the Ratri ones he can pick out.
Tumblr media
(@bon-nii's comparison of James and Norman from chapters 173, 152, 126, and 154)
Tumblr media
(Chapter 74)
There's a bit of vanity in him saying he's too young to be Norman's father (never mind he was eighteen when Norman was born), but combined with the boy's looks, the phrase sits at the back of his mind, nudging him until he can't ignore his curiosity any longer. He looks into the genealogy records at Grace Field headquarters until he can't find any recording of a sperm donor, which isn't more than a few generations back. Odd, given that Grace Field is the top premium farm, but sometimes such documentation snuck through the cracks, and it wasn't unheard of for the occasional scientist to consort with the Sister candidates prior to the refinement of artificial insemination.
Tumblr media
It's one of Norman's blood samples that confirms someone from the family—either from the main one or the branch Andrew's from—fathered a daughter with a Sister, and that daughter went on to have a daughter who then bore a son.
Pulling this bit from an earlier post:
…I still have trouble wrapping my head around the idea of Peter knowingly and willingly [putting a Ratri child in the farm system] on the basis of viewing them as an extension of the clan rather than as individuals, so it’s almost like it’s a worse reflection on him not being able to restore the honor of this wayward branch of it by “salvaging” the traitor’s children and raising them “correctly.” He places such great value in being a Ratri and displays such disdain when speaking of the cattle children as food, it’s hard to see him sullying the line in any way by condemning a member to the fate of the latter as opposed to just outright killing them, even if said member was an infant. That’s still Ratri blood—his blood—that would be going into the farm system, and he would never let anyone as lowly as food have any sort of claim to such a noble and prestigious status. […] However, I’m more inclined to entertain the idea of another family member taking advantage of their position as a Ratri to have a dalliance with a Sister candidate, as @officersnickers brings up in this post. It’s not something Peter would ever approve of, but what’s done is done, and importantly there was no explicit denouncement of the clan in this act, which I feel he would take personal offense to. There’s nothing he can do to save these children—the one-drop rule thoroughly entrenched in his mind, and their blood is thoroughly tainted—but maybe their Ratri lineage will win out and they’ll be able to rise above their pitiful status, so he does keep tabs on both as he approves of them being sent on their separate ways in the system.
This is where one has to make the concession that Peter cares more about having an heir and/or believing a child's Ratri heritage trumps their fate of being born into the farm system. Shirai never confirms if he has a partner, but regardless, no mention is made of biological children of his own or if he knows of any potential ones on the way.
And maybe that's getting to him as the thirty-sixth head of the Ratri clan who's going to turn thirty next year, along with this boy looking so much like James. He knew his brother had no children, and despite his traitorous ways knew he'd never father one with a Sister for a variety of reasons. Yet here is this distant relative whose genes were still so prominent even after being diluted with multiple generations of cattle blood (him being vain enough to include Norman's intelligence as being another gift of Ratri inheritance). He decides to take it as a sign and as a duty to reclaim and "salvage" this wayward line of the clan.
Norman knows something's off when he doesn't receive all of the drugs he normally does for the day. Everything else proceeds as routine until dinner, when he's escorted not by scientists or demons, but men dressed in suits to an area of Lambda he's never been to before. They arrive in a lavishly decorated room with Peter seated at a relatively small but well-furnished dinner table. Norman's never seen so much food meant for one person, but as Peter invites him to have a seat, he realizes it's meant for two people.
There's some small talk regarding the spread, Peter's recommendations and whether Norman's favorite dish is there. By sheer coincidence there is some chickpeas and meat stew present, and while Norman is still wary of the entire situation, he doesn't refuse the bowl placed in front of him by the butler. It's the most delicious thing he's ever tasted. Peter makes sure to clarify one of his personal chefs made it.
This segues into a brief discussion about the daily tests Norman's been taking at Lambda. He confirms they're harder than the tests at Grace Field, but he enjoys the challenge, the tiniest bit of smug pride seeping in in the event Peter had any ego tied up in his being bested by one of these tests. The proud tone in the response throws him off before his brain registers the words "as to be expected of a Ratri." Peter then apologizes at the small but still noticeable change in his expression, lamenting how he probably should have started out with that to ease any of Norman's worries.
He goes on to explain how he discovered this, interpreting Norman's silence as positive before moving on to provide a brief overview of how the Ratri clan came to be the mediators between two worlds and then explaining how his life will change now that he'll be staying in the Ratri visitors' quarters for the remainder of his time at Lambda. The process to remove his tattoo and brand will begin the following day, and he'll be weened off the remaining drugs he's been given.
Norman knows it's beyond his consideration, but he still can't believe the gall of this man.
As for what [being a Ratri] would mean to Norman, he’s never indicated any sense of loss related to not knowing members of his immediate birth family or fretting over his origins, but for him to be related to the clan that’s perpetuated this system of abuse over a millennia and with how his rigid sense of morality lent itself to the idea of exterminating every single demon, if he was in a particularly negative thought spiral, it might eat at him on some bad days.
Where Peter expected rapturous or reverential awe at being a long-lost member of the clan, he felt sick. He never knew his birth mother or other forebearers, but imagining everything those women had to endure after seeing what it turned Isabella into, all being said so casually without a hint of guilt over the horrors his clan perpetuated like he's discussing the pedigree of a thoroughbred animal instead of a human being, it's nauseating.
And his neck tattoo…the Lambda brand he wouldn't give a second thought to losing, but the tattoo has this paradoxical sense of kinship attached to it that I briefly go over in this post regarding the children still keeping their tattoos years after being in the human world. Even with it being a horrible symbol of their dehumanization under this system, it's been a familiar sight to him since his earliest memories. It's one of the physical markers of his connection with Emma, Ray, and the rest of his family, and this man will be flippantly erasing that. How easy it is for him having never bore the grief that comes with it.
This is already long but a tangentially related conversation to this eventually comes up with Peter asking about Emma and Ray. On the surface it's to connect with Norman and learn more about his life at Grace Field, but the ulterior motive is to see if there's any information he can glean about these kids to find and capture them quicker. Norman will give it to him for having the tact not to slip and refer to them by their numbers like he's sure he wants to do, but he's still incensed at their names in his mouth. There's also the chance that Peter might reveal a crumb of information himself about their status (because Norman can't see why he would be asking unless he had something to gain from it, so that has to mean their escape was a success and they were all alive. The alternative would kill him), so he entertains the conversation. He tries not to give any tells, but when he talks about them his thumb might have grazed the spot where his number used to be before covering it up with a cough.
Norman's never taken in by Peter's seemingly genial demeanor, but it's odd how personal and almost…amiable the man can be with him. Still, the love he's offering is contingent on Norman's continued assistance at Lambda (Peter sees it as their shared duty to solve the conundrum of faster high quality meat production) and at least the appearance of respect toward the clan. It's not unconditional like Lucas' and Yuugo's.
The clearest hint of this might be Peter mentioning how much Norman resembles James one night at dinner, building his brother up with the same admiration he displays in chapter 173 before lamenting his fall from grace, stressing the sacrifice he had to make by murdering him but still ultimately going through with it because the clan and balance between two worlds takes precedence above all else.
Alternatively, another scenario that's easier to work into canon is the Ratri clan realizing Norman's lineage when the cattle children arrive in the human world, also prompted by the databases at Grace Field sparking further investigation with a DNA test. Once it's confirmed, they keep pestering Norman about leaning into this kinship and actively working for them, along with having his family and friends seemingly on good terms with the clan for some PR optics. Norman finds the idea insulting and revolting, but he can't ignore the benefits that would come with it.
Like some other fans, I greatly dislike Norman becoming a CEO during the final major timeskip, as well as Lambda sickness being conveniently treated with no chronic aftereffects and absolutely no issues with them integrating into human world and being welcomed with open arms by everyone. I understand Shirai wanted to wrap up the series on his own terms after years of dealing with the strain that is weekly manga publishing, and he needed an explanation for how the kids could easily fund their expeditions to search for Emma, but oof, do I hate it lol. All of these remain a concern for the cattle children here, and while the Ratri clan wouldn't outright abandon them if he refused, Norman wouldn't put it past them to drag their feet on certain matters. Their finances and prestige shield them from any misguided resentment some people may hold for them. Their connections are a boon for securing future educations and careers. And god would it expedite the search for Emma.
I like to imagine a late night benefit-cost analysis between Norman, Ray, Don, and Gilda taking place at some point after they've settled in enough. The other three reaffirm that if Norman felt it was going to kill his soul to work for the Ratris, his friends and family would stand by his refusal, but they would be remiss not to acknowledge the pragmatism in further solidifying the relationship (particularly poignant coming from Ray, though not completely analogous situations). The conversation drifts off for a bit before Norman, looking exhausted across the table they're seated at with his hands on his knees, states, "I want her back with us."
Working with the clan would be odd in so many ways with how they would laud his status as a cattle child and how he was taking the lead on amending relations between the Ratri and the cattle children while never wanting to fully interrogate what that meant. There's a hierarchy with Norman at the top and the mass production farm children at the bottom in many of their minds. At one point in private after a publicity event someone says offhand, "you can cover that up now, you know," referring to his ID. Even in the winter he tries to make a point not to wear scarves or turtlenecks when he knows he's going to be around them.
I hate the idea of there being one good and upstanding Ratri member that befriends him just because it's too convenient, and if we're being real Norman would never let down his walls enough and let them into his personal world after everything he's been through, but I do like the thought of him maybe getting along with a few scattered members, probably younger, who recognize the terrible fate that befell the children from another world and are genuinely amiable with him without beholding him to form a meaningful friendship with them. A small attempt at a personal level of atonement that he can recognize and appreciate while still maintaining that mental distance. I also think he'd appreciate the very youngest children of the family who could give him insight into what the adults might really think of him and his friends with their uncensored commentary lol.

Missing Connection
The hippocampus is where events in your life are stored. All the previous experiences that shape you. When you need something recalled, it is set into action, and the memory travels to your frontal cortex.
But what happens when that connection is severed?

A take on amnesiac Emma with a slightly altered reward.

Welp, I got this outta my head. Now back to the usual (non)schedule.

Ray!the anticipated harvest AU
The Promised Neverland story idea
(Please feel free to use or write. Send me the link when you do)
Ray is older than Norman. He’s born in November rather than in January. He is the anticipated harvest destined for Tifari.
Ray’s hyperthymesia makes him the most valuable cattle child to the demons. A feast worthy of only one demon, and He is starving.
Isabella anticipates Ray’s suicidal idealization and starts to isolate him from the others under the guise of quarantining him. Claiming he needs to rest due to his asthma becoming aggravated.
(Isabella reported to HQ that Ray recalls even his time in her womb. She also reports his 100% scores and incredible reading ability. HQ replies that the child is to grow to its twelfth year above all else, for he’ll be the prized feast at the Tifari, only to be consumed by Him.)
Isabella doesn’t need to worry or focus on Norman or Emma. Their combined value doesn’t match Ray’s. Grandma advised that she let Emma and Norman plan their little escape attempt, so long as Ray and the situation remain in control.
-
Ray confessed to being a spy and a traitor. He gives Norman the impression that being so would exempt him from being shipped.
“Everything I’ve done was so that you and Emma could survive.”
The day Mama broke Emma’s leg, Norman suffered a series of shocks:
1, the lengths Mama would go to in order to prevent them from leaving
2, Ray was going to be shipped regardless of being Mama’s spy
3, Ray was going to be shipped. raywasgoingtobeshippedraywasgoingtobeshipped
“Everything I’ve done was so that you and Emma could survive.”
You and Emma. Not him, not Ray.
-
What-if:
Ray makes it through the gates instead of Emma.
He has three demands:
One, the immediate release of all humans and for them to leave the demon world forever.
Two, the demon king finds a way to eliminate the need for children’s flesh as a food source for all demons.
Three, the demon king's promise to never harm or consume any human child again.
In exchange, Ray would remain behind for the demon king to do with as he pleases, and, as part of the deal, he’ll exempt himself from the aforementioned new Promise. One last meal fit for a king.
-
(I wanted these demands to reflect Ray's pragmatism and desire to secure a better future for all the children, rather than focusing solely on their escape the demon world. I wanted him to have conditions to his deal to show his difference from what Emma did)
-
“No,” The demon king relishes in Ray’s look of anguish before continuing, “I’ll accept your demands but not the exchange. For you to get your promise, you must sacrifice the thing you value most.”
Ray panicked, thinking about Norman and Emma. The demon king laughs.
“You might be thinking of your friends, but no, Ray, that isn’t what you value most. You crave the release of death. You, Ray, want to die!” Him laughed and laughed, “You’re so much more interesting than the other one! I’m glad it was you that made it here!”
Ray staggered backwards, shocked, before clenching his fists and gritting out, “What does that mean then?”
“You shall live! Live with the knowledge of everything. Everything you’ve done, everything you’ve seen. I curse you with life.”
-
Ray has lived with the knowledge that he’d die his whole life. He knew he was being raised to die and plans to retaliate by dying by his own hand for his own reasons.
His mind remembers everything in high detail. It’s cursed him with the knowledge that he has sent his siblings off to die while remembering their smiling faces.
Ray wants to die. Then, he’ll be free of his burdensome memories.
Ray was raised to die. He is a long anticipated feast meant for only one demon.
Yet, the demon king rejects Ray’s exchange. Rejects Ray’s wish to die. Instead, torments him with a life full of knowing.
-
“I’ll even send you to the human world,” Him promised.
Ray is sent to the human world as the only cattle child who knows and remembers everything.
-
Growing up, Norman and Emma notice Ray’s quirks. The triggers for his trauma are just assumed traits of his personality.
They notice:
Ray’s aversion towards the color red. His extreme reaction to red flowers especially.
On days leading up to adoptions, Ray won’t eat meat. He’ll pass the sausages or bacon off to one of his siblings’ plates or just not grab any for himself.
One time, a six year old named Susan, who used to follow Ray around constantly, was adopted. The stress of her leaving caused Ray’s asthma to relapse and he spent the next few days in the infirmary. After that, Ray became standoffish towards everyone but Mama, Emma, and Norman.
Ray’s obsession with books grew tenfold upon discovering the name plate book stamps from William Minerva

My recs for fics about Ray having Isabella's eyes.
Ray angst fic recs.
Not really a full rec post like those but I'm always citing snippets of evanescent's always a riddle inside my head (aesop's kin)
I have others but I'm very predictable and I tend to focus on endgame romo REN fics lol and I think you're looking for gen/platonic Ray ones?
If so, banana_slug_army's The Wanting Game is similar to Facsimile in that they aren't too heavy on romantic RE given they're set during the canon storyline and are super young, and both heavily feature Ray angst.
Tumblr is my savior because it's really the only place the Promised Neverland fandom is active besides Ao3 but I need good fics
Anyways have some sillly Santa hats

hamefura fanfic ideas
I'd like to write these someday, but I don't know for sure that I will. People liked my tpn fanfic ideas so I'm posting these too because why not. Please @ me if you make anything based on these! These are all based primarily on the anime, and much more based on the world set up by season 1 than any of the kidnapping arcs.
Give Me Your Answer, Do - Eventual Katarina/Everyone. Everyone develops Hanahaki for Katarina. Hanahaki is not a known phenomenon in Sorcier, so nobody knows what's happening except for Katarina, who read a doujin about Hanahaki in her past life. She decides she must help her friends come to terms with and confess their feelings to whoever it is they love. Hilarity, interspersed with angst, ensues. (I have very specific ideas in mind for what types of flowers all the feelings manifest as.)
My Next Life as... Five Villainesses? - Gen (With minor one-sided Everyone/Katarina, of course). This one was inspired by an idea someone else posted on AO3, but I can't find it now. Anyway, Katarina accidentally double-books an afternoon; she promised to go to Alan's concert at the same time that she would be Maria's assistant in a baking competition. She wishes for a way to be in multiple places at once, and seems to find a spell that can do just that in a book, but when she casts the spell she is instead split into the five Mini-Katarinas brought from her mind to real life! They all are in different places and run into their other friends. Hilarity, interspersed with angst, ensues. (noticing a pattern?) Specifically, Timidrina meets Keith, who becomes fiercely protective of this shy version of his big sister. Happyrina meets Geordo and gives him a bit of a wake-up call about just how chaotic it would be to have a kid with Katarina (not that it discourages him). The other match-ups are much less defined in my mind tbh.
Rose in a Fisted Glove - Geordo/Keith, possibly Maria/Katarina on the side. Geordo gets the bright idea to pretend to date someone to make Katarina jealous, but none of the girls want to help him with this plan. (Maria because tricking Katarina like that would be immoral. Mary because the idea of pretending to date Geordo is too repulsive to go through with. Sophia because she is genre savvy enough to recognize the fake dating trope when she sees it.) Mostly on a lark, he asks Keith, who accepts in hope that it will backfire and instead make Katarina jealous that he's dating somebody. Naturally, Katarina is nothing but supportive when they tell her, and especially thanks Keith for trusting her with this information. Once it's clear the plan is a bust, Geordo wants to just admit to Katarina that it was a ruse, but Keith feels bad for lying and convinces him to keep it up for a month before staging a breakup so Katarina will think the relationship was real. Hilarity, angst, you get it.
Be More Noble - Gen or maybe Sophia/Katarina. Inspired by the musical version of Be More Chill but not dependent on familiarity with it. Katarina commits an especially egregious social faux pas, and Millidiana is at her wit's end. She hears tell of a sorcerer with a potion called "Squip" that has supposedly fixed behavior problems in noble children. She sneaks it into Katarina's tea. The Squip, (which manifests as a person only Katarina can see), quickly realizes that appealing to Katarina's non-existent social insecurities will not change her behavior, and instead transforms into A-chan, and tells her that she is in fact in a Katarina-centric DLC to Fortune Lover where there are all new doom flags that she must avoid to keep herself and her friends happy, and those doom flags happen to coincide with social faux pas, such as tree-climbing, eating sweets, farming, and otherwise being Katarina-like. The squip falls in love with Katarina, naturally, but this manifests as it becoming protective of her and wanting her to become noble beyond reproach. Her friends quickly become concerned. This one is actually more angst interspersed with hilarity than the other way around.
No Title Yet! - Sophia/Katarina. What if Sophia was the one who remembered her past life instead of Katarina? As a more genre-savvy protagonist, she becomes a master of Sorcier's magic system. She eventually tells Nicol the truth because he can read her well enough to know something's different about her. She becomes the center of the world for the original "harem" who become fiercely protective of and inspired by her, though not romantically interested (except for the tsundere semi-OG!Katarina). She also fixes a lot of their game canon problems, but she does so deliberately, and in much less drastic ways. (i.e., Katarina and Keith become friendly rivals instead of abusive, Katarina and Geordo come to an understanding that their engagement is in name only, etc.)

I know you want to keep writing eremika fanfic until your fic ideas are done. Thank you so much for your labor of love ❤️ but I also want to ask, now that aot is over, do you think there’s a chance you’ll drift to other ships and anime? You’re pretty much an exclusive eremika writer, and going by what you say it doesn’t look like you’ll abandon the ship or will stop writing for them, I’m just wondering about the future. The series finale left me thinking about the future a lot …
Of course!! Idk honestly eremika is always what I end up being most passionate about! I feel like I imprint onto one couple and just write for them ahaha but previously like forever ago I wrote for TPN and Naruto! And I did valiantly try for anidala but I feel like the Star Wars plot kinda finalized them in a way that’s hard to write around. I think the only possible fandom I’d move to now might be like JJK for gojohime, they’re the only other thing I’m really interested in rn and their fandom is quite active! But for now EM they just make me so passionate !

I have some "fanfic" ideas (that i will probably not write XD) about TPN, centered around Isabella and Ray mostly, and i would like to share it with you, just to speak with someone about it. Would you be ok for that i send you my ideas?
YES! PLEASE!
But oh my god I know exactly how you feel. I have many fanfic stories in my head for TPN but I never sat down and written them out because every time I do think of something, the idea always ends up changing somehow and I never know which version I like more. That and I am such a perfectionist when it comes to my own writing (I dunno why?) and if I do write something, post it then come up with another idea later or some way to fix it to make it better, I know I'll get so mad at myself.. and this is why I writing fanfics have evaded me for years now. As much as I would love to, I'd stress too much for my own good.
Anyways.. yeah! Send me whatever you want! I'd love to hear your ideas!

Differente!Promise AU
I thought about tpn fanfic ideas and what if...
And...
I thinks first about the idea that a promise become effective when the holder of the previous betray it or die. The demon king has been killed by his daughter and the queen betrayed "HIM" by not giving him the "best" meals (+ his brothers were against the promise). So Peter was the only holder of the promise at this point and had to die so the new promise could be triggered. (Emma didn't know that Peter had to die)
So now I returns to the promise that Emma did. Saving SO MUCH children and adults from this cattle life comes at a cost.
And since Emma said that she wanted to go in the human world, "He" can't force her to stay with him.He can't ask his family since she said "all the humans". So he thinks about the memories. But 14 years of memories for so much people's lifes?
And he thinks to something "the boy who came with you, he was going to do the promise with you? - Yes. but you said that he failed. - Because two for pay is better that paying alone. A shame, really."
"He' thinks and realize that this boy is very precious for Emma, their friendship with the last one who didn't come (but he knows what Norman does and has fun to watch it). So he comes to a payment for this promise.
For so much lifes, the price is not THAT high, he thinks.
So he says the same things that in the canon. Except. Except. He says "since having no memories is hard for someone your age, even if not impossible to live with, i'll rejuvenate you to your six years old self, still without memories. You'll be able to have a fresh start".
Maybe a part of it is truth. But mostly his family will search a almost 14 years old girl. Not a 6 years old without memories. He doesn’t make impossible for them to see each other again.
"And i'll be even generous: you'll be with your biological mother and little sister - I have a sister? - And a mother, both alive. I'll speak to your mother while you all travel to the human world. See you'll still have a family. If your mother wants to alert your adoptive family, it's up to her."
Emma thinks that it's fine. sure she'll forget, but she'll not suffer and she can be reuninted and make new memories. "haha i'll have the same age than Phil"
What "HE" doesn't say is that, well, Ray will have to pay the same price, but with a difference. Ray has to be the memories keeper. He's be turned into his 6 years old self, with all the memories that he had at this era. And will gain his former memories while he grows up little to little. So at almost 14; he'll have two sets of memories.
"'HIM” plans to do the same things "throw him away of his fmaily in the human world, with his biological mother"
Norman wasn't in "HIS" world, so he can't pay. Normally. But "HIM" thinks that, well, those three are always together, all the full score trio, would have been all three his meal....so it's fair that Norman pay too, right?
And so Norman will be turned into his six years old self, without memories, throw with his biological mother (and maybe sibling?) away of the other two and of the grace field children.
He'll have the memories that he had at 6 years old, but not the others. It's only at almost 14, at the anniversary date of the arrival in the human world that he'll got all his memories back of his former childhood until the date of his shippement.
"Him" thinks that he's nice to erase all the stuff tied to Lambda + healing him (he can't pay if he dies).
So, "he" thinks "then they'll still have the same age and they still CAN find each other again. It's a possibility, they will not be able to do it by themself before a long time and it's only up to their mothers that they COULD”.
Everything is the same after that. But when Isabella is severely hurt, "'HIM" is like "Hell no i need her è_é" and magically her wounds are now still important but not immediately lethal. So people have the time to put bandages on her and all. Emma thinks that "HIM" has decided to keep all the humans alive for the promise. And thinks that he's kinda nice....after all her price wans't THAT high right?
And in the human world. "Hu where they are" the trio has vanished. all of them. But not only them Isabella too, Carol too. And Rossi." And two sisters but the Grace Field Children don't know and panic.
6 Years!Old Emma fall on the same location than in canon, with Sienna and Carol (yeah i headcanon that Carol is Emma's sister and Sienna their mum). And they are saved by Alexis. Sienna has seen "HIM" who told her about the price. She can't believe that not only she is free but that she has a chance with her TWO daugthers. Who are alive and healthly. And in a lost location like that, noboby will take them away of her. It's selfish but she want this new chance. She is sad that 7 years have been taken from Emma but it will be a fresh start, she can love them.
6 Years!Old Norman fall with let's say Matilda. And Rossi (i read a headcanon on tumblr saying that they were siblings XD). Same Mathilda wants this new chance.  When peple finds her, she says "that my children" and you know, tests are done and ok they are lady. So the Raitri clan find them, gave them identity papers. And "nah that's not the Norman that we search, he's 6" and Rossi? Well he's hesitant to speak. Norman seems to not remember anything after his 6 years old and Rossi doesn't WANT to tell him the truth. Doesn't want to hurt him and Rossi wants to know his biological mother and...
(At a point Grace field children will notice them, but when?) (after all, how accept that someone has been turned into his 6 years old self?) (But if they find Ray first, they'll be "guess it's Norman :/")
6 Years old Ray now. He falls with Isabella in a safe location because of her wounds. he's absolutly panicked. For him it's the day before he make the deal with Isabella (for him he planned to speak with her the day after). Where he is? Why they are so much adult human. WHY MUM IS BLEEDING? They are taken to the hospital. Tests are done and yep they're mother and son. People thinks that Isabella needs to recover so they don't call the Ratri clan immediatly. Ray is panicked. I'm in the human world? What? Where are Emma and Norman? WHAT? People gave him toys and books to distract him but he doesn't want to be taken away of Isabella, he's too scared for that (at this point, he still hopes that she could really love him and be on his side). And he’s super worried for her. When she wakes up ( "HIM" speaks with her too) she thinks that it's a chance to dote on her son. He'll remember everything, little to little, but she can do the things right and love him freely now, even if he will remember slowy what she did in his previous childhood. They have a long discussion.
(They'll be probably the first ones to be found by the Ratri Clan and the Grace Field (+ friends) group.
But they'll not find Emma before a long time. Since she is in a lost zone with her family and Sienna is scared 1) that her daugthers be taken of her 2) she needs to heal too. It take three years to find Emma, Carol and Sienna.
And it’s all i have had as ideas for this “what if”
if someone wants to adopt this idea, they can =)

When and how did you get into TPN? For me I discovered TPN in 2021 through the Fandom page where I spoiled myself about Conny and some other stuff which I forgot and in 2023 I purchased the first two volumes of the manga and I fell in love. And the rest is ancient history!
Sorry about my little history lesson!
You're good! (If anyone else wants to share how they got into the series on this post I'd been down for that too)
My sister and a friend recommended the anime to me at some point (I want to say after it was on US Netflix) as something I might like. I did not pay any attention to this at all lol. They did lord this over me when it became one of my favorite series. But I managed to avoid all spoilers for it other than the orphanage being a farm, which wasn't a big deal to me since it happens so early on.
Fast forward to March 2021, within the ballpark of a day or two of the season 2 finale airing in Japan. I finished watching another series on Netflix, and it recommended TPN to me. I thought, I vaguely recognize this title, the description sounds interesting, and the thumbnail looks cute, so why not check out the first episode.
(dmotta3's blind reaction lives rent free in my head and inspired this post)
I got to the end of episode 6 and realized that my idea to just check out one episode at 1am was terrible because it was now 4am. But I had the day off from work, so after going to bed and doing everything else I needed to do that day I wrapped up the rest of season 1 because was hooked. I had to know what the fuck is up with these little babies with the mental fortitude and emotional maturity to handle this fantastical dystopia they found themselves in so well. And the final six episodes delivered and then some for me.
Tumblr media
Me within watching the first ten minutes of S1e01: oh this kid with the black emo hair is going to be my favorite :)
Tumblr media
Me upon watching S1e11: LKJFSDLKFLKDFJL OMFG?? OM?FG?? 🥴🙃🥴 THERAPY! THERAPY FOR A THOUSAND YEARS FOR YOU!!!
I noticed the second season wasn't on Netflix, so while avoiding as many spoilers as I could I took a peek around and discovered that a lot of people were unhappy with season 2. I asked some friends who had watched it if they liked it, and they said it was all right, but not as good as season 1. So what I ended up doing was figuring out where the first season left off in the manga, and then read a few chapters before watching the corresponding parts in the anime to see where it really diverged. By the time I got to the bunker in the anime and saw there was no dad to go in it, I dropped it entirely to focus on reading the manga. It took roughly four days from me putting on the anime on a whim to me reading the bonus chapters and epilogue, and I was initially kind of bummed about it for reasons I've discussed here.
Tumblr media
(Chart I made to explain to a friend group my personal enjoyment of the series by arc because it's one of the silly things we do with each other, while avoiding some spoilers by removing the names of the last few arcs. I'd rank Cuvitidala and the human world arc a bit higher now and Return to Grace Field arc lower, but the rest is still largely the same.)
But even with my gripes with the series, it had nestled itself inside my heart and mind, and I was endeared to it enough to buy the blu-ray of season 1 and import the soundtrack.
Tumblr media
Another crucial aspect for me was that @1000sunnygo was translating the mystic code book around this time as well as a plethora of other content that wasn't receiving official English releases. This kept me engaged with this silly little shounen that had endeared me so deeply, as I had new official content and information to look forward to every now and then in addition to latching on to some fanfics that proved to be foundational for my personal interpretation/enjoyment of the series. It also helped explain some of the issues I had with it, one of them being the pacing toward the end due to Shirai trying to salvage his health after being in serialized publishing for almost four years while still maintaining his sense of artistic integrity by ending the series on his own terms. I don't think this frees said choices from critique, but it helped me personally accept them more.
And then after almost ten months after first watching season 1 on a whim, I made this blog, though I didn't really start using it until February 2022. It was a first for me since I usually just keep everything on main in a random hodgepodge, but the brainrot wasn't going away, and I couldn't put my mutuals through another major interest, so here we are roughly 2.5 years later.

Ok so this is for the manga readers for tpn,,,, you can still read if you only watched the anime but you may be confused.
So I’m thinking about a little fanfic idea bc I ship Norman and Emma, you can disagree it’s your opinion and it’s my opinion I’m not forcing anything
So fanfic idea, there are many scenes with Emma and Oliver that could be taken out of context especially for Norman after they meet back up. So I’m thinking, what if Norman misunderstands and thinks that while he was gone, Emma and Oliver got together but it’s not like that at all,,,,
It’s just a little thought, I like it and if anyone wants to write and fanfic or somthn let me know, I just kinda liked the thought of simp Norman getting kinda jealous and miss understanding
This could be an modern au or a behind the scenes au or somthn or both, whatever feels natural. I like either version, and the thing is is that they (Norman and Emma) don’t even have to get together in the end, it could just be a little drabble about Norman being jealous without it being Ray, bc i feel like Ray only sees Emma as a sister, unlike Norman who sees her as his everything. And Oliver is a different view, I don’t have a specific opinion of that just bc there isn’t that much there, so at most siblings or just friends, relationship wise, like there is a mutual respect going on between them at least.
If it was a modern, you could do a school scene or if it was behind the scenes it could be while they’re at the base before all the action kicked up,,,, or throughout the action when there are a lot of little moments like when Emma rode with Oliver to the grace field house, In vol 20 or 19 (can’t remember).
Didn’t mean for this to be this long but I appreciate if you read it all, and hope you liked this thought.
Ps also I ship Anna and Ray (especially after vol 14 when ray was constantly concerned for Anna and Emma, about going along, and the one shots and close ups of ray after seeing Anna volunteer to help the group save Chris,,, but you again don’t have to agree). Having a little additional RayxAnna in there would hurt either lol, like maybe just a little hint of it :3 but not necessary if needed be said.
