i know i shouldn't read into it too much but there's something very unpleasant about how almost every antagonist in tokyo ghoul is either explicitly queer or queer coded
#or maybe i should but i don't want to expend anymore braincells on tg#listen i love tg and ishida and :re but something something biases seeping through#this is not a hidekane treatise or anything shipping related#but on many occasions heterosexuality is hinted to be proper#look i could be completely wrong because i haven't read the manga in ages but some characters stick out to me#and it's not because of the right reasons#the characters are queer in a way that they are obsessive and abusive and predatory#tokyo ghoul#toukyou kushu#draco.txt

Ok so it was edgy but Tokyo Ghoul was honestly such a great exploration of the feelings you get when something happens to you that you didn't ask for, did nothing to deserve, etc. like it explores how different people react to that and it really invokes those emotions in you too
