Thinking about that one ask by @thebramblewood and it's now canon that Tomax and Darrel Charm were two street kids in the Lower Realm performing and stealing for spare change to score a hot meal.

TOMAX: Yeah — it's about to start raining harder than a cow pissing on a flat rock. If you want to stay out in that and get soaked, I mean, you can…

DAMIEN: A cow…? [His words trail off for a moment, muttered to himself before he snickers and shakes his head.] Okay, you're definitely not from anywhere I've ever been. Never heard that one before.

TOMAX: Chestnut Ridge. [He laughs.] And before you say wow, you don't even have the twangy accent, yeah, I know. I worked very hard on that. C'mon, I've got some people for you to meet if you're up for it.

DAMIEN: Uh… yeah. [He nods, shrugging noncommittally.] Sure, as long as they're cool.

TOMAX: I wouldn't introduce you to anyone uncool. [He playfully rolls his eyes.] But seriously, if you don't feel up to it, you don't have to… You know you don't have to say yes to everything someone asks you, right?

DAMIEN: I didn't know. [He grins, his tone teasing and playfully snarky.] I've never heard the words 'people pleaser' in my life and I don't know why you'd insinuate that I do a bunch of stuff I don't feel like doing on a regular basis…

TOMAX: [He opens his mouth to say something but looks up at the sound of approaching footsteps and keeps quiet instead.]

AKIRA: Dude. There you fuckin' are — Kyle and I got saddled with clean up duty for a bit but I was looking for you everywhere, are you good now? Do you need a couple more minutes?

DAMIEN: Yeah, I'm good. Why, did something happen?

AKIRA: Group meeting with just the boys, there's some shit we have to discuss. No outsiders. [He grins at Tomax] No offense to your new bro here who looks chill but it's kinda important. Akira, by the way, and your shirt's dope.

TOMAX: [He chuckles.] Thanks, it's a flea market find. I'm Tomax and uh, no offense taken.

DAMIEN: The boys as in…?

AKIRA: You know what boys, dumbass. Us. The meeting's at home.

DAMIEN: Just checking, I don't wanna see that asshole again tonight.

AKIRA: Dude, he is the least invited bitch in the universe right now. [Lowering his voice as the two of them begin to walk down the hall, his brow furrows and his lips twist into a frown of concern.] Did you think we weren't gonna have your back? Seriously?

DAMIEN: I mean… [He sighs.] I don't know, shiny new social perks and getting handed a key to the kingdom around here right out of the gate is a pretty sweet deal…

AKIRA: Fuck that, you and I have been bros since I barfed all over your desk in third grade. That's deep lore that can't be erased overnight — and since when have I ever given a fuck what anyone else thinks?

DAMIEN: [He laughs, smiling genuinely and playfully shoving Akira.] I still can't believe you made yourself sick eating a banana peel after Kyle told you that's how people get high.

AKIRA: Okay first of all, I have always been man of science so jot that down and two — we just watched the Don't Huff Markers video in class and I thought that was also stupid so it stands to reason that if that's stupid and apparently works 'cause someone made a video about it, the 'eat a whole raw banana peel' thing could be legit.

DAMIEN: Also we don't fuckin' listen to Kyle anymore. That's a valuable, life-long lesson.

Now that we'll be able to have multi-family dwellings with the new pack, I want Grace Anansi and Tomax Collette to live together in one of these instead of a house. That way they could have other spellcaster neighbors AND it would be more realistic for them, in my opinion. (Like, why would they need a whole ass house anyway?)

LORE & RULES

for me the spellcasters are too overpowerful and i made a few rules and create some sort of lore for this

AGING

until they become young adults, their aging is like any other human. but when they hit the young adult age time slows down, so they don't age like humans.

(in this save i'm not going play a legacy, so I actually won't have them aging, the seasons will take 28 days. so i don't feel like i need to rush things. i just wanna enjoy the spellcasters being messy and a lot of drama because i don't want to cause drama in my pamverse right now)

MAGIC

because i think spellcasters are too over, i'll pretend they're only capable of having certain powers, i'm using the type of magics

potions can be done by any type of magic, but not everyone will make a great potion. you need to dedicate exclusively to potions to master this. i'm pretending minerva is the girl you look for when you want to learn or you need a good potion.

using certain spells can have consequences, like if you want to bring someone from the dead, someone close to you could die.

spellcasters can see ghosts and talk to them, humans can't.

SAGES

The sages in my lore here are Keisha (mischief), Tess (untamed) and Ethren (practical). Each century a new sage is chosen, but before this happens, there's a preparation, it's like a school for sages. You go, study and at the end who's better, wins and becomes the next sage.

OTHER OCCULTS

Vampires aren't spellcaster's best friends, after what they did to the realm

Werewolves are okay, but some spellcaster doesn't like to mix with them.

CONTEXT

My main sims are going to be the sages, the real main is L. Faba

For now I have a lore that I even introduced on my save file .

I imagine Tomax having a big crush on Emilia since they were to high school together, but she fell madly in love with Darrel Charm, his name says it all, he's a charming man. Tomax never told her how he felt about her, so Emilia never really had to choose. But after seeing the way Darrel treats Emilia, will Tomax be quiet or will he try to win the girl?

The other drama I'm cooking is between Simeon and Elena. Simeon also have a crush on Elena, but never got the opportunity to do so. I imagine him being very shy and he thinks she's very cute. He knows the charming Lester is making Elena feels things (not that he's trying), I wonder what's going to happen between them.

L Faba and Loki are always trying to compete who's better and who's going to be the next sage. They're always pranking and driving each other's mad. Maybe this is going to be the beginning of something else?

Wondering what he should do with he new "freedom", Daniel followed a call from Connor to the Knights' space station.

Daniel liked the idea of visiting the place where his kyber crystal had grown, of course. But what the heck was Connor Sonderan of all people doing out here?

Connor: "You know that I want to study both aspects of the Force.

This place is the best source for dark side lore, but the Knights refuse to let me use their library and training facilities."

Daniel: "Yeah, what a surprise. I mean, who would turn down a man who openly walks around with a Resistance fan vest?”

Connor: "Oh, stop rubbing it in! YOU try getting a fancy robe when you're pinned to the ground in a shoddy hideout in the forest. Anyway, Master Tomax agreed to let me study here if I defeated a squire."

Daniel: "I see. Alright, let's sweep the floor with you and send you back to Batuu with best regards from the Order of Ren."

wrote a lore for them and its pretty long so I am unsure on where to share it but, basically, plasma flow is currently the most popular band ever, plasma flow and nervous are buddies buddies they even got inspired by then, the guys at plasma flow are all total geeks, caleb is a total heartthrob for everyone, even other celebrities and singers, morgyn is pretty chill and cool with everyone, basically buddy buddy with everyone.

hiii! i'm rereading fallen angel for the thousandth time (and loving it all over again <33) and i was curious about your thought process behind the 6 disciples of magic. so there's practical, mischief, untamed, alchemy, sages, and dark magic, right? but what are the different abilities for each practice? for practical, mischief, and untamed, are their abilities based on the spells the game has for them? and if so, what are the abilities for those who are alchemists, sages, and dark magic users?

Hi there! and thank you for reading :) (bare with me, I am recovering from a food coma lol) I explained it a bit here but I have altered it since I wrote that post and even since I've shared Fallen Angel. As I spent more time with my lore/story off screen, I started to expand on it more which I'm anxiously waiting to share in the next installment; COTF.

Anywho :) I'm just gonna slap my yap session under the cut:

Yes, Untamed, Practical and Mischief magic in Fallen Angel function like the ones in game (minus the ability to teleport. I took that out because I wanted that to be a unique ability tied to certain type of very strong magic users) Spellcasters do just that- they cast spells. They can grow and enhance their magic ability by attending schools in the Magic Realm and also by appertenticing. Without a formal education, their magic is weak.

Spellcasters are born with an inclination for a particular practice. It's why they cannot perform each other's magic. It's why Simeon can't heal, or why Morgyn became a spy for L. Faba because she could perform spells that they needed to look young. That's what makes each Spellcasters vital to each other and to their society.

Healing Magic is the ability to heal through magic however, It's something innate within the spellcaster that makes their magic able to heal. When Grace was born, her parents were healers, their parents were healers. Her magic heals others and she can do so through touch.

Alchemy is inspired by Fullmetal Alchemist, if you watched the show. This practice is heavily science based. Alchemist access their magic with the use of runes which allows them to manipulate/alter matter. That's one of the ways Tomax fought towards the end of the story, he used a rune to trap L. Faba. He also used a rune to phase they the prison wall when he was thrown into isolation for fighting Simeon.

Dark Magic is the use of dark spiritual energy to cast hexes and curses. It's a closed practice passed down through the female heirs of the Najares Witch Coven.This practice centers around their deity who gave this Selvadoradian witch coven full access to it because they offered their bloodline to in exchange for it. (to put it frankly, they sold their soul for it). And that's who Adelina is in those flashbacks. She's a Dark Witch, thus the Sage of Dark Magic.

Sages are just the masters of their craft. Once a Spellcaster completes school and university they can apprentice to become the next Sage. Simeon, L. Faba, Grace, Tomax and Morgyn are all masters of their practice, they are the the top dogs Spellcasters lol Adelina is the only option for Sage of Dark Magic since she's the only one who can use it- so whether she was a master or not didn't apply to her. She was special because her magic is desired by pretty much every Spellcasters. It's also why she was very influential and popular amongst her peers and why L.Faba was ready to turn on her peers if it meant she could find a way to use it.

TLDR: Fallen Angel's Spellcasters/Sages are like the ones in game, I made up Healing Magic (they be healing) Alchemy is spicy sexy science magic via runes, Dark Magic is a closed practice because witches post colonization of Selvadorada sold their soul for it. (They can cast hexes and curses and send spirits to haunt you if you piss them off- all kinda crazy shit lololol)

Since you've woven almost all the Realm of Magic pre-mades into your story, I'm just wondering if the Charm household fits into your world at all? Was curious what kind of lore/headcanon you might have for them, if any, since the rest of your magical world-building is so rich! I'd love to see makeovers of them in your style! (Apologies if they've shown up and i've just missed it.)

Hi ✨ I actually haven’t done any lore or character development or even makeovers for them at all. In fact, I’m embarrassed to say that I hardly notice the Charm family at all prior to Fallen Angel and after (my save is so consumed by my own sims I’d be surprised if they were homeless in San Myshuno as we speak) 😅 lol when I was sure I was going to write and begin posting a ROM story, the first pre-made I made over was Simeon then L. Faba and Morgyn and that was going to be it until I noticed Grace and Tomax . That’s when I had a vision for a FWB situation based on the fact that they’re roomies in game 🤭

I think there’s some pretty decent lore already established in game for that household I would have prob explored if I didn’t already create this entire universe 😌 like I’m pretty sure canonically Darrel Charm has beef with Tomax which if I were to create a head canon from my own story, I’d say maybe they were childhood friends growing in the slums of the Lower Realm and Darrel, like most Lower Realm civilians, hates how the people of the Upper Realm treats them and when Tomax sold out and became a Sage they fell out over it. Or maybe they were rivals looking for a chance to escape poverty by becoming a Sage but Tomax was just a little bit better and got the opportunity of a life time and now they are life long enemies because of it.

(Now that I think about it….why do I want to write this in my story now? 🤔 lmao )

But yeah, I actually really like the idea of making over The Charm family anyway, even if I don’t have any plans to include them in my story other than maybe as a background character. ✨

you already know i came from tiktok😏

1. so i’m sensing that Edin is going to be Adie’s future love interest/friend/enemy/?… I MEANN they’re both toddlers currently and they’re both supernatural

2. I know you mentioned before that you wanted to do like a magic school type of story for Adie which I think is so fucking cool!! Maybe they’ll meet when they enroll whether that’s as children or teens.

3. And for miss Ellie she’s currently a human right? Will she become a werewolf like her siblings when she becomes old enough? And if she does will she be going to that school as well or is it just for spellcasters? And is that the same for Rhys who’s currently a child or is he going to just stay in normal school? I assume Amir is too old to go and he already has a story of his own.

4. This one may be a stretch but I love reading the Sims 4 lore. There’s a character with a similar name to Adelina— Avelina who was Greg’s late wife. We’ve seen Greg fight Amir in that one episode and we know that Greg is miserable because he’s all alone now (lore wise). If they are related we know that Greg and Avelina used to be mooncasters (idk if it’s the same as spellcasters) before they became werewolves. Is there any link here or am I tripping? I mean I know you read the lore too because Lux DeMarco appears in Amir’s story (😉)

5. off topic but I love Amir. Like that’s my son with his little boyfriends. 💙💙 You got 2 men obsessed with you I know he’s living life.

6. L. Faba is obviously up to no good.. I mean she is the sage of mischief magic. This ties into my first statement about the magic school story. We know there’s going to be more to the plot then Adie just going to school. She’s gotta fight someone and save the day right??!!!! So I wondering if Miss Faba is trying to cause something to happen— I assume to Tomax because she was deadset on trying to make the man practice Dark Magic.

What if something happens to him that makes him evil?? Or even do something to Simeon or Grace?? We know in the lore Grace and Tomax are roommates (and they were roommates..🤭) and in your story they’re very close.

I did want to do a magic school type beat but that was a bit before I expanded the lore. Right now (In the next update, I'll touch on it a bit) Nora does NOT want Adie in the Magic realm or any of the sages to know about them. at all. She wants nothing to do with them, the past, her involvement in the war, all of it and honestly, her little magical trigger finger is itching to finish what she started tbh , more on that later.

1000% Ellie will be a werewolf. At this point it's kinda like a family business/rite of passage. Amir is grown grown now 🥹 but Sonny and his bunch will continue to hold down their ranch and keep vampires in check. But they actually play a pretty big part in what's to come and when my Briar legacy and Fallen Angel series meet, we will see ALOT of them.

The only link werewolves has is that they are descendants of Mooncasters and once upon a time they lived in the Magic Realm with all the occult before the Spellcasters got all high and mighty. Now werewolves just do their own thing and fight vampires. But I really don't see them having much involvement with Spellcaster drama other than possibly whooping vamp ass when needed.

L. Faba really about to put Tomax in a world of hurt...which is crazy because he's really already emotionally and mentally in shambles. I suppose that's why she picked him. He's the weakest. This update should be out in a little bit

I saw that they were roommates which made me go hmmmmm 🤔 interesting 🧐 and exactly why we'll see them roll around in the hay from time to time. But from my most recent update, I expand on Grace's ability to heal a little and really she's all about making people feel better via touch...so maybe there’s romance involved maybe she’s trying to help out an old friend because therapy doesn’t exist in the Magic Realm ig lmao 😵‍💫

Sending my theory here, because it was too long for the comments 😅

My biggest one is L. Faba is trying to start something, maybe shift the balance of magic in her favor? It's been 20 years without a Dark Magic sage and she's just now asking Tomax to attempt to tap into Dark Magic. I believe she may have been trying herself, but the Faerie child showing up is worrying her/threatening her plan so she's seeking help.

Also, I'm assuming Nora is related to Adelina in some way since Tomax said Dark Magic is hereditary and no one else has taken over as the the DM Sage in all this time. Makes me think not many can do DM.

idk idk, but I'm enjoying this so much!

P.S. I can't wait to see more of this Tomax/Grace/Simeon situation!

oh, L. Faba is definitely up to something! 👀 One of the things I love about the already established Realm of Magic lore/gameplay is the description of the types of magic/spells. It really helps me expand on the characters that came with the pack. L. Faba is the sage of Mischief magic and her spells are all about manipulating others. I like to think her go to go-to spell is Deliriate. When she needs to, she can really sink her teeth into someone for her benefit. L is at least a few 100 years old, so she'll play the long game if need be. She's also an opportunists. It's all a game of chess to her.

But L. Faba isn’t the only sage that’s self indulgent. I think they all are/can be completely detached from anything outside of their sagey bubble. It’s giving…classist/elitist 😮‍💨

As for Nora, I've posted about her in my Briar legacy updates on my Tiktok (I'm moving the entire legacy over to Tumblr now) and I've confirmed there that Nora and Adelina are sisters. She’s actually Adelina’s older sister 😌✨ Dark Magic is unique because it's hereditary and the most gatekept form of magic. In fact, no one outside of an heir has attempted to practice/master it. And Tomax is about to experience first hand why he probably should have never attempted to 😵‍💫

Tahj! Your brain! Here I was thinking Simeon’s story was your way of just delving into occult storylines more and had nothing to do with the Briar legacy then I see Titi Nora and it all clicks. 👏🏽 I’m excited to see how the story evolves and intertwines, etc.

Thank you so much! 😊✨ This and my Briar legacy are like a big ole spider web. Everything is connected and eventually as we learn the story, we see how one thing affects another.

Here’s what we know so far:

A war began between the occults ( Spellcasters vs Vampires/ Faeries)

The Sages Council consist of 6 seats for the 6 schools of magic : Practical (Simeon), Untamed (Morgyn), Mischief (L.Faba), Alchemy (Tomax), Healing (Grace) and Dark Magic (formally Adelina {deceased} )

Faeries live in the mortal realm (they were exiled from the Magic Realm sometime before the war because of their “lawless magic” )

There are also other occults in the Mortal realm (vampires, werewolves, dryads (plant sims) and mermaids)

Edin was found by Simeon along the border of the Magic realm and Mortal realm

Simeon lost his wife and two children during the war

L. Faba is convinced Adelina’s bloodline has ended which implies, she doesn’t know Nora is still alive or little Adie exist)

Speaking of L.Faba, all council members are equal in the balance of power but it does seem like L. Faba has self elected to bear down the scale a little more than the others)

Nora does not live in the Magic Realm, in fact she lives in complete solitude in the Mortal realm.

Grace has a pretty physical relationship with Tomax (as a Healer, she can provide comfort in whatever way she feels her magic would help the other) but something seems to be developing with Simeon
