Many of us have taken an adventurous expedition to check out some local, notorious spot to see if we could witness or sense some evidence of a past famous or infamous incident.  Most of the time, one only returns with a minor anecdote or pictures of an ordinary location bereft of anything noteworthy.  The more realistic purpose is not so much to find a ghoulish memento but to imagine what it must've been like to have been there when it happened.  But what if such an outing starts with strange coincidences and ends with the adventurers enduring a paranormal event seemingly unrelated to the original incident?  This is the sort of tale we'll hear from our good friend, graphic designer, and illustrator Tommy Beaver about the time some friends went to check out the scene of a horrific crime that happened in Summerfield, North Carolina, almost 13 miles northwest of Greensboro.  On June 3, 1985, the incident in question occurred when at the end of a murder spree and police pursuit, Fritz Klenner and his first cousin, lover, and accomplice, Susie Newsome Lynch, ended their standoff detonating a bomb in their Chevrolet Blazer.  Klenner and Lynch had blown themselves up along with Lynch's already deceased two sons who were in the vehicle rather than face arrest.  The site of this shocking finale was what the friends were hoping to explore, but their souvenir was an unsettling experience they'll never forget.  Strangely, a mysterious white horse suddenly appeared to encounter the group, except that this creature may not have been a horse at all.  Many people have claimed to see a spectral white horse, and the ancient Britons believed a sacred white horse was one's ride to the afterlife.  Yet these friends may forever wonder, as will we, what was the connection of this beast to the tragedy if there is one?  And if this wasn't a horse as we know it, what sort of monster haunts the location of one of North Carolina's most ghastly crimes?

[TRANS] 190711 OnlyU-IU China share fun moments they had with IU and her team on the set of Hotel Del Luna

Our staff members double checked the items before the departure with an anxious heart. Fortunately, we were able to reach the set on time despite the heavy traffic. The food truck, tent, tables and banners were all set up when we arrived at the set. Then, it took us another 40 minutes to prepare all the gifts by putting them carefully in each paper bag and stacking them up on the table beside the buffet tent.

Not too long after we were done with the gift preparations, manager Hanteo approached us, gave us his warm greetings before checking out the buffet tent. As the weather was pretty hot, Hanteo jokingly told us that he would ‘drink’ all the (Ghana) chocolates within the gift bag right away. When going through the other gifts, we especially pointed out that the Voluspa aromatherapy candles were for IU Team, so Hanteo thanked us in Mandarin, saying “xie xie!” as well.

He reminded us that since we would have to wait a little longer, so stay away from the sun in some shade. He also passed on the gifts to director Oh, actor Yeo Jin Goo and IU Team. Later, PD told us we could pass the gift to IU in person in a while.

We gave the staff of Hotel Del Luna the gifts we prepared as they passed by from time to time. During dinner time, some staff came to collect their gifts and we got the HDL team PD to pass on the remaining gifts to other busy staff on the set. 

Around 8PM, IU finally appeared in her pony tail, white loose t-shirt and pants. Since the coffee truck was right beside the entrance, so she took lots of proof photos with the help of Hyesun and the new manager (Moon Ji Hwan) first. After greeting us, she expressed her gratitude for the gifts and meal that we prepared, telling us that she would enjoy the meal and asking whether we were hungry as well or not. We still managed to answer her that we were ‘hungry’ though our mind went completely blank at that moment as we were softened by her sweet tender eyes. IU then invited us to join her for dinner.

The HDL team PD also encouraged us to sit beside IU for dinner. Together, we also had Hanteo, Hyeseon and the new manager (Ji Hwan) with us in one table, and thankfully all of them ate a lot. IU seemed to have noticed how nervous we were, so she kept initiating conversation with us. She said, “we (IU Team) are usually quiet whenever we eat, and given the hot weather and packed filming schedules today, so everyone’s still in a daze. Did all of you travel all the way from China? It must have been hard for you guys to be here given the scorching hot weather.” When she was told that some of us would have to catch the early morning flight in a bit, she frowned as pain and sadness clouded her features.

When eating, director Oh came by so IU introduced him to us and we quickly bowed to him. Director Oh was pretty adorable and not all that serious or solemn as he greeted us enthusiastically and expressed his gratitude for our support. He kept the Hotel Del Luna customised towel around his neck all the time, even when he was having his meal.

Seeing how most of them were almost done with eating, we brought out the gifts and explained to them about the Diptyque’s limited edition ‘The Legend of the North’ series’ candles first. IU was touched upon knowing that we chose the candles because it suited Man Wol’s mysterious aura, saying “ah~ because it suits Man Wol!”. She also let out a tiny ‘wow’ when we told her we bought GUCCI’s A Kiss from Violet perfumed oil for her because its violet scented (IU’s favourite). We also let IU have a look at our charity/ donation certificate, telling her that hundreds of Uaenas participated in this donation and some of us visited the institute with some necessities and played with the kids there to which IU replied ‘aigoo’ tsunderely/ proudly and dearly. She also asked about the details and complimented us ‘Hen BBang!’ (so amazing) in Mandarin since one of us personally went to the welfare institute. IU gave us a big thumbs up, saying ‘Zzen Bbang! Xie xie!’ (really amazing! thank you!) when we mentioned about the necessities that we have donated. One of us caught on the right timing of the atmosphere and started applauding, to which IU joined her right away, followed by Hyeseon, Hanteo and all HDL staff from other tables who had no idea of what’s going on. It suddenly turned into an ocean of harmony 😂.

We also told IU about her super topic ‘#IU’ that has accumulated over 10 billion reads on Weibo recently and she was ultimately shocked. Since she’s not familiar with how weibo functions, so we explained to her that the hashtag is sort of a community on weibo where people could leave their posts, comments, votes and screenshots there to support her. She seemed to have grasped on the super topic concept after going through some of our posts in the hashtag section and showed off the milestone achievement to people around her.

We passed the <10 Years of Flower Road> book to IU, sharing with her that C-Uaenas designed, edited and compiled everything about her within this book in celebration of her 10th anniversary. We also tried to find the best printing manufacturer that we could to bring out the best quality of it. As soon as she got the book on hands, she kept gasping in admiration, saying “wow this is truly amazing. This is impressive, OnlyIU’s scale is no joke” as she flipped through the pages slowly. She especially stopped at one of the pages which contained IU Team’s photo, too bad the whole book was written in Chinese so the staff unnie tried to cheer her up by telling her that they could translate right away using mobile apps. All of them joked a few times about looking for someone who knows Mandarin and asked everyone to hurry up and learn the language too.

IU really likes the calligraphy gift that we gave her so she took a special proof shot with it. Since it’s written in Chinese, she asked us about the meaning of the poem. We were still in a daze at that time so we only explained briefly that it’s a poem about the moon. IU said she would try to look for a professional to interpret it.

Note: This is a famous Mid-Autumn lyric written by Sushi(a poet in Song Dynasty) for his brother Zi-you(1039-1112) when the poet was away from the imperial court. According to some commentators, “the palace on high” might allude to the imperial palace and therefore, after reading this lyric, Emperor Song Shen Zong said that Su Shi was loyal.

When IU was giving us her signature as acknowledgement (of the fan support), we noticed that IU’s mandarin pinyin skills were remarkably impressive, she came up with most of the pinyin (as shown in the picture) and kept seeking confirmation from us (just incase she made a mistake). She wanted to write 시원한 여름 (a cool and refreshing summer) so badly because it kind of means “watching horror movies” in Korea too (납량). She wanted to write “we will see each other very soon” so she added “see you soon” in English too. It was obvious that IU urged to write using lots of pinyin but she didn’t have much time since the drama team was rushing to another filming venue already. Nevertheless, she drew a big thumbs up and yummy bowl of rice for us and was eventually made fun by IU Team. They jokingly asked her “what are those?”, making IU shooting daggers at them keke.

The PD came by after that and took the huge IU (with her head facing down) photo away, explaining that he would hang it in the waiting room. We weren’t sure whose waiting room he was referring to since we didn’t dare to question more, so we could only pray and hope earnestly that he’s taking it to IU’s room TT.

Then we sent off the coffee truck & buffet tent owners and bid farewell to the entire crew on the set before leaving. We lost count of how many times we went around the set to bow (give greetings) to make sure we didn’t miss any corner of it.

Despite being short of hands due to some of our members who couldn’t make it last minute, but we are very happy to have completed the fan support, passed IU her gift in person and relayed her greetings and thanks to C-Uaenas safely. One of our students, Nary, spent 14 hours a day attending public and private tutoring classes hoping to pass her National Exam (BacII), which determined her future. Unfortunately, Nary did not make it and now she is working in a factory in Phnom Penh to help repaying her family's debt.

At the national level, about 70% of high students failed at least one STEM subject while 40% failed the exam altogether. The result provided a contrary testament to the effort of stakeholders who have done so many promotional campaigns to generate buzz around STEM education. Clearly, if we are to increase student's STEM competency, promotion alone is not sufficient, more work needs to be done to directly address the education issue, at the learning level.

 Our Solution to the Problem

We spent two months conducting market research, talking and tagging along with students, talking to the teachers, and stakeholders. We learned that students lack the foundation for Math and Science subjects, they lack an on-time assessment tool to measure their competencies in STEM subjects, and a lot of them are last-minute learners, are motivated by only high-stake exams.

In August 2018, we launched Tesdopi, a mobile application for students to diagnose their Learning Competencies from a selection of 3000+ competency-based questions arranged by Grade (10, 11, 12) and Subjects (Math, Physics, and Chemistry) and Topics (i.e. Limit, Derivative, etc for Math). The topics match with the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, yet the questions are developed by using Competency-based methodology. To ensure that our program responds to high school students' needs and speaks their language, in March 2019 we ran two design-thinking workshops with both urban and rural students. Once the content was refined, we've launched the Effective STEM Learning Campaign on Facebook which includes series of videos, live shows, and posters on important topics such as how to learn STEM and have fun, how to choose the right major, and Math and Science Foundation.

Our guest speakers for the live shows include the US and YSEALI alumni. Thanks to the campaign, our monthly reach on Facebook increases to 330k, a 230% up! Also, we've kicked start the Effective STEM Learning workshop roadshow in late May. We've done three workshops in two provinces, which attracted 280 high school students. If you’ve ever moved from one home to another, you know how difficult it can be to get rid of things you’ve owned for years. While digging through your closet, you find an old pair of pants you used to wear all the time despite the growing holes in the knees. But you tell yourself, “Maybe I’ll wear them around the house when it gets warmer” or “I bet the grunge look will come back in style”.

It’s easy to make these kinds of justifications in web design and development, too. You think:

“I’ve used the keyword meta tag for as long as I can remember. What can it hurt to keep doing so?”

Similar to how your clothes may become outdated or your appliances obsolete over time, the same thing happens with design and development trends. Rather than hold onto techniques that no longer serve you and only add more to your workload, it’s a much better idea to clear them out and make way for modern trends that’ll have a greater impact.

10 Popular Design Trends It’s Time to Let Die

When we talk about outdated web design trends, we’re not just talking about ones that have been obsolete for years. We’re also referring to trends and techniques that we know for a fact compromise the user experience and need to go away ASAP.

1. Cheesy Stock Photos

There’s nothing inherently bad about using stock photos. Many clients don’t have the budgets or wherewithal to create their own company photos and stock photos are a viable alternative.

That said, there was a time when “bad” (i.e. super cheesy and unrealistic) stock photos were all the rage. Even today, you’ll find websites that use these kinds of photos because there’s still an assumption that two people shaking hands in a well-lit conference room signals trust. (It doesn’t.)

2. Hero Sliders

Image slider technology was pretty great in its heyday. It allowed web designers to conserve space while displaying a number of promotional offers at once. In addition to sliders often slowing down page speeds, they also have a tendency to slow users down as they distract them from moving onto other parts of a website.

Verizon Wireless, for instance, has a great example of a strong but simple hero image design in 2019:

For the most part, we’ve learned to be more efficient with this space, though there are still some websites that can’t make up their minds about which offer to show above the fold… which only makes it more difficult for visitors to decide next steps. Take the initiative and do it for them with a single hero banner.

3. Autoplay

It’s not common to find websites with background audio, let alone autoplay audio, these days. That said, what you do occasionally find are websites that automatically play videos or ads with audio. Needless to say, this needs to stop. If your video (or audio) players don’t allow your visitors to take control of when they start, change that up now.

4. The 3-Click Rule

Over the years, web designers have looked for ways to decrease friction in the user experience. The three-click rule was meant to be one of the ways to do this. However, according to a recent report from the Nielsen Norman Group, there’s never been any data to back up this claim:

“In fact, a study by Joshua Porter has debunked it; the study showed that user dropoff does not increase when the task involves more than 3 clicks, nor does satisfaction decrease. Limiting interaction cost is indeed important, but the picture is more complicated than simply counting clicks and having a rule of thumb for the maximum number allowed.”

Rather than minimize for minimization’s sake, consider the complexity of the task or funnel you’re designing when determining quantity of steps.

5. (External) Links That Open in the Same Tab

There are a number of reasons to add links to your content: for navigational purposes, promotional purposes, and referential purposes. But when you add a hyperlink to your text, consider the following: Is it okay if the link directs visitors to a page in this same browser tab?

External links, for instance, should always open in a new browser tab. Your goal in designing a website is to get more visitors to convert. Letting an external link replace your website in the open tab will only decrease the chances of that happening. In some cases, internal links shouldn’t be opened in the same tab either. So, be sure to think about this the next time you add a link to your site.

6. Non-Traditional Scrolling

Although we’ve become accustomed to swipe gestures in mobile apps, horizontal and other non-traditional scrolling isn’t something that’s caught on with websites. While it’s definitely a design trend that helped many businesses set themselves apart from the pack a few years back, it’s just too gimmicky to use these days.

Robby Leonardi’s interactive resume website was one of the first I remember seeing and it was a brilliant way to capture attention — especially from those of us who grew up with Mario.

But today? Any sort of non-traditional scrolling is just impractical and unnecessary. Even Robby’s current website has broken up this side-scrolling design and turned it into a vertical-scrolling page:

If you want to keep visitors engaged with your website in this day and age, don’t make them figure out how to scroll through your website. 

7. Keyword Meta Tag

For years (we’re talking nearly a decade), the keyword meta tag has not been supported by popular search engines. Despite knowing that the meta tag is useless, some designers still take the time to add it in. But why bother if it’s an extra step that gets you nothing in return?

8. Bad Pop-ups

Although pop-ups have undergone an evolution over the years — from the super-annoying pop-up ads that appeared outside the browser to the ever-present privacy notices we now see thanks to GDPR. While there is certainly some value in using pop-ups on a website, there are just too many kinds of bad pop-ups that need to disappear.

“Bad” pop-ups are ones that:

Show up too early on a website (like the second someone enters it);

Appear too many times during a single or return visit;

Send users to Facebook Messenger to collect their lead magnet and then bombard them with messages there;

Contain two buttons. Users that accept the offer, get a friendly message. Those that don’t are served up aggressive or shame-inducing language;

Repeat an offer that’s already designed into the website as a promotional banner.

9. Slow-Loading Websites

Mobile websites are notoriously difficult to optimize for speed when compared to their desktop counterparts. Unlike in years past where you could’ve rationalized away speed optimizations for mobile, today, it needs to be a priority with Google’s mobile-first indexing. PWAs are one way to give your mobile site an instant speed boost.

On a related note, by designing a PWA instead of a mobile-responsive website, you’d be able to cater to users with poor or no wi-fi connectivity — a segment that’s often been overlooked in web design.

10. Flash

I cannot believe I’m having to include this last one in 2019, but it seems there are still websites using the Flash Player.

Adobe has already told us that it would be cutting support for Flash next year. Web browsers are starting to remove their support for Flash players as well. And good riddance. Flash has long had issues with security flaws and usability issues.

If you’re trying to hold out on this (or your clients are dragging their feet), keep in mind that this is what visitors will see on many browsers in 2020 and beyond:

Bottom line: If the creator of Flash is pulling support, you need to do the same for any of your websites that still use it.

It’s easy to get wrapped up in what the next big thing is in web design — AR tech, typography trends, color gradients, etc. But what about all of those trends and techniques that have become a habit over the years?

1.       Ubiquitous Learning

Ubiquitous learning is often simply defined as learning anywhere, anytime and is therefore closely associated with mobile technologies. The portability of computers and computing devices has blurred the traditional lines between formal and informal learning. 

Key characteristics of Ubiquitous Learning

According to Chen et al., (2002), the main characteristics of ubiquitous learning are:

Permanency: Learning materials are     always available unless purposely deleted.

Accessibility:  Access from     everywhere as personally required

Immediacy:  Wherever a student     is, he/she can immediately access learning materials.

Interactivity: Online collaboration with     teachers and/or peers (chat/blogs/forums)

Situated instructional     Activities:     Learning in context (on-site).

Adaptability: Getting the right     information at the right place for the right student

Ubiquitous Learning in the Context of Today’s and Tomorrow’s Technology 

1. Mobile Devices: powerful, personal mobile communication, processing and storage devices

Example:

Khan Academy is one of the original players in this brave new world of ubiquitous learning. The founder Salman Khan, who was a Wall Street hedge fund analyst, was posting videos on YouTube to help his cousins learn mathematics to supplement their traditional education. This allowed learners to individualize their learning experience at their own pace.

 2.       Massive Open Online Course (MOOC)

It is a model for delivering learning content online to any person who wants to take a course, with no limit on attendance. 

The word MOOC was coined in 2008 by Dave Cormier, from the University of Prince Edward Island for a course offered by the University of Manitoba, "Connectivism and Connective Knowledge" (knowledge is distributed across a network of connections). There were 25 tuition-paying students from university and 2,300 non-paying students from the general public who took the course online. 

Examples:

a. Treehouse

- It is creating the “classroom from the future” with this superb elearning platform. With gorgeous visuals and remarkably clear sound, Treehouse can help users learn new skills in coding and app development. Treehouse has raised the bar in online learning with high quality, studio produced video lessons hosted by talented in-house trainers.

b. Englishtown

- It is an award winning online English learning platform with interactive courses and real life teachers. They were the first to pioneer a 24/7 teacher-led English course, giving users access to real teachers anytime, anywhere.

c. Google Primer

- It is a new App from Google designed to teach digital marketing basics in a fast, easy to learn environment. Lessons are short and sweet, which is great for busy users who can spare only five minutes here and there. It’s free and available in the Apple and Google Play Stores.

 3. Wearable Technology

A wearable device is a technology that is worn on the human body. This type of device has become a more common part of the tech world as companies have started to evolve more types of devices that are small enough to wear and that include powerful sensor technologies that can collect and deliver information about their surroundings.

Wearable devices are also known as wearable gadgets, wearable technology or simply wearables.

Examples:

a. Smartwatches

-      These are wrist-worn devices that connect to your mobile phone to act as mini-windows onto your digital life. Telling the time is simply an after-thought of these wrist watches; they'll tell you about the notifications of calls, messages and usually email and social media as well.

b. Fitness trackers

-      It comes in all sorts of shapes, sizes and levels of sophistication too. Usually worn on the wrist or clipped to a belt, they're generally bands or watches of some sort which will keep a count of the number of steps you make each day.

4.3D Environment

These are often referred to as virtual reality or interactive 3D and have a figurative appearance. Much like our own world, this type of world allows interaction with other (networked) beings as well as manipulation of objects (Loeffler & Andersen 1994).

Examples:

a. 3D printing, refers to processes used to synthesize a three-dimensional object in which successive layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and are produced from digital model data 3D model or another electronic data source such as an Additive Manufacturing File (AMF) file.

b. 3D film, A three-dimensional stereoscopic film (also known as three-dimensional film, 3D film or S3D film) is a motion picture that enhances the illusion of depth perception, hence adding a third dimension. The most common approach to the production of 3D films is derived from stereoscopic photography. In it, a regular motion picture camera system is used to record the images as seen from two perspectives (or computer-generated imagery generates the two perspectives in post-production), and special projection hardware and/or eyewear are used to limit the visibility of each image in the pair to the viewer's left or right eye only. 3D films are not limited to theatrical releases; television broadcasts and direct-to-video films have also incorporated similar methods, especially since the advent of 3D television and Blu-ray 3D.

For me, among these four trends in media and information Ubiquitous Learning have the most impact or influence to people and to the society because it enables learning anytime and anywhere which people wants. Also, especially for students they can easily use or access everywhere as long as they have devices with them like mobile devices. They can also use it as communication in their teacher by chat, blogs, and forums.

South Africa APPE: #3 Community Outreach Education with Touching Nations

I can’t believe I’m going into my sixth and last week in South Africa! The other day, someone asked me for directions and I was able to help her – I felt like a local! I teased in my last post that I would speak more about what my work days are like while on this rotation. Our preceptor (the pharmacist overseeing us students) has provided us a varied work day schedule so that we can experience multiple areas where pharmacy and pharmacy students can be utilized in a variety of settings. One of these settings has been teaching community outreach programs for a local NGO called Touching Nations.

Touching Nations is a non-profit organization that provides home-based care and services to impoverished and socially challenged communities. The NGO employs community care workers (CCW’s) to carry out their humanitarian efforts by walking door-to-door to address health concerns of individuals in the community. The CCW’s see a variety of cases: stroke patients with limited mobility, newborns, pregnant women, HIV patients, and TB cases among many others.

We spent a few days with Touching Nations and talked with the coordinators and CCW’s who work in Delft to understand the work they do. The conclusion we made after interviewing them were that Touching Nations and the CCW’s have a very, very difficult job. Because sponsorship and donations are the funds that sustain the organization, the CCW’s work with very little resources. They can only go to patient homes by foot, any supplies they need must be able to be carried on their back with backpacks, and there are limited numbers of scales, blood pressure machines, and glucometers, therefore CCW’s can only gauge how a patient is doing by subjective data collection. Delft is a particularly challenging community to work in because of its high unemployment rate leading to poverty, and high crime rate and gang activity; CCW’s would occasionally have to end their work early if the area becomes too dangerous.

The need for Touching Nations is evident as the people of Delft have very limited access to healthcare and education. Residents typically see a physician once every 6 months to a year if any, therefore disease can progress for months without knowing. Residents are also often not adequately counseled on the diseases they have or the medications they are prescribed. As a result, patients will often not take their medication because they do not know what it is for or experience a side effect they were not educated about. More shockingly, patients will occasionally take medications prescribed to their family members or friends if patients notice that their loved ones are having positive outcomes from a medication.

Although coordinators are trained nurses, CCW’s are voluntary workers that may or may not have prior healthcare training and education to address every concern a patient may have. Each coordinator oversees around 30 to 50 CCW’s who each see roughly 5 to 10 patients daily, therefore making it difficult for coordinators to remedy the high volume of problems that may arise each week. We as students saw the need for more healthcare training for the CCW’s so we developed a learning plan to provide basic knowledge about hypertension, a lifestyle disease most of the community experiences. Our goal is, by teaching the CCW’s, they can teach their patients about their health, resulting in a healthier community. We hope that future PharmD students pursuing an international rotation in Cape Town will continue our work and expand on topics to teach about.

Throughout the month of July, we created a hypertension handout to distribute to the CCW’s that describes the causes and complications of high blood pressure, common medications and side effects, lifestyle modifications, and when to contact a coordinator. We also distributed small notebooks to each CCW so that they can paste their handout into the notebook so that it is easy for them to carry around. Our goal is that with every subsequent workshop, they can grow their book of knowledge to bring with them to home visits.

One of the obstacles we faced while preparing for this workshop was explaining in very simple words. We used the term “hypertension” in our first workshop and later realized that some CCW’s were misunderstanding us as saying “depression.” We often caught ourselves speaking too technically and training ourselves to say, “high blood pressure” instead of “hypertension” and “blood sugar” instead of “blood glucose” is still a challenge today. In contrast, the CCW’s helped us better explain co-morbid conditions; one of the CCW’s described that hypertension and diabetes are like “brothers” therefore these two diseases are often associated with each other. Another challenge we faced was teaching about diet as the American diet is very different than the South African diet. Red meat, simple starch, and sugary juice and soda comprise most patients’ diets. Especially in poorer communities such as Delft, access to fresh fruit and vegetables are scarce and access to any food at all can be difficult for many families. In terms of lifestyle changes, we emphasized decreasing unhealthy food and bad habits (i.e. smoking) in slow increments, such as: diluting juice with water and using ½ cup instead of a full cup of oil when preparing meals. We are also thankful to have our preceptor present to clarify a few cultural gaps that came up during our presentation.

We prepared a PowerPoint presentation as a visual aide to better convey our information and to keep the audience engaged. One of the main reasons why patients refuse to take their medications is when their pills look different. Therefore, I went into the pharmacy of Helderberg Hospital – another site that we spend our days – to take pictures of the same drug from various manufacturers to emphasize the importance of reading the label to determine the active ingredient. This was a pivotal teaching point for many; one of the CCW’s later came up to us stating that she was taking Envas for months but had no idea it was enalapril until today. We also created a pre- and post-test to assess knowledge retention and our teaching abilities. Among the two hypertension workshops with two separate groups, percentage of correct answered increased roughly from 40 to 80 percent!
