so i was inspired by this post and wrote down everything ford says in the show-- im 99% sure this is accurate, at least to what i heard him saying. in my heart, there were some things like... i think he should be saying "going to" instead of "gonna", but im sorry, jk simmons was saying GONNA. also ford Constantly speaks like a storyteller, i tried to not over-italicize but seriously, he just talks like that! oh, and i didnt include all of his grunts and whatnot, unless he made a sound that felt like he was intentionally making it, like "oh-ho-ho"

its only separated by what age ford was when he was speaking, but i suppose if people like i could also clarify what episode the dialogue is from? i didnt really see a purpose in doing that

Which Phantoms in the past ten years or so are the closest to the classic 90s Phantoms in terms of acting and singing?

Last ten years or so? So only back to 2014? Well then...

From the UK, I mainly think of John Owen-Jones, probably because he sort of is an old school Phantom. (He still had a run in 2016, he counts.) From the US, probably Laird Mackintosh and Ted Keegan, again because they kind of are from that era. As for internationally, probably Brad Little, Tomas Ambt Kofod and David Arnsperger, and can't forget Ian Jon Bourg, still going strong after all these years, though I think he's no longer the Phantom understudy, alas.

okay hello please if you will indulge in this little drabble about a tiny spider-person at HQ

Miles knew there were lots of spider people out there, but this was taking it to a whole new level. Especially the one that was actually the size of a spider.

He had to do a double-take at the tiny figure sitting snugly on Pavitr's shoulder. It took him a minute to realize that they, too, were wearing a little black spider suit, just like his.

"Staring is rude, Miles," Gwen chided when he saw where her friend's gaze was.

Miles shrugged. "Can you blame me? I've never seen a tiny person before." A pause. "Have you?"

"Well, yeah. Everybody know The Widow."

"The Widow?"

"Yeah. Like a black widow. But that name's already taken."

Miles shook his head in understanding as Pavitr glanced down to his tiny friend.

"Do you want to introduce yourself?" he whispered. The tiny nodded. "He's a pretty good guy."

"Haven't you only known him for like, 10 minutes?"

"I'm a great judge of character," Pavitr said with a smile.

Miles froze when Pavitr started to walk toward him. Instead of saying anything, the Mumbattan Spider-Man simply extended his arm out, palm up, and let his small friend scale themselves down.

"Hi," they breathed, offering a small wave. "I'm --"

"PETRA!"

The tiny whipped their head around. "Miguel! Heeeeey, you big brute."

"I'm not in the mood for nicknames," he grumbled, though Petra knew he wasn't actually mad. "You were supposed to be helping me in the lab."

"Funny story," Petra said sheepishly, "Pavitr was actually taking me there!" They paused and gave Pavitr a pinch when he didn't react.

"Oh! Right. Yes. That is definitely true."

Miguel rolled his eyes, but let Petra see their lie through, because god, they were just adorable. Any annoyance he felt just melted away with just five seconds of conversation with the tiny.

"Give them to me," Miguel demanded, holding his palm out.

"Miguel, come on," Petra smirked. "Ask him nicely."

Pavitr simply raised his eyebrows. Miguel sighed.

"Give them to me... please."

"There, see? That wasn't so hard."

Nobody would ever say it out loud, but watching Petra jump around and make impossibly long leaps was everybody's favorite thing -- especially Miguel's. He had found them cowering and scared in their home dimension, completely unaware of the spider powers they possessed. He had practically raised them, watched them learn and grow and become comfortable in the giant worlds they visited. They were the closest thing he'd ever have to a real daughter.

Miguel's heart fluttered when Petra landed lightly into his open palm, like it always did. Pavitr bent down and gave his friend a fist bump, grinning at the comical size difference in their hands. He unfurled his index finger and gave them a playful poke, to which Petra responded by shooting webs at him and yanking him forward. He always forgot how strong they were.

"You better brush up on your skills, Pavitr. They're stronger than you," Miguel joked with a lighthearted smile.

"He can smile?!" Miles whispered furiously to Gwen, who smirked. "He doesn't seem like the joking type."

"Miguel has... something of a soft spot for them," Gwen whispered back. "Not hard to see why."

"Yeah," Miles agreed. "They're adorable."

Petra made their way up from Miguel's open palm to his shoulder, where they promptly took a seat and grabbed onto the folds of his suit for stability. Miguel always made it a point to walk slower and straighter when he had Petra with him, no matter how many times they said he didn't need to.

Miles stiffened when Miguel walked over, but slapped a smile on anyway. Pavitr practically materialized next to him, grinning up at Petra.

"I love this," he said, nudging Miles. "They're taller than both of us now."

Petra waved dramatically. "I'll see you later, Pavitr!" Their friend gave them a small salute, and they turned their attention to Miles. "And it was nice to meet you for five seconds! I'm sure we'll talk more later."

"No, you won't," Miguel grumbled, but Petra didn't care.

"Don't listen to him!" they smiled. "He doesn't control me."

"You are on my shoulder right now," he said flatly.

"And I can just as easily get on another one," they teased. That seemed to shut Miguel up.

Miles couldn't help but laugh at the sight of a tiny, little spider person on Miguel's huge shoulders. Man, he loved it here.

i have decided to go on an adventure today

The adventure so far: I have no idea if I'm on the right bus and someone has tried to ask me something but I couldn't hear them so just kinda smiled at them until they got frustrated and left me alone and this whole place smells like cigar smoke

The poor SECDEF being referenced in Ice's postcard as an unfunny man and then in the Slider POV where Ice and Mav talk to SECDEF and have some sort of inside joke where they laugh about them. I love all these small inside references that feel like Easter eggs. How do you keep track of them when you're writing? Not sure if it will be in the 120k words of extra scenes (which I'm so grateful for, like I'd be fine with even just scraps) but being a fly on the wall while Ice interacts with the SECDEF be like sounds hilarious. Ironic that Ice thinks that he'd sit out in his retirement until he becomes SECNAV and then possibly SECDEF in "Debriefing" and that Ice has become the sort of unfunny man that lost his acerbic wit but regained it by the end in Slider's POV. Anywho I'm kind of in love with your writing and these characters and will sorely miss them when you're done posting these extras. Thank you for writing this fic and the extras and the WIP Wednesdays and everything. I know you've got other writing projects and wishing you the best, and can't wait until the 120k words drop this weekend. :)

I have fallen for you baiting with the Zelink kids, I’m begging to hear something about them

OK OK SO, so far i have built already how they come to be and all, I'm just working on how life will be like after totk (dont have the game yet, but friends do so imma be asking for sum help)

But so far, we have 2 kids! Both of them are girls, 3 years apart. Older sister is named Sonia (yes in honor of Queen Sonia herself), and the youngest is named Adira

Sonia is more like her dad, especially in terms of looks, but she had inherited her mother's eyes and thurst for answers. She's very energetic and adventurous, and likes helping others

She tends to be the guinea-pig to alot of her sister's projects and creations since she has almost no self preservation. She enjoys it tho, thinking it as a fun activity to try out new things and hang out with her sister. She also enjoys carving things, mainly toys and masks. Most of her sister's toys were made by her when they were around 11 and 8

Although she is usually quite the airhead, and not really the brightest (like her dad, cough-), she definitely inherited her mother's overthinker mind. Doesn't help that she also tends to think little of herself, being the firstborn of the Princess and Hero themselves, alot of people put her under alot of high expectations and although her parents tried their best to show she didn't have to prove her worth, the gossip around town was hard to ignore, doesn't help the fact that her sister has started to become a prodigy to her mom, creating inventions to help hyrule and planning to bring the royal system back when she's old enough

Sonia though, has no intention of bringing the royal life back, nor to continue it. Like her dad she wants to explore, she's fascinated by history and wants to disvover every small relic left unseen. And she wants to travel beyond Hyrule one day as well and help those she comes across her path. But also perhaps, escape the duties and expectations others put on top of her, and perhaps prove herself better then those expectations

She loves her sister tho, despite everything, and will never admit to her how jelouse she actually is of Adira. How jealous she was of Adira of being able to hang out with their mom so much, have so much in common with her, sometimes she wonders if she has anything from her mom other then her eyes

Adira is alot like her mother, especially in the looks department, but she has her father's eyes and thurst for chaos. She's usually quiet, but very sassy when needs be, and although seeming quite shy, she got quite the temperament and wont hold back her tounge

Like mentioned previously she becoms a prodigy to her mom, creating and getting invested on inventions to help hyrule and planning to bring the royal system back when she's old enough. She spends most of her time studying and working on anything technology finding it fun to see what possible outcomes it came give

Although sometimes the pressure is too much, as much as her parents give her the liberty to explore her interests, as she had started to show advancements in her creations and helping hyrule, as well as proclaiming to bring back the kingdom (even tho she was a child when she said that), all eyes were now set on her and she is terrified of any failure, and to disappoint everyone, she usually confides on her sister who never cared of her status and just liked to be around her for her (and well, she felt too embarrassed about it to tell her parents about it, they didn't need to worry about such simple things in her eyes, they already fought the townsfolk so much bc of that, she didn't want to make them dislike her parents bc of her)

She admires her sister alot, looks up to her and wishes she could be as cool as her, as free as her, but she isn't good in any sort of physical activities and is usually just stuck in the lab. And that causes a smidge of jealousy as Sonia is able to bond more with their dad then Adira ever could, she feels like she has nothing in common to her dad other then his eyes and need for chaos (which the second part was something looked down apon by others)

And those are the basics i have so far, there is more but I'm unsure about it for now, and aren't 100% concrete yet, so i wont share at the moment

But before i end this, here are some small fun facts:

Both Sonia and Adira are pure glutons, just like their dad XD. They have cooking sessions together quite often, helping around the kitchen when they can;

Sonia loves horses as much as her dad does, but she is terrified of riding them, because when she was little and riding one for the first time, the person who set settle on didn't do it properly and she fell, head first into a rocky ground, and to add onto it, the horse stepped right onto her pinky. Now she has small panic attacks trying to ride them

Sonia actually used to hate Adira. Since Adira was a rainbow baby, Zelda and Link did kinda get overprotective with her, and accidentally neglected Sonia. That didn't last long after Sonia did cause a whole scene with running away and almost getting killed- but that's likez a whole other story in itself lol (i might make a more detailed post about this later). But after that incident they were able to work things out and Sonia ended up being way more protective over Adira then her own parents
