Gavin Creel Memorial Celebration To Be Livestreamed In The U.S. And UK

The memorial celebration for the late Broadway star Gavin Creel will be livestreamed in both the U.S. and UK, with New York’s MCC Theater hosting the U.S. stream and the Society of London Theatre hosting in the UK. The memorial will take place at Broadway’s St. James Theatre on Monday, December 2 at 4 p.m. ET. The event will be open to the public. Those wishing to attend in person are requested to email their name and contact information to GavinCelebration@BespokeTheatricals.com. The MCC Theater-hosted livestream will be accessible on MCC’s YouTube channel. The SOLT-hosted UK stream on its Official London Theatre YouTube channel will begin at 9 p.m. GMT. The event will not be available to view on-demand once it has concluded. Creel, a tireless LGBTQ+ advocate who appeared on Broadway in The Book of Mormon, Hair, Waitress, Into The Woods and, in a Tony-winning performance, Hello, Dolly!, died of a rare, aggressive cancer at just 48 years old on September 30. His death prompted an outpouring of grief within the Broadway community. MCC Theater presented Creel’s original musical Walk on Through: Confessions of a Museum Novice form November 13, 2023-January 7, 2024. In London, Creel was an Olivier Award winner and recognized for his charity work, particularly for Acting For Others. Donations in his memory are suggested to be made to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Broadway will dim its marquee lights on December 3 at 6:45 p.m. ET in his honor. The Off Broadway MCC will also dim its lights in tandem with the Broadway theaters. The YouTube channels for both the US and UK streams can be seen below.

I need a scene where the Avengers learn just how important Tony Stark was to Nick Fury. I don't care if its a two minute scene or an hour long movie, I just need them to know. Maybe after he snaps and Steve carries the body home and Fury is waiting there, in the entrance, and the Avengers fall in a circle around Tony, protecting him because well, they're not going on another mission. Not today. Not now. But Fury isn't there for that, hes not there to talk to them. He catches sight of Tonys slack face, his body limp in Steves arms and goes “what happened. WHa- what is stark doing?” And Steve answered, voice cold as the ice he dove into 70 years ago, “Hes dead sir.” and Fury… just.. Breaks. Sinks to his knees and sobs. And the Avengers are caught off guard because what??? And the Carol goes to his side and lays an arm around his shoulders and then looks at the Avengers and goes “what you guys didn't know they loved each other? Who else have you ever heard call Fury nick?” and it just.. Hits them then. Not only did they lose their friend, not only did pepper lose her husband, and morgan and peter their dad, but Fury lost his son. And somehow, that makes it all the more heartbreaking

These award giving bodies hailed Jodie Marie Comer as the best lead actress in a play for Prima Facie this year.

She’s 30 years old. And already has TWO out of FOUR, making it halfway through an EGOT STATUS.

She’s one award short of completing the acting trifecta, and we all know she’s getting that Academy Award within 2-5 years.

This woman’s talent is crazy. I love her and I’m so proud to witness all of her achievements so far. Watch out, world. This woman has just begun.

**PS: Out of the 10 nominations Jodie Comer has gotten so far, she’s already won 8 out of them. For one show. And of the two awards she didn’t get, one of those was a category where all performances were combined (musical and straight play), and the other one was voted by fans. She won the most important awards. And she didn’t even go to drama school. That’s just pure talent. Amazing.

Peter: Well, since Ned found out I was Spiderman he started doing this thing where he randomly throws stuff at me to see if I can catch it when my backs turned

Tony: ...okay... and?

Ned: so we were at school and our teacher was giving us a 5 minute break

Peter: I was talking to MJ who was sat behind me

Ned: I was bored and wasn't really thinking then I threw this massive textbook at Peters head

Peter: But I couldn't catch it because that would be suspicious!

Ned: then our teacher started yelling at me and everyone was so shocked but I couldn't stop laughing because it was really funny

Peter: then she gave us detention for disturbing class

Tony: okay, I can understand why Ned got detention, but not why Peter did

Peter: she said I was also disrupting class and apparently me saying that I did nothing except get assulted by a physics textbook was arguing with the authority figure

Jelly, thanks to you sending this, this afternoon i watched all of Tony Hawk in Boom Boom Sabotage and i had the time of my fucking life. the entire thing had me in stitches. if i'd seen this as a kid it would've eliminated all of my brain cells. the writing is so stupidly funny and the animation looks like Hoodwinked. "Cirque du So-Lame," and "Smells like pee pee and poo poo in here," had me DEAD 💀💀💀 and WHAT can i say about Larry Grimley except there is so, so very much wrong with him. he looks like a distant relative of Bowler Hat Guy and he has the exact voice i headcanon Rouxls Kaard to have 😂💖 he's so fruity and cunty, and for what!!! the way he picks up someone else's coffee, drinks it and then immediately spits it back out. the intense yaoi he has with his little goon. and oh god, the toe scene?!?!? what the FUCK 💀💀💀 Jelly, you're so right for this. i fully endorse your lust for this demented ringmaster and hope you invite me to the wedding 😭💖💖
