So what’s robin’s story in this?

Ah yes Robinwing

Slight tangent: I want to show believable nature in most of the characters. Be realistic in some places and insane in others. I’ve changed Robinwing from being a just bitch. I want to give her flaws but also make her….well…believable.

She came to the guild as a young outsider, half starved and injured from a fight with a fox. Pineheart allowed her aid and offered her a life in the guild and she accepted.

One wouldn’t be able to recognize her from those days, where she was a shy and nervous cat who was willing to prove herself to the cat she is now.

She was given Nettlewhisker as a mentor and their relationship was like a fire to a tree. Nettlewhisker didn’t want a filthy outsider in his guild and felt insulted that he was given Robinpaw as a cadet. Robinpaw was well angry, she felt herself going in circles to please her mentor but every time she tried, his standards rose, she was repeatedly denied her full name due to this. She was a full grown adult and Nettlewhisker had her running laps.

It seemed to change with Fuzzypelt, a quiet but kind-hearted cat. He had his mother Hollyclaw go to Pineheart about what was happening and the next day, Nettlewhisker was barred from mentoring ever again and she was named Robinwing by dusk.

It was a slow burn of sorts. Robinwing didn’t trust easy to begin with, it was cracked more due to Nettlewhisker but Fuzzypelt was persistent and worked his way into her affections.

They weren’t actually mates (Robin is aro) but they were more than that and it was fine for them.

Robinwing wanted to be the best and help her guild anyway she can, ready to speak her mind no matter what, she wanted to be more than just an outsider a shamed Commander took in and Fuzzypelt supported her,. They had their first kit, Maplewhisker, their pride and joy. It was calm for the family, it seemed fine.

Then, the Second Splintered famine happened. Maplewhisker seemed to follow her moms paws steps in being devoted to guild, at the cost of her health. Robinwing and Fuzzypelt like a couple of others had another litter during this time, four kits, one was dead by dawn and another died a couple days later. Against their better judgement, they had another litter shortly after, already prepared to lose some but worked their best so some would live.

She ends up repeating behaviors that Nettlewhisker used on her and passed it onto her kits.

Robinwing feels like a failure to herself and her kits, she pushes herself hard to make up for it and passes this on to her kits in varying degrees. It’s unintentional but she’s the most lenient on Cherrypaw, it’s mostly due to her resemblance to Maplewhisker.

Chestnutpaw and Thrasherpaw end up pitted against each other with Robinwing coming off as cold and critical which only fuels them.

She doesn’t hate Ravenpaw or dislike him, she just wants him to be better, to be strong, because if he isn’t, the guild will eat him alive like they did her.
