im not particularly religious but i think it’s very cute that Trans Day of Visibility and Easter are on the same day this year :)

its no question that something like this could be triggering or upsetting to a number of queer ppl given the current sociopolitical climate, so i want everyone to remember that u are loved! Regardless of what u or others believe, there are ppl who will love and support you always. Give yourself patience and treat yourself with care!!!

I just recalled a random memory this morning from when I was in scouts. I had a friend who’s mom was a devout catholic, but we were good friends through scouts. One year my friend wanted to give me a gift for Chanukah so their mom took us to Toys R Us together so I could pick out what I wanted. The mom handed my friend cash at the register so my friend could say they bought it and they paid a little extra for wrapping.

As we were leaving the mom said that I couldn’t open it until Christmas.

But my friend specifically said they were giving it to me for Chanukah. Chanukah that year was a week or two before Christmas (I don’t remember exactly) and the mom said that if I opened it before Christmas “Jesus would know”. I cannot stress enough that my friend wanted it to be a CHANUKAH present.

I’m dropped off at home and my friends mom tells my parents that I can’t open my present until Christmas, meanwhile my friend is in the back seat frustrated and almost shouting “Mom [Renkon] is Jewish!”

My dad just nods and says he understands. He’ll make sure I don’t open it until “the appropriate time”.

First night of Chanukah rolls around and my dad hands me the present and tells me to open it but don’t say anything to my friend until he has a chance to talk to their mother.

So I get to enjoy my toy FOR CHANUKAH like my friend intended.

Anyway, Christmas come and goes. Then new years, then on January 3rd my dad calls the mom and asks “what day does your holiday fall on this year? [Renkon] would like to open their present.”

I've seen people talk about how the bunker only has one bed but I haven't seen anyone mention how FIDDLEFORD was the one that designed it like that. like ford put him in charge of that. I bet ford didn't even think twice about it too he was just like "this arrangement was a great idea! imagine how much less space we'd have with two beds!" and fidds just had to deal with the fact that he's in love with a fucking moron

This is on my mind due to a few of my fandoms but I've seen it pretty much everywhere: whether a character deserves redemption is far more about genuine remorse and restitution, not the magnitude of wrongdoing nor the severity of punishment. A guy who kicks one dog, is beaten nearly to death, recovers, and kicks a second dog doesn't get a redemption arc. A guy who commits a war crime, is given a stern talking to and a slap on the wrist, and changes their ways and goes about attempting in good faith to make amends does. You cannot punish someone into redemption and you cannot traumatize someone into blamelessness and it's pretty fucked up people act like the quantity of suffering is what brings about redemption and not the actions willingly taken.

i know it will never happen but i so desperately desire an origins-type playable backstory thing in all games but especially veilguard. i feel like it added so much depth to origins and made you feel instantly connected to your character in a way that gets lost in games like inquisition where you fill in the blanks as you go except for the bare basics. like, i do enjoy the freedom to willy nilly decide where a character was before the events of the story from a creative perspective, but the playable origins were just so good! especially when you go back to where your warden is from and can engage differently with the arcs there
