Mari’s “go fuck your blood dirt, Lottie” and Lottie’s confusion is so so so important to me i love it so much because Lottie is genuinely confused how Mari, the ONE person who believed her and the Wilderness and it’s power and that it was talking through Lottie, doesn’t GET why Lottie had to do what she did. Mari worshipped her “Lottie doesn’t need a gun” at a time when most of them didn’t and now Lottie is standing there confused wondering why she doesn’t get it why does Mari not get it how does Mari not feel it and it breaks my heart that this is only going to isolate Lottie further and further away. This was her entire belief system this was her religion this was her life she wholeheartedly believed in the wilderness it was never something she only used to explain what couldn’t be explained or to excuse her actions or to get through the winter she BELIEVED it and now she is alone and confused and it kills me like she is just an unmedicated teenage girl who wants to feel belonged so so much and help her team and not feel so different and alone all the time and when they get rescued it’ll be exactly like that😭
