if necro!luz managed to get the lobotomy like harrowhark, how would hunter take it :0?
hmmmm.
UNLIKE gideon, i think hunter would understand Exactly why she did it. luz and hunter's relationship has never been as fraught as harrow and gideon's -- hunter knows that he is valued and dearly loved, he knows that luz would try anything to preserve his soul out of love.
however. i do not think this would prevent him from being, like.... just as furious and hurt as gideon is. what do you MEAN you refused to accept my sacrifice. what do you MEAN you'd scrub out my memory just for the chance of keeping my soul whole for later. eat me!! that's what i wanted you to do!!
let!! me!! be!! useful!!

3, 9, and 22 from this ask game
Tumblr media
Of course! Thank you for participating! Here, have a piece of writing...
3) That encompasses my style (@acacia-may)
Hmm... My style's developed a lot over the years, and while I haven't had much time to write lately, I do think this little bit of Clamour from a couple months ago works pretty well! It's got the signature Lilac Anaphora, lots of flowery language, an abundance of commas and a little hint of enjambment as a metaphor for mental decline. (Sorry Acacia, I know you aren't in the fandom!! If you like, you can always submit another ask- 3 is just one that I struggled to think of something for :'])
His spiral down into insanity was not a quick process, nor was it without turmoil. It had been torturous, losing himself to the whispers inside of his brain, every thought overcome by that intoxicating need for more. His heart thrummed in his ears with each movement he made, fingers itching with the need to puppeteer once more, his head full of a throbbing, pulsating, incessant craving for control. Hiding it had been easy enough. His friends were long-since accustomed to his eccentricities, so when he began acting a little more oddly than usual, no-one batted an eye. He kept his lips sewn firmly shut and a toothy smile across his face, the chanting in his head growing louder and louder and louder with every lie he told. Maybe if he’d have been a little stronger, he’d have been able to overcome it. Maybe he would have told his friends. Maybe he would have been good enough to give up the power slowly killing him from the inside. Letting go was as inevitable as it was involuntary, in the end. As the floodgates burst, a rush of distorted euphoria like nothing before had sunk deep into his soul, a growing hunger beginning to fester within him. It grew and grew, and he took and took, and his friends fell with him as he watched , and he laughed and cackled because wasn’t it so ironic that anything heavenly or good be quashed in a place that couldn’t possibly hope to fathom it, and eventually, he had stopped caring about anything at all. The other Fallen Heroes mean nothing to him. His friends had died with him all those decades ago, only crude facsimiles of their former selves remaining. So here he is, the only performer left on a dusty set of cobwebs, and that hunger inside of him never stops. Something akin to loneliness aches alongside it, the lingering results of his isolation digging in deep and refusing to grant him even a moment of solace.
9) With characters I love
For this one, I think I'm going to have to go with an extract from Take A Bow- I'm hyperfixating hard on CRK at the moment lol. This was my first time writing both Pure Vanilla & Shadow Milk, and it was a lot of fun imagining how the story might progress before Theatre of Lies was released!!
Just as quickly as the darkness had arrived, a face shot out of the tree like a jack-in-the-box, sharp white teeth glinting down at them in a twisted, elated grin. A warped, reversed version of Pure Vanilla’s own symbol gleamed in the newfound turquoise light, his breath catching in his throat as he remembered all that Elder Faerie had told them. This must be the Beast who had originally possessed Pure Vanilla’s soul jam. The blonde found his hand subconsciously drifting to the crest on his own chest, gaze darting rapidly over every aspect of the uncaged monster’s face. “Ah!” A long, high exclamation pierced through the quiet, just as delighted as its voice’s owner. “Doesn’t this fresh air just feel… Divine?!” The last word ended in a growl, something manic heightening even further as the creature lazily surveyed its surroundings. Its unwavering stare passed over each of them in turn, finally settling on Pure Vanilla. Something in its glare sharpened, distorted cerulean light dancing along iridescent pools of insanity. “Oh, I see I have quite an audience here,” it remarked, its jauntiness seeming far too out of place amidst their own fearful grimaces. “I am so terribly sorry to have kept you waiting.” The voice fluctuated between shrill shrieks and inhuman snarls, every word laced with venomous glee. Its head alone was larger than all of them combined, and Pure Vanilla was loath to imagine how excessive the casualties would be if they were to instigate another fight. “But now… The wait is over. Your favourite trickster is here,” it lowered its head in a flamboyant half-bow. Its value had become Deceit, Pure Vanilla recalled. Undeniable intelligence shone among clear madness, for this was a being born of knowledge and corrupted into lies. It was– “Shadow Milk Cookie.”
22) That is so blissfully self-indulgent
Here, have a snippet of an Owl House AU I came up with on a whim one night in which I threw Caleb Wittebane into the future and leapt over plot holes like they were hurdles on an obstacle course >:]
Caleb was going to die. There was a dagger in his brother’s hand, glinting with the dark promise of blood to be spilt and aimed directly at him, merciless and unwavering in its pursuit. Caleb’s breath caught in his chest as he stumbled backwards, heartbeat pounding in his ears with a new sort of rapidity. It used to be such a thrilling feeling: the quick yet predictable pounding against his ribs, excitement making his lips quirk or anticipation leaving them agape. It was the adrenaline that used to come with a hunt, the dread and uncertainty and wonder that brewed within him as he stepped through that portal, the butterflies fluttering in his stomach that only Evelyn could incur. Now, his heart threw itself desperately against the confines of its prison, nausea rising within Caleb’s throat and poison in his mind because he was about to die, to be killed at the hands of the person he loved more than anything. The person he had loved more than anything. The person he’d given up everything for. The person he’d raised since childhood. Ever since Caleb was young, Philip had been his biggest priority. Their parents passed when they were both young, Philip so much so that he could scarcely remember them. It fell to Caleb to raise his brother, working odd jobs so they could afford accommodations as they passed from town to town. In a world where no-one could be trusted and not a soul was on their side, it had been Caleb’s responsibility to keep his little sibling safe. To keep him alive, protected. To keep him well. Looking at the pure resentment in Philip’s glare, Caleb wondered how it had all gone so wrong. He knew, really, exactly the reason behind his brother’s murderous intent; it simply seemed impossible to associate his hopeful, smiling, playful Philip with the spite-fuelled monster before him. His head swam with memories long since tainted by acidic regret. There were so, so many ways he could have prevented this situation, eradicated even the possibility of Philip wishing harm upon him. So many things he could have done. So many things he didn’t do, and here he was now, paying the price. Caleb’s days were numbered, he’d always known that. His fate was sealed as soon as he first took Evelyn’s hand.
Thanks again for the asks! <3

Why doesn't Astrofil stop Belos from destroying the Isles?
Tumblr media
It's been mentioned a few times on this blog that Astrophel wrongfully imprisioned and isolated from any potential sources of moral guidance, and been left to stew in his anger for a very long time.
These two have a lot of overlapping trauma and they both blame the Isles as the source of that trauma. This does not justify their actions and they are not in the right for behaving this way, and figuring this out is a major part of Astrophel's character arc late in the au. If the circumstances were even slightly different, it would not be this way. As it is, Philip relies on Astrophel for moral guidance and Astrophel is acting on his emotions rather than any sense of morality.
So, since that's been covered, I'm assuming you're referring to the bit Dollie said about Astrophel later being forgiven (but calling them out) for his part in the DoU and what occurs after Belos returns to the Demon Realm and tries. Why doesn't Astrophel try to stop him?
Tumblr media
Well, who says he doesn't? You aren't the one writing this AU, you don't know what Dollie and I have planned for the end. Wait and see what happens.

#really genuinely disheartened by the news about the latest toh ep leaking weeks before it was supposed to premiere#because like i would never watch an episode early when it's not what the creators want. that's a terrible thing to do#but it seems like a lot of other people just do not care#and so instead i have to just sort of. lock myself out of the fandom for a while#which given how few things i have to get excited about these days.... eurgh#i was really excited about the timing of this one; it's right after tlovm comes back and right around the time the semester starts#and i'm sure it'll be fun to watch when it actually comes out but#not the same as the whole fandom being hyped about it#which for the penultimate episode of a show that was cancelled early? sucks#and i hate how many people seem to not care or think it's okay to watch the leaked episode just because other people are doing it#like i don't hang out in fandom tags fortunately (for many good reasons)#but going 'well. guess i have to avoid ao3 or checking out new followers' blogs' and things like that is :/#even the little fanwork discord server i'm in that i usually feel like is a nice space has folks that just... don't seem to care#and i like that space a lot but i'm considering muting it which makes me sad#i just don't get how people could be so disrespectful to the folks creating stories they love. that's awful#idk. guess i'm glad i have other fiction to care about right now#anyways! that's me done being sad about something relatively silly!#but :/

If luz really did stay behind in the demon realm in kings tide then i wonder if she would have escaped from being turned into a puppet like everyone else. Probably not bc the collector would still have king and she wouldnt leave king behind.
Or maybe the collector would have straight up killed her. They definitely want to by the end of this episode anyway.

So are we just gonna ignore the fact that there are “or at least where” apparently other collectors? Maybe one of them turned the owl beast into a scroll!? Is little collector gonna attract the attention Timon of his fuckon cosmic star child parents!?
And if they’re being from the heavens beyond, does that make the Titan creatures of the earth that rose up to nearly rival them in power?
I have no many thoughts about that bedtime story!
I haven’t the slightest idea where to begin with the other Collectors. In all the murals, they are significantly bigger than our Collector, and much more apathetic toward the creatures and worlds they collect. (Not that this kid is winning any prizes in that category, but at least he recognizes that he’d rather befriend the inhabitants than scorch the world.)
I was surprised at first when lil’ Collector had a different voice than the one we heard in Knocking on Hooty’s Door - but now I think that was intentional. That Collector probably wasn’t the same Collector. They even say ‘you look fun’ to the Owl Beast - implying they don’t recognize it or remember turning it into a cursed scroll.
Something makes me think that the other collectors are out of reach or gone for good because our lil’ Collector laments being all alone. Did those bigger Collectors leave them behind to collect this world on his own while they torment other galaxies? Or did they all perish in a battle between the Titan Trappers and Titans?
There are so many thoughts, and so many unanswered questions!

Why, out of GF, Amphibia, and TOH, only Luz didn't have to leave her new world behind:
I've seen people complain about Amphibia and to a lesser extent, Gravity Falls, for having their series end with a goodbye; the main characters having to leave their found families and this world they've grown to love and return to regular life. But the thing is, the three shows all have MASSIVELY different morals, that each fit in with how the goodbyes (or lack thereof) work into the finales.
Gravity Falls has a large theme of temporary goodbyes and reconciling. Stan and Ford being the primary example. But there are others: Soos and Melony, Wendy and Robbie, even Dipper and Mabel to an extent. The show builds upon this with Gravity Falls being a VACATION, they aren't trapped there, they could theoretically go home at any time. Episodes such as Summerween and Dipper and Mabel Vs. The Future also build on the tone, telling that it's okay to both grow up and move on, but you don't have to leave behind what you once loved in doing so.
The final conflicts (Wierdmaggedon) are caused because of characters not being able to let go. Stan couldn't let go of Ford, Mabel couldn't let go of Gravity Falls, Gideon couldn't let go of Mabel.
Gravity Falls teaches the viewer that even if you love something, you have to let it go, and eventually it will return. In the words of Bill Cipher: "We'l meet again. Don't know where, don't know when. I just knew we'll meet again, some sunny day."
Tumblr media
Amphibia has a similar theme of Gravity Falls, but it takes it further. Amphibia tells you that if you don't let go, sometimes things will only get worse. The primary example for this is the show's catalyst event: Marcy getting Anne to steal the Music Box. Marcy chose to go to Amphibia, rather than move away, and she dragged her friends into it with her. Instead of having a long distance friendship with Sasha and Anne, she took them to an alternate dimension in order to spend eternity on a massive adventure, and it got her killed. Marcy and Anne died and Sasha tried to kill herself.
And that's only Marcy. Sasha was a control freak that bordered on yandere at the height of her villain arc. Sasha couldn't accept that Anne was beginning to move on from the toxic friendship that the Calamity Trio had locked themselves into.
The trio were horrible to eachother, pre-character arcs, and they needed to focus on self improvement before they could even hope to be good friends. In the time between 'All In' and the epilog, the Calamity Trio would not have actually been able to be good for eachtoher. They say they forgive eachother, but that was forgiveness given during a WAR. Post show, the real feelings would start to bubble up. Anne's resentment for the betrayals, Marcy’s abandonment issues, Sasha's definite self hatred. The trio HAD to split up to have any semblance of a friendship.
Amphibia tells its audience that not all good things can last, and if you obsess and force it to stay, it can destroy you.
Tumblr media
The Owl House has a completely opposite moral. It tells you to find your people, and fight for them.
Luz lived in the Human Realm, but it was never her home. Her home was with Camila and Manny, but when Manny died, Camila and Luz's relationship began to falter. That world wasn't her home. When Luz found the Boiling Isles, she was always supposed to be able to leave. This wasn't a summer trip she didn't want at first, or a one way portal. The Boiling Isles was HER choice.
Luz picked Bonesburrow. Luz picked Hexside. Luz picked The Owl House. Her home was always meant to be The Boiling Isles. She only started trying to find a way back to Earth because the choice was taken from her. Luz no longer had the choice to go back to the Human Realm. In fact, the only time Luz chose Humans over Isles was when she was PUNISHING herself for helping Belos.
Luz got to stay in the Boiling Isles because TOH tells its audience that where you start isn't where you should always stay. Find your place and find your people. And when you do, hold it dear and never let go. "Us weirdos have to stick together."

Ahoy Capt! For the Wittebro n Claw modern AU, in a post you wrote: "But [Caleb's mother] used Caleb as her entire emotional support system. He took care of her, and the home, and of Philip, even as a kid."
What is the story of Caleb's parents in the modern AU? What was the mother struggling with internally and externally, is Philip still a bastard child, etc? (It sounds like she might died in a car incident...a crash? Locked the garage door with the ignition running...?) I'm curious as to how the 1660s struggle might translate to the modern AU.
Sure I can go into that! :3
cw: suicide, mental health, child emotional abuse.
First thing first - Yes, Philip and Caleb still have different fathers. But it's not as big of a GASP as it would be in the 1660s. Philip being a bastard doesn't mean much - other than that his father can get custody of him, away from Caleb. Philip is a minor, soooo... :)
Caleb still kept that secret, because he's afraid of losing custody of Philip. His position considered: Shit job, poor mental health, struggling financially, struggling with the balance of being a brother and a legal guardian, etc.
Meaning that if Philip can go some place much better, CPS would put him there. Caleb only figures later on in the plot that he's being selfish by not including Philip in making a decision on where he'd like to stay.
It's a really difficult thing to put on a kid. Caleb is aware that there's too much pressure that goes into it for Philip, which is partly why he's avoiding it (amongst many reasons). Making a kid choose between an estranged father and his brother is a difficult place. And Caleb knows that even if he says "it's okay if you want to be with your dad" it'll still be a lot of mixed feelings if Pip did choose his dad.
That sort of situation isn't black and white, it's hardly an easy choice, and theres no way for nobody's feelings to get hurt.
Caleb's need to protect Philip and shield him is a double-edged sword. He can't win. Keeping him from the world has had an affect on Philip that Caleb only realises too late, but coming forth now will also destroy him.
Kinda making a reference here to King, when he found out he wasn't King of Demons. I'm drawing many parallels between young Philip and King Clawthorne in general and broad strokes.
And yes, their mother committed suicide in the car. In 1660s, she died from syphilis, which did contribute to her altered state of mind and hypomania.
Caleb keeps the car in-case Philip wants to learn how to drive. The second reason is that, if Philip doesn't really want to, or if Caleb just can't handle life any more, he's going to use the car too. Though, he wants to crash it in the woods. Because the woods are where he feels free, and he wants to die there.
In this version, their mother started drinking after her husband and mother passed away pretty close span of one another. She was not a functioning alcoholic, and could not handle grief very well.
She also became extremely religious after their deaths.
The mode of coping with grief for the Wittebanes appear to always be escapism. Since grief and escapism are big themes in TOH, I like to explore how it becomes generational trauma and a passed-on behaviour.
Caleb isn't a copy-paste of his mother's actions, he tries to break the cycle but the inherited behaviours are there. He isn't emotionally burdening Philip, in-fact, he very purposefully dis-includes him in his emotional life to an extreme. He is, just like her, avoiding dealing with emotions. They're just both doing it in different toxic ways.
His mother needed extreme validation and was co-dependent on Caleb always being there to enable and pick her up to keep the peace. While Caleb does the extreme in an opposite direction, making Philip not feel needed at all.
Oh! And, her mother (their grandmother) is the author of the Asura novels. The royalties of the series went to their mother. But because she was a non-functioning alcoholic, who required her tween-son to pick up her slack as a rock in the household, she felt that the best thing she could do in the times of sobriety: was to make sure she didn't spend the money from the books on alcohol and manic shopping sprees to fill her void.
The people she trusted the most were the counsels at the AA meeting at church. She trusted them. And she shouldn't have.
Basically, they didn't get to transfer the ownership to themselves, but they get to be the fence that says yes-or-no to her on what she wants to spend money on. Groceries? yes. Booze? no.
But Caleb never knew about that. And when she died, they still held the cards and access to the money. Even if it wasn't legally theirs. It was now Caleb's.
So, for as long as Caleb needed their support, they would still be able to act as the confidant-fencer. If Caleb never asked for the access back, they didn't technically have to give it over. And they could make anonymous donations to the church, which they did on the anniversary or Mrs.Wittebane's death, since she was "such a devoted member."
So a huge reason why they enabled Caleb's panic over stepping up into an adult role as a teen, was so that they could still act as mentors to him. And thus they could still hold the money for him. Without ever giving him any - after all, he'd have to ask for it himself. And he didn't know he could. And was too proud and insecure to ask for help, since he just.. Doesn't want to bother anybody.
They never called CPS on the brothers being a teenager-caring-for-a-kid situation, they covered for him. He was the golden goose, basically. And has no idea that's why any of them care at all.
He's being manipulated into believing that if he leaves them, bad things will happen. He will lose Philip and become homeless, or arrested for child neglect. But they're totally being soooo nice for not telling on him, so he owes them now, y'know? They've lied for him.
I don't like writing fallen characters and make them out to be villains. I know real life is complicated. I'll say Mrs.Wittebane isn't a bad person, she's a broken woman who was an awful mother. But it's more so a tragedy of a situation than a point-at-someone as the cause of bad things going from bad to worse.
Real life situations are complicated and has an affect/effect on people involved. You can do everything right and things still go wrong, or everything wrong and it goes right.
She's not bad for trying to do the right thing and put the finances in someone elses hands. It's just unfortunate she trusted the wrong person with doing the right thing.
And Caleb isn't wrong for not wanting to involve Philip in all these adult troubles; it's too late for him to have a normal life, but he wants to give Philip a somewhat ordinary one. But because he's so vulnerable, and unwilling to get help from the right people, he's created a new situation.
Some things are outside a person's control. It's difficult to climb outside yourself and look at it all from a third point-of-view and be non-judgementally self-critical over where you are, how you got there, and what needs to be done about it.
Caleb is too caught up in the rush of the stress of it all, that he's blinded of what the situation is becoming.
Philip isn't a 1660s witch hunter. He's more of a... Put Dipper Pines and King Clawthorne in a soup and there you go. That's the 14 year old Philip Wittebane in modern AU.
In this version, Mrs.Wittebane didn't die when Philip was one, but more like... five years old? So he has very vague memories of her. And Caleb, who wanted to give his brother normalcy, only ever spoke nicely of her.
So Philip doesn't understand why her bedroom has a curtain in front of the door.
It's just one of those things that you get so used to you never question it. You're not supposed to go into her bedroom, and he just didn't. He's been in there maybe once or twice but was too scared to disturb anything that he didn't really investigate further. And Caleb is very careful about not messing the room up.
People deal with grief differently.
And the Wittebanes (in my opinion) has a tendency to get stuck in either preservation or escapism. If Belos in canon is anything to go by, he's doing both. Trying to preserve an idea of something by creating a fantasy to live in like it's reality.
in modern AU, I split it up between the brothers.
Caleb lives in silence and preservation. Philip lives in the idea of their parents and their legacy.
Caleb would let it slip that they grew up with very different parents. Which is often the case with siblings in chaotic households. Different ages, different roles in the family dynamic, etc. You get the version of your parents they felt you should have.
Caleb was the fixer, the oldest son, forced into a man-of-the-house role at twelve. Philip was the toddler she could cuddle and be affectionate with to feel like a good mum when she was sober.
Caleb knows there is volumes and shades to their mother. He has all the knowledge of how complicated and complex she was. He knows why she was how she was, did what she did, and feels bad for being robbed and wronged. His empathy won't let him be mad at her, but he is mad. And he's scared he's just like her, because she couldn't hold her emotions - he can't either. She taught him two ways to cope with being robbed: Pour it out on someone like toxic waste, or keep it in and suffocate on it.
And in an environment where boys having emotions other than anger and happiness isn't great either. If he raises his voice, or tells someone not to hurt him, he's called toxic masculine. If he's sad, he's called a whimp.
Of course he beats the shit out of trees with a bat. What else can you do? And thinks that anger makes him a bad person. Thinks that means he's capable of hurting people. Thinks that if he's sad and gets comfort, that's just him being like his mum - weighing someone else down.
What else do you do then?
He's just a bundle of unchecked anxiety and depression.
He has seen his mum snap. When it's too much and things start to break. How she would claw at the house and throw the decor down. Like the house itself was a prison of memories she cant escape. She wanted to escape the grief and couldn't let it go at the same time.
She can't move - all her memories are still here. Moving or changing anything means accepting things have changed.
Gravesfield's symbol is a bird with stretched out wings, open beak in a scream, inside a cage. This is grief that can't let go.
And she had enough. Because just like Caleb, she had no good outlets either. No real support system. She thought that the best thing she could do for her sons was to not be responsible for them anymore. But without them, she had no reason to be around any more, either.
And same is true for Caleb. He was introctrinated as a child by his mum to be the caretaker. And that was all he knew, so he kept doing it. He has given too much of himself into this that it's all he thinks he's worth.
Living for someone else isn't the answer. But Caleb just got stuck on that line to a point where it no longer was his active choice, it was just something thathad become his life because it had to be, and hes not even sure why it had to be.
it just is.
And if Philp's dad wants custody, Caleb is too scared to find out what's left for him. Is he free? is everything going to fall apart like it did for his mum? He doesn't want to become her.
Maybe she was right.
Maybe disappearing is better than facing what's to come.
And maybe he would've successfully done so too, had Evelyn Clawthorne ot become a friend that gave him perspective. Gave him life back.
He doesn't live for her instead. I am always picky on pointing out she isn't fixing him. She's not his pixie dream girl. She's an annoying new friend who he can't get rid off and starts to appreciate because she's giving him something he's never had before.
Himself.
Yes, sometimes you do everything right and it goes wrong. Like trusting the wrong person. But sometimes, things goes right because you trust the right person, too.
It's a gamble. You just have to hope that, now and then; taking a chance is a winner.
Caleb always had to be someone, and never himself. With Evelyn, he's just.. Caleb. And she likes Caleb. And it comes naturally. And it's nice. And maybe there is more to him, maybe he can be okay. Maybe things can work out.
You choose yourself.
And it's nice when there's people around who make it easy for you to do that. :)

I absolutely adore the "Eda is Howl and Raine is Sophie" AU (and am sharing links to art and fics at the bottom of this post because they're all so good!). But may I suggest - that's what the story looks like from Raine's point of view. From Eda's point of view, it looks like this:
Tumblr media
Update: here's the coloured version:
Reference, further thoughts and links to other fanworks under cut!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just look at Raine Rizzpers. They're this handsome, dashing, incredibly powerful magician who wears a dangly earring and a glorious off-the-shoulder coat.
Imagine:
- Eda has to hide from coven scouts and Raine uses their magic to whisk her away. Of course where Sophie is initially terrified of walking in the sky Eda is immediately delighted and laughs instead of yelping. And Raine literally does the same "soldiers/scouts turn away and march away" magic in the BATTs intro as Howl does in the movie intro, right? Same magic! So Raine and Eda have a lovely time together (longer than Howl and Sophie, maybe even the whole day?) because they form an immediate  connection, just like in "Them's the breaks, kid".
- Then Eda gets cursed, which makes her age prematurely and run away from home. She finds an old house in the wilderness. Unlike in TOH canon, the house is inhabited not only by Hootcifer but also occasionally by Raine. (Or maybe the house is not the Owl House but the BATTs headquarters, and the 3 BATTs are the equivalent of Calcifer, Markl abd Heen?)
- either way Raine going on BATT missions, disguised as a bat, is the equivalent of Howl going to war in bird form.
- unfortunately Raine doesn't seem to recognise her. She thinks it's because of her curse, but finds out that Raine's heart and memories seemingly have been locked away (Terra's potion).
- since Eda lost her magic to the curse, now Raine is the only magician in this relationship. But even without her magic Eda refuses to leave. She just kind of aggressively adopts Raine, citing old woman privilege, because of course she's immediately worried about the effects of the curse on the person she met that day and couldn't forget since.
- some kind of confrontation between Eda and Terra (madam Suleiman equivalent). Raine was going to go themself, unlike Howl, but Eda somehow preempted them and went instead of them, using an illusion to look like Raine, just like in canon! And then Terra sees through the illusion and everything falls apart but in the end they still find each other...🥺
*Slaps AU* This baby can fit SO MUCH mutual pining in it!
The reason why I love Raeda so much is that both of them are the Howl and the Sophie in this relationship.

Welp, I finished the first poll choice...
Summaries:
SDMI/FNAF: Based on this post, the gang is hired to investigate the rumors of a bunny animatronic ghost overnight. The truth is a little more tricky.
LMK: Tangled AU where Long Xiaojiao has been kept locked in a tower under the watchful eye of her “uncle” and “the Lady”, only desiring to get out and see the world, especially lanterns that appear on her birthday. However, things change when Qi Xiaotian, heir to Sun Wukong, comes looking for the missing piece of the Samadhi fire.
Scooby Doo, my incarnation: The first part of Episode 1, when trying to leave their hometown of Crystal Cove to start their second year of college, the Mystery Gang finds themselves trapped in Crystal Cove.
Poppy Playtime: The moment that the angel steps into the factory, every toy knows. Dogday, down below, hopes.
Set sometime before Agony of a Witch, Raine Whispers is sent to the weekly Coven Head meeting- which is basically just an excuse to hang out at a bar and bitch. They meet up again with Lilith, drinks are drunk, and Lilith ends up drunkenly confessing the truth about Eda’s curse to a less drunk Raine.
LMK/PP: Due to a misread address, a missent letter, and some poor decisions, Qi Xiaotian finds himself trapped in the depths of the Playtime Co. factory. But he’s not gonna let DogDay be stuck too.
@draw-of-the-moon's LMK/Ninjago AU: When Red mysteriously disappears, Long Xiaojiao and pregnant Qi Xiaotian have to beat back suitors.
LMK: The Traffic Light Trio, Sun Wukong, and Macaque are cursed to tell the truth. Harsh stuff comes out.
LMK: AU inspired by the King Thrushbeard fairytale, where Red Son refuses all suitors until his father decides to marry him off to the next peasant who walks through the door. Except Qi Xiaotian isn’t royalty, but very kind.
TMNT, my incarnation: April O'Neil makes a new friend when staying up late studying at the public library
TMNT, my incarnation: Related to 10, but the entire first episode. When the turtles make and suddenly lose a new human friend, the four turtles (and Casey) find themselves in a hidden city.
@draw-of-the-moon’s LMK/Ninjago AU: In a daring mission to rescue their baby sibs from the underworld and Samukai, Nya and Kai both find themselves lost in the outer regions of the underworld. A lone wanderer named Azure offers to help guide them.

prompt 102 with hunter pranking willow?
Prompt 102 - “You are so going to regret that!”
A/N: i literally love huntlow so much ugh here’s him being a very dumb flirt with plant queen
...
Hunched over in the Noceda garden, Willow finds herself more content than she has been in a long time. It also helps that Hunter is out here with her, though he’s gone to fetch some more tools from the back shed. She smiles to herself as she awaits his quick return. They’ve been getting to spend a lot more time together since being stuck in the human realm.
“Hey Willow?” Hunter calls out, not far off now.
“Yeah?” She says without turning around.
“I think it’s starting to rain again!” He says. Suddenly she’s being sprinkled with hose water as Hunter shoots some into the air above her, it falls like rain, making her jump.
“Ahhh! Ha haa!” Willow shrieks, starting to laugh. She dodges to the side but the ‘rain’ follows her. Hunter is grinning as she yelps out another laugh and then starts directly toward him. “You are so going to regret that!”
Hunter grins and speeds back toward the house, laughing as Willow bolts right after him.
As he goes to grab for Flapjack, he finds himself tripping over the already shaped staff that has appeared in front of him. Flap shifts back and chirps in amusement as Hunter splashes down into the mud. He gets up onto his elbows just as Willow leaps onto him pressing him into the dirt with a laugh.
“Thanks for the assist, Flapjack!” Willow chuckles, and then her fingers are all over Hunter’s sides, pinching down to his hips.
Hunter squeals this time, kicking and throwing his arms against the ground dramatically. He starts laughing within moments, shaking his head as Willow gets more than enough revenge for the prank he just pulled.
“I-I heheheheehee ‘m sorryhehehe!” Hunter cries.
“Yeah, you’d better be.” Willow giggles, slowing her hands down. She shifts her weight onto her knees and off of him, letting him turn over. They lock eyes for a moment, blushing. She fumbles and stands up quickly. “Heh, don’t try that again.”
Hunter sits up, takes her outstretching hand and gets to his feet, still giggling. “Don’t worry. I’ve learned my lesson.”
“For now.” She gives him a skeptical eyebrow raise before laughing. “Come on, let’s go get cleaned up.”
