hihi i hope you’re doing well <3 i definitely agree with your statement about fiction being a way to explore darker tropes without getting harmed !! no one should be shamed for liking a trope or be called derogatory terms for it at all it’s equally fucked up for both sides, i was just talking about some fans’ lack of nuanced understanding and sympathy for some people who went into this having no idea they would get triggered and got the worst kind of threats for expressing their discomfort

TOP 8: PAPERHEART 💗🛫

Canonically speaking, this ship is...currently pretty toxic??? 😅 Still, I couldn't help but fall for it at episode 6 of Villainous first season, and so, any content that I make of this ship comes from an alternate line of time and interpretation of the characters. I usually don't analyze what *type* of relationship or trope I'm actually shipping in the different pairs I like, but if I have to say...this feels like a nerd x popular dynamic (where the popular was a *nerd* too in the past, of course 🤣). A smart yet blushy mess around a confident yet actually insecure diva...sounds like a really funny and interesting dynamic that I'm certainly tryin to explore more. Also, Miss heed theme is ALL about love so she is perfect for a Valentines Day Special...literally 😂😂😂

Top 8 boxers in #daily wood stage two W-bracket

#1 Anton (100%, 14 votes)

Anton's cocky in every sense of the word, with the power to back up his taunts, and then some. In his own words, he gets off on knocking men unconscious, as his opponents can both confirm. He beat the absolute crap out of Felix before knocking him out, and pummeled Tuomas like a punching bag even after he was knocked out cold.

#2 Isko (88,8%, 16 votes)

The power puncher of the tournament, Isko's bouts now have twice as many paramedics on standby. His glancing blows send spit and sweat flying, and solid hits send men either clear across the ring like Samuel or through the ropes and out of the ring altogether like Ukko. Suffice to say when he sends you down, you aren't getting back up, and he's only ever lost one fight: knocked out by Robert during his mma debut.

#3 Jens (86,4%, 15 votes)

A bit of a wildcard, Jens seems to not to be content with just his domination of lesser men. After crushing the former champion, he almost seemed bored as he smacked Sauli and Elmo around. From his smile while watching the other top boxers when they step into the ring though, he seems to relish their brutality, biding his time until he can fight them himself to finally find out if any of them can take him.

#4 Valdemar (86,3%, 21 votes)

Another fighter who keeps the paramedics busy, Valdemar's brutal punches are powered as much by his rage as by his massive muscles. Not a single one of his past opponents hasn't had to be carried out on a stetcher, and Kauno and Simon were no exception. Even weakness seems to piss him off; not very good solace for his future opponents.

The strength of Jan's unbridled aggression is only surpassed by his iron jaw. He doesn't seem to care whether his opponents hit him or not, all he's interested in is pounding them into submission. Based on how his bout with Aaron ended, he clearly also gets off on knocking men out cold, but Natanael barely lasted half as long. He's probably looking forward to facing Anton given their similar interests...

Miika's another heavy hitter, though it's hard to compare closely with either Isko or Valdemar when all three send their opponents to sleep so quickly with their powerful punches. They'll probably be facing off soon enough, but unlike his previous two opponents, Verner and Ralf, next he's going to have to go through the former champion Ville...

Henri's a man with a grudge, and unfortunately for his opponents, he's the type to take out his frustration by crushing anyone who gets in his way, as he savagely demonstrated with Mike and Touko. He's well on his way to a third rematch with his rival Ville, after the man knocked him unconscious both of the last two times they fought.

Leo's aggression matches his rival Jan's. Fitting, given their history. Leo's actually got a little of everything going for him: Jens's drive to find a worthy opponent, a grudge to rival Henri's, power to rival Isko's, and a raging hardon for brutal knockouts like Anton... and Jan himself. After how he destroyed Johannes and Oliver, Jan had better get ready.

welcome to the first edition of meg’s top 8. i do not envision this series to always end up being a playlist, but i guess that’s what my first top 8 post will be. anyways. after the 2024 presidential election, i had a few songs get stuck in my head, and i’ve decided to share them. so here are my top 8 songs to ruminate to post-election, with some unnecessary commentary from the author.

counting bodies like sheep to the rhythm of the war drums | a perfect circle a truly extra re-imagining of "pet." the music video is a little ... dramatic? obvious? but ok. i think the song is better on its own, without the video.

state of the union | rise against well, perhaps cliché, but there it is

american jesus | bad religion there are many other great bad religion songs that should go on this list. but this is my blagh and i make the rules and somehow this has been so stuck in my head.

fuck authority | pennywise same as for #3 (also #2)

nazi punks fuck off | dead kennedys ditto

you hear yes | destroy boys, mannequin pussy, scowl three great bands coming together to make one great song

the decline | nofx sometimes i think i could get through running a marathon because when you think about it the time it would take to run a marathon is the equivalent of listening to this song two times in a row (this is a joke)
