Wow!

I felt like you were talking about me, in every song. It felt like you had known me my whole life, and that you were singing to me.

Doubt is probably universal, as well as anguish and so many other feelings that we are not always able to describe.

You managed to put into words so many thoughts that I have on a recurring basis, and you did it so beautifully.

I have so many thoughts that take away my sleep and direction, so many doubts. If I deserve love, if I deserve to be here, if I do my job properly, if I'm beautiful, if I'm capable of giving myself to love.

Of course I'm totally in love with Kim Namjoon who I've known for over 3 years.

When my sister introduced me to Bts I was skeptical, not sure if I would like it or not. But I loved it. Bts is a really cool band with positivist messages from hard working artists who are grateful for their success and their journey.

But then I met you, KIM NAMJOON , and what a peculiar person you turned out to be, at least to me.

You are a unique blend of all the qualities I admire, from aspects I find interesting, even your cloomsyness pleases me. And you are intelligent, upright, sensitive.

You know, in some parallel universe you would be the love of my life, my perfect match.

I heard your album and I cried.

I cried for myself, for hiding my feelings, for having made so many barriers to protect myself that I ended up being alone. I cried in pain, because I thought there was no place for me in myself. I cried because I already thought that my life was not worth living and that I was a waste of space.

I had to post it somewhere. It didn't feel right, to burden Namjoon with my opinion. But. I wanted it out somewhere.

Dear Namjoon,

I have a particular concern, about BTS and ARMY. Most Army know, that our relationship is like friends, we know the reality of this Idol-Fan relationship.

By watching you, following your lives (curated parts shown by BTS and company) and vlives/other content - to some Armys, this forges the feelings and perceptions of BTS as ideal examples of Good people. This perception has in turn influenced Armys to also be the best versions of themselves, and also their perception of men in general.

With the way the world is (im not alone in this opinion), there seem to be way more bad men, than good men. Unfortunately.

My concern now is - I've personally got to know, more and more (straight) female Army's who now have this standard for men. to put it simply, you guys, BTS, have raised the standards. Rightfully so! because women as a whole have been settling for less for far too long.

And then I stopped coz, it was turning into a too long msg that was losing its point.

What was the point?

It's long overdue, for straight women to be treated like a decent human being by the males they partner with. Patriarchy and the whole boys-will be-boys notion. Then now these 7 ideal-standard men arrive and take over the world. Yeah, BTS, they're celebrities, what we see is an image crafted by the industry. And they're a more multi-viewed image, more real, it feels like - wow is this all truly genuine because as a fan, it does feel genuine.

But. But there's just 7 of them. And how many more, genuine, kind, sensitive men are there?

Statistics say, there are more females Armys than males. But I sincerely wish and hope that more males join us. More males, be part of this fandom, where we aim to become the best versions of ourselves.

And hopefully, the world will be a better place. And who knows, I'll maybe finally date a guy who actually is a genuinely good guy.

Dear Namjoon...

Your day already ended there in Korea, but here, in Brazil, we still having time to celebrate much more your beautiful day!
