2 paintings by Toshiyuki Enoki: ~ 'Rabbit', 2020. (Acrylic, oil & silver leaf on canvas) ~ 'Toryumon', 2007. Koi-Carp leaping the Dragon Gate. (Acrylic, ink & gold leaf on canvas) When finished swimming up the waterfall, the carp transforms into a dragon. (From Chinese legend "Toryumon-Densetsu", which is also part of Japanese cultural history.) It's symbolic of strength & the ability to overcome obstacles.
