Motivation Monday

Taking a break from baking those pineapple tarts and write some snippets (plus I saw @911coded posted their Stargate AU! snippet earlier so might as well join the fun lol)

In which Buck is embracing his new role as Atlantis Expedition's Quartermaster/Safety Officer much to people's despair (and reverence.)

“Look, I don’t mind occasional chaos, and your work are important to this expedition but,” Buck loomed over two soot-covered scientists, who winced as he tapped his clipboard against his thigh impatiently, “but you guys really need to pay attention to lab safety! Especially when it could affect everyone around you.” He looked pointedly at the soot-marked ceiling and the foam they used to extinguish the fire that threatened to burn down the entire lab as the scientists winced again.

He quickly scribbled on the clipboard,“Both of you leave me no choice but to ban both of you for the rest of the week from your labs and reassign to common cleaning duties while we fix this mess and you guys think about what you did wrong today.” They cried in unison.

“Quartermaster Buckley. There you are.” Buck suddenly froze before quickly turning around to see Pilot Tommy Kinard grinning at him.

Behind him, the two scientists he was scolding immediately took off, sending thumbs up at the pilot for the distraction. “Oh, uh, pilot Kinard. Y-You done with your flight d-duties today?” Mentally, Buck both cursed at his stutter and this beast of a pilot in front of him that always makes his stomach queasy and his legs quivering everytime he turned his storm-blur eyes on him.

"I did, I was just looking for you to submit my paperwork. And here I thought I told you to just call me Tommy, Evan." Buck physically reeled back from the sheer brightness of the smile on him.

God, why is this man making him feel so confused?!!

9-1-1 SEASON 7: FAVORITE MOMENTS ↳ part 21/?

Imagine Buck saying “i love you” first and for the first time Tommy feels behind. He feels like maybe they are moving too fast.

Then he has a talk with some of his team. They’re not AS close as the 118 but they put their life in each others hand’s on the regular and that counts for something.

Andy asks Tommy about last week, when Buck was complaining about his apartment being so far so they started talking about moving in together? Aubree mentions how much he jokes about buying a ring for his beau, and Tommy sits back because he does joke a lot about (he hasn't spoken to Evan directly about it but anytime the kid does something sweet he asks him his ring size). Lucy mentions the time they spend talking and texting, she calls it nauseating with a wink, but Tommy doesn't remember the last time he wanted another person in contact with him at all times and who returned the feeling tenfold.

And after all, with their job they could die any day. He sits in his kitchen and replays the moment Evan said it again and again: "I know I'm dragging you through milestones like a cat with a mouse, and I want to let you know that you don't have to say it back. But I love you, Tommy. You mean a lot to me and I'm so happy we met."

Nine months is the longest relationship Tommy has ever had. And he still wishes he could spend every waking second with Evan.

By the end of the night he's barging into Buck's apartment and sticking his tongue in the younger man's mouth. He stands back and pushes his chest up and smiles and says "I love you too, Evan."

Buck is laughing, he's smiling and kissing his boyfriend back and hugging him tight. He can feel Tommy's heart racing when he puts his hand to Tommy's chest. He expected it to take longer. He'd heard about all the ways Tommy had been hurt before. But in the end it only took a day

then they hear a flush and Eddie walks out of the bathroom. He's smiling because Buck's loft is Not Big and he might have heard every word. For just a moment, they all stand in silence not uncomfortable per say but definitely charged.

Then Eddie says "I love you too, bro." Buck lovingly rolls his eyes and Tommy is cracking up. If it were anyone else he'd probably feel embarrassed but Eddie has shared friendly declarations of love before and its not uncommon for the L word to be passed around a 118 dinner party like hors d'oeuvres.

911 lone Star: This show started with all but one firefighter dying and people haven't stopped dying since. It's only pain. everyone gets their houses blown up! But we're also a family!

So funny that Buck has no problem flirting with women but when it comes to men he goes full “get out of my school firehouse”

so how would you have this play out. say buck and tommy start experimenting halfway into this season and then eddie gets wind of it gets pissed and shit goes down and by seasons end tommy leaves, buck is going to be comfortable with the idea of being with men, tommy probably gives buck a hint about eddie and well marisol and eddie probably break up as well cause homegirl is gonna be like you're more interested in your best friend dating a man then me, tell my why that is? oh it's so juicy.

I've said this before but I don't know if I've ever said it publicly: I am betting on a Bones season six situation.

For those of you who don't know, in the television show Bones, at the end of season five one half of the slow burn, Booth, confessed his love to Brennan, the other half, and she turned him down. She was terrified that their relationship wouldn't work out and she'd lose him. Booth, brokenhearted, quit the team and got himself a new girlfriend (Katheryn Winnick, hhhnnngghhh).

In season six, Brennan breaks down and confesses to Booth she does love him and wants a relationship with him, and begs him to tell her it's not too late. Booth is hurt, and tells her that his current girlfriend is "not a consolation prize" and he's not going to break up with her to get with Brennan - he cares about her and is going to stay with her.

He and the girlfriend then break up because they want different things in life, and Booth is able to go to Brennan and be with her (after a period of adjustment).

I'm deeply inclined to think that we'll get something along those lines. We all saw how hurt Eddie looked when Buck said "she sees me" in that graveyard scene. I think that Buck is going to realize his feelings and confess to Eddie and Eddie is going to fight him, hurt and upset, telling him that he waited for ages for Buck to realize Eddie was right there, and Buck just went off with another woman. Again. And Marisol isn't someone Eddie's going to just dump the second Buck gives him a chance, he's not going to do that to her.

We'll have angst and pain and Buddie separation, Eddie and Marisol will break up, and Buck and Eddie will get together in the season finale.

(Which, for the record, I'm betting the Madney wedding is the finale. Just saying.)

I would not be surprised if they pushed Buck and Eddie getting together until the next season and instead focused on the angst to be evil and give us an emotional cliffhanger. Especially with only a ten-episode season. But I'm currently betting on them getting together in the finale.

That's my line of thinking! And if we could get Tommy asking Chim how long Buck and Eddie have been into each other while Chim astral projects his way through the last six years and bluescreens, that would be the icing on the cake.

Buck getting jealous of Eddie being close to Tommy when he wants Tommy and then Eddie figuring out "Bucks into guys but he's not into me 🤬😡😠" would be the FUNNIEST way for Buddie to really start

Eddie at the wedding flinging canapés at Buck calling him a cheater and screaming "Why am i not good enough for you?" While Bucks still sad Tommy wants to rail Eddie would be iconic

WIP WEDNESDAY

I cheerfully blame @setmeatopthepyre and @911coded for this 😂😂😂 you guys had me thinking Stargate verse again and now I'm tempted to do some rewatch 🤭🤭

Because of the firetruck bombing and later the embolism, Buck’s blood was in the system and was flagged for having ATA gene. O’Neill and Doctor Weir, looking to pad the Atlantis Expedition, were interested in his files, especially his impressive SAR qualification, his US NAVY SEAL training (and why he chose to drop out) and his heroism especially with the tsunami (They really dug deep on him, plus he saved two family members of Stargate Command and they kept raving about the brave, selfless off-duty firefighter), making him the perfect bridge for both civilian and military parts of the expedition.

O’Neill was in LA to recruit him when he found out about the lawsuit and realizing Buck was on the right (seeing that LAFD was trying hard to settle out of court with an impressive payout AND how he rejected the money saying it would hurt LAFD and all he wanted was his job back), offered a vague job offering that would let him see ‘the worlds beyond.’ I mean, LAFD loss, Stargate Command gain, right?

Buck was suspicious cos hello, Military with sus credentials but after the grocery shop confrontation, he needed to leave LA before he gets even more hurt and accepts the offer, dropping the lawsuit, leaving for Colorado Springs where he was in AWE COS SPACE!!!!

Tommy (recently out and proud after leaving 118) meanwhile was transferred temporarily out of LA to Colorado Spring SAR unit after he punched a violent parent attacking their trans child mid transit to the hospital. The brass said he did nothing wrong but the guy turns out to be VIP so they are gonna transfer him away for a short while and fix things after their ongoing debacle with 118.

Tommy’s medical check triggered an alert showing he, too, had ATA genes so O’Neill picked him up along the way (he could use another pilot in the base.)

Buck raised some VERY IMPORTANT questions about the expeditions and made some thoughtful suggestions that had people paying attention to him. Dr Weir told him to help with the planning as a test, and gave him a clipboard while at it (You’re giving me a clipboard? Buck looked in awe at her. He now has a new platonic crush on the cool doctor) and he used his clipboard power for good, and after doing such an impressive job, left Stargate Command and Stargate Expedition arguing who gets to keep him after all. The loud rivalry over him and the way people trust him with power helps heal some of Buck’s low esteem and self-confidence post lawsuit)

(Tommy has a crush on the new very cute quartermaster/safety officer and is having interesting fantasies about him and his clipboard. He sneakily applies for the expedition much to O’Neill’s shock cos hello, I recruit you for Stargate Command, not Stargate Expedition but Dr Weir snatched him up immediately cos more ATA genes the better heheheheh)

no but the potential all of the possible double dates w bucktommy have has been driving me INSANE

i want bucktommy madney "buckleys found the two softest and dreamiest guys as their perfect match" double date. tommy opening doors for buck & buck helping him wear/take off his jacket. maddie teasing buck about the princess treatment he's getting. tommy offering to fly madney to their dream honeymoon/vacation destination. tommy's eyes fixed on buck almost the entirety of the night.

i want bucktommy henren "nothing but wlw mlm solidarity" double date. them judging each others' celebrity crushes. tommy half jokingly asking karen the secrets to a happy queer marriage, but listening to her answer so intently. buck noticing the longing in his eyes and holding his hand under the table. hen and tommy reminiscing that night at the bar where they showed each other their scars, hen smiling, "you found someone who won't get scared off at last, huh?" bucktommy offering to babysit denny and mara whenever.

i want bucktommy josh & his date "a table for the gays" double date. tommy is surrounded by these queer men in their 30s, sat back, watching them fondly. they remind him of his 30 year old self, how he could have been, had he been out. they talk about anything and everything, the gay dating scene in la, how is it to date a fellow first responder, what their weirdest grindr experience was. their laughter echo through the restaurant.

i want bucktommy bathena "meeting the in-laws but not really" double date. dinner at grant-nash household. bobby telling stories from times tommy was a rookie. tommy refilling buck's glass of wine while buck is enthusiastically talking about something. tommy's hand on his thigh for most of the night. bathena exchanging knowing glances, thinking, oh, he's gonna be so good for him.
