the fact that you start the Tabris origin by literally stepping into your mother's shoes. the fact that what you get is a wedding outfit and your mother's worn boots, kept carefully intact for years, tucked away for this exact moment. the fact that you then immediately take the path she never could, leaving behind the alienage and the wedding and following Duncan (who would have recruited Adaia first, if not for baby!Tabris) to what ought to have been death.

And Then!! instead of fighting and falling as she did, cheating death and becoming the fighter she always intended you to be instead??? Reliving and simultaneously subverting the story of her life??

Not So Smug Now, Are Ya?

If Lois Lane had a Nickel for everytime she outed a superhero working at the Daily Planet, she'd be getting her second nickel.

She had invited one Daniel Nightingale, a junior reporter with serious potential with a serious lack of self preservation to "a smoke break" and was prepared to do exactly what she did with Clark. If her gut was right when it told her Nightingale was a hero too, the mysterious Phantom, he'd save her before she'd jump. If not, then Clark would jump in to grab her if he didn't rise to her bait.

When he finally got up there with her, she sure as hell wasn't expecting him to tell her why he shouldn't smite her soul out of existence there and now. Her blood ran cold when he told her that Clark has been "compromised", a portal opening up with a snap lf his fingers dropping an unconscious mountain of a man facefirst on the ground.

"You were supposed to die that day you jumped off this building, Ms. Lane. Did you know that?" Danny growls as a scythe made of ice, niking her neck as he has an unhinged Cheshire grin on his face "Clark was never supposed to save you that day? So... what are we going to do about this now?"

Man I don't even know. Deleted the last post because maybe I'm too hasty, seen how insulting it can be to be accused of AI generating shit, but my god! I cannot help but feel so much more for writers—writers who use words to craft their art, already fighting for a place in a world that prioritizes visual language/graphics over their medium, writers who are much quicker to be criticized than artists, writers who have to find a way to hone their crafts just so they keep your attention all the way to the end of their stories, writers who have no other means to present their creation and being told to pick up an entire other skill just to be appreciated in a community space, writers who are so much easily more exploited by AI generation because their medium is TEXT.

I don't fucking know dude. Sometimes it feels like people are fighting against AI art but not AI generated writing, voice acting, music or any other creative medium because visual graphics/language takes more precedence in this world, and everything else is secondary to it even though we are constantly preaching that all mediums are considered art

Like Doflamingo, he acts as though your attempts at torturing him are absolutely precious.

Law straight up based his jolly roger on Doffy's. Like it's not even kinda subtle. (Not that Law does subtle. Which is weird for someone trying SO HARD to be dark, mysterious, and edge-y as Kikoku. )

Trafalgar spent years of his life travelling around the world, gaining notoriety and power, putting into place a series of intricate moving parts that all had to come together in just the right way all so Doflamingo would notice him and remember his face forever.

THINK ABOUT IT OK kevin is damian and obvi bruce is wymack— i don't even need to say it you can see the parallels-- which makes the Moriyamas the Al Ghuls. Babs is Dan, Dick is Matt, tim is allison (the rich kids lol), and i can’t decide for renee and seth… maybe Helena for one? she doesn’t really match either of them, but maybe Maps for Renee, Helena for Seth (sorry and rip Helena). if anyone knows more about Helena/Harper/Carrie/Bette/etc and think they fit lmk! Betsy would probably be Dinah since i think she’s had a few arcs as a therapist? And if you ignore the abby x wymack thing then Alfred could be Abby

and who is neil you ask? CASS!! i love cassie it's so perfect, the wesninskis are the Cains obviously, maybe cass ran away after her dad killed someone in front of the al ghuls (and, unknown to Cass, tried to sell her to the Al Ghuls to be The One Who Is All) and became a runaway with shiva OR after Cain forced Cass' own first kill she runs away by herself, like in the comics. Instead of damian (kevin) scouting her, it's babs (Dan) getting her into the Bat Cave Court!!

Then she moves to Bruce’s and meets The Monsters (the demons? vampires? vampire bats?); Damian (kevin), Duke (nicky), Jason (aaron), and (drumroll please......🥁🥁🥁🥁) Steph (andrew)!— BARE WITH ME bare with me okay some inconsistencies in character are gonna happen here

Jason and Steph are, obviously, twins separated as babies- but they're fraternal twins, so they look pretty different and are different sexes. Either Willis or Sheila could be Tilda, but whichever pair of parents they had couldn't afford/didn't want two kids so they gave Stephanie to the foster system, causing her to be in and out of foster homes until she was placed with Crystal (Cass) and Arthur Brown. black mask or arthur/cluemaster could be drake :(

Duke, their cousin, wants them to make up but doesn’t know how to (ignore nicky’s advances on every man that breathes, i love him but that does not apply to Duke here lol he is not making moves on anyone here— they are his family). Steph doesn’t consider either of them family, only damian who she protects is family to her.

Then the upperclassmen move in once school starts! i’m throwing the gendered rooms out of here cause it doesn’t fit so Cass shares a room with Seth, Renee (maybe helena and maps? still undecided), and Tim. The Monsters/Vampires/Demons have their room, and Dick and Babs share.
