Another great interview with Todd Harthan. It’s very similar to the one previously posted, but also has some different stuff in it as well. Another great read.

Conrad and Nic have been in a really good place — is that going to continue? Todd Harthan: I think the fun part of this show is that right when our audience gets comfortable and leans back in their seat, we give them a reason to lean forward and get nervous. 1

They’ve been in a happy and pretty good place without any drama for a bit. In any real relationship, it’s unrealistic that there aren’t going to be rocky times, and I think that people are probably going to have to hold on pretty tight in the back half. We’re injecting some personal and family issues into both of their ives in the back half and that can cause complications in your personal realtionship as well. 2

A lot is going to get thrown at them in the back half, and it just comes down to whether or not their relationship is truly in a healthy enough place to survive all of these obstacles that these two have to face. 3

Should I rip my face off now, or later? 

I read this interview this morning and I’ve been oddly calm. Idk, I just—conflict was inevitable, ya know? Anyone who watches TV in abundance knows that, but it sort of depends how much you trust the writers to provide that conflict. And I have no reason to doubt The Resident’s writers when it comes to CoNic on that front. Sure, JP has scarred my television viewing habits for life, but this show isn’t one of hers, a fact I find I need to remind myself of every now and then. 

Am I gonna love every bit of whatever angst they have coming, definitely not. I might even disagree with some of it, but I trust the writers will do it properly. I have no reason to think otherwise at the moment. PERO OOF, I KNEW THIS FIRST HALF WAS GOING TOO GOOD. On that note though, a whole half of a season with no conflict whatsoever is so refreshing to me. And I hope they keep that going and provide the differences and conflict without splitting them up.

Berserk (aka Untitled Hollywood Hills Project)

In this thriller, James stars as "Officer Duane", one of only four characters making up the cast in the movie.

The feature was co-written and directed by Rhys Wakefield, who previously starred in The Purge (written and directed by James DeMonaco, who James and Todd Harthan wrote Skinwalkers with).

“Best described as Less Than Zero in a house in the hills, the film follows two young men who make the realization that neither of them ever has felt true fear��. “So over Halloween night, they set out to trick each other into feeling it. Of course things go awry and an accidental murder occurs.” (x,x)

Besides James, the film stars Wakefield, Nick Cannon and Nora Arnezeder.

In this interview, James talks a bit about the movie’s production: “I did a little movie called the Untitled Hollywood Hills Project on purpose, the way that some scripts go out without titles, that’s actually the title of the movie. It’s a strange little thriller, tiny little budget, made, written, and directed by a young actor named Rhys Wakefield, probably best known for his creepy role as the kid outside the door in the first The Purge. Nick Cannon is also in the movie, and it’s sort of an indictment of Hollywood and how ridiculous it is to try to get a movie made. It was interesting.“

- They are back on set to tape season 4, and along with it comes strict new protocols to prevent a COVID-19 outbreak on set. Things like 3x per week testing for cast and crew and wearing shields and masks. We do wonder though, what will this new season look like with these protocols in place?

- Conrad Ricamora from How to Get Away with Murder is cast in a recurring role as Dr. Jake Wong, a gay plastic surgeon who is also an amateur musician. Oh, and Bell's former step son. What will this new character bring to the show? We're glad to see more LGBTQ representation. We're also wondering what this will bring to Bell's background. Also, is adding another new character too much?

       - AJ, Mina, Bell and Kit reattach the limbs and save the man's life bringing about emotions for Kit to reach out to her own children and grandchild.

- Bell, Grayson and Grayson's mother

       - We meet Grayson for the first time and along with it he pimps out his mother for a date with Bell. Only Bell has no clue of the connection until after he had slept with her. We also discuss some of the BTS provided to us from Radek and Bruce about this episode. Also, why are you watching porn on the job, Bell? And why does Grayson know the server blocks it?
