Something I really love about the Silt Verses is how, in a world of gods and monsters, how grounded Faulkner's trauma [and relationship with his father] is. Especially as the season moves on, and the stakes amp up [and up] its so unexpectedly piercing to be presented with this exploration of childhood abandonment/negligence, inter-generational trauma, the indignities and stress that comes with unexpected elder care/early onset Alzheimer's. You're so locked in to these grander, more abstract concepts that your defenses are down! Mine were, anyway. TSV is so good at cutting its grand, complex plotlines with simpler [but not shallower] gutpunches, and it just grounds the whole thing.

i don’t think it would cross sam’s mind to want to top dean unless he asked, and i don’t think dean would ever ask. not only because he’s canonically straight and homophobic but also because he’s just so desperate for control over sam, their unhealthy dynamic is the only way for him to have some power (something he was deprived of when he was younger, because of john). and lbr dean wants to possess him SO bad, has been waiting for it for years, years of wanting to sink his teeth into sam and never let go. he wouldn’t want to bottom in the first place, much less in this relationship

thinking about writing this raphstarion fic concept:

astarion asks raphael about his scars. raphael is just like "yeah sure i'll tell you what they mean, in exchange for your services"

this is where communication breaks down. astarion goes to the house of hope thinking he's about to get railed and is mentally preparing himself for that, meanwhile raphael is oblivious and just invited him over to discuss assassinating yurgir over a few glasses of blood/wine or whatever.

once they get there astarion is acting all seductive and raphael is kind of into it, but genuinely just thinks astarion has a crush on him or a devil fetish or something.

once raphael starts to discuss the terms of their deal, astarion realizes he was not in fact hired for sex, but notices that raphael is acting a bit cockier/flattered by his attentions, so he tones it down but doesn't fully stop so not to insult the devil. at the end, raphael is just like, "you know, you're welcome to the boudoir if you like. i think you'd enjoy my incubus."

raphael goes back to toril for whatever business he has, leaving astarion in a guest room for the night, and astarion does not visit the boudoir because he really isn't interested. by the time astarion gets back with the rest of the group and raphael returns to the house of hope, he goes to haarlep and is just like, "did you get the vampire's form?" all the while already undressing.

haarlep is loving the enthusiasm but is just like "what vampire?"

and then raphael is very disappointed to learn that astarion did not visit haarlep and from that point on kind of has a bit of a weird obsession with astarion.

i think that would be funny. i like to think that raphael continues to believe astarion definitely has a crush on him and never figures out why astarion didn't visit the boudoir

As a person with lots of transformers stuff I need your opinion. In my fic "Salty wound" Megatron and Starscream are together after he broke up with Prime and Starscream is the top. The last encounter ended with Megatron cuffed to bed while Starscream teased him with scratching so I genuinely wonder what's your opinion on Megatron bottoming? Especially since it's transformers prime and Starscream is so small compared to him.

i've never seen an actual riza liker who is adamant about her being a top it usually only comes from people who will just say it about any female character because it's an easy way to pretend to care about her while not being capable to say anything actually meaningful about the character.
