drew the ow strike team as paladins of voltron, because i am normal about them :]

(2 other versions and a fucking essay below the cut!)

ok so im gonna give my reasoning for each of them

Reinhardt - the easierst to pick, the Yellow Lion is the most tank-like (besides the Black Lion, but thats cuz Black is the head + torso), also i think the legs of voltron are supposed to be the "pillars" that allow the team to work well, without them the whole thing crumbles (literally). from what i recall from the actual show, the Yellow Paladin is protective and loyal. Rein was the easiest to match up tbh (plus even the color fits lol)

Torbjörn - not my favourite choice, but tbh i dont think any other lion fits him? besides maybe Yellow, but Rein was too perfect so i couldnt give Torb that one. anyway, the Green Lion is the left hand. i consider the legs to be the "pillars" holding up the team, whereas the arms are the actual damage-dealers/the ones that act on what the leader commands. and as Torb is a dps, that fits just fine. hes not quite a leader, so being the left hand instead of the right is good. plus the Green Lion is inquisitive and curious, and since Torb is a genius, that fits just fine too. i thought he would look weird with green, since i associate him with red-orange-yellow the most, but he looks kinda nice

Ana - i was originally gonna make her blue from the get-go, but i thought it'd be silly to make the remaining three switch lions a bunch, so i can get an excuse to draw Gabe and Jack in multiple suits lmao. but Ana starts out as red, the right hand of Voltron, described as the most temperamental and aggressive. it requires a paladin that can keep up with it and works on instinct most of the time. i feel like Ana would have to BECOME the motherly figure for her team, instead of being one from the start. with that i think she would have been a more "lone wolf" type at first, only later on becoming more mindful of her teammates and how much they need her, which would lead to her becoming the paladin of the Blue Lion - a pillar that keeps the team going along with Rein, a vital part, but no longer in a leadership position. i've seen the Blue Lion described as a "free spirit" too, which i think is also perfect for her :3

Jack - for him i had three options, all of which fit him well: blue, red and black. and instead of picking one, i decided he was going to have three different lions :))) for shits and giggles. so he starts out as blue, a free spirit, very versitile (from what i gathered, the Blue Lion doesn't have a specific "thing" it specilizes in, but instead does a little bit of everything, kinda like Jack). i imagine Jack was the middle-man, an integral part of team-building. he would have been the one to push everyone to work together and follow Gabe's lead, but he was content being on the sidelines most of the time. eventually he takes up more responsibility, sees that he's vital for the team and that he can do more working side by side with Gabe, and so he becomes the paladin of the Red Lion, Gabe's right hand man. then he of course slowly grows to be the actual leader, as Gabe's approach changes and he slowly abandons his original role, passing the command over to Jack. and so Jack's last lion is the Black Lion. also i feel like all three lions fit Jack's color scheme pretty well, so that's another win for me hah

Gabe - since he was the original Strike Commander, i thought it only natural that he would be the first to pilot the Black Lion. the pilot needs to be decisive, stay cool in the face of danger and be someone whose men will follow him into battle with no hesitation - all traits that i see Gabriel would have had to have during the first Omnic Crisis. like i mentioned before, Jack eventually becomes his second in command, and then slowly their roles start to shift. Gabe is no longer content in making decisions for the whole team, he probably also becomes more violent and reckless, relying on Jack to keep him in check. he loses his connection with the Black Lion and becomes the paladin of the Red Lion, Jack's right hand man. the traits of Red fit him well too - aggressive, relies on instinct, temperamental, plus i imagine Gabe is the type to want to get things done as quickly as possible, no matter the risk, to save more people faster. plus, again, the colors match up yaaaay!

Sigma Laboratories (Netherlands) a Control map with 3 levels:

-town (sort of like Dutch busan idk.)

-laboratory (full of boards and papers with scribbled equations and sigma origin story lore. Maybe even a few environmental hazards in the forms of volatile uncontained experiments...)

-rocket launch base (as your capture progress increases, the rocket starts emitting smoke. Capturing the objective launches the rocket!)

Torbintown (Sweden) a Payload map where you escort the Payload through an idyllic Swedish village and Torbjörn's workshop. If you lose you get incinerated by Mega Torb.

Red Promise (Mars) The natural sequel to the Lunar Colony following the addition of Juno. Idk what kind this would be. Probably a Flashpoint map to showcase the red rocky Martian terrain, like how New Junk City (my personal beloathed) sort of highlights the dusty, apocalyptic feel of the Junker lands.

You hummed to yourself while you made dinner, wearing nothing but a tank top and some low sweatpants. Today was a good day, so you were smiling like an idiot while the frying pan was sizzling.

Not often did you get breaks from Overwatch, but when you did, it was always a good time where you could just stay home and do whatever you wanted.

It just kind of sucked that you couldn't spend that time with your boyfriend, who didn't get to take the day off.

But then again, it was always nice to get a break from that cowboy sometimes.

Speaking of, you heard the door click open and the spur of his boots clink on the ground.

"Cole, baby, is that you?" you asked over the sizzling food.

"Yup. Just me, pumpkin, don't worry." He sounded tired.

"How was your day?"

You saw him turn the corner and gasped as he was covered in scratches and bruises that were covered up to their best ability.

"Oh my god, what happened?" you asked, rushing over to him.

"Oh this? It's nuthin'. Don't worry about me, m'kay?" He pressed a kiss to your forehead and took a seat at the dining room table.

"Dammit, Cassidy, I hate when you come home looking like this."

"You've come home worse." he chuckled.

"Yeah, but I can deal with it. I don't like you all hurt."

"I'm fine." he reassured you, watching you cook. "It's just little stuff, that's all. Hurts like hell, but I'm fine."

You sighed. "You better be."

"You know what would help though?"

You cocked an eyebrow when you saw him smirk. "What?"

"Warm dinner. A nice shower. And some cuddle time with my honey."

You smiled. "That does sound nice."

He stood up and walked over to you semi-weakly, but managed to wrap his arms around you, rubbing his thumbs lightly over your waist.

"Smells good." he said.

"Thanks."

"Mhm." He kissed your head and leaned his chin there, just watching you cook. "How was your day off?"

"Relaxing. But I missed you."

"Course you did."

"Shut up." you giggled, plating both of your food.

As you two ate, he told you all about his day fighting dozens of different people and winning, but leaving with pain like no other. How Torb had to swoop in and help, trying to carry Cassidy's fat ass.

You laughed with him and he couldn't help but blush at you.

"All right. Wanna take that shower?" You took both of the empty plates and put them in the sink for later.

"Yes please." he sighed.

You pressed a kiss to his jaw and led him to the shower.

You helped wash all the dry blood off of his body and even washed his hair, which he nearly melted due to the way your nails dug into his scalp.

After the shower though, he wanted to spoil you and carried you to your bed, pressing kisses all over your face.

"St-Stop!" you giggled. "Be careful, Cole, you're still recovering."

"Eh, I'm fine." He kissed you on the lips and looked at you with loving eyes. "If anything, this is making me feel better."

You cupped his face and gave him a kiss on the nose before scratching his beard. "God, you're so pretty." you told him.

He laid next to you and held you in his arms. "You're so pretty."

"Good job today." You kissed him one last time, but he was already out like a light.

DPS Boys & Headcanons!

It's finally arrived; each of the OVW DPS girls have plans to attend a concert, but who would they each go see? These are my personal headcanons (SFW)!

My post with my DPS female headcanons can be found on my profile! Any and all thoughts are welcome, and because this post is a littleee lengthy I've put it under the cut <3

Bastion: Bastion enjoys music, but not enough to bring him to a concert. He doesn't mind if Torbjorn or Brigitte invites him along, but he's too afraid of how busy concerts can be to attend incase it triggers his PTSD.

Cole Cassidy / Cassidy: Similarly to Ashe, he enjoys country music and would love to see artists such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Chris Stapleton. He would do anything to attend one of their concerts, even build his own time machine. He's not too picky though, and he's happy to see whatever band or whoever he can live as it's something he's always enjoyed (and probably always will, even if it's not with the deadlock gang anymore).

Genji Shimada / Genji: I can imagine Genji loves to indulge in music that blends classic japanese styles with pop, hip hop and jazz. He's an introvert by nature though, so it would have to take a lot for him to go to a concert and bring himself to see them with so many people around. Artists like Nujabes, Kitaro and Bonobo would most likely be at the top of his list for who he wants to see live. He appreciates artists who blend Japanese instruments with soothing rhythms and technological beats, it makes him feel as though he's seen through the music and it's something he values.

Hanzo Shimada / Hanzo: Alongside Genji, I can imagine he appreciates artists who are developing the sound of Japanese instruments and blending them with pop and other genres. However, I think he would lean more so towards traditional Japanese performances; it would bring him back to a time when he was younger and more innocent, and it would remind him of his life before the mistakes and choices he made changed everything. He would do what he could to watch Taiko Drumming performances live and to feel the music pound through his feet. I can imagine that he would also aim to go to musical adaptations of Japanese movies, like studio ghibli ones, to enjoy the musical aspect in person. It's something that would calm him and quiet the thoughts that plague his mind and remind him of his guilt.

Jamison Fawkes / Junkrat: I can imagine Junkrat is the type to listen to every genre; if something tickles his brain in the right way, he loves it. He especially would love punk rock, like The Offspring and System of a Down, but also anarchist artists who have politically charged lyrics like Rage Against The Machine. He'd do anything to see them live, and would probably pickpocket everyone there with him.

Gabriel Reyes / Reaper: Reaper is old school, he's an old man. He likes his metal music and his dark, moodly classics, such as Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Korn and Tool. He would be the type to stand in the crowd and watch the mosh pits happening, without really doing anything other than tapping his foot and drinking. He appreciates the music of course but in his own way that scares everyone off around him.

John Francis "Jack" Morrison / Soldier: 76: Jack's taste in music is definitely influenced by his upbringing in Minnesota; he loves blues, jazz and gospel music despite not being entirely religious (or as religious as he used to be, before the soldier program). As such, he would definitely try to see Duke Ellington, Thelonious Monk, and Count Basie at least one last time before anything happened to him and prevented him from doing so, even just for old time's sake and for nostalgia. He views them as traditional American musicians, and would do what he could to see them live (if he has the chance to of course).

Torbjörn Lindholm / Torbjörn: Torb would be the type to enjoy classic rock and alternative folk music; it's something you'd hear in his home constantly while he works. He's at an age where he's been to enough concerts, and doesn't feel the need to anymore especially when he has more work to complete with undoing the harm he believes he's caused (via the omnic wars). If he was asked if he could see anyone in an alternate universe without any limits, he would struggle to pick between Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Sabaton and Buddy Guy.

Alright I do this every season now but I wanna talk about the s13 skins. It's not full of negativity, I promise, just me rambling about each of the skins they've shown us cause I wanted to do a deep dive into them

**Spoilers to the s13 trailer, go watch it if you want a better look at the skins/some extra things I don't touch on here

1. Widow Mythic

Lowkey. Love this skin. It's actually so well made and cute and detailed. As a Widow player km happy with this skin. Was I hoping Ramattra (or another tank) to get the mythic this season? Yes, absolutely. But I read a comment somewhere that gave a decent reasoning to why there's been more dps mythics; because there's more dps.

Looking at it as a bigger picture, if Blizzard were to stick to the rotation idea they had originally, then we'd go through the tank roster in just a couple of seasons, then we'd go through the support, and we'd have a large chuck of time of only dps mythics until a new tank or support was added to the game. Do I like that they did 3 dps in a row? No, not really, I feel like this season could have been a tank and maybe next a dps or whatever, but from now on I'm expecting there to be 2-3 seasons in a row of dps mythics because there's a larger amount of them than the other two roles.

2. BP Skins pt 1

Okay. For starters, in case anyone can't immediately recognize who each character

Ana, Sojourn, Sigma, J. Queen, Torbjorn

First off, Gnome Torb is not at all what I was expecting but sends me into a fit of giggles every time I see him.

Secondly, necromancer-esqe JQ skin is awesome. Love the design and color scheme for her.

Sigma, interesting skin compared to the rest but I've come to accept that BP skins don't always (any at all) follow the BP theme. (at least this theme pretty much all the skins do somehow fit the theme, and I can see some arguments made for Sigma here). Not to say this is a bad skin though, I actually really like it; a lot more than the sailor skin honestly.

Sojourn looks a bit... flat out of them. There just isn't as much detail going on compared to the other four, which is unfortunate but maybe it's because of the camera angle/pose she's in that hides more details. 100% love the gun design though. I'm glad they gave Sojourn a skin too.

Okay. I genuinely could not tell who the first person was. I fully thought it was Junkrat because of the crouch/hunched over pose. But then I saw everyone calling them Ana, and then I saw another photo with them stand straight up and with Ana's gun. So apparently that's Ana. Great skin, I just wish they chose a different pose for this photo cuz it's hard to tell who it is (for me at least).

3. BP Skins pt 2

There's a lot here so I'll keep it short (and go in order)

Winston. I like it, it's a nice skin though a bit hard to see fully since he's in the back. I'm just kinda glad they didn't recolor his werewolf skin.

Mercy. If I you are new to my account, I am a Mercy main. Fully and wholeheartedly. I feel like this skin is a bit... unneeded at the moment. Given she's gotten a handful of skins recently but that's just common for this game so I'm not gonna talk into a brick wall. I'm not huge fan of this skin visually, idk just doesn't appeal to me but I'm sure it does to others.

Tracer. Not gonna talk about Tracer getting a BP skin and a collab skin in the same season. Good skin as well, though i feel like they felt the need to just, slap on some animal ears? I don't really see the point in them I feel like the skin didn't need the ears but sure.

Symmetra. My girl is slaying front and center. I feel like they tend to make really good skins for Sym, when she does get a skin. Also, I'm questioning the kitties with her and JQ. New Victory poses maybe? I love that they're matching either way.

Kiriko. Genuinely, its decent. Definitely not her best skin, but I can see people using it. (shes getting 3 skins this season everyone :D)

Illari. Not a fan of the hair...? it looks like they gave her a bob cut from the front, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be like a braided crown? Correct me if I'm wrong? I love the dress though. Love that they're giving the sun based character such a dark and gloomy appearance, it fits her personality sm despite literally radiating the sun.

Ashe. My honest opinion, and maybe a hot take idk, I don't look at Ashe skins for Ashe. I look at them for Bob. Sure some of them Ashe looks good, but for me it's Bob that carries the skins. It's literally the reason I didn't get the Ashe mythic despite playing her. I'd have only gotten it because of Bob. I like the color scheme of this skin, and in this one Ashe does look really cool, but like Sojourn it's a bit lacking compared to the rest. To me it's only compelling aspect is the neon color, it's the only feature that draws me to the skin tbh.

4. Recolors

I'm gonna keep this brief. Cool, variants to already existing skins. I'm not spending the same amount of coins for a recolor as I did for the original, I hate that that's normal.

Anyone can make a recolor, I can make one. You can make one. They shouldn't cost as much as the original if all your doing is picking new colors and maybe adding/removing a small feature of the original.

There's been an influx of recolors with the magma and ocean bundles that were in the shop, to this season, and I'm sure plenty of more coming soon. I just want them to be discounted a bit, maybe if the original costs gold coins, have the recolor cost white instead idk.

5. New Tank

So maybe no mythic, but tank players will be getting a new hero added to their roster; so I hope they aren't super mad (I genuinely don't know how to feel about it I have barely over 10 hours on tank I'm being so fr)

I'm hoping they shake up the game (in a healthy way). With Orisa back in rotation and Hog/Mauga sitting to the side ready to ruin the game at a moments notice again, I'm hoping this new tank is balanced and fun to play for tank players, and doesn't get hard countered by a majority of the roster (or just Sombra) and makes them unplayable.

Okay, I think that's it. Idk if I'll add more once we see the full bp, probably not tbh I feel like it'll be redundant. I didn't talk about the gamemode or map changes cause I wanna see more about them before commenting about them.

For now tho, the gamemode looks interesting, I'll be happy to try it. I'm so glad they're doing more map changes, I hope along with them they add more seasonal variants to newer maps but I'll wait and see.

I can't believe I have to add this as well, but with how last szn trailer went I'm going to for the sake of my sanity and people who interact with this post;
