Comparing Symphony’s tower air coolers to traditional fans and ceiling fans underscores significant differences. Tower air coolers, with their water-induced cooling mechanism, are engineered to lower temperatures, making them ideal for hotter climates and larger areas. Conversely, standard fans move air around without affecting the ambient temperature, often proving insufficient during peak heat waves.
Read here that how Symphony Tower air coolers are better than Fan and Ceiling Fans.

Loki stretched out on the plush velvet couch, a mischievous grin playing on his lips as he watched you pace back and forth in front of the large, open windows. It was a particularly warm evening in the tower, and the cool breeze blowing in from the city below did little to alleviate the heat. Beads of sweat gathered at your temples as you fanned yourself in a vain attempt to find some relief. “You know” Loki drawled, his voice a smooth purr, “there is a far easier way to cool yourself down, my love”. You paused in your pacing, glancing over at him with an exasperated huff. “Not everyone has the luxury of being a frost giant, Loki”. His grin widened. “But you do have the luxury of being with one”. He patted the empty space beside him on the couch, the invitation clear. “Come here”.
Despite the heat, you couldn’t resist the allure of his smirk, nor the promise in his words. Crossing the room, you settled beside him, your skin already feeling cooler just being near him. Loki shifted, sliding an arm around your waist and pulling you close until your head rested against his chest. The coolness of his skin was a stark contrast to the warmth that clung to you, and you sighed in relief as your body relaxed into his embrace. “Mmm, that’s better” you murmured, closing your eyes as you nuzzled into him. “You’re like my personal ice pack”. Loki chuckled, his chest vibrating beneath your cheek. “I do aim to please” he replied, his tone dripping with playful arrogance. “And it seems I’m quite good at it”. You opened one eye to glance up at him, a teasing smile tugging at your lips. “Don’t get too full of yourself, Laufeyson. You’re useful for more than just your cold skin”. “Is that so?” Loki’s voice took on a mockingly wounded tone, though the amusement in his eyes betrayed him. “And here I thought that was my only redeeming quality”. “Oh, it’s definitely up there” you teased back, letting your hand trail over his chest, the coolness of his skin seeping into your palm. “But I guess your charm and good looks aren’t too bad either”. “Such flattery” Loki mused, his fingers lightly tracing patterns on your back. “I might be tempted to let it go to my head”. You laughed softly, the sound melting into the comfortable silence that settled between you.
Loki’s touch was soothing, and the coolness radiating from him was like a balm against the oppressive heat. You could feel the tension in your muscles begin to ebb away as you melted into him, the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath your cheek lulling you into a state of blissful relaxation. After a few minutes, Loki shifted slightly, drawing you even closer. “You know” he said, his voice low and teasing, “if you keep using me as your personal cooling device, I might start charging a fee”. You smirked, not bothering to open your eyes. “And what exactly would you charge?”. “Hmm” Loki pretended to consider this, his fingers continuing their lazy path along your back. “Perhaps a kiss for every degree I bring your temperature down”. “That could get expensive” you replied, matching his tone. “What if I can’t afford your outrageous prices?”. “Then I suppose you’ll have to find another way to pay off your debt” he murmured, his breath cool against your ear. You tilted your head up to meet his gaze, your eyes sparkling with mischief. “I think I can manage that”.
Before he could respond, you pressed your lips to his, the coolness of his touch sending a shiver down your spine. Loki responded instantly, his hand sliding up to cup the back of your neck as he deepened the kiss. The world around you seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of you entwined in the moment. When you finally pulled back, your cheeks were flushed, not from the heat, but from the intensity of the kiss. Loki’s eyes were darker, filled with a warmth that had nothing to do with temperature. “Worth every penny” you whispered, a soft smile curving your lips. Loki chuckled, his thumb brushing gently over your lower lip. “You do have a way of making even the most outrageous deals seem appealing”. “I’ll take that as a compliment” you replied, leaning back into him and closing your eyes once more. “Now, if you don’t mind, I think I’ll take advantage of your services a little longer”. “As you wish” Loki said softly, his voice a soothing rumble as he held you close, his cool touch keeping the heat at bay.
You drifted off to sleep in his arms, the warmth of the day forgotten in the comforting chill of his embrace.

Perspective's Sentence Starters; The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift (Part III)
THE BLACK DOG
You forgot to turn it off.
I just don't understand how you don't miss me.
She's too young to know this song.
Old habits die screaming.
I move through the world with a heart broken.
I may never open up thе way I did for you.
You said I needed a bravе man.
Do you hate me?
Was it hazing for a cruel fraternity?
I pledged, and I still mean it.
Six weeks of breathing clean air, I still miss the smoke.
Were you making fun of me?
Now I wanna sell my house.
I hope you hear it.
I hope it's shitty in The Black Dog
This tail between your legs, you're leaving.
I still can't believe it.
IMGONNAGETYOUBACK
The one that fits me like skin.
You knew the price going in.
I can tell when somebody still wants me.
Once you fix your face, I'm going in.
Whether I'm gonna be your wife, or gonna smash up your bike, I haven't decided yet.
I'm gonna get you back.
Whether I'm gonna curse you out, or take you back to my house, I haven't decidеd yet.
You'll find that you were never not mine.
You're mine.
Small talk, big walk, act like I don't care what you did.
I'm an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch.
I can take the upper hand and touch your body.
I might just love you 'til the end.
Whether I'm gonna flip you off, or pull you into the closet, I haven't decided yet.
I can feel it coming, honey, in the way you move.
We're becoming something new.
Say you got somebody else.
I got someone too
Even if it's handcuffed, I'm leaving here with you.
Bygones will be bygone.
Pick your poison, babe, I'm poison either way.
THE ALBATROSS
Wild winds are death to the candle.
A rose by any other name is a scandal.
They tried to warn him about her.
Cross your thoughtless heart.
She's the albatross.
She is here to destroy you.
One bad seed kills the garden.
One less temptress, one less dagger to sharpen.
Locked me up in towers, but I'd visit in your dreams.
They tried to warn you about me.
Devils that you know raise worse hell than a stranger.
She's the death you chose.
You're in terrible danger.
I've been there too, and that none of it matters
Wise men once read fake news and they believed it.
You couldn't conceive it.
You were sleeping soundly when they dragged you from your bed.
I tried to warn you about them.
I'm the albatross.
I swept in at the rescue.
The devil that you know looks now more like an angel.
I'm the life you chose.
CHLOE OR SAM OR SOPHIA OR MARCUS
I just watched it happen
Seemed like he would've bullied you in school.
You just watched it happen.
I loved you the way that you were.
If you want to tear my world apart, just say you've always wondered.
You said some things that I can't unabsorb.
You turned me into an idea of sorts.
You needed me, but you needed drugs more.
I couldn't watch it happen.
I changed into goddesses, villains, and fools.
Changed plans and lovers and outfits and rules all to outrun my desertion of you.
Too impaired by my youth to know what to do.
Will that make your memory fade from this scarlet maroon?
Could it be enough to just float in your orbit?
Can we watch our phantoms like watching wild horses?
Cooler in theory, but not if you force it.
HOW DID IT END?
We hereby conduct this post-mortem.
He was a hot house flower to my outdoorsmen.
We could not cure them.
A touch that was my birth right became foreign.
It's happening again.
We'll tell no-one.
We must know, how did it end?
We were blind to unforeseen circumstances.
We learn the right steps to diffеrent dances.
Lost the game of chance, what are the chances?
Guess who we ran into at the shops?
Didn't you hear? They called it all off.
How did it end?
The deflation of our dreaming leaving me bereft and reeling.
But I still don't know, how did it end?
SO HIGH SCHOOL
I feel so high school every time I look at you.
I wanna find you in a crowd just to hide from you.
Tell me 'bout the first time you saw me.
I'll drink what you think.
I'm high from smoking your jokes all damn night.
Your friends are around, so be quiet.
I'm trying to stifle my sighs.
I feel so high school every time I look at you.
Are you gonna marry, kiss, or kill me?
It's just a game, but really.
I'm bettin' on all three for us two.
No one's evеr had me, not like you.
Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto.
It's true, swear, scouts honor.
You knew what you wanted, and, boy, you got her.
You already know, babe.
I'm hearing voices like a madman.
I HATE IT HERE
Tell me something awful.
You are a poet trapped inside the body of a finance guy.
Tell me all your secrets.
All you'll ever be is my eternal consolation prize.
I was a debutant in another life, but now I seem to be scared to go outside.
If comfort is a construct, I don't believe in good luck.
Now that I know what's what.
I hate it here.
People need a key to get to.
The only one is mine.
I read about it in a book when I was a precocious child.
I'm there most of the year.
My friends used to play a game where we would pick a decade we wished we could live in instead of this.
Everyone would look down 'cause it wasn't fun now.
Seems like it was never even fun back then.
Nostalgia is a mind's trick.
If I'd been there, I'd hate it.
It was freezing in the palace.
They found a better planet.
Only the gentle survived.
I dreamed about it in the dark.
I felt like I might die.
I'm lonely, but I'm good.
I'm bitter, but I swear I'm fine.
I'll save all my romanticism for my inner life and I'll get lost on purpose.
This place made me feel worthless.
In my fantasies, I rise above it.
Way up there, I actually love it.
THANK YOU AIMEE
There's a bronze spray-tanned statue of you.
It was always the same searing pain.
All that time you were throwin' punches, I was buildin' somethin'.
I can't forgive the way you made me feel.
I can't forget the way you made me heal.
It wasn't a fair fight, or a clean kill.
She wrote hеadlines in the local paper, laughing at each baby step I'd take.
Everyone knows that my mother is a saintly woman, but she used to say she wished that you were dead.
Your words are still just ringing in my head.
When I count the scars, there's a moment of truth, that there wouldn't be this, if there hadn't been you.
Maybe you've reframed it.
In your mind, you never beat my spirit black and blue.
I don't think you've changed much.
I changed your name, and any real defining clues.
One day, your kid comes home singin' a song that only us two is gonna know is about you.
All that time you were throwin' punches, it was all for nothin'.
Our town, it looks so small, from way up here.

Gardening with A Disability
Everyone answering my gardening questions has been so helpful and kind. It's made me feel a lot better than when I started the week, but I've reached a point where I'm getting quite a bit of advice thrown at me all at once and it's getting difficult to keep track of it all, so I'm going to note it all down here!
Recommended Plants:
Mint, Tomatoes (Regular, Cherry), Cucumber, Radishes, Strawberries, Peppers. Aubergines, Potatoes, Squash, Lettuces, Chard (Swiss), Beets, Spring Onions, Garlic, French Beans (Specifically Dwarf French), Carrots, Kale, Spinach, Onion, Celery, Bush Beans, Blueberries, Bok Choy, Zucchini, Edible Flowers, Sunflowers, Green Beans, Currants, Lavender, Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano, Sage
Methods:
Fabric Pots
Raised Beds* I was pointed towards Vego garden beds as a starting point. They are quite expensive but I think it's still worth a look to see what you might consider with raised beds.
Trellises
Gallon Buckets
Grow bags in inflatable kiddie pools with a few holes drilled inches from the bottom
Bottomless Pots
Grow Tents and Greenhouses
Nursery Plants
Vertical Grow Towers* Was helpfully linked to this site.
Soil and hay bales
Soaker hoses on the topsoil of small raised beds
Grow bags in bins or on low tables, in 1-2 inches of water
Using a grabber to weed
Long handled tools
Things to Note:
Someone recommended if growing potatoes not to do them in pots as you generally have to lift the pot and tip it over to harvest them.
You can specifically get "container-sized" varieties of plants.
If looking into growing squash and cucumber in pots, look for "bush" varieties, or get "short and wide" trellises for the vines so they're not on the floor.
Big pots for aubergines.
Vertical grow towers are useful because they spin and you can adjust the height, but the price is a bit expensive.
Peppers and aubergines do well in 4-5 gallon buckets.
Cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and potatoes do well in 5 gallon buckets. You can grow blueberries in 5 gallons as well if they are of a "bush" variety
Bush beans do well in window boxes.
You can grow beets in window boxes but they might not get as big.
Strawberries grow well in 1-2 gallon buckets, and can be rooted into other buckets for more plants.
Bok Choy grows great in 2-3 gallon buckets and a "slightly shady" spot.
Containers need more consistent watering and fertilizer than ground plants.
"Lettuce in a “cut and come again” variety should be pretty easy to maintain but do prefer cooler weather".
Apparently immature sunflower heads are edible.
Thyme, rosemary, oregano and sage don't need much watering. Neither does lavender if outside.
Get a bag of soil specifically for container growing.
Buy already established plants and put them in containers larger than maybe necessary.
#will add more if I get more#these are all great#you're all wonderful and I appreciate the advice#gardening#disability#hobbies#advice#links#resources

what are those mods that were cooler than MSC? if they're that good i have to try them out
So upon further thought of this topic, I think i’m misrepresenting my thoughts on my enjoyment of MSC. A more accurate way to put it would be that I had more fun with a lot of other mods. However, I don’t think it’s necessarily fair to compare MSC to them, because the goals of MSC are different from that of other smaller mods. I guess this counts as an analysis post; this will be long.
TLDR: I had more fun with a number of region mods and I think some modcats are cool, but Rain World’s design makes having a DLC that stays true to its core ethos difficult, so I find it hard to really blame the MSC team for MSC being a lackluster DLC.
Regions
When I say that I enjoyed other mods more than MSC, I think a lot of it is in the level editing (ie, lediting), in the sense that region mods have consistently wowed me far more than MSC’s regions ever did. Conceptually, the regions that it added were incredible; I loved seeing Moon as close to her prime as she could ever be shown in Spearmaster’s time (ie LTTM the region; DM), but also finding her ruined structure (MS) as Rivulet, and the idea behind Silent Construct (CL) is also fantastic. But gameplay wise? I didn’t particularly enjoy any of these regions, especially not CL. I hated the spider clogs that I had no way of dealing with, and overall I really just bumrushed it and cheated to get to the story. Metropolis (LC) and Outer Expanse were okay in terms of gameplay, but LC’s tiling and geometry is just kind of boring, if I had to be honest. It’s quite repetitive and not particularly unique, except for maybe Atop the Tallest Tower at a stretch. OE was fine by virtue of not really having another region to compare it to and also being comparatively more plant focused, but honestly, other mods have still wowed me more. So I dunno.
Like when it comes to having regions that feel interesting to explore and are also nice to look at, there’s always Pilgrims’ Ascent and Scorched District, both by Myrmice, and these two also fit so well with vanilla Rain World’s vibe to me. These two, along with the Mast from Snoodle, are all but canon to vanilla to me, because they just fit so well and add to vanilla while still maintaining their own identities as regions. And even beyond having to feel vanilla necessarily, because that’s not always the point of mods, there’s regions like Stormy Coast, Coral Caves, Howling Rift, more that I won’t list because of how long the list will get, but the point is that all of these regions give me more engaging gameplay and paths for exploration than I felt I got for any MSC added region. Granted it’s been a while since I played MSC’s content in full, and my memory of this stuff is generally poor, but I’d rather explore Aqueducts (OA) again than do MS. OA was big and I kept getting lost even with a map, but it was big and disorienting in a way that just felt better to me than MS. The same goes for Deserted Wastelands and CL, personally.
MSC regions feel very vanilla-like to me, in that they’re kind of easy to filter out of your conscious processing so you can focus on other things. I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing, but for the price that you have to pay for Downpour, I think it falls a little short. The thing is that MSC is very much story-focused, putting more emphasis on the slugcats you play as and their stories rather than the lediting of the regions exclusive to them (in my opinion anyways. I ain’t a leditor). Which brings me to my next point:
Modcats and Story
This might be a bit of a hot take, but I think Rain World is inherently a gameplay focused game that doesn’t support much overt story or plot. The lore in all three vanilla campaigns is entirely optional, and if you kill Moon? Fuck you! No lore for you! And even if you wanted the lore, you have to figure out that pearls have to be taken to her to be read, and that the colored ones have unique lore, and you have to find them and hope the scavs don’t take the pearl first. Even with Hunter, you can choose to toss the green neuron and do your own thing. It doesn’t even stop you from ascending either. The story is entirely optional in Rain World. So then to add any story focused campaign at all inherently takes it away from Rain World’s initial design. And on top of that, you’re playing as a slugcat. It’s really hard to add any sort of story in Rain World that doesn’t circle back to iterators in some way. But then what else do you do besides ascend? Eat a few specific types of food? Gourmand does that. Kill a specific creature? That’s Artificer’s thing. Talk to all the echoes? That’s Saint, and kind of Hunter in a way. What else can you do without radically changing the structure of Rain World itself? And to that end, would that still be Rain World? I’m not saying it’s impossible to have a story based campaign that doesn’t involve iterators, but I do think that it’s really difficult to have them be completely irrelevant to the story and still have an engaging story, because Rain World itself is so not story focused. But if you don’t add story, then what do you do in the campaign that doesn’t make it just a rehashed version of Survivor’s campaign?
So like. I can’t really take issue with MSC’s story based focus that much, because genuinely, what else do you do? And basically any modded slugcat available in 1.9 that I think is worth trying falls into the same category. I think Pitch Black is really promising, but it introduces A Lot of changes to the world, and there’s currently almost no story. Vinki isn’t iterator focused necessarily, but their story still hinges on pissing Pebbles off and is overall very silly (not in a bad way! But it doesn’t fit the vibe of Rain World). And Gravel Eater,, you can’t get more intertwined with iterators than with GE’s story, but they’re still my favorite modcat because of how detailed their story is and how interesting their mechanics are. And if you just have a scug with abilities and no story, that’s… not really interesting to play, because then it’s essentially just Survivor, but you’re able to like, say, make spore puffs for free.
Maybe I’m just not creative enough in this aspect, idk. But genuinely I can’t think of much else to do in this game that doesn’t involve iterators in some way. If you know me, you’d know I’m Iterators McGee who has written 70k+ words about a character who has literally no canon dialogue. I fucking love iterators, but I think their stories should be separate from that of slugcats, but in game, just. How? I genuinely don’t know.
Other Thoughts
I think in some ways I view MSC as more of a framework that has allowed other people to build their own stories off of it. The only other mod that has a scale even remotely comparable to MSC is Drought, which is also iterator centric in story. I can’t speak to its lediting since I haven’t played Drought myself (but I’ve heard the quality… fluctuates?), but story wise… yeah. I don’t know. I just don’t think Rain World can really have a DLC that doesn’t pull it away from its original ethos in some way. I would not want Drought to be a DLC either, as cool as I think it is, and I still value a lot of things about MSC. It’s lackluster as a DLC because again, what sort of campaign can you add that doesn’t add a story that isn’t iterator related in any way?
I guess the way to summarize this is that I think MSC tells some really interesting stories through its gameplay. Even the parts I hated are part of the story it’s trying to tell, and on that front I think it does well. But by virtue of being story focused (and, by virtue of story in this game being very iterator centric), it doesn’t feel as much like Rain World, and so it’s not as good as a DLC as it would have been as just a mod. And now that it exists and is widely used, other people have been spurred to make their own ideas and show their creativity, going bigger and bolder than MSC in some aspects. And regarding me enjoying region mods more than MSC’s lediting, I think enjoying the region for being a region is kind of the fucking point of playing a region mod, whereas that isn’t exactly MSC’s focus. So some things are hard to compare.
This is kind of an incoherent ramble but I hope I got the main points across. I still like MSC and I won’t tolerate anyone bashing it here. You will get blocked.

There will only be less and less, and prices will go up accordingly. This garage Carrera FC3S has been properly tuned, and the price is 1.55 million yen. For the tune menu, I replaced the turbine with T04E , added 7200x2 to the original computer, and controlled the fuel with AIC. The intercooler is an Amemiya two-layer type, the waste gate is a TRUST racing type, and the muffler is a 90 mid-range sports type.
Although it is a 1st year model, this is all there is to it.
It's been done, fully certified, and 1.55 million yen is cheap. Surprisingly, the mileage is only 48,000km, so I'm sure the engine has a lot more to offer. The only exterior features include Amemiya's Type 1 rear spoiler and Yours' aero mirror. The suspension has Esprit. It has a casual appearance and gives off an atmosphere dedicated to driving. In fact, seeing that the 5-point system was installed in the roll cage, the previous owner must have been very picky about running. The FC's body rigidity was low, especially in this part with the large hatch. This twisting of the body is the reason why even if you keep your feet steady, you still feel ambiguous near the limit. The purpose of building a roll cage is to increase safety in the event of a fall, as well as increase body rigidity. Even a 5-point system is quite effective. Driving on the circuit in the same condition as purchased
I think I can make a good time If you look at the actual 5-point system installed in the roll
PIC CAPTIONS
●Neatly laid out white meters are lined up inside the glove box. The interior is so clean that it's hard to believe it's a very old FC.
●Equipped with a 5-point roll cage. The increased rigidity around the rear makes suspension settings easier. It seems to be a must-have item for younger model FCs.
●The T04E turbine does not have peaky output characteristics, so it is easy to handle. The low sound quality that comes from the sports muffler gives off an atmosphere of great power.

Timing: A bit after Teds got back from Canada Location: Jones Home/beachfront Feat: @vanoincidence and @eldritchaccident Warnings: none! Summary: S’more familial bonding
Pitching a fire was careful work. Each piece of tinder arranged just so. Artful, as if it wasn't something that was awaiting the spark to set it alight. Inferno, annihilation, rebirth. Bonfire season stretched out before them, only just beginning to settle into warm enough nights to sit outside on the beach and watch the dazzling sparkle of flame dancing along the waves.
Eventually, the tide would take over the stretch of sand, washing away even the ashes of Teddy's tireless work. And still they persisted. Crafting the tower, a monument to S’mores. Or, perhaps, to the ability to get to and walk around again. As long as they ignored the aching in their bones, everything was fine.
The sun had not set, Teddy didn't think they'd want to be outside in the dark on their own just yet, even if their little study buddy was already on her way. The promise of a bright night light put their mind at ease, even if theoretical.
The kindling struck up and smoked until the first flames appeared, Teddy smiled and sat back, taking stock of the sweeter supplies. Marshmallows, Graham crackers, chocolate, and a host of more experimental toppings. Some of which were kept on dry ice. Along with a thermos of liquid nitrogen. For science. Food science. Of course.
With the fire going, the snacks set, Teddy figured it was a good enough time to get some practice in. A looming threat, and a hopeful promise chasing them ever since Echo had them thinking a whole lot more about this power they'd apparently been born to. It was a pretty all consuming spiral, one they couldn't help but ruminate on so much they missed much of their surroundings. Including Van showing up on the beach.
—
Van had her own running supply of snacks for tonight’s event, all stuffed into a backpack instead of her regular tote. She could feel the shift of the red bull cans with every step, three new flavors for Teddy to try alongside her. The number of candy bars she had pulled off the shelves (all at various discounted prices) would probably end up squished by them, but she figured it didn’t matter considering they’d all be squashed between graham crackers and marshmallow, anyway.
The smell of the smoke reached Van’s nose first, and then as she rounded the corner to the beach’s opening path, she saw the glowing light visible against the sandy floor. “Teddy!” She smiled brightly at them as she approached, one arm in the air, waving haphazardly around. There was a click in her shoulder that she ignored, the pain still there from the time she’d got thrown to the ground by the dirt eating vampire.
“I brought some other stuff, too.” Van twisted her arm out of the strap of her backpack and held it up awkwardly as she began to unzip it, plopping down into a squat just next to Teddy. She began to unearth the various chocolate bars, as well as the cans of red bull. “These are kind of warm, I hope you don’t mind– Oh! Can we put them on the ice?” She motioned towards the cooler that Teddy was next to before rocking back onto her heels, planting her butt on the sand.
The fire was warm against her skin, a welcomed feeling against the dropping temperature as the sun pushed down further. Van wasn’t much of a hugger, but she felt inclined to give Teddy one. As she got to her feet, she threw both arms around them, giving him a gentle squeeze before pulling away. “What did Canada do to you, dude?” It was said with a soft laugh as she dropped back down next to them, grabbing her backpack so she could zip it back up.
—
With how much Teddy was startled by Van’s arrival, you'd almost wonder if they forgot anyone was coming by at all. A seashell in the tide, their attention was pushed and pulled so easily. Unnoticing the rising and the falling until it found itself completely buried in the sand. In this particular case, the sand was an experiment in holding an increasing number of marshmallows in a small spherical forcefield hovering over the fire, which promptly exploded as the caster was startled and dropped the current record of four sugary treats down into the flames below.
“Oh! Hey Junebug!” No tears were shed for the sugar feeding the fire, in fact, quite the opposite. The moment they heard the kid’s voice Teddy was all smiles, bursting to bits with joy as the younger caster kept talking and then opted for the hug, making Teds feel like they must be doing something right. Without much fanfare, Teddy took the drinks and added them to the cooler, sitting just beside the various experimental toppings, and the canister of dry ice chilled ice cream.
“Ah Canada was—“ What they’d said online and what actually happened were two different stories. One of them involved hockey. One of them involved deprivation torture. Teddy wished they’d just been roughed around a rink. It’d be a lot less complicated. They’d be a lot less distant, hiding behind a smile they hoped she wouldn’t see as faulty in any way. “—so weird, Van. SO weird. Did you know they have milk in bags up there? Just in BAGS.”
—
When Van thought of Canada initially, she thought of geese and Toronto. Then, she started to think about Thea and the life that her friend had had there, and how different it was in Maine. How she’d been Cynthia, and now she went by something else. Was Teddy somebody else in Canada, too? Was there something they weren’t telling her? Probably, but she didn’t feel the urge to yank it out from beneath him, because what would that accomplish? This was supposed to be a bonding moment.
“I’ve heard that! And their money smells like maple syrup, right?” That’d been a trap she’d fallen into, and she already knew the truth, but she wanted to see what Teddy would say to her. “Sucks that they have the queen on it, but at least the colors are pretty.” Not that their money was much better, but still.
Van noticed that there were a few marshmallows already in the pit and she frowned, then looked back to the package. They’d barely miss them, as it was– the remaining bag was filled to the brim with the fluffy sugar bombs. “So like, where do we start? Should we put the graham crackers with the chocolate near the fire so the chocolate melts and it’s not all weird and messed up?” Messed up as in a weird texture, but she figured Teddy would understand that without her needing to explain further.
—
“Wait really?” Teddy hadn’t spent long enough in Canada to actually exchange much cash, let alone go sniffing it. “I know it’s pretty colorful, but smells like maple too? Damn.”
One redeeming point for Canada apparently. Not exactly enough that they really ever wanted to go back, but hey. Can’t blame the whole country for one town that may or may not even really exist. Didn’t on google maps, but the documents in the town hall looked official. It was weird. Not a lot about that place added up. Not in a way that made sense unless you were looking at it from just the right angle. One Teds never really found. “All money should be colorful.” Teddy nodded to themself. “But we need to start putting fun stuff on it, not old dead shitheels.” At least monetary markers were something more comforting to muse about.
“Oh good idea, I got some more flat rocks on this side of the fire, we can probably put ‘em there.” Light danced around the pair as they circled the inferno. It chased away the darkness, gave purpose and strength to the night. Teddy hated feeling afraid. It wasn’t in their nature, at least it never used to be. Growing up demon, the only things that could even come close to terrifying them in the same way the simple darkness did now was maybe a whole cloister of nuns with guns. And that was… shit another fear that came from being locked in a room with something, awaiting a swift and assured death. Death itself wasn’t half as scary as the things that led up to it, they thought. The anticipation was worse. In the end, death might be more of a release and relief than they’d ever like to admit.
“Also got blankets and such if the wind picks up and you feel chilly. But I doubt it will, been pretty lovely all evening.”
—
“Are you messing with me? You know that’s not real, right?” Van could’ve let them continue to believe that it was true, or that she thought it, and so maybe that’s what Teddy was doing– allowing her to believe. Or maybe they were messing with her in a different capacity, or maybe they thought it was real. “Sorry I lied to you.”
“I hate money. Like, the idea of it, what it’s done to like… everything.” It was hard to not think about the arguments her parents constantly got into about money. They still echoed around in her head, tangling her up what it meant to be either successful or… the opposite. But now wasn’t the time to think about that! She and Teddy had a plethora of sweets at their disposal, and the night sky that bloomed over them was the kind that could only be dreamt up. She wanted to enjoy this time, especially now that Teddy was back. “But you’re right, um, colorful money would make things way cooler, and way better without the ugly dead people on it.” Was that rude? Would they come to haunt her? Maybe. She’d just hit George Washington with a cherry or something. Or was it an apple?
Van dropped into a squat next to the fire, careful to not lean too far forward or too far back. She unearthed the package of graham crackers and began placing them gently on the flat rocks as Teddy had explained, before setting single pieces of chocolate onto them. “This is like, the best way to do it.” She looked up at them with a big grin.
She looked towards the blankets Teddy mentioned and gave a small nod. “I think the fire will totally help out with that, but that’s like, super courteous of you.” That was the right way to use the word, right? She was almost positive it was, at least. “Um.. okay. Chocolate laid out, marshmallows acquired. Do we put on music? Or is that disrespectful to the night time or whatever?”
—
“Wait– Really? Well diggity shit. That’s lame.” Defeat. Utter total disappointment. Why shouldn’t it smell like maple? It should smell like maple. Teddy grumbled and fell backwards, getting a head full of sand and an eye full of stars. The stars are probably maple flavored. They wouldn’t disappoint. At the very least the North Star™ probably did. “Guess it makes sense though, when has a government run program ever done anything cool ever?”
Hating money. That was something Teds could get behind. The caster tilted their head upwards, shaking off a little of the sand just to get a good look at the kid. It was easy for them to say they hated it now that the Jones family was more flush with cash then they could ever dream of spending in one lifetime, but it wasn’t always that way. Fireside treats and the family secret S’mores technique came from that period. When they scraped together enough to survive, and sometimes had enough for a treat. When most nights were spent under the blanket of the cosmos, warmed only by the massive body their father could transform into.
“It’s unfortunately pretty useful, but…. Pretty much only because of all the shit it’s done to the…. Everything.” Two arms shot up in the air, waving around and gesturing to the whole of human civilization. “Hah!” Teddy snorted. “Yes, abso-fuckin-lutely no more dead ugly white guys. That’s number one.”
Van got to work setting up the crackers, so Teds figured it was time to get roasting. “The trick for the marshmallows is to find a pocket of the fire without any big flames, but some hot embers down below.” Up and at-em with a dad groan, Teddy found their own spot by the fire. Put two mallows on a stick and studied the gentle inferno for the perfect oven. “Then you gotta be patient. This way takes longer, but it makes for the best flavor.” They explained, exceptionally proud of their caramelizing skills. “Only turn it once you see it juuuuuust start to smoke. And turn it slowly too, that’s how you get it perfect golden brown.”
—
Van still wasn’t entirely sure if Teddy was messing with her or not, but only because their expression left so much to be discovered. She observed them for a moment, still not quite sure, but snorted at their comment about the government and how decidedly uncool it was. “I’d say the parks department is like, the only cool thing anywhere, but even they really mess up a lot of the time.” She had watched a 10 part Tik Tok series on why the park’s department sucked and had totally turned her back on them.
“Useful, yeah.” It was, and she knew it was, but it didn’t mean she was happy about it. Money sucked, and it got in the way of a lot of things. She didn’t want to think about the negatives right now, though, and as easy as it was to get wrapped up in them, she wanted to enjoy the here and now with Teddy, especially after they’d been gone for so long. “Yeah, like, put a tree on it or something.” The whole thing was technically made out of trees, right? “Or maybe that’s kind of messed up. I don’t know.” She didn’t really know a lot about anything, but it seemed like Teddy thought she did, and she liked that.
“I kind of like when the marshmallows get kinda burnt and crispy… there’s something about the burnt parts that tastes really good.” That, and it was because she always got distracted by roasting them that most of hers had come out burnt and she got used to the taste. “But I’ll definitely try your way. You’re the one with the inventive food things, so you definitely know what you’re talking about.” Van half-waddled, half-knelt to the side of the fire that Teddy was at and watched them as they roasted the marshmallows. “Those look a lot better than anything I’ve done, and I’m not saying that in like, a depressing way. I mean those look like they came from a magazine.”
—
“Parks and Postal service, the only parts I respect.” Teddy nodded along. “Imagine how much bullshit they have to deal with from the other branches. I bet they’d be about 87% more efficient if they were just like, allowed to do what they wanted.” They had watched no such Tiktok. But they had seen all of Parks n’ Rec. Multiple times. Hell of a show. One time someone compared them to an uncanny horrifying mix of Leslie Knope and Jean-Ralphio Saperstien. Teddy wore it like a badge of the highest honor for months.
“Are you good on that? Like rent and groceries and everything? Your car running well?” Normally, they wouldn’t be so direct. Their support usually came in subtle gifts and acts of service. But for some reason, the topic seemed to bother Van in a way that worried them. Maybe not bother, seemed too strong of a word. Disconcert? Upset? Teddy mused on it a bit while they waited for a reply. “Trees! Yes! Something anyone can get behind. Or like, take a vote on what's everyone’s favorite animal. If I could make money I’d put a little nudibranch on it, have you seen those little guys? They look like pokemon.” A little lilting laugh escaped their chest, finding joy wasn’t hard in good company.
“Heard, chef.” A little crispy. They could work with that. “Do you like the inside being molten or uncooked?” They could do the best of both worlds. Two marshmallows, one burnt and crispity, one golden and gooey. Pride swelled up as the kid came over, leading Teddy to preen like an egotistical peacock. “Ahh well, Whenever I’m with friends, I never do anything I don’t think I’m amazing at, so that’s step one. Always gotta impress, y’know?”
—
“I was told I shouldn’t respect the postal service by this one lady ‘cause my package got accidentally delivered to her house. She wanted to yell at them, but I don’t think they’re paid enough for that.” Van was glad that she was able to keep Vic from going and yelling at the poor postal workers, but it was a little bit annoying that it was something that kept happening. Then again, it probably had something to do with this stupid town and nothing to do with the actual workers. “Yeah, definitely more efficient, probably.” She didn’t really know a whole lot about government and the whole trickle down thing, but she was pretty sure Teddy was right.
“What? Yeah, uh– I mean, I’m not like, paying rent right now. Regan won’t let me pay rent. I gave her…” Was it alright to tell Teddy that she had given her bones? Probably, right? “Bones. There were some bones, and she wanted them, so that’s what I gave her. It’s a lot cheaper than rent, right?” Van let out a nervous laugh. Groceries weren’t really an issue either, mostly because Sly Slice was a source of food. Though, she was getting sick of pizza. “But um, I’m good! Totally good.” She didn’t want to take from Teddy, anyway, especially when they were already offering so much given the whole… both having magic thing. “A Nudi-what?” The topic of it looking like a pokemon did make Van interested, so she pulled out her phone and looked it up, nodding with confirmation at Teddy’s description. “It looks like something that’d be in the game, totally. Wait, that’s so cute. I want them on my money. Way better than old dead white guys.”
“Uncooked? No way, then it doesn’t get all sticky with the chocolate– Oh, crap.” She turned towards the graham crackers on the edge of the rocks, noticing that the chocolate was already beginning to bubble. She carefully moved them to a cooler side of the rock where they wouldn’t continue to cook. Van listened to Teddy as they spoke, and even if she couldn’t really identify with their sentiment, she felt like she needed to tell them that it wasn’t necessary. “I already think you’re like, super cool and whatever. Way cooler than Emilio, so.. I mean.” She shrugged, nudging the graham crackers towards Teddy so that they could place the marshmallows on top. “You can definitely tell him I said that. I think you should use that as like, the way you impress people. Just show them Emilio.” There was no way she’d say that she thought Emilio was cool, so she laid it on thick in regards to thinking Teddy was way cooler. “These look melted enough, right?”
—
“Nobody gets paid enough to be yelled at for a mistake, except maybe like… CEOs but they should be melted with the marshmallows I think.” Teddy hummed a little laugh, briefly imagining a screaming rich dude at the end of their stick rather than a sugary treat. Just like a bedtime story Leviathan would tell. Of comeuppances and shitheels getting what they deserve. “At the very least they’d be happier.” And happy folks tended to work better, or at least make it nice for everyone they interact with. If Ted knew how much trust Van put into their aimless rambling, they’d probably never shut up. So a change in topics was probably for the best.
“Oh! Right, The Death Doc is your landlord. I think I remember you saying that before.” Memories were so fickle, rudely getting lost and mixed up in loose imaginings and potential panicking points. “Bones eh? That sounds about right with her. Definitely cheaper than rent.” They agreed, whole heartedly. Not even missing a beat, as if that was the most normal currency one could offer. Bartering, Teddy thought, was a much better system overall. Everyone could get exactly what they want, or what they need. “Yeah well, if you get in a pinch, I got more food and room than I can shake a salmon at.”
Van pulled out her phone and immediately Teddy perked up. Her impulsive inquisitiveness was one of the things that they always admired about the kid. Reminded them a lot of themself. And the whole of the universe knew how much Teddy Jones loved themself. (Most of the time.) “We should make a club. Specifically so we can have t-shirts with our nudibranch mascot on them. Bet you any money Wynne would think these guys are cute too.”
“Atta girl, you are so right for that. Gooey is the way to goo.” Perhaps not the best phrasing considering the whole town had been covered in a terrible goo not half a year ago. Ahh well, time passed, and the consistency of melty treats was a far cry from the black ichor that messed up so much shit back then. “Oop.” Teddy let out a small sound of surprise as the graham cracker bases were nudged their way, absolutely ready to be made into the perfect S’mores. “Well you are a hundred percent correct on that, but he’s got some cool points. Maybe not from you, Junebug.” Carefully, the older caster split the two marshmallows evenly across the crackers, making sure both got a good amount of goo as well as the crispy golden shell, with specks of burnt just for that added texture and flavor. They smooshed the tops on and handed one over, primed for a cheers motion. “Melted to maximum deliciousness. Bone app the teeth.”

All of the following items have been brought to The Overseer staff’s office for safekeeping until they are claimed. If you recognize one of these items as yours, please visit us to receive your items, or contact us at [email protected]. Lost items will be sent to Twinkly Trash if not picked up after two weeks. Thank you! *Not a real email address.
Item 1: A guidebook on couple’s therapy This guidebook, titled So, You’ve Gotten Married In Vegas was found near Welsknight’s cathedral and appears to have been written in the early 2000s. The binding is well worn and notes are scrawled in the margins of most of the pages. The advice inside appears to have been written by a person who absolutely despises their spouse and desperately wants to divorce them. It reads as less of a guidebook and more as an angrily written diary of someone with an on-and-off relationship with their spouse over the course of 5 years. Staff members have noted feeling ill at ease when reading this book and have the strong urge to pawn it off to the nearest shop that will take it.
Item 2: A baseball card of Honus Wagner Perhaps the most confusing object dropped at the lost and found, this card was found near Impulse’s base and appears to be autographed by the late baseball player himself. It glows in the dark and has been said to whisper prices to anyone who holds it, seemingly random high numbers with no other context other than perhaps what the card could be sold for in another place.
Item 3: A painting of three women asleep at a table This painting appears to have been created sometime between 1982 and 1991, and depicts three women at a 1950s restaurant snoozing away at a colorful table filled with hamburgers, french fries, milk shakes, and waffles. The painting itself is drawn to mimic the cubist art style, and contains vivid colorations of the food more so than the people in the painting.
Item 4: A key ring full of ornate keys This key ring contains approximately 40 keys that are all designed in the style of 1400s French decor. It is unknown what they open or how they were acquired, but staff members have been using them to attempt to open everything that they are able to get their hands on.
Item 5: A kitschy cat wall clock This black cat wall clock has two eyes that tick back and forth in keeping time, as well as a swaying tail. Staff members have noted occasional meowing coming from the clock as well, and the office cats have plotted to see it destroyed over the next few days. If you would like to take this off of our hands, please do so quickly!
Item 6: Two bottles of hand sanitizer These large bottles of hand sanitizer were found near Pearl’s base, each filled half way. They have no unusual qualities and staff members have been using it as well, noting that it has a pleasant perfume mixed in as well.

Tales from Aurea - Session 3 Now Posted!
In honor of the darkest day, Session 3 - Fallen has posted on Royal Road (link here). Enjoy!
Chapter Summary: The companions head to Barsicum to deliver Astinos' letter to Lucretia but along the way the ones who have been hunting Kaja finally find her.
Taglist (ask to be +/-): @drippingmoon, @kainablue, @splashinkling, @space-writes, @aroyalpaininthecass, @thelaughingstag

Chapter preview under the cut
The sun had only just risen, yet the air burned with the oppressive heat of summer days in Aurelia. Kaja swayed miserably, looking as if she might pass out at any moment. She fumbled with her cloak and hood, but knew better than to remove it. Sakrattars handed her his fan and sidled closer to the temple steps, desperate for the meager shade they provided. There was nothing else that could be done without revealing her decidedly non-human nature. They would have to hope it would be cooler on the road than it was in town.
“Over here!” Leif waved. He approached with a friendly grin on his face and a travel pack slung over his shoulder. Behind him was Amale, who wore a sleeveless tunic, looking the most comfortable of them all in the sweltering heat. Leif wiped a stream of sweat from his brow. “This way,” he said.
The party wound through Orium’s largest marketplace, a maze of crowded stalls clustered at the foot of the temple to Aegis, patron goddess of Aurelia. A modest-sized but lavishly gilded statue of her towered over the scene, where farmers haggled with customers over the prices of eggs or bartered away onion baskets in exchange for cloth.
“Here we are,” Leif announced, gesturing to a line of wagons parked on the side of the road. Using his connections, he was able to secure a spot for the party in a small caravan bound for Barsicum. There were a few initial misgivings by the merchants but once Leif had explained that it was a mutually beneficial arrangement, they ultimately conceded. Of course, it had certainly smoothed negotiations when he mentioned that one of the party members was a natiuhan warrior.
The merchants, rubbing the sleep from their eyes, concentrated on overseeing the workers loading the last of their goods into the wagons, carefully counting to make sure everything was present and secured. Nearby, hired guards leaned against posts where their horses were tethered, whittling away the time until departure. Some checked their saddlebags or examined their weapons, others stretched or paced in bored circles. One man broke away from the bustle to greet the party.
“Remus!” Leif greeted him amicably. “Good to see you.”
Remus smiled politely but passed him by to get to Jo without a pause in his step. “So you’re the natiuhan,” he marveled. “I’ve never had the pleasure to work with one before. I won’t have anything to worry about with you around,” he chuckled. “As you can see, my regular guards are a bit lacking.” He jerked a thumb in their direction. Sakrattars looked over to see one of the guards yawning.
“I see,” Jo replied, uninterested.
“Here, why don’t you put your pack in this wagon.” Remus shoved a few sacks out of the way to make room. “The child can ride in here too and maybe one more of you.” He leered at Jo, a twinkle in his eye. “Come, let’s have you up by me. I’ll be driving.”
Humoring him, Jo followed and watched as he struggled to climb onto the driver’s seat. She was about to offer to lift him up, just to see the look on his face, but Leif had worked hard to get them here and she wasn’t about to spoil it for a bit of fun.
The pair of draft horses, who had been standing in relaxed boredom all morning, suddenly tensed when Jo got near. They snorted and trembled, their eyes bulging. Remus, confused by their sudden change in mood, cooed soft words to calm them but the horses were having none of it.
“I don’t think they like me very much,” Jo said, smiling wryly. She was having a bit of fun after all.

So what did Vennesa,Freddy, and Gregory do after security breach
Gregory had never been in charge of a TV before, so he just skimped the channels, most of them were news channels, some early morning kids cartoons that were way too childish for him.
After a while he noticed Freddy was watching also, his eyes narrowing as he looked like he was trying to scan everything he was seeing.
“Have you… ever watched TV?”
“Not outside TV, we were never allowed,” Freddy replied, “We would watch performances, employee safety tapes and sometimes security footage when we were allowed. I once found an old video player and some videos, they were from previous generations of Fazbear animatronics! I must have watched this one particular one a million types, it was a black bear and he was playing a red accordion, he was playing so beautifully, his fingers were moving so elegantly, like he had trained for years, and he had such a friendly smile, it is very hard to find such a friendly face, I kept watching in hopes of learning accordion… I haven’t watched those tapes for years now…”
“Why not?” Gregory asked.
“I was caught watching them one day by the Pizzaplex manager, I was scolded, told those tapes should have destroyed years ago, they were all flawed, and bad influences on me, they were destroyed and I was told to never talk about it again, I never told anyone else about the tapes… I did not understand, some looked creepy, sure, that white and pink one did, but others looked so kind.”
“I think they were being dishonest.”
“No, they… they would not lie to me…” Freddy looked hurt, “They could not have…”
At that moment the door was unlocked, Vanessa walked in, dragging a tower of large boxes behind her, grunting as she slowly inched them inside her apartment.
“Are you alright Officer Vanessa?” Freddy asked.
“Just Vanessa, I’m going to be fired so no point in saying Officer anymore,” She huffed.
“You’ve been gone for a while,” Gregory said.
“Well I made a few stops along the way to get something to eat, I hope you like breakfast burritos, they might be cold but that’s what a microwave is for,” She closed the door behind her and took one box off the tower.
“What’s in the box? You didn’t bring the others here did you?”
“No they’re definitely too aggressive to bring here, hopefully they’ll snap out of it but I’m not sure,” Vanessa said, “I took some parts. I just need to assemble it,” Vanessa ripped into the box and pulled out a few items, immediately they noticed the familiar red shoulder pads, spiked bracelets and large paws.
“You took parts for me?!” Freddy barked, “Vanessa!!”
“The security cameras are busted, they’ll write it off unless they want the police to question why kids have disappeared in the plex. Plus you need a body to defend yourself and Gregory.”
“I guess so however-”
“However we can’t be sure whatever was controlling me isn’t going to be a problem, something is wrong in that place,” She walked to her small kitchen bench and prepared coffee, she glared over the newspaper, she knew it wasn’t today’s paper but she hadn’t seen one in a while so she was curious what had happened in the meantime.
The major headline was about a strange entity appearing at night, so nothing unusual, she flicked through the pages, seeing sport headlines, some local wholesome stories, and a packet of coupons.
She did like some deals, so she glanced over them.
20% OF LAUNDRY LOAD AT HAPPY WASH.
GET A FAMILY SIZE TUB OF ICE CREAM FROM BROWN COW FOR HALF PRICE WHEN SPENDING $30 OR MORE.
TWO LARGE PIZZAS, A SIDE DISH OF PASTA, A SIDE OF GARLIC BREAD, DESSERT AND A LARGE BOTTLE OF COVE COOLER FOR $35, ONLY AVAILABLE AT ROCKSTAR’S PIZZA PLACE.
She stared at the last coupon a little longer than usual, something about the cartoon black bear with a red hat was for whatever reason sending alarm bells in her head.
Her vision turned fuzzy for a minute and she swore she saw the words:
DO NOT ENGAGE.
“Vanessa…?” Freddy asked, concerned.
She brought herself back, she stared longer at the bear, something was off about it, she remembered something, somewhere in her mind, a dream or a memory, it was a warning about something.
She placed the coupon down.
“It’s nothing, let’s eat breakfast, then I can fix your body!” She walked away.

closed starter ; for @richlust
brooks skirts around the rager, his pockets full of party favors that he's more than happy to hand out to attendees for the right price. not normally a people person, he puts on his facade and learns to play nice for the night, if only because there is a paycheck involved. catching sight of a familiar blonde on the back patio he can't help but want to bother, brooks snags a bottle of beer from the cooler before falling in step beside her. " well, well, what do we have here ? " he chides, giving the female an obvious once over. " i see princess diana kensington was able to escape her ivory tower for the evening. " the corners of brooks' mouth twitch in a rare smile. " come to play with us lowly peasants because you've finally realized we're more fun ? " not that this party strictly contained members of his gang affiliation, given it was on neutral ground, but she seemed too... uppity for a place like this.
