Hey. It’s me.

I know for a lot of you holidays might be really tough. Me too. It’s okay, you’re not alone.

I have autism, anxiety, an eating disorder, and I’m not out to my whole family - some of whom are homophobic. Tomorrow I’ll be spending the day with them and it will make me anxious.

Tomorrow, I’ll be here online if anyone needs me. If you’re in crisis, I’ve left some contacts down below for my UK people and a link to a list of worldwide helplines. Use them if you need them. You aren’t disrupting the call centre person’s Christmas. It’s their job and they’d rather you call than struggle alone.

I might not reply immediately, but I’ll be online if you need me. If you’re not celebrating but still need someone, I’m here. I’m going to make a discord chat and also a tumblr chat, which I’ll link below too, for us all to chat in. You’re not alone this Christmas, no matter how alone you feel. You’re going to be okay.

At this point, the WTFock’s teasing of certain clips, use of violent imagery, and decision to not address certain storylines that need to be addressed immediately (suicide ideation, homophobia, hate crimes, etc.) is HARMFUL to its audience. And that’s completely against the message of SKAM...

What sucks most of all is that I feel like they won’t learn any kind of lesson from this. I’m so happy for the success that WTFock has achieved in Belgium and I would never wish for it to fail, but this success means that these careless decisions are being “promoted”. As long as the show is popular, they will choose to make the same harmful choices.

EDIT: Does anyone know if any helplines have been included before/after the clips? I don’t want to outright accuse them of not including these valuable resources, but I honestly can’t remember.

Either way, I’ve posted a master list of helplines for anyone who needs them at any point. Seeking help is not weakness; it is strength.
