Oddly enough I finished the second round of editing on #ToCraftANation today. Halloween, full moon, 2020... Seems neat. All but one little mistake in this musical score has been taken care of. I got up to asking myself... "If Gishlan is known for it's forests... and the terrain is similar to my childhood home, which is a seam of cottonwoods on the prairie... I'm at the part of editing that gives me goosebumps. 💘 The part where I get to figure out how to type up sheet music. Every Gishlan book will have someone sing at least one song in it. Because music is my other great love in life I will actually write the song.🎶 This one is giving me goosebumps because I can hear the tribe of Gish belting out their power ballad saying they've had enough over the hills. I'm not sure what I was going through when I wrote this in 2018 but I feel like it's pretty true to life. Do we talk about grief enough? Do we support each other enough? Or do we just sweep it under the rub and keep working? I don't think I can change the world with a quote but I'd like people to think of each other and be kinder. By the way, the main character, Emerald, lost her husband the day after her wedding in the revolution. Well, good news! I finished going through the edits on #ToCraftANation from @jenaniper Now I'm going to start at the top again and go back through. 😵 More to come. I don't have a prospective date on when it will be on shelves yet. But it's still exciting! I realized last night I need to go ahead and copyright #RockAtTheBottomOfTheSea I mean, I can still prove when, where, and how I wrote it. It's got the poor man's copyright, but I like doing things proper. This is where you treating yourself to a subscription to my @patreon would help me.
