i think that....slowbro does kind of move on? She meets a mantine at one of her kimono performances who thinks she's just the most beautiful woman. And she moves into cianwood w her soon enough...

...but one day slowbro sees ampharos again in cianwood. While she's stuck w suicune.

And!! Shes. Not mad..surprised! But not mad? Slowbro invites ampharos over and mantines sweet and maybe a little protective at first but...at some point they almost seem like they would be open to letting him stay w them. Maybe even be part of this life they've built....

And at this point ampharos actually feels nice and. And like maybe things aren't so bad...until suicune asks...

there's a scene in Look Back where Fujino bounces her leg in a very specific way that I think it's very relatable. it reaches a point where you can feel her anxiety through the screen and honestly i felt so seen because I do that a Lot when I'm stressed while writing or working. I loved the character acting they did for this movie.

Ok first I have been listening to audios I think the one I started listening to was Wildfire?? OMG I DONT THINK I UNLOCKED THAT ONE YET? I think I’ve listened to all of the rafayel ones I’ve unlocked so far I think the next one I have to unlock is called sleep aid? Which I’m hoping it’s him fucking us to sleep HAHAHA OH YOU DONT LIKE THE CLAW MACHINE? Can I give you tips without sounding crazy pretentious and annoying? especially with the more ROTUND plushies, try to use your first try to knock it on to its side and then aim for the smallest part of the plushie! With fussy kitty, try to knock him over and then aim for where his body and his head meet. Usually that’ll give you the best chance at being able to get it, especially if it’s super chunky butt slides into the curve of the claw if that makes sense. The exceptions to that, otherwise known as the BANES OF MY EXISTENCE, are the boing fishes and the cone crabs THEYRE SO IRRITATING.

But playing the claw machine so much on lads has made me actually really good at real life claw machines by implementing the same rule of thumb! i know charles ends up plot-wise mostly being there to give merrick further reason to leave for peru, but i do think he provides an interesting angle on the themes of disability throughout tbs (which i am, by the way, by no means an authority on so maybe take my views with a grain of salt). i mean, he is so very insecure about his own disability, and how it relates to his position as the older of the two brothers. he feels such a need to assert his authority, to make it clear to merrick that he is the one that owns helligan, that he is the one who is in charge and makes decisions about it. and when merrick returns with a disability of his own he doesn't let that act go, and in part that's just because he's kind of a dick, but i'd also think that part of it might how he'd probably not have that much experience around other disabled people whom he views as needing to 'prove himself' to. this, in contrast of course, to bedlam, where the approach to disability is far more 'everyone has their own needs, and everyone gets those needs provided for' because that's a comunity where it's not only considered normal and destigmatized but there also exists the systems and the experience in place to provide for different abilities and conditions. which you know, is probably very different from the disabled experience in 1850's england, and that's reflected pretty heavily in merrick's own reflection upon his own abilities at the beginning of the novel vs. what he ends up seeing in bedlam
