En Toulouse, una ciudad importante al sur de Francia, ha estado circulando un cartel publicitario en el que una firma de abogados dice que "no se necesita ser la cabeza de un cartel colombiano para llamar a un abogado". 

La firma detrás de la publicidad es "Barreau Avocats Toulouse" o "Colegio de Abogados de Toulouse", la cual dice emplear a unos 1.800 abogados y opera en la ciudad, que tiene casi 500.000 habitantes.

A través de sus redes sociales, la firma publicó videos y fotos en los que se ve la publicidad que fue lanzada desde 9 de septiembre. "En refugios, detrás de autobuses, pero también en carteleras, los abogados de Toulouse están todas partes", dice la publicación, en la que también invitan a los ciudadanos a tomar fotos a los avisos y etiquetarlos.

Se trata de una campaña que ha generado indignación entre colombianos viviendo en la ciudad por su contenido xenófobo. Además de este mensaje, hay otros textos en las publicidades que circulan en la ciudad que empiezan por "no se necesita" y están precedidos por frases como "ser de la familiar de las leyendas del rock", "ser el jefe de una agencia para influencers" o "haber falsificado el impuesto al carbón", para llamar a un abogado. 

Una publicación de la firma de abogados en Instagram mostrando la publicidad ha obtenido poco más de 100 likes y ha sido compartido unas 230 veces pero la posibilidad de hacer comentarios en el posteo ha sido desactivada, a pesar de que en el resto de publicaciones sí está habilitada".

Este colegio de abogados está apoyado por las firmas Lamy Liaisons, Sg Courtois y el distribuidor de automóviles BMW Perlas Toulouse.

Super League Triathlon, Toulouse

My second SLT was a marked improvement on last week, though the show itself is still a chaotic affair! I was able to contribute a lot more than I did in London - I had ample time to acclimatise to the software, plus I had a clearer picture of what to expect.

It was another altered format of three mini-'athlons but with the three disciplines in a different order each time; each stage was roughly 15 minutes long, and athletes only had 3 minutes in between to rest/reset. I think it was debatable who felt the stress more - the athletes or team GFX! Victor and I were swamped the entire time, and even with our dedicated GFX producer Kate beside us, it was a huge relief to reach the end virtually unscathed.

Not that the trip was flat-out in its entirety; I was able to socialise a bit with Victor and the rest of the team a couple of times, and ended up not only eating at the same restaurant twice (Meet the Meat) but having the exact same meal - duck & dauphinoise washed down with a complimentary Baileys/cream shot!

Thus ends my involvement in SLT for the foreseeable future, but it was cool to add yet another sport to my repertoire, and meet another AE cousin (Victor is a lovely chap) on my travels. As difficult as the shows can be, I think I could put up with it for a few helpings of magrets des canard...

so for the past two years on Tumblr you've known me as Toulouse or touloser, which I'm sure you guessed was a fake name. i kept myself anonymous because no one irl knew that did these drawings or was so embarrassingly obsessed with this beautiful YouTube channel. I guess i underestimated people's ability to put voices to faces, and there've been a lot of rumors flying around about me over the past couple of weeks. so, yes. my real name is Frances Javier, and i'm the artist for universe city and the voice of Toulouse.
