Being Karasuno’s Manager
🧁🍩Miss Manager loves to Bake 🍪 🍰
Karasuno featuring Seijoh x female! manager (she/her pronouns)
Warnings: pure fluff
AN: This is probably the cutest anon request ever 🥹
Let me just say this
Kageyama might be “king of the court” but YN is “Queen of Karasuno” 👸
Honestly these boys absolutely worship you
Literally, they act as if they don’t have three managers
They literally will lay down in a puddle of mud while you step on them
Will do the above 👆 for any of their three managers
But you, you my love are super special to our boys
Why you ask?
Well it’s because you provide them with nutrients to survive 😌
That’s right, your love of baking and the fine art of culinary creations only helps you out with our beloved crows
You’ve learned to cater to all their needs
Filling recipes with top tier ingredients for success
Things like fruits, nuts, and even sneaking some veggies in there
Like zucchini bread or carrot cake
Listen, even if it’s in a desert, it still counts as a fruit or veggie
I don’t want to hear “tHe SuGaR cAnCeLs It OuT”
Because like these boys need the sugar to run and jump all over the place ok 🤚🏻
You bake almost daily as a form of stress release and therapy
Please you need it with the team you manage 🙄
And you always bring in the treats for the boys!
And they ALWAYS eat them up
“These are fantastic Yn what are they called?” Hinata asks
“They are Fudgy Pumpkin Brownie bites! It’s a new recipe!” You exclaim as Kageyama and Noya go in for thirds
“You fit a whole pumpkin in here Yn?!?” Hinata : D
You 👉🏻😐
“I think she means that there is pumpkin in the recipe not one per bite,” Ennoshita explains
I never claimed they were smart Yn
Anyways, you are always there to help our precious boys fill their bellies
You are in charge of snacks for games and practice, often finding joy in everything you do
So when the prelims for the road to spring nationals start, you are busy whipping up some goodies
You bake the entire weekend before, preparing for every possible scenario
Protein muffins for in between matches
Chocolate chip cookies for after they win matches
You even prepare some of your famous Strawberry shortcake cookies just incase the boys happen to lose
Not that we think they will, don’t get me wrong but it’s always nice to be prepared
Anyways, the prelims start and Karasuno dominates
Like, did we really thinking they wouldn’t 💅
Anyways, tensions run high as the boys go into their match with Seijoh
You remember the first time they fought against Seijoh and how the loss crushed them
But fueled up on your high-protein muffins, these boys are ready to kick butt!
And kick butt they do!
They beat Seijoh and prepare to meet Shiratorizawa in the finals
After the game, you notice how upset Seijoh is after their loss
You knew this was the third years last tournament and seeing them cry hurt
You thought about if it was your boys
And with that, there was only one thing left to do
So you pulled out a piece of paper and wrote a little note and stuck it in the box of cookies
As your team was preparing to leave, you grabbed your box of Strawberry Shortcake cookies and ran over to Seijoh
Karasuno rn 👉🏻👀
“Excuse me?” You said as the entire Seijoh team turned around and looked at you
“You guys played an excellent game and you deserve these,” you said handing Seijoh your expertly wrapped cookies
Oikawa accepted, saying nothing
Please you left him speechless
Too bad Kunimi’s too sad to even record this moment 😭
You smile and wave as you run back to your team
Meanwhile, back the gym the Seijoh boys are extremely sad
“Hey what did that manager from Karasuno give you Oikawa?” Kindaichi asked as Oikawa reached for the box
He reached for it, opening it as the note slipped out
Iwa picked the note up and began reading it
It read “Thank you for playing your hardest! You deserve these. Xoxo YN, Karasuno’s Manager”
“It’s cookies,” Oikawa said as he began to pass them around and Iwa showed Oiks the note
Oikawa rn 👉🏻😐🥺😭
Please the entire Seijoh team is eating your cookies and crying Yn 😩
The next few days go by
You are in the gym taking notes when a teacher comes to get you
“Excuse me?”
“Yes,” Takeda asks
“Umm there is a team of boys at the front gate here to see Yn,” the teacher says
Karasuno 👉🏻 a team…. OF BOYS 😐😑
Tanaka and Noya 👉🏻 FOR YN?!?? 😡🤬
“Oh my ok!” You say, getting up and walking towards the gates of Karasuno
Tanaka, Noya, Kags and Hinata are ready to go
It takes the entire rest of the team to hold them back 🙄
“WHAT IF THEY KIDNAP YN??” Noya shouts
“They literally showed up at the front of school in broad daylight, like that’s gonna happen,” Suga say, rolling his eyes
“Someone has never watched dateline before,” Tanaka adds
Of course, you ignore them and head for the gates
As you approach, you see the white track suits
You 👉🏻😐😳
“Umm hi,” you say as the boys of Seijoh all look at you
“Team!” Oikawa shouts and they all scream
“THANK YOU FOR THE COOKIES YN!” while bowing
You rn 👉🏻😐😳🥹
“You are so welcome! Thank you for coming!” You say smiling and going to hug them
You hug Iwa first and boy is he stiff 😅
It’s safe to say the entire Seijoh team is now in love with you Yn 🥰
Bonus
“Omg is Oikawa crying?” Kageyama says, shoving Hinata out of the way as they watch around the corner.
“Hey watch it butthole!” Hinata shouts as he pushed Kageyama out of the way.
“I’d cry too if YN hugged me,” Noya added as Tanaka nodded.
“You guys are about to have something to cry about if you don’t get your butts back to the gym RIGHT NOW!” Daichi shouted, looming over them as the boys all turned and ran back to the gym.

˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ bf!anton pt. 2 ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
bye this is so long overdue oops !! part one is here !!
bf!anton likes to send you little texts throughout the day just to update you on what he's doing while on schedules and he most definitely miss you :(
he would also send tik toks and .5 pics of his hyungs just for funisies and you should send some back !!!
speaking of tik toks, yall would spend hours creating some !! your drafts are filled with 100s of silly little videos
especially trendy couple vids like this one :))
bf!anton would definitely bring you around to hang out with his hyungs and of course they would tease him !!
but don't worry because you would definitely defend your man if needed be !!
like imagine one night yall are having a group movie night and you're all snuggled up next to tonny and giving him a smooch on the cheek
next thing you know eunseok is like "ugh get a room :P"
without a beat your response would be like "damn bro i would be mad too if i didn't have someone kissing up on me like get a gf :P"
everyone is like ":O ohhhhhh shit!" "you finally met your match hyung :)" lmao you and eunseok would go toe to toe !!
you gets down and you dont play about your tonny !! it's all jokes though so no worries :))
aside from that anton would feel so much pride and happiness from the sight of you getting along with his hyungs esp sohee !! but like sohee was lowkey his wingman tho LMAOOO
tonny is an unconfirmed taurus venus, which in my delulu head means one of his favorite things to do with you is taking a nap or cuddling which leads to said naps !!
he just give top tier cuddler like !! his arms look so warm and welcoming adafklhfjhafjhd
imagine yall cuddling up all nice and peaceful !! you're wearing one of his t-shirts and he's holding you all warm and snug throughout the night against his chest ahhh !! i would simply just die right then and there fr !!
the next morning you wake up with his arms still around you and you're like stuck physically because his arms are locked in !!
it's always the same scenario of you two being like
"ant we gotta get up :3" "ahh just five more minutes baby :3"
his sleepy self would refuse to let go because being bed with you is like paradise !! and he doesn't want it to end...unless...
"i'll make your special yogurt parfait you like for breakfast :)"
he would relunctantly let you go but only because how could he turn down his special greek yogurt parfait that he is more than capable of making himself made by the love of his life ???
and it's not even all that !! you literally found a recipe on tiktok and made it for him one day !! now he texts you every now and then wishing you were around to make it !!
"babe it's literally four ingredients ??" "but it's not the same when you don't make it :(("
food would be another part of his love language because we all know how much our boy loves his snacks !!
and how could you deny your boyfriend from a treat that's handmade from you ?? like make it make sense ??
thanks for reading and waiting lmaooo !! might make make this a series but no promises !!

Can i have a little request, where SO GN!reader loves to cook, and every time Leon arrives home, there's a nice and tasty meal. So, in return he tries to cook dinner for them?
I have the thought that he's terrible at cooking, and if he does something it's just... Edible.
Poor leon, juat tries his best to impress their SO :'3
𝐥𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐝𝐲 ; “ 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞-𝐨𝐮𝐭 ”
tbh it’s a 50/50 for me when it comes to leons cooking skills. at the same time i think he sucks ass but on the other hand ( i still strongly believe he’s part italian ) just him cooking his childhood recipes for you because it’s his love language. the struggle is real.
leon s kennedy x gn!reader
warnings ; leons near death experience in the kitchen, medical inaccuracies
usually it was the other way around. leon was the one that you had to wait for for hours or sometimes even days at a time but not this time around. it so happened that the DSO finally let him have his vacation uninterrupted.
so he decided to repay your kindness. with all this free time he started to get restless and frustrated. he was so used to always being somewhere, doing something and living of off this adrenaline rush. leon thought it would be a nice change of pace to try something in the kitchen but he couldn’t have been more wrong.
⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
it was nearing 10pm when you finally came back home. for the past week your boss was not going easy on you. in fact it felt as if he was pushing you to your limits.
as you unlocked the front door all you could think about was a nice bath and going to sleep wrapped up in leons arms. you were expecting him to be in the living room watching tv but instead you could smell something burning in your kitchen.
before you could process what was going on you heard a loud thud and a string of curses coming from leon. it ripped you away from your train of thoughts and you quickly walked towards the entrance to your kitchen.
the sight in front of you was amusing. leon holding his hand under a stream of cold water, a pan of what you suppose used to be tomato sauce that was now all over the floor and cabinets.
“ lee, honey, what happened here? ” you asked as you slowly walked up to him trying to maneuver your way without walking into splashes of still hot sauce.
“ i burned myself on the handle of the pan and well, the rest i think you can figure out yourself. ” you couldn’t stop the chuckle that escaped your lips at his beat up expression. to think that a top tier government agent had struggled with the task of making dinner was hilarious. of course you would never berate him for that or make him fell bad about it but the situation was just amusing.
“ it’s not funny. ”
“ i’m sorry, i’m sorry… but it is a little bit funny. ” you turned off the water and inspected the burn on his hand. it wasn’t bad but you could already see the bubbles slowly forming and as you slightly pressed around the mark left by the handle he hissed.
“ okay, keep your hand under the cold water. i’ll go grab something to soothe the burn and we’ll clean up the mess. ”
⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
in the end you ordered some chinese take out from the only place still open at this hour. it wasn’t some fancy dinner but right now you could eat a horse with the hooves so it didn’t matter.
leon unfortunately was still grumpy about the whole ordeal. even more so that the injured his dominant hand and for the life of him couldn’t operate around with the other hand, so you ended up feeding him yourself.
“ come on, don’t be like that. ” you grinned at his dissatisfied face as you held a bite of rice noodles in front of him with your chopsticks.
“ this is fucking embarrassing. ”

[A3!] Sakuya Sakuma | [SSR] Devil Maid’s Reward | Homemade Omurice
Guest A: Everything was once again delicious today.
Guest B: We’ll come again!
Sakuya: Yes, please do come again! Thank you so much!
*Shop bell rings*
Store Manager: Good work, Sakuma-kun.
Sakuya: Good work to you too. Seems like the lunch rush is over.
Store Manager: Yeah, things have finally settled down. You’ve been so busy all day, aren’t you tired?
Sakuya: A bit… But it makes me happy to see so many smiles on the customer’s faces, so I’m totally fine!
Store Manager: Being able to say things like that is what’s so great about you, Sakuma-kun.
Sakuya: Really? Thank you!
Store Manager: Haha, alright, after you clear that table, why don’t you take a break, Sakuma-kun? I made napolitan for the employee meal, so why don’t you have some?
Sakuya: Wait, there’s napolitan today? I’m glad!
Sakuya: (I can’t wait to have napolitan.)
Store Manager: If it looks like there won’t be too many more customers today, do you want to try making that one dish again?
Sakuya: Can I really? I’d love that!
Store Manager: You’ve gotten pretty good at making it, so I’m guessing today will be the last day I teach you.
Sakuya: Ahaha, I’ll do my best to make sure that’s the case.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Sakuya: Good morning, Yuki-kun.
Yuki: Morning. Wait, forget about that. I didn’t know you were still here, Sakuya.
Sakuya: Yeah, I’ve been stretching in the rehearsal room… Are you going out somewhere today, Yuki-kun?
Yuki: I have new clothes I want to make, so I’m staying here.
Sakuya: I see! Can I see them whenever you make them?
Yuki: If I finish them.
Izumi: Ah, Sakuya-kun and Yuki-kun. So you two are still in the dorms.
Sakuya: Us two…?
Yuki: Oh, yeah, it has been awfully quiet today, hasn’t it?
Izumi: Everyone else left this morning, so I guess it’s just us for now.
Sakuya: Huh, really? It’s kinda weird for there to be so few people here.
Izumi: Will you be going to your part-time job today, Sakuya-kun?
Sakuya: Nope, I’m off today.
Izumi: Gotcha, so you’ll be able to take things easy then!
Sakuya: Yeah! I’m thinking of relaxing and reading the play I borrowed from the library later.
Sakuya: …Ah, right. You like omurice, right, Yuki-kun?
Yuki: I do, but why?
Sakuya: I’ve actually been learning how to make omurice at my part-time job recently.
Izumi: When you say at your part-time job, do you mean the Western-style restaurant Hanamura’s?
Sakuya: Yeah!
Yuki: I thought you were a server.
Sakuya: That’s my main job, but sometimes I’d end up in the kitchen doing dishes or something.
Sakuya: And I ended up watching the people in there cook…
Sakuya: After that, the manager started teaching me how to make omurice every once in a while when there weren’t that many customers.
Izumi: So that’s why! That was really nice of the manager to teach you.
Sakuya: Yeah. They’ve been really good to me!
Yuki: …So, what you’re saying is that you know how to make Hanamura’s omurice too.
Sakuya: Yeah, I’ve just finally memorized the recipe and the steps to making it pretty well.
Yuki: Huh, that’s great.
· ❀ —– ٠ ❀ ٠ —– ❀ ·
Yuki: Hanamura’s omurice is pretty good.
Izumi: Yeah, their omurice is good, but so are their other dishes too.
Sakuya: Really!? Thank you.
Yuki: I dunno what you’re saying thank you for, you’re not the one making the dishes.
Sakuya: I also love Hanamura’s food because it’s so delicious, so I was just happy to hear you both say it’s good!
Yuki: Well, I guess I get how you feel. Hanamura’s omurice is pretty top-tier.
Izumi: It’s the kind that’s got chicken rice wrapped in it!
Sakuya: I like the kinda omurice that’s got ketchup on it!
Yuki: That’s the kind where you can write or draw stuff with the ketchup before you eat it. Omurice made the real way like that is no doubt the best, in my opinion.
Yuki: Man, talking about omurice has made me kinda hungry…
Izumi: Ah, it’s already past noon! I didn’t even realize. Alright, let’s find something to eat then.
Izumi: Is there anything you guys want for lunch? If I can make it, I’ll make it, otherwise, I can go out and buy something…
Sakuya: Um, well… If the two of you want, why don’t I make some omurice?
Izumi: Huh, you will, Sakuya-kun?
Sakuya: Yeah. And if we’re missing ingredients, I’ll go out and buy them. What do you guys think?
Izumi: I think we have all the ingredients, but… Are you really sure?
Sakuya: Of course! I mean, I wanted to make it for you, Yuki-kun, since you like omurice, and for you, Director, as thanks for always looking out for me, so…
Izumi: Thank you, I’m glad to hear that.
Yuki: You do know I’m pretty picky about my omurice, right?
Sakuya: I do. That’s why I want you to try omurice made by me…
Yuki: Hmm. Well, I just so happened to have been craving some omurice, so good luck.
Sakuya: Great! I’m gonna make delicious omurice just like from Hanamura’s, so look forward to it!
· ❀ —– ٠ ❀ ٠ —– ❀ ·
Izumi: Alright, Yuki-kun and I will be in the dining room, so just call if you need anything.
Sakuya: Okay, thank you so much!
Sakuya: Alright, time to start cooking. For the ingredients, I need to get out…
Sakuya: Onions, bell peppers, chicken… Ah, and mushrooms. Good thing we’ve got all the ingredients!
Sakuya: First, I need to finely chop the onions…
Sakuya: (This’ll be divided among three people, so I’ll need quite a bit.)
Sakuya: Ueh…
Sakuya: (My eyes are watering… But I’ve gotta power through in order to make some delicious omurice!)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Sakuya: I’ve finished cutting up the bell peppers and the mushrooms too, now all that’s left is to cut up the chicken to be the size like how I was taught…
Sakuya: …Alright, I’m finished cutting things up.
Sakuya: Next, I’ve gotta beat the eggs and add a bit of milk and salt to them.
Sakuya: Then I just need to prepare the rice and then… There, everything’s ready to go!
Sakuya: (Time to get started on making some chicken rice! I just need to heat the frying pan, and then add some oil…)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
*Pan sizzling*
Sakuya: (...And now the chicken rice is complete! Good thing I was able to follow the recipe.)
Izumi: It’s starting to smell good.
Yuki: Seems pretty promising.
Sakuya: (I’m glad they’re both looking forward to it.)
Sakuya: It’s almost ready, so you’ll only have to wait for a bit longer!
Izumi: Feel free to take your time!
Yuki: I don’t want you screwing it up.
Sakuya: (All I’ve gotta do is cook the eggs, and then add the chicken rice before rolling it up.)
Sakuya: (But the cooking conditions are pretty tricky, so I’ve gotta adjust things and then shape them, so here’s where I’ve gotta really focus in…!)
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Sakuya: The omurice is done! It got kinda misshapen, but…
Izumi: Wow, it looks so good!
Yuki: Well, it looks good enough, at least.
Sakuya: I brought ketchup, so you can put it on however you’d like.
Yuki: Alright, I wanna draw something, so I’ll use it first. I’ve just gotta do something like this, and…
Izumi: That’s Yurukuma!
Yuki: Bingo.
Sakuya: Whoa, that’s really good! I wanna try drawing something like you did too.
Yuki: Okay, here’s the ketchup.
Sakuya: Thanks. I think I’ll draw some kinda animal too. Okay, first I’ll do the outline…
*Ketchup splashes out*
Sakuya: Uwhoa!?
Izumi: That came out so forcefully…!?
Yuki: Now, what exactly compelled you to strangle it? Your omurice is practically drowning in ketchup.
Sakuya: I was gonna try drawing something… Well, I guess I can’t draw anything anymore.
Yuki: You’d probably be able to do it if you actually do it right, but… It’d still be hard.
Sakuya: Yeah…
Izumi: Ah, then do you wanna swap with my omurice? There hasn’t been any ketchup put on it yet, so you can draw on it!
Sakuya: Huh!? But this one’s smothered in ketchup, I can’t let you eat that, Director…
Izumi: It’s fine, it’ll taste the same! Here, we’ll switch.
Sakuya: …Ah, then we don’t have to switch. Why don’t I just draw something on your omurice, Director?
Izumi: Are you sure?
Sakuya: I’m sure! Like you said, it’ll taste the same, so I can just eat mine.
Izumi: Gotcha. Well, if you’re sure about it, then feel free to go ahead, Sakuya-kun!
Sakuya: Thank you so much!
Sakuya: (This time I’ve gotta be careful…)
Sakuya: …
Sakuya: …Done!
Yuki: Huh, that’s not half bad.
Sakuya: Really? It makes me happy to be praised by you like that, Yuki-kun.
Izumi: Is this a drawing of a cat, Sakuya-kun?
Sakuya: Ah, yeah! I’m glad you were able to tell.
Izumi: Hehe, it’s cute!
Yuki: Now that we’re done with the ketchup, let’s hurry up and eat. Th: e omurice is gonna get cold.
Sakuya: Right, let’s eat!
Sakuya & Yuki: Let’s eat.
Izumi: Let’s eat!
Izumi: Ah, it’s really good! It’s just like Hanamura’s omurice.
Yuki: Yeah, it seems like you followed the recipe perfectly.
Sakuya: I couldn’t afford to screw it up knowing that you two would be eating it…
Izumi: Hehe, I appreciate it. It’s thanks to that that it tastes so good!
Izumi: Ah, right. You’ve still got quite a bit of ketchup there, Sakuya-kun.
Sakuya: You’re right…
Izumi: Can I use some of it then?
Yuki: Ah, I’ll take some too.
Sakuya: Sure, here you go!
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Yuki: Ahh, I’m stuffed.
Izumi: Hehe, same here. That was really good.
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Choose!
· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·
Option 1: Thanks for the delicious omurice.
Izumi: Thank you for the omurice, Sakuya-kun.
Sakuya: You’re welcome. But I also have to thank you for eating it!
Izumi: Even if you follow a recipe exactly, it’s hard to make a dish the same way it’s made at a restaurant because stuff like heat and other things can cause even minor changes.
Izumi: It was really good! Just like what you’d eat at a restaurant! I could really tell that you practiced a lot, Sakuya-kun.
Sakuya: Ehehe, I’m happy to hear you say that!
Option 2: That was a luxurious lunch.
Izumi: That was a luxurious lunch we had today.
Yuki: It really was just like Hanamura’s omurice.
Sakuya: But it was shaped kinda wonky, and I messed up with the ketchup drawing…
Izumi: But it still tasted really good, so it’s okay!
Izumi: Plus, the picture you drew on my omurice was really cute.
Sakuya: Ehehe, thank you so much.
Sakuya: It really is fun to cook when there’s someone there to eat it!
Yuki: I’m expecting to get some nicely shaped omurice next time you make it.
Sakuya: Yeah, I’ll work hard to make sure the omurice is perfectly shaped next time!
Yuki: When that happens, I’ll draw something cute on your omurice, Sakuya.
Sakuya: Really? I’m glad. Well, I’ll look forward to that!
#a3!#a3! translation#sakuya sakuma#yuki rurikawa#// yippee i’m back sorta#yeah so crazy story 90+ hrs of back to back t1 ranking kinda burns you out apparently#so tls are probs gonna be kinda slow for a bit#but anyway this backstage is so cute my god#oh what i wouldn’t do to have omurice made by sakuya sakuma

ok im so new to hockey and ive been getting into leafs and theres just one thing i do not get at all 😭 which is.. is mitchy bad? ive seen people say that he is inconsistent (how long has he been inconsistent?) but ive also seen a LOT of dudebros hockey enthusiasts who say he’s bad and lazy and passes blame and want him to change lines or whatever so i dont really know???
mitch is.... very good actually
let's start with current leafs records: active leader in points, assists, shorthanded goals. franchise leader in empty net goals.
also worth noting Wikipedia updates these stats after every season versus every game; mitch now has upwards of 600 points, and is the second-fastest leaf to 600, ever (he held the record for fastest for about 2 weeks -- auston beat him just after)
he also has the leafs' longest point streak -- 23 games
this is the general leafs leaderboard:
someone appears on that list three times, and it isn't our chosen one am34! (again, this was just up until the end of last season)
Even beyond counting stats, he's still consistently one of the best Leafs around, because he plays defence, is one of the best passers in the league, and penalty-kills. Here's HockeyViz' breakdown of him:
Those two images aren't aligned super well, but we're looking at the sG column on the far right, which is HockeyViz's "overall merit" metric. Here are stars of similar value:
(Obviously, this one guy's metric is not the be-all end-all. But i find it a helpful guideline comparison to similar players -- essentially, Mitch is a one-tick-below superstar, in the tier below your Pastrnaks, M Tkachuks. (who are themselves the tier below Matthews/MacKinnon/Kucherov) "Bad" is a very funny word to use for these players. Bad comparable to McDavid, as if literally everyone else isn't.)
the People Hate Mitch thing is because of this entire personality construct they've developed around him -- he had really tough contract negotiations and signed for "more than he was worth" (aka a reasonable number given expectations of cap rising that did Not take into account a global pandemic coming into effect within a couple years), and the leafs' lack of playoff success (despite the fact that he is the Leafs' active playoff points leader). He's also not super well media trained and never seems to say the right words the right way, even if the obvious sentiment is there, and people who already want to hate on him just take it as further fodder for their complex.
Add that to the "concerns" about his relatively small frame that have been around forever and the ongoing Wendel Clark complex Toronto fans seem to have (ability and/or willingness to drop the gloves = grit = value) and you have a recipe for people that Hate Him For No Reason.
He is absolutely having an off year this year, and I don't know if he's got some nagging injury or whatever, but even in his off year he's one of the best Leafs.
I also think this is partly because of the underrating of Auston Matthews in comparison -- he's a generational goalscoring talent! He's a top three player in the league and he isn't number three! -- that Mitch is deemed "bad," because he's not quite as good as AM34 and we have determined that that means he's somehow Terrible. Sigh.
#asks#mitch marner#they hate to see a man full of joy and whimsy winning...#also INCONSISENT LMAO he is one of the Most consistent leafs actually KSJDFHKSJDFHSKJDFHKSDJFH#(im not poking fun at you im poking fun at that idea i promise)#anyway people are WEIRDLY invested in hating him and because of this they'll make shit up like 'Marner is bad'#or 'Mitch Marner has a shoot-first mentality'

Maybe, I sound a little nitpicky here, or some other word that I can't figure out right now to determine the current tone of my words but.
Looking through some of the fanfiction, in regards to Bi-Han, I think some baffled me in particular and it's not even that big of a deal or anything but it just scratches beneath my skin a little. Like, oh! Bi-Han cooking something for you! I can see that!-- what do you mean he's making you a complete English meal.
Unless it's something that the reader enjoys, and he's making it in favor to their taste preference, then that's sweet! But.... Where's my stuff..... Where's the chicken congee... Where is- where is all the traditional recipes he should know? I get that making eggs, bacon, and french toast are easy (sometimes) but-- there is other easy to make stuff. I'm not expecting Bi-Han to be headcanoned as some top tier chef but, him knowing some traditional home recipes should be natural thing to him, no? Maybe he learned from his mother, or some other. I think that'd be neat to think about, just simple basic home meals he's learned and makes for himself and rarely, but sometimes, for others. I think all in general, I just really want to see like some proper representation of Bi-Han, or just even Kuai Liang, maybe even Tomas adapting to some of his adoptive family's behaviors while he was raised, like some stuff like how some people can't properly apologize so in form of apology, people mainly serve a plate of fruit as an act of forgiveness rather than outright saying it, or just ANYTHING ELSE.
#This is coming from someone who's East Asian (Viet) and I don't know if this is much of a hot take but urgh#It'd be nice to see something familiar rather than something that's sort of (for a lack of better words) “white-washed”#I get that my culture as a Vietnamese person may differ from that of a Chinese but there's a lot of similar habits#behaviors-stuff that do occasionally overlap because of similar situations and stuff of how we were raised so#it'd be nice to see some of it#It's not a lot. Cake-pocalypse: Return of the Frosting-ing
Some of you may recall I've mentioned being busy with a cake-pocalypse. Well, here's the end result. I made both of these cakes, from scratch, for my parents' 50th anniversary party last weekend. Now that it's over, I thought it'd be fun to do a post about it, because while there's tons of popular baking shows, it's not a topic everyone necessarily knows about.
So, what goes into making cake for approximately 100 people?
Step 1) Baking the wedding cakes
A) The tiered cake was based on a photo of my parents' original wedding cake. To replicate it, I needed four tiers of vanilla cake, which meant eight layers of cake, two for each tier.
Fun fact: I learned how to bake from my mom, who is a talented home baker. I made my first cake by myself at age 9, and then gradually expanded my skills through years of practice. And when I say my mom is talented, I mean it; she's made wedding cakes for at least half a dozen friends and family over the years. It was only right that I use my mom's favorite wedding cake recipe for the batter; I think I ended up using 6 batches to make all the tiers, plus 2 dozen cupcakes to use up extra batter.
B) Once the cakes had cooled, I wrapped them in plastic wrap and put them in the freezer overnight. This firms up the cake's "crumb" or structure, making it easier to work with. By this point, it was late Sunday night; baking the cakes had taken almost all day. What with work and errands, I didn't resume work on the cakes until Thursday night. After partially thawing the cakes, I leveled each one by cutting off the tops where the cake had domed. This is a crucial step to make sure the cakes will stack properly; you don't want them tilting or toppling over.
C) Now that the cakes are leveled, they need their base coat of frosting. I used SO MUCH buttercream for these cakes CRY The trick is to frost them while they're still cold from the freezer, so the crumbs don't get into the frosting as much. Even so, every cake needed two coats of frosting, first the crumb coat, then, after a trip back to the freezer to set the frosting, a second coat to hide the crumbs stuck in the first coat. At this point, I was done (for now) with the wedding cakes, because I was NOT going to try to transport a completed four tier cake, which meant I couldn't stack/decorate them until the day of the party.
Step 2) Making the sheet cake
A) My entire day Saturday was spent baking, and it began with making the 12x18 chocolate sheetcake. It took three batches of cake batter; my favorite chocolate cake recipe is from Sally's Baking Addiction. I used the sour cream version, which is sturdier and thus would hopefully travel better.
B) Once the cake was baked, it took a loooong time to cool. You NEVER frost a warm cake, because the icing will melt and make a huge mess. Side note, this cream cheese frosting recipe is the best I've ever seen, and the coffee version I made by adding espresso powder turned out delicious.
C) After carefully chilling the cake in the fridge (it barely fit), I covered the entire cake with a chocolate glaze. The combination of chocolate cake + coffee cream cheese frosting + glaze comes from the Yule logs my mom makes every year, and which my dad and the rest of my family really love.
D) I draw a lot of practice grids and decoration ideas when I was first planning the cakes. I ended up deciding to do a pattern of frosting swirls with espresso beans, plus piping the message in the center. Since it is VERY hard to fix fuck ups, I practiced my calligraphy and my balloons on a piece of parchment paper before I put a piping bag anywhere near the cake. Once the buttercream had set, I painted it with a mixture of edible gold-colored pearl dust and vodka. Amazing stuff, a friend who has a home bakery recommended it. It was around 1am when the chocolate cake was done, and went back in the fridge to keep safe until the next day.
Step 3) Piping roses
While the chocolate cake was baking and cooling, it was time to work on decorations for the wedding cake. Buttercream roses are a pain in the ass, but since the original cake had them, this cake needed them too. Bless my niece, who served as my assistant for about 3 hours. My initial attempts at dyeing the frosting came out way too garish, but she tweaked them into the lovely shades of crimson and green you see here. She also held the flower nail so I could make my first 20 or so attempts at the roses using the Wilton technique. The buttercream was NOT cooperating at first; we had to add more powdered sugar to stiffen it, and then we had to keep putting the piping bags in and out of the fridge to get them to just the right consistency for piping. After my niece left, my bf held the flower nail for another 30+ roses. My hand and my arm were killing me by the end, but I was really worried about not having enough to cover the cake. Also, more practice meant better roses.
Step 4) Assembling the tiered cake
A) Sunday morning was D-Day. We got to the venue 3 hours early because I knew I'd need every minute to assemble and decorate the tiered cake. Each tier sits on a cardboard cake board, but that's not enough support. To counteract the inevitable peril of gravity, the center of each tier is filled with straws. These hold up the tiers above so they don't smush the cake below.
B) Once the tiers were stacked, I piped a swirl of vines, as close to the original cake as I could manage.
C) Then, very, very carefully, I stuck the buttercream roses on using a dab of fresh frosting. You have to work quickly; the buttercream roses are firm when you first take them out of the freezer or fridge, which means you can pick them up, but if you take too long, your fingers will melt the petals. I was terrified about placing roses on the vertical sides of the cake, but thank god, none of them fell off. Once the roses were in place, I added leaves to the vines and beneath the roses.
D) A close up of the final result. I finished literally 1 minute before the party was supposed to start, at which point I had to carry this from the venue's kitchen to the table where it would sit; my bf went in front of me to shoo people out of the way.
Step 5) Dealing with leftovers
a) Oh god, leftovers! The chocolate cake got demolished, as did the vanilla cake, once we sent some slices home, but there were still leftovers. Why? Because the way a tiered cake is served, you cut slices from the outside ring, but NOT from the center round which is stuffed full of straws. So... what to do with all that extra cake?
b) Well, if you pull the straws out and re-frost, then you've got three perfectly nice cakes. I already had plenty of extra frosting and roses, lol. My students were quite happy to take all this cake off my hands, though I only had enough slices for the first half of my classes.
c) However, I also still had SIX CUPS of cake crumbs from the offcuts which I'd cut off the cakes when I leveled them. Crumbs + frosting+ a dip in chocolate = cake pops! Massive, massive cake pops, lol, I used my biggest cookie scoop. The second half of my classes got these beauties, and a couple coworkers finished off the extras.
And that's it! God willing I won't make a cake again for quite a while, lol, this was exhausting.

Satoru’s Birthday Surprise! || Gojo Satoru x Reader
synopsis: in which you and your students surprise Satoru with a painting!
part 1: https://www.tumblr.com/daquila/717999046671925248/happy-birthday-toru-gojo-x-reader
Satoru is not the person that you really know.
He is independent, cocky, and loud around anyone— especially the higher-ups! But with you? He completely melts as he steps into your shared home.
But he’s also unpredictable.
The smell of freshly-cooked pasta lures him into the kitchen, only to be greeted by an eager Y/N that’s ready to knead some dough. You were attempting to bake a loaf of garlic bread since it would go well with your tomato-basil pasta. It was a recipe from the cookbook that Nanami gave you on your 25th birthday.
Normally, you wouldn’t really cook pasta so early in the morning; however, Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji are visiting later that afternoon. It was because of your husband’s birthday.
“ The kids are about to come inside— they’re just picking up some extra ice cream at the grocery store nearby, “ Satoru said as he hugs you from behind, pressing soft kisses on your shoulders and neck.
“ ‘Toru, please change out of those pajamas, “ you scolded, staring at his spider-man suit. The sorcerer proceeded to pout as he quickly took it off and replaced it with a button up shirt and pants.
“ Why! Did you want to gatekeep spidertoru! It’s MY birthday, “ he proceeded to complain as you scoffed and placed the dough in a pan.
The sorcerer heard giggles coming from the front door, assuming it were the three, he quickly ran to greet them.
Nobara and Yuji were carrying heaps of snacks, because they didn’t want Megumi holding anything. Apparently, they lost a silly bet while training with Inumaki and Panda. Megumi sure is receiving top-tier princess treatment!
“ Ah— ‘Toru, please hand them some drinks! I made some orange juice earlier, “ quickly shoving the dough in the oven, you started to clean the messy kitchen.
The students began greeting their teacher a happy birthday, and your husband delightfully greeted the treats into his mouth. They all gathered in the living room to play board games.
Megumi, who clearly just woke up from the car ride, helped you clean up. His head was still in the clouds, clinging onto that thread of sleepiness.
“ Shoo! Shoo! I don’t need your help, Megumi. Go have fun with your friends— I’ll be right here if you need me, “ breaking the silence, he just looks at you and nods. You just smile in reply— it’s his habit of staying silent when he’s still sleepy.
You proceeded to walk into the living room, carrying assortments of different types of pastas, croissants, and treats. The oven suddenly chimes as you settle the last tray of food.
“ Y/N’s bread tastes amazing while it’s still piping hot— my wife is such a chef, “ Satoru smirks, stuffing his mouth with a croissant.
“ Stop talking while eating, Gojo-sensei, “ Nobara scoffed, disgusted as she watched her teacher choke on his food. Megumi stands up and walks to your bedroom, finding the still-life that you and the students painted last time.
Satoru’s eyes melt into a softer expression once his student (and son) hands him the painting.
“ Is this for me? “ he says, hands clutching his chest.
Nobara then proudly boasts about her contribution to the painting as Yuji urges their teacher to open it.
But then something unexpected happens…
Your husband breaks out in an uncontrollable wail.
Chest heavy, nose running with yellow snot, he dramatically says, “ T-t-th-tha-thank….. y-yew…. “
He is the literal embodiment of a tall child.
You grab a box of tissues and wipe off the drama on his face. Nobara quickly takes out her phone and steals a picture of the sobbing sorcerer. I mean— who wouldn't! Megumi takes a mental note to remind himself to post that photo of Gojo crying.
For the next few hours, you and your students spend the time by absolutely destroying their teacher in a game of Monopoly. Satoru, however, would spend these next few hours thinking about how grateful he is to have you by his side.
didnt proof read bc i never do … this is probably my longest fic yet
i have had this in my drafts for so long… i just decided to post this now bc ive got two requests for the part 2 already hehehehe

It's game over for 2023. Time to talk about the best games I played during the year. I finished many enjoyable titles on various platforms, crossing genres and time to visit even decades old games. I finished a total of 38 games this past year. And because I apparently didn't have enough choice for devices to play all these games on, we got an Xbox Series X to our household on Christmas week.
Anyhow, here are the winners of my personal Game of the Year 2023 awards. *drumroll*
1st place: Vampire Survivors (PC)
My addictive substance of choice. Doesn't shine in the graphics department with modern tech. Doesn't try to impress with thought-provoking narrative. The incredibly simple yet satisfying gameplay however is engineered to perfection. A true masterclass of game design.
+ Infectiously fun, action-filled reverse bullet hell roguelike gameplay. Just one more run! + Bold artistic identity. + Humorous touch in character/enemy design and fun nods to other videogames. + Superb soundtrack. + Tons of quality content for an incredibly cheap price. Free updates and paid DLC with even more content. - The flashing effects can go a little overboard and cause discomfort. - Later stages of game can lag even decently powerful hardware.
See my posts about Vampire Survivors
2nd place: Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Wii U Virtual Console, originally on Game Boy Advance)
A classic Castlevania that holds up nicely even 20 years from release and on a big screen. With a bit more memorable music and a small quality of life improvement, Aria of Sorrow would have earned the coveted 5/5 stars in my book.
+ Balanced and fun gameplay with a good sense of progression. + Top tier level design with a concise map. + Nice art style in environments, sprites and character portraits. Great animation and enemy design. + Fitting music and audio. + Good story. - Lacks item to warp to last save room or outside castle.
See my posts about Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
3rd place: Touhou Mystia's Izakaya (PC)
Chill vibes managing your restaurant, gathering ingredients and talking to characters by day turn into frantic cooking and serving action by night. This game got its recipe right.
+ Fun, rewarding gameplay loop mixing leisurely action and challenges testing your attention. + Enjoyable story with funny events. + Wonderfully cute pixel art. + Catchy music. + Lots of content for a low price. - Starts slow, even a bit boring in the beginning before you get special customers and unlock more recipes. - Final battle had annoying RNG. - English translation could use a little polish.
See my posts about Touhou Mystia's Izakaya
Honorable mention: Crimson Shroud (Nintendo 3DS)
This surprisingly challenging table-top RPG inspired game impressed me with its quality and satisfying gameplay. This is a hidden gem worth visiting.
+ Challenging gameplay with long and brutal battles make for a rewarding experience. + Good, well-written story with two endings. + Cool art direction with 3D models mimicking table-top RPG figurines, pretty illustrations. + Great music. + Game's length is just right to keep player invested. - Overall difficulty is higher than usual for JRPGs and Game Over wasn't a rare occurrence on my playthroughs. Slight frustration ensued due to having to retry the long battle from the beginning. - Confusing equipment UI (comparison of current vs new gear).
See my posts about Crimson Shroud
Honorable mention: Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (Nintendo DS, played on 3DS)
Unique experience with tricky chain reaction puzzles and fantastic characters. Prominently fluid and amazing animations - I can't believe it's a Nintendo DS game! This is no trick - it's a treat.
+ Inventive gameplay and mechanics, perfect fit for touch screen. + Interesting story that definitely doesn't forget humor despite the grim subject. + Memorable characters (Cabanela and Missile were my favorites). + Awesome art style and marvelous animation quality. + Great music throughout the game. - I almost lost interest at some point and got impatient to finish the game. - I guessed one of the key plot twists but luckily that didn't put a dent on the ending.
See my posts about Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective
Honorable mention: Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360, played on Xbox Series X)
Entertaining cover shooter with varying missions. The game never had a boring moment and the length of the single player campaign was just right. I'm looking forward to playing Gears of War 3 next!
+ Fun gameplay that sets expectations for other shooters. + Interesting setting and story with some cool events. + Fun dialogue that made me chuckle many times. + Good music and great English voice acting. + The challenge on Normal difficulty was just right for me. - AI controlled companions got stuck occasionally, leaving you alone in dangerous enemy territory. - I didn't always understand the mission objectives in the hectic situations. - Cutscenes can't be skipped (thankfully this is not a Kojima game).
Honorable mention: Signalis (PC)
Atmospheric sci-fi survival horror paying homage to older games. Puzzles are different from usual and require attentive skill and logical thinking to solve. This game deserves a sequel.
+ Intriquing sci-fi story with an impactful ending (there are multiple endings too). + Great art direction, appealing PS1 era inspired retro graphics with skillfully crafted pixel art. I very much enjoyed the nod to Ghost in the Shell. + Unique, well-designed puzzles and good level design. + Great atmosphere. - A bit clunky combat. - Tiny inventory space forced me to backtrack more than I would have liked. - Annoying design choice to not include a map in a couple of areas.
See my posts about Signalis
Nominees for my personal Game of the Year 2023
Only games I have finished in 2023 have been included (looks like I played a lot of games starting with the letter T).
An Arcade Full of Cats (PC) Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney (3DS) Assassin's Creed: Revelations (PS3) Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea DX (Switch) Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Wii U Virtual Console - GBA) Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (3DS) Crimson Shroud (3DS) Detective Pikachu Returns (Switch) Dordogne (PC) Fitness Boxing (Switch) Gears of War 2 (Xbox Series X - Xbox 360) Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (3DS) Immortality (PC) Kuru Kuru Kururin (Wii U Virtual Console - GBA) Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk (PC) Liberation Maiden (3DS) Need for Speed: Most Wanted U (Wii U) Piofiore: Fated Memories (Switch) Pokémon Art Academy (3DS) Pokémon Rumble World (3DS) Scorn (PC) Shadows Over Loathing (PC) Signalis (PC) Sticky Business (PC) Super Mario Bros. SNEAK PEEK
Chapter 30 -- The One With I Do
Hannah brought out dozens of different cakes for them to try, asking questions about colours and plans and wanting to know what they were looking for in a wedding cake.
“Chocolate,” Ginny said. “I definitely want chocolate.”
“Harry?” Hannah asked.
Harry smiled and gestured towards his fiancée. “What Ginny says. I won’t say no to chocolate.”
But wow were there a lot of different variations of chocolate.
Hannah made them creamy chocolate cake, red velvet, chocolate cookie dough, white chocolate, dark chocolate, strawberry chocolate, brownie, cherry chocolate, raspberry chocolate, chocolate cheesecake, and more. The more different bites they took, the more Ginny was moaning in happiness.
“I might just have to move here,” Ginny said. “Merlin, Hannah! These are all so incredible! How are we supposed to choose?”
Harry watched her take another bite of chocolate mousse and the sound she made was very similar to the ones she made when his tongue was deep inside of her. He leaned in to kiss her cheek.
“Shall I leave you alone with your cake?”
Ginny licked her lips. “Chocolate is a girl’s best friend, Harry.”
Neville chuckled. “Hannah’s been excited with her planning. Mrs Weasley has been going on about the wedding plans and how the colour schemes are working. The two of us have been trying to work together in planning the flowers and your cake.”
“I have the cake mostly narrowed down,” Hannah said. “But I need to know what the recipe will be inside.”
Ginny groaned again as she took another bite. “Fuck… just lots of chocolate.”
Hannah smiled and then held up a finger. “Wait! I have the perfect recipe for you!”
Harry and Ginny exchanged a look before Hannah came out with four more bite size pieces of cake on a plate.
“Try this one,” Hannah said, passing Harry and Ginny each a bite of a layered cake.
The moment it touched his lips, Harry knew that it was the choice. The sound Ginny made on top of the look of pleasure in her eyes, told him that even if he disagreed, he would do anything to make her look that happy.
“Oh. My. Goddess,” Ginny gasped, licking the spoon. “What is that heaven?”
“It’s called Black Tie Mousse Cake,” Hannah said with a smile. “It’s four layers: Chocolate cake, chocolate cheesecake, white chocolate mousse, and creamy chocolate ganache.”
“That,” Ginny said. “Yup, that one right there. What do you think, Harry?”
Harry leaned in to kiss her. “Anything to make you make that sound again.”
She blushed and turned back to Hannah. “Don’t make me beg.”
Hannah chuckled and gave Ginny the rest of the slice of cake. “Oh! I’m so glad you love it! Now that we have the recipe, we just need to work on the cake design. Molly says that your colours are red, white, and gold?”
Ginny nodded, happily scooping up more cake. “Yes. We’re matching it to my engagement ring.”
“Wonderful and Neville says that the bouquet you picked is red calla lilies and white roses?”
“Neville has an eye for those things,” Ginny said. “I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful bouquet.”
Hannah smiled. “That he does. All right, so this is what I’m thinking and of course I can change it if you don’t like it. But, I’m thinking four tiers, all in white. Maybe some gold decorations on the side and then I’ll do a crown across the top of bright red calla lilies with gold baby’s breath mixed in. It will rain down the cake like a trellis vine.”
Harry frowned. “Wait… flowers on top of the cake?”
“Edible flowers,” Hannah said with a chuckle. “Every flower will be hand-painted. White cream cheese frosting will cover the Black Tie cake. What do you think?”
Harry wrinkled his nose. “How big is four tiers exactly?”
Hannah gestured with her hand to her waist. “About yay high from the ground is what I’m thinking?”
Harry nodded. “Will that be big enough? I mean, according to Zee and Molly, I think we’re having an army at our wedding plus Ron so…”
Ginny laughed. “Ron’s his own army when it comes to food, but don’t worry Harry. Hannah already offered to make fairy cakes,” Ginny said as she licked chocolate off of her lips. “The cake will be for us to cut and share pieces of and then Hannah will make fairy cakes for all of the other guests.”
“Yes,” Hannah said. “I’ve already drawn up some examples but I’m thinking red and white roses, some calla lilies, all for the tops. We can do the fairy cakes as Black Tie Mousse cake as well if you like.”
“Absolutely,” Ginny said. “All chocolate.”
Harry grinned and kissed his fiancée’s hand. “Sounds perfect.”

13 - Butte
Word Count: 330
((No card today since I had an idea for this prompt. This screenie is from the FC room of the lovely Lavender, both the room and Lavender belonging to the wonderful @abeat.))
The nicknames Lavender Helltear and Joey Madison gave each other—Chef and Sous-Chef respectively—didn’t come out of nowhere. Both specialized in Culinarian endeavours; however, while Joey specialized in prepping ingredients and only deviated from a recipe once he understood the assignment, Lavender only ever took the briefest of glances at recipes before putting her own spin on them. Lavender’s culinary creativity knew no bounds—she was to recipes as what Joey was to magic combat.
What both Culinarian experts specialized in also differed. Whereas Joey specialized in savoury dishes, Lavender specialized in baking. As such, when Fortunes & Fancies became tasked with making a three tier wedding cake, Lavender was called in to aid the I-burn-chocolate-chip-cookies-by-following-the-recipe Joey. Joey followed each and every one of Lavender’s instructions to the letter, focusing on preparing ingredients for Lavender to expertly blend.
Once the three cakes came out of the oven and sufficiently cooled, Lavender went into her cupboard. “The next step is to stack the cakes. For that we—”
The sight lovely Lavender saw nearly made her drop her utensils.
Joey had already stacked the cakes. In fact, Lavender caught him gingerly turning the top cake around so the uneven layer underneath didn’t make the top layer too-too uneven. Although each cake looked like a masterclass in what not to do, as the diagonal cake levels balanced out like a tightrope walker with their pole too far out on one side.
“S-Sous-Chef, the cakes are supposed to be trimmed and levelled first,” Lavender said gently.
Joey yelped and jumped. “A-ah, sorry! I’m sorry, I don’t know what got into me. I mean, I was following your instructions to the letter so far.”
Lavender shook her head, though smiled. “It’s all right. I was just as eager when I made my first cake. Here, we’ll use this cake leveller to even out the top.”
Joey gingerly placed the cakes back on their respective plates. “Right. Otherwise, this would be more like a butte cake.”

Kim Possible Episode Tiers: The A-Tier
Since most of the episodes in the show are quality, the A-Tier is best defined as episodes that have a thing that makes them stand out. In addition to being quality, there's a reason to remember them.
This is also the largest tier, so strap in.
Coach Possible: The Kim coaching B-Story runs a little flat, but Jr. putting together a nonsensical plan that results in hypnotized Kim and Ron dancing in cages in a nightclub is what I live for. There's an underrated ending fight as well that culminates Kim fighting a Chuck E. Cheese robot, to catchy dance music, while Ron launches an evil disco ball to its destruction.
Bueno Nacho: Another iffy B-Story about petty work squabbles, but it's one of the precious early-series moments where we get to see Drakken and Shego at the top of their game. This was actually back when Drakken was still menacing, despite kicking off the tiny oversight that ruins his plan trend. Also, the lean.
Tick Tick Tick: The first episode in the production order. It does feel weird because they hadn't settled on the animation or the characters yet. That said, there is some amazing hero-villain banter in this one that they nailed right out of the gate.
Steal Wheels: The reveal that Motor Ed and Drakken are related pays off big time and it's sort of a shame that more team-ups between the two didn't happen. There are a couple of good things about the B-Plot here as well: (1) We sort of get a glimpse into how close Kim and Ron are, because she doesn't know what to do with herself when he's not there. (2) Always good to see Felix and have a character voiced by Jason Marsden.
Bad Boy: I honestly considered moving this lower, but I decided against it because the Attitudinator is too good of a concept to ignore. This episode drags a little bit because it gets bogged down in the exposition -- They felt the need to go through the whole process of Drakken not feeling evil enough, them going to the convention, explaining why Kim and Ron went to the convention, Ron being a bully for a bit . . . like get to the Evil Ron stuff already!
It's only a minor complaint though, this is still the A-Tier.
Mad Dogs and Aliens: Terrible B-Plot in this one because I never understood why Ron wasn't touched by Jim and Tim taking on the mantle and him immediately jumping in to show them how it's done (it's also kind of forgettable, it took some brain racking to remember it). The A-Plot is gold though. Bitter Drakken and apathetic turned jealous Shego reconciling the consequences of multiple episodes of Season Three wasn't really something I thought the show was capable of.
The New Ron: I've written it before, but the Seniors are brilliant villains. Combine a criticism of obscene wealth + Ron giving them the idea + the motivation for world domination being boredom . . . it's just a glorious recipe for a unique, comedic delight. I also relate to Ron's cowlick problems.
Monkey Fist Strikes: It's another villain introduction for a very good villain. I think what really puts this one up there for me is another top fight scene. Another good music selection (that I'm not sure really how to describe other than giving off a Sherlock Holmes vibe). It results in Ron coming through, by himself, and leaving Fist cinematically strewn across the Tai Sheng Pek Kwa insignia and surrounded by four broken idols.
Odds Man In: What a surprise, another sort of weak high school B-plot. The interesting aspects here are Drakken getting caught up in the sort of corporate villainy he had previously expressed distaste for (see Rappin' Drakken). Also, Wade goes on a mission with Kim!
Mind Games: I love the body swap concept, but fiction always sort of does it the same way. Freaky Friday, Gravity Falls, this episode . . . it's all sort of the "I didn't understand how hard you had it" thing. What makes this episode A-tier is Drakken and Shego's interactions over the body swaps and the Neutronalizer are some of the funniest bits in the series.
Low Budget: I love Frugal Lucre. I love that he is voiced by Richard Kind and I love the idea of trying to hold the world hostage without spending any money.
Crush: I made a whole post about how this is a really good Ron episode. It also might be the exception to this tier where it's just really high quality all the way through, but without anything particularly high concept about it. That's probably why it aired first.
Car Trouble: All of Shego and Drakken's interaction with Dr. Freeman are fantastic. It's too bad he wasn't a recurring scientist like Bortle. It's also a better B-plot than most because Sadie was a perfectly likeable vehicle.
Go Team Go: One of the brief glimpses we actually get of Shego's past. I'm not sure if I'm 100% sold on her brothers or not, but undoubtedly this is one of the more interesting episodes. Plus, evil family.
A Very Possible Christmas: I've taken to watching this on Christmas. A lot of gushy holiday feelings between the two lead pairs. The ending is a little weird though.
Dimension Twist: There is an element of cringe here -- It's weird to put Shego in a very milquetoast Friends parody. There's a lot of good as well (trap trap, Drakken's book) and honestly, I just want to see what else the Pandimensional Vortex Inducer can do.
The Ron Factor: I wrote a whole post about this one too. It's a very interesting subversion of the metanarrative within the show and the only reason it isn't S-tier is that Global Justice annoys me a bit. Could definitely have used more Gemini in later episodes though.
Sick Day: This is the best of the sub-15 minute episodes and the whole point of them is to go for quick laughs and nothing else. I would say it achieved it here with both sides having to quickly adjust to illness and the introduction of Hank Perkins.
Hidden Talent: "Say the Word" is a certified banger. I also like to see Drakken taking initiative to try and be a step ahead of the heroes. Don't forget, the only reason he loses here is because he tries the most complicated way of finishing off Kim ever.
Overdue: The second best of the 15-minute episodes. Once again, we're only here for jokes so we're going to see what happens when Ron tries to rush through defeating a bunch of different villains. It's enjoyable.
Oh No, Yono!: It's the end of Monkey Fist. It's a satisfying coming-of-age conclusion for Ron and a heartwrenching moment when Kim gets turned to stone. It's only not S-tier because Yono's presence detracts from Ron's real archenemy.
Exchange: For as good as this episode is, it's also very much a setup for what the series planned to do with Ron in the future. We've seen him succeed on his own at this point, but Exchange is interesting in that it creates a part of his life that Kim just can't be associated with.
The Twin Factor: The first of like a hundred mind control plots. It's fun to see brainwashed Shego and Kim and it was important for the series to actually develop Jim and Tim a bit, lest they be pigeonholed into one-joke obstacles for Kim to overcome.

I CAN CONFIRM THAT BLACKBERRY JAM IS A GOD-TIER FILLING. THE DONUTS ARE SO GOOD :DD I made mini ones this morning and the household promptly demolished half of them 😭
:oo i am 👀👀ing at your recommendations and noting them down ty. If i ever spot the cheesecake or petits fours when im out i will be sure to try them :D
Im so excited for the Hotguy comics zine!! The Scarland artbook was the first project similar to that that I followed & downloaded and it was SO incredible to see sm artists come together like that and create something so special :))) Can't wait to see more of them like the hotguy zine in the future!!
I am so 👀 at the s6 oneshot. VERY interested to see what that dynamic is like, and I have huge faith in you using every emotion from the oneshot against us in the main fic and vice versa
The flight went... idk we landed safely so i guess i cant complain LMAO. Did not manage to sleep and we arrived in the early morning, except it's summer here and my body refuses to sleep when the sun's out so instead of getting to catch up on sleep after getting home I just curled up in my bed and spent the next 5-ish hours phasing in and out of existence 😭
Ive only seen snow once so an ice storm sounds. Terrifying?? Im glad your power stayed for the most part, i would not want to go through that without heating
SEASON 10 HYPE!!!
-☀️
LETS GOOOOOOO GLAD THE BLACKBERRY DONUTS WERE A SUCCESS!!!!! :D ironically im answering this ask while eating blackberry yogurt so the trend continues SKDNAKCNSKDKSK
YEYE absolutely!!! And both can be made at home with the jam depending on what ingredients you have :] ive seen decent recipes for both before, altho i dont have any immediately on hand.
Im so so happy everyone seems super hyped for the HOTGUY COMICS Zine!!!! Ive been working hard to keep it running smoothly and my fellow mods have been doing some absolutely INSANE work, especially on the various graphics. Somehow our team ended up with three graphic designers in three different directions and then me as the one writer/editor SKDBSKNDKSD so we've got a ton of our bases just automatically covered. Its been a lot of fun to mod so far and i cant wait to see who else applies!!!!
OOF sounds like the plane ride home wasnt quite so pleasant as the first one there 😭😭😭 glad it went safely though!!! Oughhh and that sounds so brutal with the summer, too-- VERY different from ice storms 😂😂😂😂 we were fine luckily, heating and everything stayed perfectly intact the entire time, and the temp has started rising again so the ice is melting, which is great bc i need to order groceries LMFAOOOOO
I still think its funny how quickly i adapted to the weather up here-- being born and raised in the south you'd think i'd get super cold really easily, like my partner who's from cali, but nope, im still out here in tank tops and shorts right up until the ice starts to form. perks of being a little furnace i guess FJSHDJSNDJSJD
As for the s6 snippet 👀👀👀 well im sitting down to finish it right neow, so wish me luck!!! :D
#shouting speaks#asks#S10 HYPE FR FR IM SO READY FOR MY BLORBOS TO COME BACK#pixlriffs uploaded a video finally and the enthusiastic noise i made upon seeing it in my subscriptions was SO ENERGETIC#WE WIN THESEE#txt

ASSIGNMENT: Charity Reunion \ Part II
PREV | NEXT
===================
"THIS is what you call me in for?"
"That's right! It was the height of emergencies!"
Generosity's cheerful response just makes Temperance pinch the bridge of his snout, grumbling. "Being short on cooks for your charity function is NOT an emergency!"
He stands aside with the black sheep in the kitchen of the building Shepherd's Flock rented out, just watching as a couple humans, a handful of Charity's sheep-like cherubs, and a single other Virtue rush about and shout at eachother to cook up meals.
"Okay, fine, maybe not but...Just look at them! Like chickens with their heads sliced off." She shrugs, resting her hands on her hips. "But you're able to follow a recipe to the letter AND not panic!
"...You're also, admittedly, top-notch security detail to have on site."
Temperance huffs, "So i'm here to play chef and head of security?"
"Yes!" Genni responds, shooting a glare at a couple of her men as they pass. "After the last incident, i'm a little doubtful if some people can actually handle keeping things under control! And they're doing a bad job now!"
One them just sticks their tongue out. The other is brave enough to flip Temp the bird. The canine shooting his own look makes them wince back.
"If you need incentive, the certain Tier 1 I mentioned will be arriving too!" That gets Temp's interest, looking to Genni as she says that. "Actually, you're subbing in for them in here until they get here..."
Well that tells half the story. Must be another Virtue, one of his siblings. While it's not who he really needs to look for, he can't dismiss valuable information. There's a couple of his siblings he's sure would be a massive pain in the ass if they knew he's here...
"...It isn't just Charity is it?" That would be a simple enough trick for Generosity to pull.
"Oh, I wish! No, my darling Charri is still tied up with other business." The look on her face tells him she's being truthful. "You'll find out when you find out! Just..."
"Get my hands dirty already?"
"Pretty much!"
"...Hmph...Fine." Relenting, Temperance grabs an apron and pulls water from a nearby sink to wash his hands. He motions briefly to Charity's cherubs. "Will they listen?"
"Don't worry. They act all tough and stubborn but if you shout at them, they fall in line like sheep!" There's a few seconds pause before realization crosses Genni's face. "Huh...I just realized how ironic it is for me to say that."
Temperance just rolls his eyes to ignore her sudden bout of self-reflection, stepping into the chaos in front of him to take control of the situation...

exclusive writing/blurbs - at least one a month, maybe more, work that will be patreon exclusive. sneak peeks of new writing - early access to things rattling around in my brain. request access - if you request something through patreon, you will automatically be added to the top of the list and be top priority. voting power - you get to choose what comes out on tumblr before anyone else! extra fun things - just random things like monthly book recs/reading wrap-ups or recipes (?). i really have no idea, but fun things!
if this sounds interesting to you, JOIN RIGHT HERE!
