In the Too Soon Adrien AU, what happens with Nooroo? Does he just stay in the broach, gathering dust after Gabriel passes without a plan?
Once Gabriel dies, Nooroo is free. We’ve seen in Reflekdoll that a Miraculous does not have to be in the possession of a human for the Kwami to manifest; we’ve even seen that the Kwami can carry their own Miraculi. So there’s two possibilities:
One. Gabriel dies, alone in a hospital bed with nobody but the nurses and orderlies. He still has the brooch with him—he won’t let it out of his sight—but he doesn’t wear it anymore, because it doesn’t attach to a hospital gown. On the day Gabriel dies, Nooroo waits for some privacy, so nobody’s looking—then he manifests out of the brooch, picks it up, and starts carrying it through the sky over Paris. See... Nooroo can’t be caught on camera... but the brooch can. Word will get to Ladybug eventually, and then she’ll come find him and take him home.
Two. The nurses have to take the brooch from Gariel, and as soon as someone else touches it, Nooroo appears. “Hello!” he says. “Take me to Ladybug please.”
Now the doctors have to deal with the fact that the person they’re taking care of is very definitely Hawkmoth. They’re not sure what to do, so they call his son.
It’s the first time Adrien has seen his father in decades, and the meeting does not go well. The hospital holds onto the brooch for the police, but—
Well, it’s gone by morning. Everyone’s fairly certain they heard a faint whinnying.

Other than Lila with her kids, are any of the other parents in your AU struggling with a strained relationship with their kids?? What are the parenting styles of the original gen and how do their kids feel about them?
Okay, this is actually the best question I’ve ever received about the next-gen. Don’t get me wrong; I’ve gotten so many great questions on it and enjoy answering and seeing them all, but this is actually super good for the lore, backstory, character development and personalities.
Although I might reblog this later with another part (or a few); as for now, I’m only doing Adrienette, DJWifi and Lukagami.
Let’s start with Marinette and Adrien. We know they’re both had different upbringings, as she grew up in a very loving and supportive household with great parents, while Adrien had his mother and... Him(TM). After they defeated Hawk Moth and it was revealed he was Adrien’s father, he was very depressed for almost two years afterwards, and didn’t open up to anyone until around after seven months, and it was actually to Alya.
Soon enough, everyone else within their ‘main’ circle found out, but not until after Marinette was secretly taking him to therapy. He was afraid they’d judge him for his mental heath issues due to Him(TM)telling him boys aren’t allowed to feel sad/be depressed/not be okay (aka another reason for us all to hate Him(TM)lol). The other guys paid visits to their house more often and went to see him and overall were like brothers to him, considering they saw it as a way to pay him back for doing so many good things for them and to help him through his hard times. This was after they’d returned from living in New York so Marinette could begin her fashion career, which was for two years (ages 23-25). Chloe kinda picked up on it based off of Adrien’s behavior, considering both they’ve known each other for a long time and she’s dealt with it in her lifetime too. Adrien was also teaching at him and Kagami’s fencing academy before he revealed his struggle, so he used his occupation to try and mask it considering he loves fencing so much.
Long story short, he finally became fully okay when he was around 27, and was completely happy and content with his life and everything in general, and even more so, as it was just around the time he and Marinette found out they were going to have Maddie. Tho, he did have to work more often as a fencing teacher considering Kagami was out on leave as she had Jade around the same time. (But she came back three months after giving birth and wore her in a carrier strapped to her chest while teaching, lol.)
But to be safe, he went to therapy once more in the timespan of Marinette’s pregnancy just to be fully positive - as he didn’t want to end up like Him(TM). Lol.
When Maddie was around six months, he started taking her out as Chat Noir and would sing the ‘little kitty on a roof’ song from Chat Blanc and Felix to her on the rooftops or sitting at her grandmother Emilie’s statue. And of course, the song ends with the little kitty being found and having his own family. (I love sappy protective Dadrien so much!)
Marinette is more of the kick-ass mom who’s kind AF but would snap a bone if anyone threatens/hurts her children, and she’s a great babysitter too. (Might be from her experience as Jade and Kara’s shared godmother, haha.)
Long story short, both Marinette and Adrien are capable, protective and great parents in general and their kids all love them. Also, Adrien is so sickeningly lovey-dovey with her around their kids so he can show them examples of how to treat your partner right. Lol. Certified Good Father(TM). Gabriel could never.
Onto Alya and Nino.
Alya is, out of the main Team Miraculous ladies, the most experienced and naturally-accustomed of them all to be a mother.
We’ve seen her helping Nino with Chris in season three (such as Chrismaster and Stormy Weather 2), along with helping Marinette with Manon in the original Stormy Weather and Prime Queen, and of course, her two little sisters. So, I feel she’s the most calm, levelheaded, and of course experienced in the field.
The same thing applies to Nino, as he’s an older brother to Chris and Alya’s sisters (including Nora) see him as pretty much a part of the family, like in Stormy Weather and Miracle Queen.
So, Alya and Nino already do have experience with kids, but that absolutely does not mean they’re perfect at being parents. But they were gloating and prideful for the right reasons when they realized Kara was pretty much both of them, as she’s hyper-productive like Alya: She’s a theater singer, TV actress, comedienne, harpist, flutist, and writer/amateur author. As for her traits shared with Nino, she makes up lots of weird words and sayings. Heck, one time, she walked into Marinette and Adrien’s Christmas gala in a multicolored glittery outfit and said ‘bonjour, y’all’. Maddie and Lilli were super embarrassed lmao.
Finally, for Kagami and Luka.
Kagami doesn’t have a healthy relationship with her mother as she grows older - when it was revealed Tomoe was a bit of an enabler to Gabriel, she felt really betrayed and unsafe in her own home, so she escaped from her home by getting emancipated with the help of Chloe, Sabrina and Roger. Not to mention, one of the reasons she and Adrien broke up was because their parents kept putting pressure on the other, so while she and Adrien would have been a healthy relationship, their parents could have held a candle to the danger of making it unhealthy with their controlling behavior and pushiness towards their future child-in-law and actual kids.
She lived with Luka ever since then (they got together shortly after she was emancipated), and she considers his family hers and vice versa. Especially Juleka, considering she was actually one of the first members of the Girl Squad to befriend her after Marinette introduced her to the others (they were friends even before Kagami began a relationship with Luka, lol). The same applies for Rose.
Moving on - with her anxiety and trauma with her own mother, she went to therapy before having children so that when she’d actually have her own, she wouldn’t be her own mother towards them.
And it worked out perfectly.
She definitely did become more sensitive and softer when she became a mother, as she’s afraid of saying the wrong thing one day or being flat-out cold, cruel and mean to her daughter(s).
Luka, however, is an entirely different scenario.
While he didn’t have a father in his life and his mother is kind of... wacky, per se, he had to mature for both himself and his sister, so he’s pretty good with children for that reason.
She’s more of the disciplinary role while he’s the chiller, selfless one (not to say she isn’t), and while they have many of the same strengths, they each play different roles as parents and are generally amazing at what they do.
Thanks so much for the ask! I’m sorry this took a while to answer, but I hope you enjoyed what I had to respond with!

I love your too soon Dadrien AU! When was Hawkmoth’s defeat in this?
It wasn’t.
Hawkmoth is still active—Team Miraculous haven’t caught him yet. His attacks have become more sporadic, though. After six years of dealing with Akuma attacks, Parisian culture has fundamentally shifted to something kinder, more forgiving. Akuma butterflies show up on camera and there’s an entire citizen task force dedicated to sending butterfly locations to the police, meaning more butterflies are a risk that Hawkmoth can’t take. (Ladybug and Chat Noir were offered police academy correspondence courses and are now fully deputized.) But, most importantly: Gabriel doesn’t have as much free time to escape and start sending out Akuma...
Because his company is failing.
Adrien jumping ship was a huge PR blow. Adrien resurfacing a month later to sway all his father’s contacts towards his fiancée was even worse, and Gabriel was too arrogant to realize that his son was stealing his talent and his clientele out from under him. Gabriel is growing increasingly desperate to “put his family back together,” ignorant of the fact that he’s the one who destroyed it, and his investors can tell he’s getting a little unhinged. Nathalie left shortly after Adrien did, and without any support structure, it’s become apparent that there’s something not right with Gabriel Agreste. He’s too far gone into his obsession to keep the company together on his own, but there’s no longer anyone left who’ll work with him—or at least nobody who wouldn’t set off his rapidly increasing paranoia.
Gabriel Agreste is alone in a house that is much too large for him, abandoned by everything and everyone that ever mattered to him, wondering why the world has become so hostile and why everyone has become so childish. He is no longer legally allowed to speak to his son, and he has never seen his grandson in person. He doesn’t recognize—and he will never recognize—that he’s blitzed himself out of any importance.
Barely anybody is even scared of Hawkmoth anymore, and nobody remembers Gabriel Agreste, except as a footnote in the history of Marinette Dupain-Cheng. And he did it to himself.

What is Too Soon Dadrien AU? I feel like I will love it just from the title! :D
The Too Soon Dadrien AU starts with Adrien leaving home as soon as he is legally able to (while taking as much of his inheritance as he can) and cutting off all contact with his family. For reasons that haven’t yet been explored, he somehow ends up accidentally promising to adopt an orphan named Raphaël—and, Adrien being Adrien, once he realizes what he’s done he REFUSES to take it back.
So, after a lengthy legal proceeding and a large amount of “are you CRAZY” lectures from his friends and his friends’ parents, he ends up the legal father of Raphaël Agreste at age 19. Once they realize they can’t stop him, pretty much the entirety of Adrien’s found family decides that they are now also responsible for the child (and for making sure Adrien doesn’t kill himself trying to be a good parent). It’s a very found family-heavy AU with some side bonus Adrienette, Dupain-Cheng grandparents, and Chloé being a surprisingly good auntie.

Oh heck yeah I definitely love the idea! Adrien how do you accidentally adopt a child hahaha. How great is auntie Chloe?
Adrien is quite offended with you.“I didn’t accidentally adopt a child! I just... accidentally promised to adopt one. The adoption itself was very intentional!”
Auntie Chloé is obsessed with her nephew. Adrien and Marinette can both be kind of scatterbrained; Chloé is not. Chloé keeps track of everything. When Rafe’s favorite toy breaks she knows about it almost before he does and swings by with a replacement (unless he broke it himself, in which case he needs to learn to respect his possessions. She’s not André.) Marinette knows every single one of Raphaël’s events—Chloé knows every single one of Rafe’s friends' events, and what kinds of gifts they like, and which ones of them maybe shouldn’t be hanging around Rafe anymore.
Sabine has actually had to tell her to back off a little. All she had to say was, “You don’t want to become Nathalie,” and Chloé immediately realized she probably needed to take a vacation.

For too soon Dadrien AU, how many siblings would Rafe have, and how would he act towards them?
We’ve looked at this a few times before, so let’s try to expand on those posts without rehashing anything I’ve already said.
Marinette always wanted two boys and a girl. That... did not end up happening. Adrien and Marinette decided to stick to adopting, but it turns out that both of them are absolute suckers for adorable little girls with sweet faces, which is how they end up with Gabrielle and Lisette. The two girls are younger than Raphaël by quite a bit, and he’s a very overprotective big brother; he teases them a lot, but the family is definitely full of love.
Adrien and Marinette decide that three children is enough. That also ends up not happening.
The pregnancy is an accident, but after a very long discussion, they decide that they do in fact want to keep the baby, and thus Emelie Sabine “Emma” Agreste is born. The two parents have absolutely no idea how to deal with a baby, since every child they’ve had thus far was adopted between the ages of six and twelve; it’s a very different experience that they aren’t completely prepared for. But by this point, Rafe is almost an adult himself, and he absolutely adores his new baby sister, and Tom and Sabine have a lot of experience to share (Marinette was an extremely fussy baby).

Can we have more of that Too Soon Dadrien AU? I need cleansing from that previous Cursed one.
Adrien emancipated himself as soon as he was legally able to, after basically moving his entire trust out of his father’s hands. So he’s got money for university
He still works multiple part time jobs, though, because he doesn’t want to burn through all of his savings at once
He didn’t mean to adopt a child. It wasn’t completely intentional—something he said made eight-year-old Raphaël think he was gonna get adopted, and as soon as Adrien realized he found himself unable to back out and live with himself afterward
So the adoption goes through (with some difficulty—Adrien has to prove he’s a fit parent, he can care for Rafe, and whatnot)
He names the Lahiffes and Sabine Cheng as Rafe’s godparents pretty much immediately. He doesn’t know a lot of good parent figures but he knows that if anything happened to him (like, say, supervillains), they’d care for the boy and raise him loved.
He’s been dating Marinette for a while, but he knows it’s completely unfair of him to expect her to be a mother this early, so he tells her he understands if she needs to leave. She just shrugs, smiles, and tells him she just needs to change the names of the kids she’s planned for them, that’s all
He decides to marry her right then and there, though obviously he’s not going to propose for a while longer at least
Gabriel is never allowed near his grandson
Manon Chamack is Rafe’s favorite babysitter

How does Rafe figure out about Chat Noir’s identity?
Raphaël Agreste never told anyone he was afraid of the dark. It was a silly fear, after all, one he was too grown up for—everyone in Paris knew the real monsters lived in the daytime, waiting to catch you when you were sad or angry or scared. Everyone had nightmares about black butterflies. But those came in the day.
Rafe still hated the dark. He tried to tough it out—never asked for a nightlight, never went to find his foster parents at night, never left his bed (even if he had to pee). He could be brave. He would be brave. Like Ladybug. Ladybug, who was always scared and kept fighting anyway.
Even after his adoption, Raphaël Agreste rarely got much in the way of sleep.
Then he woke up in the middle of the night to find himself sobbing in his new father’s arms—a man barely older than him, a man he didn’t quite trust yet. “You were screaming,” Adrien—not Dad, not yet—said, stroking his back. “Nightmares?”
Rafe set his lip. “I’m not scared.”
Adrien smiled. “Really?” he said. “Cause I am.”
Rafe narrowed his eyes.
“I sleep with a nightlight, did you know that?” Adrien said. “Too many bad memories in the dark.”
“No way,” Rafe said, shaking his head. “You’re too big for that.”
Adrien smiled his crooked smile. “Never too big for a nightlight,” he said. He booped Rafe’s nose, causing him to scrunch up his face in discomfort. “Part of being a grown-up is admitting that sometimes we need to be kids.”
“Ladybug doesn’t need a nightlight,” Rafe grumbled.
Adrien snorted. “Actually,” he said, “she needs several. And a large number of stuffed animals.”
Rafe crossed his arms. “You’re just saying that.”
Adrien reached out, took Rafe’s hand gently in his own. “Raphaël,” he said. “If you ever feel scared, you can come tell me. Okay?”
“I’m not scared!”
Adrien stared, then sighed. “Rafe,” he said. “Let me show you something.” He held up his hand. “Plagg? Claws out.”
Rafe’s eyes widened as his new father flashed green, and then, in his place, sat Chat Noir.
“I’m always scared, Rafe,” Chat said, his voice soft. “I’m scared for Ladybug. I’m scared for you.” He reached out and clasped his son’s forearm. “But no matter what happens, I will always be there to protect you from the monsters.”

When it finally does go down, how does it happen when Marinette officially becomes a mom To him. ( for Dadrien)
Rafe finds out that his dad is planning to propose to Marinette when he accidentally loses the ring and freaks out trying to find it. It turns out that Adrien’s proposal plan is ridiculously overcomplicated, despite Plagg’s attempts to get him to simplify (though Rafe doesn’t know about Plagg yet). Raphael convinces Adrien to make a simpler proposal and gives him a deadline, or else he’s going to tell Marinette himself.
Rafe is the ringbearer for the wedding and he’s super happy that Marinette’s now officially his mom.

In Too Soon Dadrien, I think I remember that Marinette and Adrien are dating? Has there been a reveal? How did it go? That could get messy if there's an attack, they don't know yet and Adrien's trying to get Mari to watch the kid(s), but Ladybug's got to go.
The reveal did happen! It was also really soft. What happened was that Adrien and Marinette finally got together, and after about four months he realized just how much he was in love with her, so he told her his identity.
She was flabbergasted, pissed off, and also laughing her ass off because oh my god, I’m Ladybug and we’ve been dodging each other for four years!
Adrien had to go sit down for a bit after that.
Rafe gets adopted only a few months after that, when Adrien is 18 or 19. Adrien forgot to ask Marinette’s permission before starting the process, and told her he’d understand if she left him over it. She, of course, did not, and Adrien pretty much immediately went to Tom and Sabine to ask for their advice on an engagement ring.

What does Adrien do to ensure he doesn't "turn into his father"?
Adrien’s apartment floor is knee-deep in parenting books. Originally he was willing to parent Rafe by himself if he had to, and actually kind of accidentally ends up smothering the kid with too much affection at first—kind of forgets that he needs privacy too.
However, everyone around him quickly realizes that, no matter how much effort he puts in, Adrien at 19 is not qualified to be a single parent. He’s making basic mistakes, and he may love his son but he’s not great at the “independence” thing, as a reaction to being left alone by his father for so much of his life. So the Dupain-Chengs and the Lahiffes step in to help him, and Adrien is overjoyed that his son has so many more people that love him than he ever did.
Over time, as Adrien acclimates to being a parent and Marinette and Rafe grow closer, Rafe’s godparents step back a bit and let Adrienette be parents on their own.

Does Rafe do homeschool or public?
Public school, natch. Adrien remembers what it’s like to be kept in the house, even if Rafe is used to having more people around than Adrien ever was. (Also important: Adrien makes sure to help Raphaël keep in contact with his old friends from the foster home, because those relationships are important to keep.)
