Finisajul expozitiei „Painea cea de toate zilele” a gazduit o sedinta extraordinara a Cenaclului Noduri Și Semne, eveniment organizat in intampinarea Zilei Culturii Nationale, cu participarea artistei Andreea Bratucu, Radu Vartolomei (scriitor), Liliana Tofan (artist, curator). Moderatorul evenimentului – scriitorul Adi Secara.

Expoziția a fost deschisă publicului în intervalul 14.12.2022 – 08.01.2023, în timpul programului obișnuit de vizitare miercuri – duminică, în intervalul 09 – 17, la sediul Muzeului de Artă Vizuală din strada Tecuci nr.3 Galați.

Hamas Surrenders

In the attached photo, published this morning by Israeli media, Hamas terrorists captured by Givati soldiers after surrendering are seen, handcuffed and blindfolded under a poster with the following sentence:

فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ

This is the second half of the 14th verse of Surat Al-Ankabot (The Spider Sura) in the Quran, which deals with the story of Noah and the flood and its translation is:

 "... and the flood washed over them for their sins"

A flood in Arabic is "Tofan" توفان.  Hamas chose the name "Tofan Al-Aqsa" - the flood of Al-Aqsa as the name of the war it started on October 7.

The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are three distinctive battlement-like peaks, in the Sexten Dolomites of northeastern Italy. They are one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps. The three peaks, from east to west, are:

Cima Piccola / Kleine Zinne ("little peak")

Cima Grande / Große Zinne ("big peak")

Cima Ovest / Westliche Zinne ("western peak").

The peaks are composed of well-layered dolomites of the Dolomia Principale (Hauptdolomit) formation, Carnian to Rhaetian in age, as are many other groups in the Dolomites (e.g., the Tofane, the Pelmo or the Cinque Torri).

Until 1919 the peaks formed part of the border between Italy and Austria-Hungary. Now they lie on the border between the Italian provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno and still are a part of the linguistic boundary between German-speaking and Italian-speaking majorities. The Cima Grande has an elevation of 2,999 metres (9,839 ft). It stands between the Cima Piccola, at 2,857 metres (9,373 ft), and the Cima Ovest, at 2,973 metres (9,754 ft).

Labourer stoned to death in front of son in Cuttack

A labourer was allegedly thrashed and stoned to death by miscreants in front of his son in Cuttack’s Barang police limits on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Tofan Samal from Kendrapara, was working as a welder for a construction company in the area for the past 12 years.
