Though a more appropriate question would be when did you get here, it’s not the immediate one that leaves him. “What are you doing?” He stands in the doorway, unmoving, as he’s afraid you didn’t even hear him with the music so loud.

You don’t split hairs, languidly rolling over toward the entrance to find the blue mech standing there in vivid disbelief, an ounce of concern unable to shoulder through. In one hand, a mirror; in the other, your cheek as an elbow comes to hold your weight.

“Having a pity party. What are you doing?” You reply easily, unable to reach your phone to pause the blaring music.

“That’s my fault, I should have known better,” Magnus grumbles, entering with two loping strides, the door closing over behind him. He asked a stupid question and got a stupid answer, yet your response only added to his vast confusion.

“I look like shit.” A small whine, turning back over to wallow at the metal wall of his office, clutching the compact mirror tightly to your chest. On the way, you turn the music off, scrunching in on yourself. “I thought you were busy until six,”

He had initially relayed that schedule to you, even extending the time slightly to not have you worried if it did run over. “Things completed early. What is the matter?”

A small sniffle, and as he comes to stand over his desk, he catches the way you flinch, as if to furl in on yourself. “I was gonna leave before you came back. It took me too long to gather myself I guess.”

“And why is that?” Normally, these types of games do nothing but irate him, however, he finds himself entertaining such childish behavior with you. Things are not always so black and white, he’s come to understand you only act certain ways because something really is the matter.

“My skin is so bad, Mags. I look gross, I got my period a day ago,” A gasped breath, shortly after sputtering it all out in one bite. “I want to lay in bed and scream into a pillow.”

Magnus cocks his helm to the side, just a little, before reaching a hand across the desk to prod at your side gently, careful of the tender skin around the lower abdomen. “You may do that here, I do not mind.”

At his touch, you move to sit up, still cradling the mirror. “I’m just gonna piss you off, I’ll go home,”

Moving to gather your things, you’re stopped dead in your tracks as one of his digits comes to hook around your chin, tilting your head backward as to meet his stern gaze.

“You look beautiful as always, y/n,” He murmurs, hushed. “Nothing you do could piss me off. So please, stay.”

Feeling the heat raise to your cheeks, you freeze a moment too long before stammering a reply. “O-okay, when you put it like that…”

“Thank you.” He pulls back only slightly before bending to kiss the crown of your head. “I only wish for you to feel better,”

And how could you not want to do what he desires, especially when he asked so nicely…
