Hehe
Don't kill me i have an offering 🫴🏾
Life, ao3 not loading for some reason and a three day hyper fixation (it's really bad i haven't slept at night in like days). It's good now though it's over i can feel it ☺️.
My favorite part below/preview!
Denny nudged him aside, giving him a sharp look for his teasing tone. “Whatever. You're just mad you can't play pool.”
“Oh yeah?”
Denny lined up a slot, “Yeah.”
He got the ball and it narrowly missed dropping in making him groan in anger. “These stupid balls aren't going in!”
“Or maybe you two suck,” May commented, not taking her eyes off her tablet.
Jeeyun looked up with a cutely scandalized face, “Bad word.”
Mara looked over, “It's not a bad word.”
May's eyes widened as Jee-yun let out a nearly jumbled, “Sufck.”
May put her tablet to the side as the boys burst out laughing making her giggle.
Harry pointed to Jee, “Now that's a bad word.”
May knelt to get level panicking as she pleaded, “No no no don't say that sweety it's a bad word.”
“Sfuck!”
She burst into giggles as Mara watched on in amusement and the boys collapsed with laughter at her panic.
“It's not funny! Help me fix this!”
“We suck so we can't do anything,” Denny replied, shrugging.
“Sfuck!”

Speaking of coins, I think it's neat that we have a trinity of Apollos with uncommon characteristics:
Apollo Karneios with ram horns and ram ears, Apollo Soranus with a star diadem and a pick-axe and Apollo Vejovis with winged head, a trident and a dagger. (The last two are the results of his syncretism with Roman deities)
What's more fun about the coins of Apollo-Vejovis is that some of them put a thunderbolt under his bust or straight up show him holding it:
And I can't help but think of this being equivalent to a girl wearing her mom's makeup for the photo day

carrie achterberg, you are just so me! to the highest degree! eldest daughter and sibling who not only bottled up emotion but tried to forget about them! so stubborn, a nail wouldn't even dare budge! if someone's trying to help her she says she's got it, she's good, she can handle this herself! and if james douglass admits his feelings for her, she'll act like it is the farthest thing that there is from the truth! at all times!

YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABT KIRYU HONESTLY
I’ve ranted to friends before abt how Kiryu is just genuinely so stupid that it comes of as dick-ish and inconsiderate to the people around him ESPECIALLY majima like?? He absolutely knows majima would walk through hell for Kiryu and takes full advantage of that in the worst ways and I don’t even think he fully realizes that that’s what he’s doing. Like please I love kazumaji as much as the next person but really only at a very specific point in time when they were both at their least fucked up gsgdfdf (kiwami 1 obv)
All is to say I agree please put the whole rgg fandom in an intro to literature class I think they’d greatly benefit gsgdf
kiryu is one of my favorite characters BECAUSE he's just so ass backwards. like On Paper he's a good guy: left the yakuza and is trying to live a normal life, has an orphanage and takes care of kids etc etc. but then you like. ACTUALLY look into him and its so funny.. he's such a dick and he doesn't even know and i love him. he just wants to do what he thinks is right and SOMETIMES he's right but his judgement also puts other people in peril (i.e. majima and daigo)

"Raph and Donnie definitely have some weird eating habits too. ...Especially when they feel the need to protect their food, come to think of it."
Could I ask what some of those habits might be?
The weird eating habits part is in reference to a few things that happen in the show itself, namely Raph eating wet salami and Donnie drinking flavorless juice, that I decided to expand on (at least with headcanons lol).
Raph, being the biggest and having the highest metabolism, is a lot less picky about what he eats out of necessity. He needs more food, more frequently, than anyone else in the family. This translates to eating a lot of things that aren't the safest to eat (expired, left out too long, found mysteriously on the floor, etc), partly because he has a really high tolerance for weird/gross food and partly because this boy has insane caloric needs.
However, there are a handful of food that he absolutely refuses to touch, mostly based on texture, like scrambled eggs. He had undercooked scrambled eggs once and hated the mouth feel so much he hasn't eaten them since. He's fairly prone to getting food grudges, which means that if he has a bad experience with a food once, he probably won't touch it again for months or years.
Donnie is basically at the other end of the spectrum, in that he's much pickier about how/when/where he eats his food. He feels much better about his food when he knows exactly what goes into it, partly because he's much more sensitive to differences in flavors, smells, and textures. He likes to have a lot of plain/bland/flavorless food on hand because it's usually easy to eat, which comes in handy if he's having a day when food is generally unappealing or if he's accidentally skipped a meal.
Sometimes Donnie's brothers tease him about his hordes of "boring snacks" that he keeps in strategic positions (aka places he spends a lot of time, like his lab or the arcade), but at the end of the day they know it makes eating much less stressful for him, so they don't mess with his stashes. It helps that he's the only one who actually enjoys his bland food in the family.
As for the protectiveness over food, that's partly because of their species both being naturally more aggressive (and carnivorous, for that matter), and partly because of growing up as one of four kids.

I’m still thinking about how in All of Our Demise Alistair was so clearly ready to kill or be killed that the the authors had to give him the “kill people and you die” curse and it was still barely enough to stop him from saying fuck it and burning the tournament and remaining champions to the ground in Hendry’s name

cannot believe i didn't get a 'thorki is illegal' anon. feeling so left out. clearly i have not posted enough thorki lately and need to rectify that. (im sure that's what anon wanted right? more thorki? ) xD
I feel like saying that it’s illegal is prompting discussion on the legality of it all. For instance, would Asgard have definitive laws against incest? How does the realm define incest at all. Are there exceptions to this rule, have there been a historical cases that prompted such a legal binding to be specified? Are members of the royal house exempt from any laws? Are there historical cases where this happened? Why? Does any exemption include laws on this topic, even if the intention was to prevent coercion or encourage regulation to political marriages? What cultural views surrounding these laws are there and how many minor revisions to documents would it take in theory before it is now legally sound. If it was ever illegal at all.

does anyone ever think abt c!glowduo. or how at some point c!ranboo was fully brought back and how they both got to get to know eachother again… bc only a part of c!ranboo was who c!aimsey got to know up until then and then they were fully back and likely was a different person to who c!aimsey knew . and how they stayed friends and likely got closer thru it . and now they’re best friends forever and c!aimsey is michaels aunt uncle (both. to me) and they have dinner at eachothers houses and then eventually their own kids hang out together and maybe they’d be best friends like their parents are . does anyone else think abt this

Difficult Person Test
Goro is a very difficult person to get along with (77.86%).
Callousness is characterized by lacking empathy or concern for others. People high in callousness typically have deficits in genuine social sentiments and are often experienced by others as coarsely uncivil. In other words, they often make people feel uncomfortable.
Aggressiveness is the tendency to behave rudely and with hostility toward others. Aggressiveness may be doubly hurtful to others if combined with callousness, since the aggressive person may thus be both intimidating and unfeeling in their demeanor.
Suspicion is the tendency to harbor a strong and unreasoning distrust of others. Suspicious people often question the motives of even those who act loyally and devotedly toward them. Such people are often reluctant to open up to others and may interpret kind-hearted gestures as attempts to deceive them.
Manipulativeness is the inclination to exploit others to derive benefits for oneself. Manipulative people take other people for granted and use them to realize their own wishes and goals, thinking little of interpersonal reciprocity or the rights of others. Such people often exhaust and frustrate those around them, since they give little in return for the services and favors they extract from others.
