Summary: Alden mistakes your relationship with Tobias Fornell for something it is not
Warnings: talks of grief, mentions of Emily Fornell's death, attack by a frame, wound, blood, jealousy, NCIS normal stuff
Author's note: I still think Emily's death was unnecessary but that's another debate. I had to give Tobias love bc damnit, he deserves the world. Based on ep 19x17 'Starting Over'
Permission ~ Alden Parker
Seeing Tobias Fornell walking into the bullpen brought some familiarity that instantly warmed your heart. You rushed to him, arms extended and hugged him pretty tight. "Hi sweetheart," he whispered, kissing the side of your head and returning the hug. He then greeted the rest of the team, included Alden, whom he hasn't seen in a long time. You smiled seeing them being friendly with each other and wished to see more of that.
Tobias started to talk about the victim, whom he sponsored in the grieving group, but it wasn't any help as Tobias thought Thomas was making progress. Eventually, the team got back to their desks to keep investigating while your favorite person said he was going to say hello to Jimmy down in Autopsy.
"Permission to go with?" You asked Alden.
"Um, yeah, sure."
You immediately grabbed Tobias's hand and the two of you walked towards the elevator, unaware that Alden stared until you were out of sight. In the elevator, the former FBI agent pulled you in for another hug. "How are you today, T?" You asked softly.
"I feel like I failed Thomas." He sighed. "But I'm glad to see you. I miss you."
"I miss you too. I'm sorry work has been crazy lately,"
"Hey, hey, don't apologize. I know how it is. I guess I miss having you at home."
After Emily's death, you made the choice to move in with Tobias without asking for his opinion. He was a mess - fairly so - and you didn't like the idea of him being alone. So you had grabbed your essentials, and made yourself at home in his spare bedroom. To be fair, Tobias hadn't had the strength to fight you on this, so he just let you. He even let you when you took a few days off to stay with him, try to get him out of bed even if it was just for a walk around the block. He let you feed him, hug him as he cried, take care of the house. You also took care of Emily's funeral and all the paperwork as Tobias couldn't bring himself to do it. He was dead inside and if it wasn't for you, he probably would've done the irreparable.
"You literally packed my stuff and brought them back to my place." You reminded him.
"Because an amazing woman like you shouldn't be living with her old ass broken friend." He kissed your cheek. "Alden wouldn't understand." He softly smiled.
"We are so not doing this again."
Luckily the elevator's doors opened immediately after.
The case was moving forward, and Tobias stayed around. He clearly wanted to be a part of the case, probably out of guilt and also perhaps he missed working cases. However Alden wasn't giving him anything to do, which makes sense when you think about it - he wasn't a federal agent anymore - but that frustrated you. Seeing your friend walking around the office like a lost puppy hurt.
"I can give T my laptop and he can help me with my research." You offered.
"I said no, Agent L/N." Alden answered firmly. "You're actually coming with me to see this other woman."
You sighed but grabbed your stuff anyways. You kissed Tobias's cheek before leaving, "Sorry I tried." You whispered.
Throughout the elevator ride and the walk to the car, you could feel Alden's frustration. He wasn't speaking to you like he usually is, he wasn't even looking at you. "T could use the distraction." You said, as you got into the car.
"It doesn't have to be our case. He's not an fed anymore and he knew the victim."
"And he feels like he failed the guy! Helping us would actually help him."
"Wow." Alden chuckled dryly.
"What?"
"For years I've heard about this girl who would protect Fornell with her life, go after anyone who went after him. I honestly thought she didn't exist, but boy was I wrong."
"Do you have a problem with my relationship with Tobias?" You asked, slightly offended.
"As long as it doesn't interfere with your work and our cases, I honestly don't care."
You switched from offended to hurt. How stupid were you for thinking that Alden may reciprocate your crush. He clearly wasn't, he couldn't care less about you on a personal level. You stayed silent the rest of the ride, looking at the city through the window. Alden didn't talk either.
The silence treatment didn't stay on for long, as Thomas's other girlfriend threw a frame at Alden's after he told her about his actual wife. You jumped from the couch to check on him. "Alden, hey! You okay? Can you hear me?" He was holding his forehead but you still saw some blood dripping. "Let me see." You gently pulled his hand away and check at the wound. "Yeah you're gonna need some stitches."
The woman was still crying and shouting at you two to get out of her house. For a moment, you consider arresting her for assaulting a federal agent, but Alden simply said 'let's go' and you were walking back to the car.
You started to fish inside his coat pocket. "What are you doing?"
"Looking for the car keys." You checked the other one.
"Pants." He said, leaning against the car. "Tell me you have a tissue or something?"
After looking at him for a second, you shrugged and searches for the keys in his pants pockets. You knew it was highly inappropriate but your hands behind so close to him and his crotch, did something to you. You took a deep breath before opening the car. Once inside, you took your knife and cut a piece of your shirt. "Again, what are you doing?"
"You need some tissue."
"Well yeah but not from your own clothes."
"I don't have anything else, so it's either that or your fancy suit."
He sighed but didn't argue. You pulled his hand away again, and started to clean the blood that dripped out of the wound. You were so gentle, and so close to Alden, it made him uncontrollably blush. When you brushed his hair away, he closed your eyes for a second, enjoying the feeling. "I'm not hurting you?" You asked softly, making his heart go faster.
"N-no. It's okay."
"It's going to be fun for you to explain this scar." You giggled.
"Better than explaining the one I have on my thigh."
When he saw the curiosity on your face and your grin, he regretted every word. "Don't--"
"What happened to your thigh, Alden?" You asked, still grining. "Hold this until you get back to the office."
"I won't tell you."
You settled back into your seat and started to drive. "I can be pretty annoying and stubborn."
"Yeah, I gathered that."
You gave a death stare but a few seconds later, you were both laughing.
You didn't bother going to the bullpen but instead took Alden immediately to Jimmy in Autopsy, where Tobias and Grace were.
"I got an patient for you, Jim!" You announced almost cheerfully.
"Oh wow, what happened to you, Parker?"
Alden sat on the chair Jimmy gave him. "He got attacked by a frame." You told them, after hugging Grace.
"Aaah, those nasty things." Tobias chuckled. You moved close to him, as he was leaning against an autopsy table. You grabbed his arm with yours and leaned your head on his shoulder, and started to tell the full story while Jimmy was patching up Alden. He barely looked at you or Tobias.
Alden really tried to avoid you after that, but it was almost impossible. He hated how you told the story of his wound, not because you were saying it with a smile, but because all he could think about was the after, in the car. He could still smell you from up close, he could still feel your minty breath on his face. He's never been into a friend's girlfriend before and he had no idea what to do. All he knew was how he hated whenever you hug, kissed or touched Tobias, how jealous he felt when he heard you and Tobias making plan for the evening. Clearly you were spending the night at T's place, and he wished it was him. He almost found an excuse to make you stay but realized how petty that was. This case couldn't end fast enough.
The next day, Alden was relieved to see you coming in without Tobias. You stopped at his desk, to grab a pastry and leaned a little to have a closer look at his wound. "It's good you don't have a bruise or anything else. It is hurting?" You asked. He wished you weren't this sweet and thoughtful with him.
"It throbs at times but it's okay. I'll live."
"Good, would be a shame to lose you to a framed picture." You smiled and walked to your own desk.
A minute later, a text popped on his phone. 'What happened to your thigh?' he read. He looked up to you and you were looking all innocent, concentrating on your computer.
'None of your business. Stop thinking about my thigh and get to work.' he answered, and regretted it immediately. Was he flirting with you through texts? God, Tobias was going to give him a matching wound on the other side.
'Can't help it. Is it a big or small scar? Where is it exactly?'
Were you flirting back? Alden's head was exploding. What kind of woman were you to do something like this? And why couldn't stop himself from answering.
'Want me to show you?'
'Bet.'
It was official, Alden Parker was going to hell. But he was happy cause he knew he would take you with him.
It wasn't a Tobias Fornell free day. He showed up in the afternoon to check on the team and the case. Alden agreed for him to have an update, which you happily gave him. Tim and Nick were out of the office to interrogate your other suspect, and Jess was in the lab, checking things with Kasie. So, Tobias simply grabbed a chair and settled next to you. Alden felt extremely uncomfortable, especially when he noticed how your behavior towards his friend was the same. Like there hasn't been some speakable texts between you two earlier. He felt bad for Tobias. The man has been through so much over the years and now this.
At some point, Alden couldn't take it anymore so he excused himself and walked away. Almost immediately, Tobias kissed your cheek and said he'd be right back. "Fornell, don't do whatever I feel like you're gonna do!" You exclaimed.
"I love you." He mouthed and disappeared at the same corner Alden did. You sighed and your heart started to race.
When Alden saw Tobias coming in the bathroom, he expected to be punch soon enough. Should he prepared himself to duck or should he let Fornell hit him? After all, he did deserve that punch and maybe more. But Tobias was smiling.
"You okay, Fornell?"
"Are you?"
"I-huh? Yeah?"
"How long are you going to beat around the bush, Parker?"
"Um, what? What are you talking about?"
"I know that Gibbs had the rule 12 about dating a coworker. And Y/N learned the job through his rules, but come on. This one has been broken many times, even by Gibbs himself."
"Look Tobias, I'm sorry, okay? I know I shouldn't be interested your girlfriend, and it'll go away. I promise you, nothing--" Alden stopped when he heard a laugh coming from Tobias.
"Wait, you think she's my girl?"
"She's not?" Alden exclaimed, a bit to intensely.
"Okay, let's go get a coffee."
In the breakroom, they sat at a table, cups of coffee in front of them. "I'm gonna be honest, if my life has been different and if I was significantly younger, she would have a ring around her finger and I'd have kicked your ass." Tobias started.
"Fair enough."
"My relationship with her is--special, to say the least. A while ago, she named us 'platonic soulmates' and I guess it fits." Alden nodded. "And if you want to date her, you're gonna have to be okay with that."
"Obviously." Alden chuckled. "Clearly if she had to choose, it'd be you." He took a sip of his coffee. "But even though I'm slightly younger than you, I'm still much older than her."
"And does it seem like something she would mind?" Alden shook his head no after a few seconds. "Look man, you will not be able to help a better partner than her. We're talking about someone who moved in with me after my daughter passed away to support me. She even used her vacation time for that. She handled everything for me, even though she was hurt too cause she knew Emily for almost ten years. I literally had to move her out of my place, and honestly, I only did after she told she had a crush on you."
Alden was extremely moved by what he was hearing. He knew you were someone very special, someone who would give and do everything for the ones she loves, but this was another level. It made him fall for you even more.
"I don't even know what to say." He answered honestly.
"She deserves to be happy and loved. And as much as I love her, it's a different kind of love. Not the kind of love, I know you can give her."
Alden stayed silent. "However, if you just want to hook up cause she's insanely hot, find someone else."
"That's not the kind of man I am."
"I believe you. But never forget that I still have a gun, and you saw me use it a few times."
The case finally came to an end, and you were all very happy and relieved. Alden has been distant from you since his conversation with Tobias and T refused to tell you what they talked about. It was driving you crazy, and even making you feel uncomfortable whenever your team leader was around. What did he know? What did he think?
After coming back from the lab to the bullpen, you were surprised to see everyone was gone except for Alden, who was still typing at his computer. "Where's everyone?" You asked, avoiding looking at him.
"I sent them home."
"Oh, okay."
You started to work on your paperwork again before Alden spoke up again. "You can go too. Tobias is probably waiting for you."
This time, you did look at Alden who was still focus on his screen. "Wait, what do you think my relationship with Toby is exactly?"
Alden finally stopped typing and looked up to you. "What is your relationship with Tobias exactly?" He asked.
You sighed. This was taking you back a few years back when the guy you were dating was getting jealous of Tobias, accusing you of having an affair with him, being in love with him. And you hated that. "Like I said, if you have a problem with--" Alden stood up from his chair and walked over to your desk. He leaned against it, his body fairly close to you.
"I don't have any problem with it. It's obvious that if I want to have you, I need to accept him."
You looked at him, all lost and confused. "Wait--what? What do you--? What?"
Chuckling, Alden crotched down and made you chair spin so you were facing him. "Would you allow me to take you on a date? I've got Tobias's permission." He said with a huge smile.
You stayed silent for a moment, mouth opened. "Are you serious, right now?"
He stood up just enough so that he could grab your chin and gently pressed his lips against the corner of your mouth. You melted under his touch. "Very serious."
"Will you show me your thigh and tell me the story?" You whispered making him laugh.

Friendly Lies
A/N: This is my first post/story, I’ve written before on Wattpad but never committed to writing but I feel like this is something I can actually commit too. Let me know any NCIS requests and I’m hoping to open up my writing to other fandoms soon too. This is definitely a testament to my ability to yap. Apologies for any mistakes :)
Also, I know the timelines probably don’t match up in terms of Gibbs knowing Tobias etc and Tobias having another daughter, or maybe they do, I don’t know but I thought it was a fun idea so belief will just have to be suspended. ;)
NCIS y/n fanfic, slight y/n x tony dinozzo, tony dinozzo x reader
Word count: 1969
Summary: Fornell’s daughter, Gibbs' Goddaughter, is an FBI agent working a case with her father and Godfather and decides to help get her dad to leave McGee alone after he found him asleep on the sofa with his ex-wife (I loved that episode so much) at Tony’s expense.
____________________________________________
You’d only known Tim, Tony and Ziva for a few weeks but already you knew you’d be great friends. After only knowing them for 5 minutes the day you ended up sharing a case with both your father and godfather, you were making plans to hang out with them. Your godfather, or your Uncle Gibbs as you preferred to call him, was of course more than happy to see you and be working with you, although the protective dad act from the NCIS and FBI agents had driven you slightly insane. Although you loved the rare times when you and your father shared an FBI case, that time had made you nearly want to quit, which had driven you straight to Gibbs’ team, who were more than welcoming and friendly to you.
Now, you sat on Ziva’s desk, chatting to her and McGee while your father and godfather interrogated a suspect and Tony watched.
‘And that’s why your dad hates me’, concluded McGee after explaining to you what he described as the ‘incident’ between your dad and his ex-wife Diane. Both you and Ziva had been laughing the entire time he told the story.
‘I’m sure he doesn’t hate you, Tim’, you smiled at him ‘he’s only mentioned it a few times.’
‘A few?’ Tim asked in horror, causing Ziva to snort in laughter. This topic had taken up a good 20 minutes and it had clearly been playing on his mind for a long time before that.
‘Look if you want me to talk to him I can’ you offered, trying to ease Tim’s obvious panic, but your offer only seemed to send McGee into a further state of pure anxiety.
‘No, absolutely not, that would only add to it.’ He spoke moving his chair slightly as it was currently situated next to Ziva’s desk where you were congregated. As Tim moved you gaze shifted to DiNozzo’s desk and an idea popped into your head.
‘McGee, I’m sure y/n’s right, Fornell can’t be holding on to a grudge for that long.’
‘He brings it up every time we see him!’ Tim insisted.
‘Hang on’ you quickly said jumping up from Ziva’s desk and captivating both agent’s attention, ‘I think I know how to get my dad to forget about you and Diane.’
‘First of all there was no me and Diane’ Tim quickly insisted, causing the pair of female agents to roll their eyes as they failed to hold in their laughs ‘But what’s the idea because I will do anything to make him stop bringing it up?’. Both agents’ gazes were fixed on you as you moved from Ziva’s desk to sit on Tonys.
‘Oh you wouldn’t have to do anything McGee, it would be all me’, you smirked as the two agents watched eagerly, ‘this isn’t entirely selfless though, remember when Tony told Gibbs and my dad that I’d been sleeping with an NCIS agent to try and piss them off? And it took me weeks to convince them he was just trying to mess with me and them?’, the two NCIS agents nodded, smirks growing on their faces as they pieced together what you were planning to do, ‘well I think it’s time I get Tony back for that, don’t you?’.
Just as you said this your father and Gibbs reappeared into the room and as they did, you got up from Tony’s desk and made a beeline for them, meeting them just in front of Gibbs’ desk.
‘Dad, Uncle Gibbs I need to talk to you’ you said, grabbing their attention in the most serious and anxious voice you could muster, grabbing one of their hands in each of yours, ‘I know this is really important and I want to be honest with you both’ you took a deep breath to highlight your nervousness. At this point you had captured your father’s and Godfather’s attention, squeezing their hands as you raised your eyes to meet theirs you finally said, ‘I’m pregnant.’
Now Ziva and Tim were clearly shocked and impressed by your lies, hiding their laughter surprisingly well and instead adorning looks of shock and intrigue. Your father and godfather on the other hand, with hands still held by yours, were looking at you with such pure shock your father had turned slightly white. Before they could even utter a word, you quickly continued, ‘and its Tony’s’.
At this revelation, McGee and Ziva quickly turned so that Gibbs and Fornell couldn’t see the laughter that was daring to burst out. The silence was quickly broken by a synchronised ‘WHAT?’ from the two men who held your hands. Their gazes had turned harsher, but you knew that if you wanted this to have the best effect you had to really milk it.
‘I know we haven’t known each other long’ you stated looking them both in the eyes, but were quickly interrupted by your father half shouting, ‘How did this happen?’, quickly followed by Gibbs’ ‘I’m sorry what?!’
Before you could think of an answer though everyone’s attention was diverted in the sound of a voice, Tony’s voice, ‘hey boss. Fornell. You look like you’ve seen a ghost, what did y/n do? Tell you she’s pregnant? I told you she was sleeping with an NCIS agent.’, as he Tony laughed at his own joke, Tony sauntered towards his desk, but only for a second before Fornell was on him, pinning him to the wall. Tony’s face quickly shifted to panic and confusion, his eyes scanning the room.
‘You got my daughter pregnant!’, Fornell shouted.
‘What? No’ DiNozzo squeaked out as Gibbs removed Fornell from him, freeing him from the wall. You quickly shifted your eyes to where Tim and Ziva were still at Ziva’s desk, attempting to contain their laughter. You knew you didn’t have long before the two of them blew the prank, but you also knew that the damage would be done soon enough and you would have got Tony back and your dad would definitely forget about finding McGee and Diane on the sofa asleep together.
Suddenly Tony rushed over to you seeking some sort of explanation or help but before he could squeak out another word, you grabbed his arm hugging it slightly and turning the pair of you to face Gibbs and Tobias.
‘Me and Tony are in love, dad, you can’t stop our love’ but as you got to the end of your sentence McGee and Ziva had burst into full belly laughter, causing you too to crack and lean on Tony as you couldn’t stop laughing. As the three of you continued to laugh, Gibbs only rolled his eyes at your antics, shaking his head slightly and letting out a slight chuckle. He knew that DiNozzo had told Tobias that you were sleeping with someone at the agency to piss him off and he also knew that your dad had practically become a helicopter parent for a week after he had done so.
As Gibbs moved back towards his desk, you patted tony on the chest before calming yourself enough to say, ‘you should have seen your face’. Quickly, McGee walked behind you both to return to his desk, slapping Tony on the back as he continued to laugh at Tony’s expense. He stopped by your side quickly whispering to you how he was now free from any comments about Diane. Your gaze then shifted to your father who still stood in front of you both, surprisingly quite but glaring at you both.
‘Gotta keep you young dad.’ You smiled at him, kissing his check and moving back to Ziva’s desk, the pair of you still giggling and smiling. Your dad however, kept his gaze on Tony, glowering at him, as Tony seemed to continue to shrink under his glare, still looking stunned and scared. Finally his gaze shifted as Gibbs called him telling him to go down to autopsy to see Abby with him.
At first he didn’t move, continuing to stare, before finally moving when he heard his name shouted by Gibbs. ‘I still don’t trust you DiNozzo.’ Tobias said, finally moving towards Gibbs’ desk, his gaze remaining on Tony until they were out of site.
At this point you, McGee and Ziva all began to laugh again with the same force you did when your dad had pinned Tony to the wall.
‘I did not think you would take it that far’ commented Ziva, ‘I admire your commitment’. You smiled at her amongst the laughter but couldn’t respond as tony too moved towards Ziva’s desk, where McGee had now joined you and began to stare at you all.
‘Not funny guys, I thought I was going to die!’, Tony’s statement only caused more laughter though, as his hand reached his neck, fiddling with his shirt collar even though your father had only grabbed his shoulders. Finally you spoke through the laughter, ‘I told you I was going to get you back Tony and McGee needed by dad to lay off him about the whole thing with my ex stepmother, so really I was just helping a friend’ you smiled a sickly sweet smile at him before the phone at his desk began to ring causing Tony to quickly scurry over to his desk, grabbing the phone before answering.
‘Yes boss?’ he questioned into the phone, as you high fived Tim and Ziva, ‘right away boss’, followed by him quickly grabbing his things after he put down the phone. ‘Gibbs says Abby’s matched the ballistics from the gun, wants me and Y/N to bring in the suspect.’ He stated as he continued to gather his stuff. As you listened, you quickly grabbed your bag that was sat next to Gibbs’ desk, but before you could leave Gibbs and your father returned, arguing as they walked.
‘I’ll go with DiNozzo Gibbs’ your dad argued, his gaze landing on Tony, at which point Tony swallowed.
‘No you’re not’, Gibbs deadpanned.
‘Then, I’ll go with them both’ he stated as he moved towards the pair now standing together with their bags, but not before Gibbs grabbed his shoulder directing him towards the director’s office and repeating ‘No you’re not’.
As you and Tony turned and began to walk towards the elevator, he quickly began to argue with you. ‘You know your dad is going to kill me, right?’ he questioned as you pressed the elevator button, your gaze shifting to him.
‘No he won’t’ you dismissed, ‘but he won’t trust you for a while, just like how he’s been hovering over me for weeks after you told him I was secretly sleeping with someone at your office, or like how he constantly brings up that time he found Diane and McGee together asleep. I guess it’s just time for you to get a taste of what we’ve been putting up with for years now.’ You smirked as the elevator reached your floor and you stepped inside, turning slightly as you watched Tony’s face change from looking like he was about to argue, to just giving up.
‘You know’, he turned to look at you, smirking, fully grasping your attention, ‘if you were to sleep with anyone in this office, I’d be the perfect guy. You’ve already told your dad and although he’ll keep glaring at me and probably wanting to kill me, he’d never suspect that we were actually sleeping together.’ He said, waggling his eyebrows at you as you chuckled, and he reciprocated your laughter.
As the elevator doors, reopened on the ground floor, you turned away from Tony, shaking your head slightly and rolling your eyes , before simply stating, ‘In your dreams DiNozzo’ before walking out of the elevator, not missing Tony’s whispered reply, ‘oh you bet’, before he followed you out to find your suspect.

old college flame
pairing: tony dinozzo x ex-girlfriend!reader
summary: you and tony had dated in college. you were the only serious girlfriend he ever had. after going your separate ways, you got a job working at the FBI, which means you hadn’t seen tony since. until NCIS and the FBI have to collaborate on a case.
word count: 2.3k
“Agent Fornell, is NCIS aware that we are assisting them on this case? You’ve told me how Agent Gibbs doesn’t like other agencies to step on his toes.” You asked your boss.
You both were currently in the elevator, riding up to the NCIS squad room. You had never worked with NCIS in all your years at the agency, and you wanted to know what to expect.
“Yes, Agent Gibbs invited us on to this case.” He informed you.
The elevator doors dinged, and you both stepped out. You followed after Fornell, since he knew his way around NCIS headquarters. “Agent Gibbs, pleasure to work with you again.” Your boss said, walking into a room with four desks.
Gibbs stood up and shook Fornell’s hand. “You must be Agent L/N. Tobias told be about you. You’ve been at the FBI for six years now?” He asked. You nodded, politely, and shook his hand. “Nice to meet you, sir.” You said, simply.
Gibbs gestured behind you. “That’s Special Agent McGee, and this is Ziva David.” He explained. They both came over and shook your hand.
“I read your paper about using satellite images during investigations. I thought it was really interesting.” You told McGee. He was flattered. “I’m actually working on that now trying to analyze images around our crime scene. I can show you, if you like. I could use a second opinion.” He offered.
You quickly nodded and agreed. “Here, let me borrow my colleague’s chair. He won’t mind, he has a thing for beautiful women.” McGee said, wheeling the chair from the empty desk over to his own desk.
You took a seat, and he showed you the screen. “I’ve been looking at this radius between the two crimes because we think the suspect lives in the area.” He explained, pointing at the circles on the map.
“We have an unsolved case from a few years ago that I think might be related.” You said, pulling the file out of your bag and showing it to him.
“It matches the other two crimes, and it took place right around here.” You said, gesturing towards the map.
McGee glanced over the file before typing in the third location. “That narrows our search area down by a lot.” He said, glancing over at Gibbs.
“Up on the screen, McGee,” Gibbs said, gesturing at the tv. From behind you, you heard the elevator doors ding.
“Probie, where’s my chair?” You heard a loud voice ask. The voice sounded familiar to you, but you weren’t sure why.
You turned around to see who was talking. “It’s being borrowed by Agent—” McGee started to say, as you turned around and made eye contact with Tony.
“Y/N,” Tony said, almost at a whisper. He was standing completely still, just staring. You were also frozen in your seat.
“You two know each other?” Gibbs asked, curious as to why you both were just staring at each other.
“College,” you both said at the same time.
You and Tony had dated for two years in college. He was your first real love, and you were his. You broke up because you were moving to different cities. You both preferred having a mutual breakup instead of your relationship deteriorating from doing long distance and ending with a messy breakup.
Gibbs and Fornell both snapped to get you both out of your trances.
“McGee, you and Agent L/N go work with Abby on this map. Tony and Ziva start looking into the cold case.” Gibbs delegated.
You stood up from your seat and walked over to Tony. “Hi,” you said, giving him a soft smile. You handed him the file, and he returned the smile. “It’s nice to see you,” he responded, left just as speechless as you were.
“Right this way,” McGee said, showing you to the elevator. You followed after him, looking back over your shoulder and making eye contact with Tony.
You and McGee stepped into the elevator. “So, you know Tony?” McGee asked you. You nodded your head. “Yeah, you could say that. Or at least I used to,” you told him.
“You two haven’t seen each other since college?” McGee asked, curiously. He had never seen Tony as shaken up as he was when he saw you.
“Yeah, I think so,” you said, as though you didn’t specifically remember the last time you saw Tony.
It was when you brought Tony to the airport. He was leaving for DC. You both knew it’d be the last time you saw each other. It was the only time you’d seen Tony cry. You had a Hallmark-movie emotional kiss.
And you hadn’t seen him since.
You and McGee stepped out of the elevator and walked down a hallway. You both walked into Abby’s lab. Then, you noticed Abby.
She was typing on her computer, facing away from you both. “Hi, Abby.” McGee said as you both entered the room.
“McGee, did you hear? Ziva called me. Something about Tony acting weird around some girl. I was thinking secret ex-girlfriend, but that doesn’t really feel like Tony—” Abby started rambling, before McGee interrupted.
“Abby,” McGee said, loudly. He gave you a look of sympathy. Abby turned around, and her eyes went wide.
“Abby, meet Agent L/N from the FBI,” McGee introduced you.
Abby had a terrified look in her eyes. “See, you might think I was talking about you, but I was actually talking about someone else.” She lied, trying to smooth things over.
“Hey, don’t worry about it. I get it,” you assured her. She looked relieved. The three of you discussed the map for a few minutes, and then McGee got a phone call.
“Boss wants me upstairs,” He said, leaving the lab.
“Hey, I’m sorry about earlier.” Abby apologized again. You gave her a polite smile. “You really don’t have to worry about it. Also, I thought you’d want to know that you were right.” You told her.
Her eyebrows furrowed, and you could tell from her expression that she was confused. “Wait, about what?” She asked you.
“Tony,” you said, simply.
She still looked confused for another minute, and then her eyes lit up. “You’re Tony’s ex-girlfriend? You two actually dated?” Abby asked, excitedly.
You could tell how shocked she was. She ran and grabbed two chairs for you both to sit on. You took a seat, giggling at her excitement.
“So, Tony actually had a girlfriend? Like a serious girlfriend?” She asked you. You nodded your head. “Two years serious,” you replied.
Abby was shocked. She’d never heard Tony talk about a girlfriend. There wasn’t even many girls that he took on second dates. He didn’t even try to seriously date anyone after you.
What you both had was special. Tony knew he’d never be able to replicate that, so he didn’t see a point in trying. That is what led to the long string of one night stands.
Abby’s expression shifted when she saw your disappointment. She was excited to learn Tony had a girlfriend, but reminiscing about your relationship just gave you regrets.
“When you said having a secret ex-girlfriend didn’t sound like Tony, what did you mean?” You asked Abby, curiously. She didn’t know what to say.
“Obviously, I didn’t know Tony in college, but now, I’ve haven’t seen him date anyone serious. It’s a lot of first dates that don’t go anywhere. What you both had must have been really special.” She said, giving you a soft smile.
You sighed, thinking back to your relationship. It was special. You both had the perfect fit, until you didn’t.
“I should probably get back upstairs. I wouldn’t say Fornell is the most patient boss.” You said, standing up from your seat. Abby giggled to herself. “Sounds like Gibbs,” she joked.
“What sounds like Gibbs?” You heard Gibbs as he walked into the room.
“I’m gonna head back upstairs.” You said, quickly walking out of the room. You waited for the elevator. When it dinged, you went to step inside.
You bumped straight into Tony, who was trying to get out of the elevator. You both froze. “Hi, again,” you said, softly.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” he said, scooting to the side to let you get in the elevator.
“I was just getting out.” He said, stepping into the hallway. You watched him as the doors started to close, when he quickly hopped inside the elevator.
He quickly flipped the off switch, turning the lights darker and bringing the elevator to a halt.
“Sorry, I just really needed to talk to you.” He said, turning to face you. You smiled at him, knowing exactly how he felt.
“So you’re working with the FBI now?” He asked, not knowing how to start this conversation. You nodded, giving him an awkward smile.
“Have you, y’know, been doing good?” You asked. Even after all these years, you still cared about him. “Yeah, I’m doing better. What about you? You ever get married?” He asked, remembering how you had talked about your perfect wedding.
You let out half of a laugh. “Nope, not married. Not even close,” you said, honestly. He nodded along, and you knew he felt the same way.
“Trouble finding the right guy?” He asked. He knew he sounded jealous, but you were his first love.
“Nope, I had the right guy. Just the wrong time,” you said, taking a step closer to him. He looked down at the floor. “I’m sorry if I ever hurt you. We tried to stop things from ending messily, but I don’t think it mattered. Having to say goodbye to the person you love the most is always messy.” He said, slowly grabbing one of your hands.
He was nervous, waiting for your permission. You gave him a smile and interlaced your fingers with his.
“You never did anything wrong, Tony. You were perfect. I know we both have regrets about everything, at least I do.” You told him, honestly.
He could hear your hurt in your voice. He wished there was a way to go back and undo all the pain you both had been through.
“Trust me, you are not the only one with regrets. I am always wondering what would have happened if I fought harder for us. Maybe we would have survived long distance, or maybe I should’ve just taken the jump and moved to be with you.” He rambled.
He had never told anyone any of this. He felt so relieved to get it off his chest. “I guess we’ll never know.” You said. You were realizing for the first time that you both were living in the same city now.
Tony went to say something, but stopped himself. “Actually, nevermind. That’s stupid,” he said, dropping your hand and backing up from you. He leaned against the elevator railing, worrying he’d just messed everything up.
He went to flip the on switch, but you grabbed his hand, stopping him. “It’s not stupid. What were you going to say?” You asked him.
He took a deep breath, knowing he could blow everything up with what he was about to say.
“I was just going to say that I never stopped loving you.” He confessed, looking into your eyes with a look that made you melt.
You cupped his face and kissed him. He quickly wrapped his arms around your waist, kissing you back. He spun you around, so your back was pressed up against the wall.
Your hands found their way back into his hair, like they had so many times before. It all still felt natural. He pulled you closer to him. He had missed you for years, and now he felt like he couldn’t breath without you.
He ran his tongue along your bottom lip, causing you to smirk. “God, I have missed you so much,” Tony whispered, pulling out of the kiss.
“Are we giving us a second chance?” You asked him. A giant smile spread on his face. “I have dreamed about having a second chance with you for years.” He said, giving you a quick peck on the cheek.
Suddenly, Tony’s phone started ringing.
“Yeah, Abby, what’s up?” He asked. You heard Abby cheering loudly on the other side. Tony flinched, pulling the phone away from his ear.
“You got the girl back! You both are so cute together.” You heard her say, causing Tony’s cheeks to turn pink.
“Wait a minute. Abby are you spying through the security camera?” He asked, turning to face the camera. You heard the phone beep as she hung up.
You giggled to yourself. “Sounds like Abby is a fan.” You joked. He nodded, knowing what you said was an understatement. “She didn’t know it was you but she always knew I was hung up on someone.” He said, pulling you into a hug.
“We should probably get back before Gibbs and Fornell get suspicious.” You mumbled, into his shirt. You both pulled out of the hug, and he flipped the on switch.
You walked back into the squad room. You both were anticipating that Abby would have told the rest of the team already, but no one seemed to react.
“Boss is on his way up, he wants to talk theories.” McGee informed you both. You both nodded.
Tony grabbed your hand, which caught McGee and Ziva’s attention. They gave each other a quick look from across the room. They were both wondering what was happening.
Tony pulled his chair out for you, letting you sit down. Then, he leaned against the side of his desk.
“So?” McGee asked, looking at Tony.
Tony chuckled at his colleagues’ intrigue and curiosity.
“You may be seeing much more of Agent L/N” Tony said, causing both McGee and Ziva to smile. “We’re happy for you both,” Ziva said, smiling.
McGee walked over to you. “You’ll be needing this. I’m going to need to hear all about how Tony was in college.” McGee said, handing you his card with his phone number.
“We should all get drinks tonight. I’m sure you have lots of stories about Tony.” Ziva suggested. Tony knew he was going to be in for a long night.

Tobias cuddles? 🥺🥺
Alright, I’m convinced…it took a whole lot of twisting my arm to get this…clearly…😂 jokes aside, hope you like it!
Tobias cuddles:
•oh this man. Not only does he give good cuddles, but he has great need for them too! He’s a little touch starved bless him.
•so catch him greeting you every single day with a huge bear hug! And on days when he’s a little tired, or a little low, he’ll linger in your arms, taking strength from your warm hug.
•he’s a little bit like a cat, in that he’d enjoy nothing more than to curl up in your lap and enjoy your attention. I’m sure if you were to scratch gently at his scalp that he’d even start to purr, oh yes, he’s definitely the cat that got the cream in that situation!
•you hardly ever have to ask for a hug from Tobias. He can read on your face when you need some touch and gentle loving. But if you do have to ask you can either just meekly bleat out the single word ‘hug’ or you can hold your arms open without a word and he’ll silently take the hint and slide into your welcoming embrace, returning the love just as ardently.
•so when he can see on your face that you’ve had one hell of a trying day, or that you’re feeling somewhat unwell, he’ll pull you into his arms, tuck your head under his neck and hold you close. His chest is surprisingly strong, and you feel safely enclosed within his arms. He’s warm and radiating peace and comfort. And he grins- though you can’t see it- when you begin to nuzzle into him fully. You go totally limp in his arms, you know he’s able to hold you up! He’s got you.
•he doesn’t mind if you cry, sometimes he cry’s too. Hugs just bring it all out of you. And he’s always got a tissue if you need to dry your eyes! If you do start crying though he’ll hold you closer, he’ll guide your hand between your bodies to rest over the top of his heart so you can feel the steady, reliable beat. The comfort that brings you…it’s untold, but Tobias knows, he’s got you.
•and that is always the meaning of his hugs: he’s got you safe. Whether it’s a fleeting embrace of excitement when you celebrate good news, or a long, much needed, sometimes tearful hug, you can feel his devotion to you. He’s got you.

Fornell and 🎭
hc ask meme
🎭 Jealous HC with Tobias Fornell
tobias is a great agent. he's smart. he's bold. he doesn't take shit from anybody. and deep down past the cynicism and self-deprecation, he's a compassionate and thoughtful man. this does not mean he can't get wildly jealous and overthink everything, because that's what he does best.
he trusts you more than anything. he would lay his life down for you in the blink of an eye. and maybe that fierce, blinding love is what fuels tobias' jealousy. because he's been burned before by past love. he trusts you and that's why he knows it'll hurt like a bitch if you ever decide to wake up and realize that you're too good for his sorry ass.
you will absolutely know when tobias is feeling jealous. he doesn't exactly hide it very well. he gets short with people, scoffs a lot more, spouts some sarcastic comment that really outta earn him a fat lip. he'll try to keep you close to him, or at least, away from the asshole who keeps flirting like an idiot.
and he won't hide it. ask him flat out if he's jealous and tobias would say hell yes. he's not the type to dance around these types of feelings. he'll say something along the lines of "i don't trust that guy, he's bad news," to explain that gut feeling. or something more personal, like "he's looking at you in a way i don't like."
a jealous tobias is him at his worst, i'd say. close-minded, short-tempered, egging on the person who caused his jealous feelings in hopes they would react and make him look like the good guy. he just hates when his insecurities are laid out, plain to see.
reassuring him in a genuine way really helps. when he's like this, tobias won't react well to light teasing or even just a kiss. if it's bad enough, you'd have to sit him down and talk it out - which is absolute torture for him, but in the end, it helps.
and yeah, afterwards, you can kiss him all you want.

When I Look at You
Request: Hi! Could I get a Gibbs x reader where the reader is kidnapped and held hostage for years. When she is finally rescued she goes to surprise Gibbs, who she was engaged to. It appears that he has moved on, but she's mistaken. Requested by: @intheendyouwillalwayskneel A/N: Sorry it took so long to get this to you! I hope you like it! It turned out way longer than I expected, so have a oneshot lol.
Your life had been a living hell for the last three years, never knowing if you were going to make it to the next day or not. When you weren’t being beaten, used, or sold out, you were shoved into a small dark basement with only bread and water, the occasional bone from a chicken with a little bit of meat on it. You tried keeping track of the number of meals he gave you, but you passed out so frequently from exhaustion and pain that you knew you slept for longer than a day at times.
You heard him coming and you hid behind the water heater. You knew it was all for nothing, there wasn’t really anywhere else you could be. He always found you and always gave you a new reason to wish you were dead. The door busted open and you scrunched up tightly, waiting for what was coming. But it never did. The next thing you heard was a soft, gentle female voice. “Y/n y/l/n? FBI. It’s okay, you’re safe now. We’ve got you.” she said, coaxing you out of your hiding spot. You peeked around, eyes full of tears. This had to be another dream. Or a trick...you paused. What if this was a trick? He’d done it before. You whimpered and went back behind the water heater. A man came downstairs, and this time you knew it wasn’t a trick. “T-Tobias?!” You stammered, eyes wide. “My God...y/n...” he said, grunting as you ran into his arms. “Jethro...Jethro, is he...I...he’s...” you couldn’t get the words out, everything seemed blurry, suddenly you collapsed into Fornell’s arms. *************** You woke up in the hospital, Fornell sitting in the chair beside your bed. “Y/n. Good to see you awake finally.” “What...what happened...” “He doesn’t know.” He stated, knowing what you were really concerned about. You nodded quietly, waiting on him to continue. “He doesn’t even know I was still working the case. Better for him in case things...didn’t go well. I figure as soon as they let you go, I’ll drive you up to NCIS. You can surprise him.” “Didn’t think you were the thoughtful type, Tobias,” you said, chuckling a bit, teasing him. He shook his head with a smirk. “You haven’t changed one bit.” He said, walking to the nurses station. You grew quiet, thinking about everything that had happened over the last three years. You knew he was wrong about that. You had changed. You wondered if Jethro had. ***************
Your leg bounced in the passenger seat of Fornell’s car. You were in the Naval Yard, growing more and more worried about what would happen when you walked out of that elevator. You felt sick to your stomach on the ride up. You looked up upon hearing the ding of the elevator doors opening, you were greeted with the bright orange walls that you never thought you’d grow to miss.
You stepped out of the elevator and your heart nearly stopped. You saw the silver hair from all the way across the room, his back to you. He was speaking to a woman, his hand on her shoulder. She said something and he laughed. That sound nearly had you on the floor. Had he...was she...
“Old friend. He’d die before going on a date with her,” Tobias said, making you feel a little bit better. “He never did get over you.” You felt your heart swell and you started toward him. You came within three feet of him, his back still to you, and you took a deep breath. “Jethro...” You saw him tense, he whipped around, those beautiful blue eyes trying to take in the sight of you before him. He blinked a couple times and spoke, his voice cracking in the process. “Y/n?” You barely had a chance to nod before you were in his arms. You gripped his shirt, tears forming in your eyes. Fornell came up and explained everything to him after you two had your moment. “Thank you, Tobias,” Jethro said, never letting go of you. He was cradling the back of your head to his chest. “Gibbs,” you heard Vance coming toward him, but he stopped in his tracks. “Y/n?” He said, surprise in his voice. “Hi, Leon,” you said, not letting go of Jethro. “My God,” he stared, then turned to Fornell, “You found her.” “With the help of my team. But as much as I’d love to stay, I’ve got some things to take care of.” He left after bidding you all goodbye. “Gibbs. Go home.” Vance said, walking away. “Wasn’t gonna stay,” he said, taking you by the hand, leading you to the elevator, a look of surprise and confusion on his team’s face. ************** The ride back to the house was fairly quiet, but it wasn’t a bad kind of quiet. He parked the truck and got you out. You went in and looked around. Nothing had changed. He hadn’t moved a thing that you had put out. Even the things he said he hated. Your eyes welled with tears. “Y/n? What is it?” He asked, taking your hands, sitting with you on the couch. “I was so afraid I’d never get back to you...or that if I did, you...you might have moved on...” you looked at him, eyes taking in every feature of his face. He just shook his head, holding you. “What happened to you...” he asked hesitantly. You paused, hesitating, but very slowly and quietly told him everything from when you were kidnapped up until you were rescued this morning. You looked up at him and saw a mix of anger, sadness, and relief in his eyes. He didn’t say anything, but he didn’t have to. The way he gently cupped your cheeks and pressed his lips against your own said it all.
He pulled away after a bit and got up, going to the wooden box where he kept his rules. He pulled out the engagement ring that he’d given you. You had given it to him for safe keeping while you were on your undercover operation with the FBI a week before you were taken. He came over to you and slipped it back onto your finger. It was much looser now than it had been before from the malnutrition and starvation, but still as beautiful as ever. “That’s back where it belongs now.” “You really...you really still want to marry me? After all this time?” You looked down, ashamed. “After everything he did to me?” He made you look at him, his voice soft and serious. “Nothing could ever make me stop loving you, y/n. When I look at you, I’m happy. When I look at you...” he shook his head, so gentle and soft with you, “I know I’ve found my reason for living.” You hugged him around his neck tightly, and he took you both into the bedroom you shared, and you slept peacefully in his arms for the first time in three years. You were finally home.

Anniversary Surprises
Requested: Nope. Just a rewrite of my Tobias x reader fic.
Warnings: If you squint really hard, there's some hinting at sex..
Plot: You are married to Tobias Fornell and the team doesn't know. One night, you and Tobias are having a rather special night together when it is interrupted by the team.
A/N: "Y/N/N" - your nickname
Previous post
You had been married to Tobias for almost three years, three great years. You have met Emily and she loves you. You both are great friends. Which Tobias loves; his two girls getting along.
You two met because you work at NCIS, you had been working there for four years. He had chased you for over a year, he flirted with you when he and you would work alone together. Gibbs never knew about it; you both never let on that you had feelings for each other.
Tonight actually happens to be your third anniversary. You both are off work and alone with each other. Tobias had made you both a nice, romantic dinner, got you your favorite movie, and got you a surprise present. You were in the middle of dinner, talking about what you wanted for your birthday. You were sitting beside each other at the corner of your dinner table. "I don't care, Toby." You smile and tuck your hair behind your ear. "I just want to spend it here, with you; and not in the office."
He smiles at you and takes your hand, "I would very much like that." After the two of you finish dinner, he takes your hand and walks the two of you to your fireplace, turns on "You and Me" by Lifehouse, and pulls you into him. He kisses your forehead and you lay your head on his chest. "I love you, Y/N. Happy anniversary."
You smile and just sway with him listening to his heartbeat, "I love you, too, Tobias." You look at him and kiss him. "So, I want to have a serious conversation with you." You stop and step away from him. You take a few moments before sitting down.
"Come on, Y/N/N, the suspense is killing me." He says, sitting beside you and taking your hands.
You sigh, "I think I want to try for a baby, Toby. I love Emily; I just want to have a baby of our own."
He smiles at you and kisses your cheek, "Okay. I think I would like to have kids with you; but, you do know with my, uh, age it may not happen."
You nod and reply, "I know. I want to at least try." He nods again and places a finger under your chin and kisses you. You place your hands on his cheeks feeling his beard. That's one of your favorite things about him.
You both jump when the doorbell goes off, "Now, who on earth could that be?" Tobias asks, standing up and walking towards the door. You hear him unlock and open the door. "Gibbs?" You hear him ask, clearly confused.
"Tobias?" You hear Gibbs say, you can almost bet he has his eyebrows raised.
You sigh and walk to the door, "Sir, what's wrong?" You ask, crossing your arms.
"Well, we had a dead naval officer; but, I'm more interested in why Fornell is at your house." Tony says, raising an eyebrow and looking between you and Tobias.
"I, uh. You see." You spudder out before Tobias stops you.
"She's my wife." He states looking right at Gibbs.
"Your wife?!" Gibbs shouts, making you shrink back a little.
"Ain't life grand?" Tobias laughs, wrapping an arm around your waist.
"No, no, no.".Gibbs says, walking into your home. Tony and Tim follow closely in suit.
"Yes, come on in." You say, sarcastically. You look at Ziva as she's the last person to walk in. Tobias walks away to talk to Gibbs.
She places a hand on your shoulder, "Are you happy with him?" She asks, low enough for no one to hear but you.
You nod, "I am. I love him, Ziv. He's so good to me; he takes care of me like no one else has."
She smiles at you and hugs you. "I am so happy for you."
"Thank you."
Gibbs' voice stops the both of you, "You take my ex-wife and now one if my best agents?!"
"She's not changing agencies! She's staying with NCIS." Tobias yells back.
"Men, please." You say, placing your hand on your forehead. "No yelling."
They both look at you and then to each other and nod, "How long?" Gibbs asks, crossing his arms.
"We've been married for three years; but, he has chased me since that first case we worked with the FBI after I started." You reply, looking at Ziva and Tony. "Today actually happens to be our anniversary."
Tim gets a look on his face, "That's why your phone went straight to voicemail."
You nod, "Yeah. I wanted a night alone with him. I had something to discuss with him, as well. Besides," you start out, looking at Gibbs, "the director said that I could have the day off. Which, can I please get back to it?" You ask hopefully.
Gibbs sighs, "Sure; but, be at the office first thing tomorrow morning." He orders, pointing right at you and walking off.
"Of course, sir." You nod as Tobias wraps his arms around you and kisses your cheek.
Gibbs sighs again, "And I don't like this." He says, walking out the door.
Ziva smiles at you again as Tony and Tim follow Gibbs. "I'm happy for you, both." She says, walking out the door and closing it.
"When are her and DiNozzo getting together?" Tobias asks, pulling you closer to him, if it was possible.
You shrug, "I dunno. Hopefully soon, she's so head over heels for him. And he for her." You turn in Tobias' arms and kiss him. "So, babies? Yes?"
"Babies?!" He asks, surprised.
"Okay, baby." You reply, laughing. He nods and grabs your hand running up the stairs to your shared room. It was going to be a long evening.
A/N: This still isn't how I wanted it to go. But, i like it better than before. Requests are open! -Shawnee

NCIS OneShot: Gray Area
Summary: Two men walk into a bar. You are also in that bar. Both men try to show you why one is better than the other. Also, they're drunk. There's a punchline in here somewhere...
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: None, that I can think of...
Notes: Two years later, I finally got around to finishing this.
You adjust the strap on your dress a bit anxiously. You have never been to this bar before, but DiNozzo had suggested it to you when you first joined the team. It’s taken you a full year, but you finally managed to find yourself a free night to yourself amidst the busy nights bringing murderers to justice.
It wasn’t like you were complaining though. You have really come to love the little family you had made at NCIS. Despite DiNozzo’s nosiness, you looked up to him like you would a big brother. And McGee’s timidness had made you adopt a protective aura around him, often serving as a barrier between him and DiNozzo in the numerous squabbles they seem to share. Abby was really welcoming and fun the second you stepped into the building, and she spent every free second of her time asking if you wanted to hang out with her.
You smile, thinking of her as you call the bartender’s attention.
“What will you have?”
“Scotch, neat, please.”
He nods his approval, and you watch him pour the amber liquid into a fancy crystal glass. He slides it on to you, and you pay for it.
Taking a sip, you’re quite impressed with the class of the place. After all, it had been DiNozzo who suggested this place to you, so you felt as though you should have expected a little hint of sleaziness to the place. You feel bad about your apprehensions about the bar, and you chase the feeling away with another sip of Scotch.
Gazing around, you can see that the bar was pretty popular, especially with cops. At least you didn’t need to feel on guard in this place with the amount of trained people in the room . For a moment, you allow yourself to get lost in the chatter of people, the light music playing in the background, the sound of glasses being set back on the table after a couple of sips, the ding of the cash register, the clatter of the ice machine with the clinking of ice into glasses, and the sounds of the bartender taking drink orders.
And then there’s a sound you really didn’t want to hear at the moment.
“I don’t see why we had to come here, Tobias.”
You force yourself not to turn. Instead, you glance at a mirror angled above the bar, and you see your boss, and his friend from the FBI. They walk into the bar and take a seat at a corner booth instead of at the counter like you were.
Much to your relief.
It’s not that you didn’t like your boss. Gibbs seemed like a decent man, and if he came to over to you to talk, you’re sure it would have been fine. He just made you a bit flustered, that’s all. It was just that he was a bit...odd. Gibbs was very private, and you respected that, but in the entire year of working under him, you know next to nothing about him that the team didn’t tell you themselves. On top of that, he was acting off around you lately. And meeting him after work in a bar? That would be a disaster. He wasn’t ever rude to you of course. But you've come to notice that he’d find any excuse to leave the room if it was just the two of you alone. It was almost like he couldn’t stand you.
To distract yourself from that thought, you take another gulp of Scotch and focus on its slow burn down the back of your throat. Should you leave?
No, if you stood up now, you’d be in direct line of sight. It was a miracle that they didn’t see you yet.
Perhaps it was because you were in a dress instead of the usual work clothes you wore. Or maybe your hair seemed a lot different as you had done something different to it this time. Whatever it was, you were glad for the sudden invisibility that seemed to have been granted to you. You’re not close enough to hear their conversations, but you can see waitresses giving them food and drinks over the course of an hour. You order another glass.
You sit there nursing your new Scotch, wondering how your free night turned into this. This waiting game that you never wanted to be part of. It was almost like you were prey, just waiting for the predators to walk by and see if they notice you or not. You sigh and set your glass down.
“[Y/N]?”
You nearly jump out of your skin. In your effort to not be seen, you had forgotten to keep an eye on the mirror, and Gibbs is now standing beside you.
Great.
“Yes, boss!” you blurt out.
“Boss? You make her call you ‘boss’ outside of work?” Fornell’s eyebrow was quirked at his friend.
“I didn’t tell her to call me anything.”
You tilt your head, you can feel your heart rate picking up, but you noticed the smallest slur in their voices. They must have been drinking for the entire hour.
Gibbs turns to you. “I didn’t tell you to call me that, did I?”
You shake your head. “No, sir.”
Fornell gazes at you. “How’ve you been liking working for Gibbs? Heard he can be a bit rough on the newbies.”
You shrug, feeling your ears redden under the men's’ gazes. “He’s a good boss.”
Fornell laughs. “If you say so, but if you’d rather work for someone more interesting, you’re welcome to come work for me.”
Gibbs cuts in before you have a chance to respond. “Ignore him, he’s all talk.”
Fornell looks offended. “I am not.”
Gibbs leans against the bar counter, and you’re completely bewildered by the two men talking more than you’ve heard either of them speak all year. You can smell Bourbon on Gibbs’s breath.
He throws a crumpled up napkin into the trash from where he stood. “Talk is cheap, Tobias, and so are you,” he says off handedly.
Your eyes widen. “Uhm, I think-”
Fornell lets out the smallest growl from deep in his throat. “That’s a lie, [Y/N], don’t listen to him. He’s a liar. You know how I can tell?” You chew the inside of your cheek, unsure if Gibbs would get mad if you responded. Lucky for you, Fornell doesn’t even wait for your response. “I can tell, because his lips are moving.”
Gibbs gives his friend a growl back, and you wonder of you’re in the Twilight Zone. There’s no way this could be happening right now. “I’d back down if I were you, Tobias.” His hand closes around your arm, and you have no idea why.
Fornell’s voice gives away a confidence that should not be there. “Why should I, Jethro?”
“Because you’d be stupid not to.” Gibbs turns to you, voice a bit lower, but not by much. “He’s not completely stupid, but he does have bad luck in thinking,” he says, as if Fornell wasn’t standing a foot away from him. “Lucky for him, stupidity isn’t a crime so he’s free to go.”
Fornell looks outraged. “I’m not stupid. I’m just not stubborn like you. This is who I am, no one said you had to like it!”
“You said that right.”
“Okay!” you cut in. “I think it’s time to go home.”
Fornell turns to you. “Want me to give you a lift home? I have a new car.”
Gibbs scoffs, “That he bought after a divorce.”
What the hell is happening here? You shake your head, pushing both men to the street and hailing a cab. You sit them inside, and force them to tell the driver one of their addresses. You pay the driver in advance and watch until the cab becomes a dot in the horizon.
You pinch the bridge of your nose at this whole surreal night.
Damn, work on Monday is going to be awkward.

You have no idea for how long I've been thinking of this one particular idea, but I just can't get myself to work on it.
Around 2007-2008 (cause why not?), Alden just got separated from his wife and he's temporarily living with his BFF Tobias Fornell, until he finds a new place. But Tobias's sister who just graduated from college comes back to DC and expects to temporarily live with her brother, but the place is already taken. Eventually, they find an agreement; guest room for the sister, and a mattress in the home office for Alden.
All living together, with young Emily coming every other weekends or sometimes during the week (cause the sister negotiates with Diane), a new routine gets installed. But Tobias is away a lot for work while Alden is mainly home, as his cases are in DC. So, most of the times, it's just the sister and Alden Parker.
See where I'm going with this?
I love the idea but I really don't know if I could do a good work with it, take it where I want. It'd be a long process, but my brain cannot be trusted with it lately. Someday, maybe...
(I'm not sure why I'm posting this, I just felt like it)
I need more of Alden Parker fics. Like, I need to READ more of them.
I love to write for him whenever I feel inspired and tbh, he's the character that inspires lately, but sometimes I wish I had more content to read. 😭
Why is he not getting more love??
Anyways, I'm feeling frustrated tonight, in my writing and my reading.

DATES
Gibbs.
Dates were few and far between, with work giving late nighters and paperwork there wasn't much time to have dates. However, Gibbs always made time. A classic date for the two of you would be; either you or him grabbing takeout or him making a steak, both accompanied by a beer.
More often than not you'd spend the night at his. It was nice, even though he was your boss and you were breaking rule 12 but that's something he didn't care about when he was with you. Every now and then hed plant kisses on your neck
It wasn't much but you wish you had more dates like it.
Fornell.
Fornell was a romantic, well, he'd try to be. He'd take you out to a restaurant let you have whatever you want.
You gotta admit it was nice, but you'd rather just relax at home watching TV together and cuddle up in blankets.
But whatever you were doing you enjoyed it because you were in his company and spent all your free time with him
Sloane.
Classic Sloane. Coffee date. She knew when there was a break in the case, normally she'd stand outside MTAC looking down at the bull pen waiting to catch your attention, or she'd come down and linger around until you were done.
DiNozzo.
Fancy Restaurant and a classic film.
The food was nice and you didn't really pay attention to the film. You'd spend the night watching Tony as he explained every detail about the film. Eventually he'd catch you staring and kiss you, then you'd pull him in and that night would turn into a very hot love making session.
McGee.
Gaming and take out. When the case was finally over you and Tim would go home, order whatever take out and play online games together until you lost track of time.
This was great for the two of you. This would help you wind down from a difficult few days.
Torres.
Nick would take you on little restaurant dates. It was nice and very relaxing because the restaurant was small, not many people so it wasn't busy which meant it was quiet.
Then when you got home it was cuddles in bed. Nick may look like a tough guy on the outside but on the inside he's super affectionate and loving, all he wants is cuddles and kisses, all the affection in the world.
Bishop.
Ellie loves food so she will eat anywhere, a small and casual restaurant is what the two of you go for.
Its sweet, you'll hold hands over the table, complement each other and then she'll hold onto your arm as you walk down the streets.
Back home you get settled into your Pyjamas. She wants to watch a horror movie, you dont. So you compromise and watch a horror movie. This is how it goes every time you watch a movie.
Pride.
Dwayne, he loved doing anything for you, you'd have 2 different kind of dates.
1. Wouldn't really be a date. He'd make gumbo for everyone at the office after a hard day then you'd all go out for drinks at the Tru Tone. It was time that was spent together. Normally after the bar had closed you'd be alone cleaning up with Dwayne, you'd glance up at each other and smile and when it was all eventually done he'd come over to you and hold you from behind. Slowly dancing while making his way upstairs to his apartment.
2. If there was no case or it was wrapped up early Dwayne would take you to a small restaurant that he loved and knew the owners. He'd hold your hand, kiss you, give you complements, Dwayne wasn't scared to show how much he loved you. You'd go for a stroll past the water. He'd give you more kisses and more complements. Dwayne treasured you.
LaSalle.
LaSalle was a party man. Any chance of celebration he'd be there.
So when the two of you went on a date it was bar and beers. You two would share a dance to the music and just talk casually together.
It was nice. The two of you together after a long day especially. It wasn't much but you loved chris for it.
Sebastian.
So sebastian is a nerdy agent. You do love him for it. He's comfortable with a film night. Them films actually being conspiracy documentaries.
However it was a good night. Eventually youd fall asleep on him, but he happily wraps his arms around you so you can sleep well.
Sonja.
So sonja is a vegan, it was quite hard for the two of you to eat together but you found a nice vegan restaurant, you tried some of the food. But most of it sonja ate. You compromised with her and you ended up being able to grab a burger on the way home.
Not much of something but to the two of you it was everything.
Gregorio.
Tammy thought dates were slightly overrated. So she suggested the two of you have an 'ice cream date'
It was a fun idea. Watching comedy tv shows and eating icecream until the two of you physically couldn't.
It was fun. It was sickly. It was worth it.
Khoury.
This was your time for you and hannah to dress up, go to a fancy restaurant and just enjoy each others company.
When the date would end, the two of you would end up at her place, PJ's and cuddles on her comfy bed.
The two of you liked to show off but then you also liked to keep it casual.
A/N- So I tried something different. Lemme know what you peeps think. Should I do it again or nah?

Bleed
Sweet! I was hoping for a pretty simple one. The reader is part of gibbs team, and her and Fornell have had been dating for a while. Now granted Gibbs and the reader are close friends, and he has an idea about the two of them but nothing comes of it. That is until she got hurt taking down a suspect.
Tobias loved Y/N hard yet right now watching her getting shot by a suspect from MTAC was like a gun had been placed on his own heart. "Y/N!" He yelled, chucking his headset onto the floor, he raced out of the room with Gibbs looking on.
Jethro had known about Tobias' and Y/N relationship. He watched his agent get along so well with the FBI agent yet he believed it was nothing but a close friendship or possible shared feelings s that neither of them acted on.
"Tobias!" Gibbs yelled as he ran after him. "Tobias! She has been taken to the hospital, let me drive you. You can't drive like this." Jethro said grabbing the man's shoulder. Tobias took a deep breath looking into his eyes, "You're right, just get me there quickly."
The drive to the hospital was long but when he was able to hold Y/N's hand as she laid in the bright white room, it reassured him that she was hurt but going to be okay.

I love writing jealous!Gibbs!! Thank you for your request! This took an unexpected turn, I hope you'll like it! 👀❤️
Warnings: smut, dom!Gibbs, blowjob

Oh, you're jealous
You met Leroy Jethro Gibbs a couple of years ago. You had just started as an FBI Agent, and you were Tobias Fornell's partner. The case with NCIS was your first interagencies encounter, and not on your life would you have thought about meeting the most amazing man.
But you did and you spent the next year hoping something would happen with him. Every time you heard about NCIS through a case, you made sure to be involved. It's only after Diane's wedding with Victor that things finally took the turn you were waiting for.
Tobias had a hard time seeing his ex-wife and mother of his daughter getting married again, especially after he learnt that she had cheated on him with that Victor. After the wedding, you invited him for drinks but he told you he already planned on getting at Gibbs's house and he told you to join.
You did, and by the end of the night, Gibbs and you were making out in his basement while Tobias had passed out upstairs on the couch.
That was a year ago and since then, your relationship with Gibbs has been amazing. Unfortunately, you don't see each other as much as you'd liked to. You're both committed to your jobs and you knew about your boyfriend's past. You don't want to pressure him into anything, it may scare him away.
There are actually good sides of not seeing each other much; when you and Gibbs manage to get together, you just enjoy one another's company and there are no fights. What would you two argue about anyway?
You can't say you and him are clearly dating, since you never used that word and actually, you never talked about what the relationship is and where it's going. Eventually, you'll have the talk, but not for now. You don't want to ruin it by asking it to be serious or planning a future.
Finally, a new joined case came in. Gibbs called Tobias and quickly, you two were driving to the NCIS headquarters.
Of course, Gibbs's team doesn't know anything about whatever is going on between you two. To be fair, Tobias was suspicious, but you - or Gibbs - never told him anything.
When you arrive in the bullpen, you can see Tony DiNozzo's face lighten up. He greets you with a huge smile, clearly avoiding Tobias. "Y/N, it's nice to see you again! This case just became very interesting," he winks at you and you chuckle. Tony has been very flirty with you for the beginning, and if you hadn't had a crush on Gibbs at the very first second, you probably would've hooked up with the Very Special Agent.
"Nice to see you too, Tony. I like working with you, guys," you smile and your eyes finally settle on your 'boyfriend', sitting at his desk, already talking with Tobias. He doesn't greet you at all, instead he just asks his team to do a sit-rep.
As you're staring at the screen and listening to McGee, you can feel Tony's body on your left and Gibbs's on your right. Gibbs's fingers are gently brushing yours and you can feel shivers running down your spin.
"You cold, Y/N?" Tony whispers in your ear. "Want my sweater?" he offers and before he knows it, a hand slaps the back of his head. "I'm just being nice, boss," he complains. Boss doesn't answer.
Tim finishes the sit-rep, and orders are given. Of course, Gibbs asks you to be with him and the two of you are on your way down to Autopsy. As soon as the elevator's doors close, Gibbs's mouth is all over you.
"Hey," he finally greets you.
"Took you long enough," you say between two kisses. He smiles against your mouth, ready to kiss you one more time but the ride is over and the doors open.
After that stop in Autopsy, Ziva tells Gibbs that the BOLO they sent gave results and they need to get going. He tells her to go with Fornell. As you need to check a few things in the FBI database, you settle at an empty desk with your laptop and get into work.
Quickly, you notice someone putting a coffee next to you, "Latte, two sugars, am I right?" Tony asks.
"Wow, no one brings me my coffee at the FBI. I'm gonna need Fornell to steal you," you smile at the Agent.
"I'd rather have you joining us. I'm sure Gibbs would be okay," he says. "Although, if I break rule 12 again, I'm a dead man,"
"Wait!" you think for a moment, "Rule 12 is--never date a coworker, right?" Tony nods. "Very presumptuous of you, Tony DiNozzo," you grin at him.
Not that you enjoy flirting with DiNozzo - even if it feels nice that a handsome man like him is hitting on you - but you can see Gibbs's pissed off face in the corner of your eye and you do enjoy that. "Well," as he's practically sitting on 'your' desk, Tony leans over you and whispers, so no one can hear, "You're pretty, I'm pretty. We can make pretty good things together, don't you think?"
You only have time to softly laugh, since Gibbs got up and headslaps DiNozzo again. "Quit flirting at work, got it, boss,"
You watch Gibbs walking to the elevator while Tony puts his hair back in place, "We'll continue this tonight, if you want to join us? We're celebrating Ziva's citizenship at a bar,"
"I'd love that,"
Gibbs comes back half an hour later with a fresh coffee. You can see on his face he’s clearly pissed but you decide not to do anything about it for now.
* * * * *
The rest of the day went smoothly. There was no big breakthrough in the case, for a moment you thought that the celebration might be canceled. But to everyone’s surprise, Gibbs and Fornell decide to call it a night. “We won’t be able to get anything done before tomorrow morning anyway,” Fornell says.
The NCIS team didn’t need much to start packing their things. As you’re putting your laptop in your bag, Abby, Jimmy and Ducky appear in the bullpen, “Celebration night!” Abby exclaims, “Gibbs, Fornell, you’re joining?”
“What are we celebrating?” Your boss asks.
“Ziva David, being officially a citizen of the United States of America!” Jimmy explains, wrapping his arm around Ziva’s shoulders.
Fornell looks over his shoulder, down to Gibbs. “You going?”
“Pass,”
Then, Fornell puts his eyes on you, “You?”
“Yup, Tony offered me to join. If anyone minds,”
“Of course not!” Abby happily grabs your arm and walks you to the elevator. You don’t have time to give one last look at Gibbs, as you’re all taking off to the bar.
Only Fornell and Gibbs remain in the bullpen. “You sure you don’t want to keep an eye on DiNozzo?” Fornell teases his best friend.
“Fornell, if you want to go, just--leave,”
“Fine, I’ll protect her myself,” he says, “Unless I get too drunk and don’t see them sneaking out to the bathroom,”
Gibbs growls before standing up, “I hate you,”
* * * * *
At the bar, you and the team got into a booth in the back. Of course, Tony made sure to be right next to you and Abby was on your other side. You all ordered your drinks and when the waiter brought them, you toasted, “To Ziva!” everyone says.
You have barely swallowed the first sip of the Champagne when you see Gibbs and Fornell entering the bar. Abby sees them too and calls their names. “I don’t know what you told him, Fornell, but I’m so glad to convince him to come,” Ziva confesses. It really means a lot to her that all of her team - her other family - is here to celebrate.
Even if he joined, Gibbs is being himself and doesn’t talk much with anyone, except some quick exchanges with Ducky. He’s sitting across the table from you, and you can see his eyes darkening as Tony whispers something in your ear that makes you giggle. He drinks his second bourbon in one swallow and goes to the counter to order another one. You excuse yourself to Tony, and join Gibbs.
“You okay?” you ask him, innocently.
“Perfect,” he mutters.
“Wanna spend the night at my place, tonight?” you whisper in his ears, gently nipping his lobe.
“Why don’t you ask DiNozzo?” he answers.
"Oh, you're jealous!" you exclaim with a chuckle, as the bartender puts the glass in front of Gibbs. His hand grips on the glass hard, his knuckles are turning white.
“Why would I be jealous? We’re not dating,”
This sends you off, you bit your bottom lip to avoid shouting in the middle of a bar. You take one deep breath to remain calm and answer, “Of course. I wonder what you’ve been doing for the past year, if not dating,”
Even with the dim light, Gibbs can see your cheeks turning red from anger. He shouldn’t have said this, because obviously, he has strong and deep feelings for you, but he hates to admit that he’s indeed...jealous. “Maybe I’ll indeed ask DiNozzo. Or maybe I’ll ask a stranger. Or--Or maybe, I’ll ask DiNozzo and a stranger,”
You’re about to leave him here when he grabs your wrist, ever so gently. You can see that his face had softened a bit. Then his hand moves from your wrist to your hand and his fingers intertwine with yours. Gibbs starts to walk away, taking you with him. He doesn’t say a word until he reaches his car. He opens the door for you, “Are we really sneaking out?” you ask.
“Just get in,” he orders, along with smack on your ass.
This gesture sends something right down to your core. You smile and get in his truck, shortly followed by him.
The parking lot is dark, the car is only facing trees and bushes. But you don’t have time to overthink what’s going on, as Gibbs’s lips crash on yours. He immediately asks for access with his tongue, which you happily grant him. One of his hands gets under your top, feeling your skin under his fingers. It keeps getting higher, until he cups one of your breasts and squeezes. You moan in his mouth, and your nails scratch on his scalp. He growls at the feeling, and quickly grabs your hips to make you sit on his lap. “You seriously want to do this in the car?” you ask, but it seems obvious as you can feel him getting hard.
“I want you to make yourself forgiven,”
His blue eyes are dark with lust. You know exactly what that means. You haven’t experienced the dominant side of Gibbs yet and god, is it turning you on. You can feel yourself getting soaking wet in your panties. You approach your lips to his to kiss him again but he only lets them brush. “Your mouth should be busy somewhere else,” he says.
“Yes, sir,” you agree and work on his belt.
You don’t know if he’s ever done something like this before, but his painful erection lets you know how turned on he is. You give him a few strokes, feeling some precum on your hand. He groans under your touch and then, you bend your head over to lick the head of his cock, tasting him. “Fuck!” he mutters. You play with the head for a moment before taking him inside your mouth.
As you blow him, Gibbs has one arm stretching over the seat and his other hand is settled in the back of your neck, guiding you. You can feel him grabbing your hair into his fist from time to time. “You’re so good at this, sweetheart,” he praises you and you hum in response, with his cock still inside your mouth. It sends shivers down his spine, and he bucks his hips, making his length go as deep as possible inside your throat. When he hits the back of your throat, Gibbs lets out such a huge moan, people in the bar may have heard him.
“Who does this mouth belong to?”
You relish him briefly, “You.” you answer.
“Good girl,” he growls. “Now, make me cum in that pretty mouth of yours,”
You go back to your oral ministrations and quickly, Gibbs is coming inside your mouth, shooting his load inside your throat, as your name leaves his lips in the most erotic sound you’ve ever heard. You couldn’t be any more turned on at this very moment. As he’s catching his breath, you make a big show of swallowing every drop of him.
Finally, he grabs the back of your neck a bit roughly to make you kiss him. He can taste himself on you and from the sound you’re making, he understands that you love that side of him. “I’m not done with you,” he says, brushing his lips against yours. “We’re going back inside, like nothing happened, but if you keep flirting with DiNozzo, or anyone else, I’ll deny you for such a long moment, you’ll beg me to shot you,”
You may be crazy, but this makes you want to piss him off a little more.

Petals of Winter - Chapter 2
Petals of Winter Masterlist / Masterlist
Chapter 1
XoX
Chapter 2
Standing in your office you looked at the photos of the victim as you placed them up on the board you had. You stood back and crossed your arms, as you looked closely at each photo. The photos were that of the victim, and the crime scene. Each held a piece to the profile you needed to develop for the case.
But that wasn’t what was nagging at you. What was nagging at you was the profile you were building. It was starting to match that, of another case you had worked on. The type of victim, the way the victim was displayed, and the way the victim was murdered.
You already built the victimology profile. The Lieutenant wasn’t a high-risk victim, as she was part of the Marines. So that meant that she knew how to defend herself, so she must have known the attacker. Not only that, she was in her mid thirties, and single. Riesen also had just come home from a six-week deployment in Iraq, so it was either a crime of opportunity or was planned.
That lead into the actual profile of the attacker. The one that was starting to make you sick to your stomach. You could tell by the scenes that there was some sort of display to them, to make them appear as if they were asleep. However, it was obvious that the attacker was in shape for the simple fact that he was able to achieve his goal in killing the Lieutenant. This gave you the impression that he was in his thirties to forties.
As you were working on your profile, the sickening feeling was creeping its way back into your gut. The profile was starting to sound all to familiar. Everything from the puncture mark between the first vertebrae and the occipital bone, the position of the body, to the victimology. Either you were dealing with the same killer, or it was a copy cat. As much as your gut told you it was the same killer, however there was no way it could be. The only plausible explanation was that it was a copy cat.
“Hey, Y/L/N.” Danny said knocking on your door. “Sid gave us cause of death.” He added as he walked in. “So, it turns out you were right ‘bout the cause of death. Seems that the Lieutenant was injected with industrial mercury.”
Turning your back to the board, you looked at Danny. “What’s this?” You asked as you took a pale-yellow envelope from him.
“Dunno, was left for you at the front desk.” He said and handed you the autopsy report. “So, you wanna tell me how you knew about the cause of death?”
You placed the envelope down on your desk and opened up the report. You glanced over the report looking for the main things, such as if there was any rape, bodily injuries, and the case of death. After your eyes raked the report you closed it, tossing it on your desk. “It was only speculation.” You replied as you crossed your arms.
“Speculation? C’mon, Y/N, you gotta do better than that.” Danny said, tilting his head to the side.
“Alright, I’ve seen it before on a case back when I was a Special Agent for NCIS.” You replied, knowing full well that you were not going to go into details with the detective. It was a need to know basis, as you felt that you were still running from it.
“Did ya catch the guy?” Danny asked, as he crossed his arms.
“After a month of hunting him, and two weeks of deep undercover work, sadly we didn’t.” You answered sullenly. “However, MTAC reported that LaKlare was killed in a car crash last month.”
“MTAC?” Danny asked frowning.
“Multiple Threat Assessment Center.”
“Then we’re after a copy cat. I’ll start with processing the trace evidence we found.” He said and headed for the door.
As your door closed, you looked down at the pale-yellow envelope. You were about to open the envelope when there was another slight rap on your glass door. Looking up you saw that it was your boss Mac Taylor. “So, Danny told me you knew how the victim was murdered before Sid had a chance to look at the body. Want to tell me about that?”
You placed the envelope back down on your desk as you looked at Mac. “Mac, it was a hunch and it just proved to be correct.”
“What aren’t you telling me?”
“I think we’re dealing with a copy cat. Everything from the body positioning to the method of killing is the same as the LaKlare case I dealt with back when I worked with NCIS.” You said hopefully.
“The case you dealt with before you started here.” Mac stated as he looked you over.
You nodded your head. “If my preliminary profile is right, we’re going to be looking for someone who idolises LaKlare. A white male between the ages of thirty to forty. Goes to the gym regularly, and has some sort of ties to the Marines. Either by family or work.”
“That’s a start. Danny is working on the trace evidence right now, so I want you to finish your preliminary profile and have it on my desk as soon as you can.” Mac replied and left your office.
With the door shutting behind your boss you knew that you had to get to work on the preliminary profile. However, you turned back to your desk and saw the pale-yellow envelope. You took a couple steps to your desk and looked down at the item. On the front of the envelope had your name on it. It was a printed label.
Reaching out of it, you opened it and pulled out the contents. The first thing that fell to your desk was rose peddles. This caught your attention, however the rest of the contents of the envelope made your heart drop. Diligently you pulled out some half a dozen photos. The photos were of not only you, but of Tobias Fornell while he was in Manhattan visiting you. There were also photos from a few months ago when you were in Washington, DC visiting your old team and Fornell.
But with that was also a small handwritten note. As you looked it over you frowned, ‘A flower withers, as a gust of wind blows. Once ruby red petals, turn brown and gold. And one by one, each petal falls. Due to the treacherous sound, of winter’s call.’
