⚡️Tonitrophobia (The Fear of Thunder)
☔️ He doesn't hate the rain itself, while annoying it isn't that big of an issue. If it is thundering, fuck that. A million times no. He refuses to go out in a thunderstorm. (It reminds him too much of something or someone being smited.)

Milk & Cookies {Edmund}
Lightning crashed, illuminating the dark hallway which led into the library. During the day, Cair Paravel was quite enchanted and always felt magical, but at night, it felt gloomy and terrifying. The once bright walls were dark, the portraits seemed to stare and watch every step you make. The floors were cold and icy, so much in fact, you felt as if you could grow icicles on the bottoms of your feet.
I trudged silently down the icy halls, my tonitrophobia keeping up at this time of night. Lightning, I was fine with, but thunder? I could break down and cry at how fearful I was of the sudden loud noise, and apparently, I wasn't the only one kept awake by such a terrible storm.
I walked into the library to try and soothe my nerves with a book on Narnian urban legends. As I opened the door cautiously, so I wouldn't wake anyone, I tiptoed towards a corner I was familiar with.
"Who's there?" A familiar, masculine voice called out.
I knew exactly who it was and for some reason, I felt less scared. My body relaxed once I realized I wasn't alone. "It's (Y/n)." I whispered quietly, just barely loud enough for him to hear.
"What on earth are you doing awake?" Edmund asked, his voice sounded a tad bit muffled.
In the darkness, as I glanced around, I could make out his silhouette. He was sitting in an armchair, only being illuminated by lightning crashing.
"I suppose I could ask you the same thing, Edmund." I replied, walking towards him carefully and anxiously.
"You can call me Ed, you know." He chuckled quietly.
"Sorry, Ed." I sprinted towards the chair by him as soon thunder crashed, it was significantly louder than usual and I panicked.
My whole body shook in fear, I was now sitting in the chair, burying my head in my hands.
Edmund took notice between the flashes of lightning and leaned forward.
"Cookie?" He offered, holding out a plate of cookies.
I was confused and looked up at him.
The lightning flashed, lighting up his face to reveal a visible look of concern. His brows furrowed, his forehead was creased, eyes squinted. He was trying to study her body language and see if she was alright, obviously, he realized she was not. He didn't know what to do so he resorted to sharing his cookies with her.
"I'm fine, thank you." I whispered and stared at the ground.
"Come on, these are special cookies. Specially made to ease any fears!" He smirked playfully and lifted an eyebrow.
How could I say no when he was being so playful and kind?
Sighing, I reached forward and took a cookie. "Thank you, Ed."
"You're welcome. I'll be right back." He jumped up and hurried out quietly.
My fear came back again, the thunder crashing loudly, causing my heart to pound inside my chest so hard that I could hear it in my head. Covering my ears, I sat and waited for Edmund to come back, counting the flashes of lightning in my head. Tears were flowing down my cheeks and I couldn't stop them. My breathing was shallow and I could hardly steady it.
"(Y/n)? (Y/n)? Can you hear me? What's wrong?" Edmun laid a hand on my shoulder, causing me to panic and push him away. He gripped my wrists which made me look at him, eyes still flooding with tears. I couldn't say anything, I just hugged him and cried. I was too scared to speak.
He stood there with me in his arms, gently rubbing circles in my back and trying to help me steady my breathing. "It's alright, I'm here. You're safe." He whispered reassuringly, there was something about him that just made me feel so calm, safe, and warm.
As my crying came to a stop, he looked me in the eyes and sat me down in the armchair, squatting in front of me and taking my hands in his own. "Now, what's wrong that made you like this?" He questioned. His voice was soft and gentle, the gaze in his eyes was warm and tranquil, contrast to his typical cold gaze.
"I'm... I'm afraid of thunder. I hate it, it's terrifying. That's why I can't sleep." I explained. My cheeks were beet red from embarrassment.
"Really? I find it relaxing, I just couldn't sleep because I have insomnia. I'll tell you what, maybe some milk and cookies would help keep your mind off of it until the storm passes?" He suggested calmly.
"Do you think it'll help?" I ask, meeting his gaze as lightning flashed again.
"Well, we can at least try it. What do you say?" He replied with an amused smile.
"Let's try it." I smile softly.
"Good, because I got you a cup for milk already." He replied and turned around to pour milk into an empty cup he had gotten for me. He handed it to me and offered me some cookies.
After I took a few cookies, he sat across from me.
"It's alright (Y/n)." He assured me.
Somehow, eventually, we ended up sitting on a bench by the window to watch rain. I would cower away and bury my face in his shoulder, clutching his forearm in fear.
He held my hand gently. "It's alright to be scared, but it can't hurt you. When you get scared, you can squeeze my hand." He whispered in a smooth, raspy tone. He too, was clearly tired but couldn't sleep.
I ended up falling asleep on his shoulder shortly after, feeling completely comfortable and safe with him around me.
He smiled and grabbed a blanket from off a chair and draped it over her. "Get some rest, (Y/n)." He moved a few locks of stray hair away from her face and sat nearby to listen to the rain until he fell asleep.
From then on, milk and cookies became a common thing to do during stormy nights, just he and I, though Lucy and Susan questioned it.
