Top 10 Best Touring Motorcycles For 2023

By “touring” we mean it in the traditional sense of the word. Touring motorcycles are a special breed. They need to be strong and reliable, and able to accelerate to highway speeds whilst carrying heavy luggage, but they also need to be comfortable and equipped with plenty of accessories to keep riders relaxed for mile after mile. Today, there are more touring motorcycles available than before, each geared towards different riders with different touring ambitions. Organizing this list was no easy task, as our contributors discussed and debated which bikes belonged on this list, until we had ones that we all agreed upon.

I have had a lot of personal heart ache.... heart break really. This is this 1st picture I've been able to do since. I really like it. I put 45 hours into the bike, 13 hours into the character (Heléna). I don't truly believe in done with this, but I really loved designing the CF MOTO 800GT. If you don't know, this bike doesn't at all exist. It's bad on a CF Moto 800nk. In my mind, I picture that it basically has all the same specs as the 800nk, but with a full fairing, more reused ergonomics, and an upgraded WP suspension.

旧北陸本線トンネル群2

前回から続くトンネル群の最後🧐山中トンネル。最も北に位置する

全長1キロ強に及ぶ長さでかなり味のある内観。緑に苔むした壁面のいい趣

煉瓦造りが素晴らしい👍

OMG, this house! What is it going to look like when they move all their stuff out? It's being used as a motorcycle repair shop- I've never seen anything like this one. 1989 build, HIghlands Ranch, CO. 3bds, 3ba, $549,900 + $56mo. HOA.

Good Lord, look at the living room- all the leathers, there has to be more than one living here. Note the bike behind the couch.

Stuff everywhere- even on the high shelf up there above the door.

They're using a kitchen island for easy tool access and they have a special industrial sink.

Parts neatly on the dining room table and a coffee cup. This house was was decorated nicely- look at the roll top desk.

The yard has gone to ruin. 7,013 sq ft lot. It's a nice place, but I don't know if I'd pay $550K for it.

There’s no better place to beat the heat during the summer than Northern California’s coastline. While the rest of the country was baking away in a furnace during a nationwide heatwave last year, we escaped to the coast on a pair of Aprilia Tuareg 660s for some relief on those foggy shores. Mid 50s Fahrenheit never felt so good after facing triple digit temps through the Central Valley on our way to get there. And a chance to ‘legally’ ride on the beach made it all the more enticing. 旧北陸本線トンネル群(海を超えた鉄道)

長浜から今庄迄の険しい山岳を貫く幾つものトンネルが当時の姿のまま保存されている。

スタートは長浜-敦賀間の柳瀬隧道から🫡車のすれ違いは不可なので信号で交互に通る。待ち時間は長めの5分間

反対側に抜けました。

続いて明治14年竣工当時の姿が残る日本最古の現存トンネル小刀根トンネル

ちょっと走って敦賀を越えて樫曲トンネル

歩いて通れる様にランプで照らされている。

次の葉原トンネルはかなり長いので交互通行で待ち時間は五分

全長1キロ弱のトンネルで横に管理用の真新しいトンネル

中はこんな感じで出口が見えない😅

ヤット出口の明かりが見えてきた

此処からは長短幾つものトンネルが次々と出てくる。

晴れた日でも山から染み込んだ水で路面は常にウェットの為、バイクは泥だらけ😭

トンネルから見た外界は美しい😍

短いトンネルでも意外と涼しいので暑い時のツーリングにはもってこい

葦谷砲台跡

旧日本海軍舞鶴要塞の防備として明治時代に築造された砲台群の内、舞鶴港東に位置する。

関電舞鶴発電所横の道から入る。途上舞鶴湾と関電施設の絶景を横目に登って行く。

暫く上がってKBS京都舞鶴中継局あたりから路面がダートに😱葛折を何度かすぎると目の前が開けて日本遺産の碑

奥に進むとありました😁レンガとコンクリート造りの火薬庫

後ろを振り返ってさっき来た方向

レンガの状態がかなり良好。良い雰囲気を残している。

更に奥までバイクで入る。

まだ建物の状態をそのまま残す良好な砲台跡が２つ。

奥の砲台跡は扉も窓も無し

昼間でも辺りを木々に覆われて薄暗くかなり怖い感じ😨

こちらも地下の弾薬庫？に繋がる穴。なんか出てきそうで怖い😱
