On that note though, I don't really know when I'll be able to open them again :( I was tentatively aiming at mid to late November, which ... kind of came and went so fast I didn't even notice. And that means I only have 2 more (busy) weeks before I leave to spend the holidays/new year's with my partner again and won't be able to draw, so I'm debating whether or not I should open them now and try to get as many done as I can (if any) before then, or wait until the new year so i can take my time 😩 decisions decisions......

hello, it is I, sword. the greatest idea just hit me a few days ago, and hear me out, siren time. I wanna write about him but im kinda brain dead, so, any ideas? :3

I think one think that would be good to explore is that if we're talking about Time, first of all, what kind of mer would he be? He is typical merman? How did he get the scar on his eye? Was it a freak accident? He did something stupid in his youth?

I like to think that since this is still Link we're talking about, he got it out in an adventure, going through underwater ruins, and got into a fight with either a shark or an eel. Eels have two jaws so it would have extra damage to him if it had gotten territorial from him getting too close.

I don't know if Time can sing all that well in terms of siren abilities, but I'm willing to bet that he still has his ocarina, or at least a version of it that would 'lure' enemies/sailors to the bottom of Davy Jones' locker.

i want to just take a moment and give a big, BIG long-overdue and belated THANK YOU to EVERYONE for your support on that Big, Serious Text-Post i had made earlier this year.

it truthfully means a lot, more than beyond the everlasting reaches of the WORLD to me how many of you had shown your support for me, either in comments, reaching out, or simply taking the time to read and like my post.

i cannot thank you all enough for your generosity and understanding, and all the incredible patience and love that you have shown to and for me within my years being active in the Silent Hill fandom and on tumblr, and for showing me such kindness and enthusiasm that i have always tried to match not only in just my daily life and blogging here, but for GOOMT as well.

your trust and support in me, and your support of my endeavors and in GOOMT is truly, TRULY remarkable and HIGHLY cherished, and incredibly HEALING in my time of need.

i am EXTREMELY also, and very happy to report that said healing is going well. i have found a good therapist that i can connect with on a fandom level, who understands the interconnected community very well and has a good standpoint from which to help me through the trauma i endured in relation to the event. time will heal more wounds and i don't imagine it won't come up to affect me again in the future, but at least then i will be better prepared, and with a solid, and professional support system to seek further assistance in.

but as for you, and as for EVERYONE who has ever shown me your support, and shown me kindness, and shown me faith and trust and given me (and GOOMT) so much of your time, even if it was just anyone might call fleeting -- THANK YOU.

this fic is essentially ed and al, thirteen and twelve respectively, following a lead on the philosopher's stone to a small mining town, saw the state of the town and the people there, and decided to do something about it.

it is a lovely day in a corrupted small town and you are a horrible teenage state alchemist

He snaps back into action, a rubber band pulled taut and then released, grabbing his brother’s arm and dragging him into a corner, out of sight of any guards on rotation. “What are you doing here?” he hisses through clenched teeth, casting a glance around. The guard won’t return for another seven minutes, but the fear lodged in his chest turns to paranoia. “How— how did you even get here?” “I came to rescue you,” Al says, like that should be the most obvious thing in the world. “I’ll explain once we’re out, we can’t waste any time.” Ed doesn’t move when Al does. He stands rooted to his spot, something complicated twisting itself in knots in his chest. “I… can’t go with you.” Al turns back at him, and Ed doesn’t need to see his brother’s face to understand his bafflement. He’s quiet for a moment. “…Okay. What— what does that mean?” Ed turns his scowl at the ground. “You didn’t see it, Al. All those people trapped here. It’s not right, and I can’t just…” he can’t bring himself to look at his brother. “I can’t just leave. Not when I could do something to help these people.” Al is silent. “Okay,” he says slowly. “So. What do we do, then?”

I've got a question!

What's your least favorite thing to draw/do when you make art?

I'm on my own art journey right now and kind of dread the transition from lineart to coloring.

Trying to study anatomy right now and ignore rendering but I'm curious what other artists feel is challenging or just like 'ugh, ok time for [x]'

OHHH in terms of what's challenging, for me it's definitely coloring, rendering, backgrounds, and composition HAHA (<- chronic flat colors user who only draws character art on a floating white background)

i love focusing on gesture and lines when i draw ^_^ i rely mostly on intuition for the other stuff but it really only takes u so far T_T i'll spend hours trying to fix something by trial and error when i probably couldve saved that time by putting in more conscious studying/practice lol

YESYESYES I certainly do!! (pat pat) this will be a little messy I'm afraid but I will try to make it as coherent as possible I just love rambling about headcanons eheh (ALSO, I'm so sorry for the late reply my exams aren't letting me catch a break AAAAAA)

-Shidou notices the signs of extreme neglect & emotional abuse in haruka's behavior IMMEDIATELY (cause Yaknow. being a doctor he must have at least some understanding of psychology ) and he gets so so protective of him, especially because haruka somewhat resembles one of shidou's kids. He tries his best to soothe Haruka's anxious behavior

Like Haruka would accidentally drop something and it breaks, a glass maybe that he was getting for Shidou, and absolutely freaks out like "OH MYGOD IM SO SORRY ILL DO BETTER I SWEAR IM SORRY" and gets super scared that he'll get yelled at or hurt and Shidou is so patient with him, putting a hand on his shoulder and reassuring him that he's not upset, that it's ok to make a mistake and he can help Haruka clean up the shattered glass, no problem.

-Similarly when Haruka is trying to talk to Shidou about something but keeps stuttering, and eventually he gets so anxious about bothering Shidou with his speech struggles that he just goes "uh actually nevermind I'm sorry-" but Shidou quickly stops him from leaving and hes like "No no it's okay, keep going. I'm listening :)"

-Generally he encourages Haruka a lot when he wants to talk but is struggling, feeling anxious, feeling self-conscious. He reassures Haruka that 1. he's not mad at him or bothered by him, in fact he is very happy to listen! and 2. he's very proud of Haruka for trying!!

-He helps Haruka with his anxiety too, he teaches Haruka breathing exercises, he gives safer alternatives to the gripping his palms thing. At first Haruka is too shy to tell Shidou that some of the methods he gave him aren't working, but at one point Shidou tells him that it's ok if he hasn't found the right alternatives yet, it'll take time and not everything works for everyone ,,,.....

-I hc that Haruka has a weak immunity because his mom probably neglected him that much, to the point he didn't have regular doctor visits or checkups. Whenever Haruka gets sick, Shidou stays by his side not just to treat him, but to help him feel less lonely... He asks Haruka about his special interest(s) and listens to him ramble :D (IN FACT I DREW THIS... just a doodle Im not sure if youd like to see it but well here it is... , hehe)

-In my half-joke post milgram AU where all the prisoners kidnap Haruka and Amane from their households and Mikoto quits his job, Shidou drives Haruka (+ Amane, Yuno, Muu depending if any of the four don't want to walk) home from school!!! He asks him how his day went and helps Haruka with homework if he needs to!!

-speaking of homework. Shidou can get a little scary/strict when grading and helping with homework...,,.. but he makes sure to be patient with Haruka and explains anything he didn't understand as gently and clearly as he could. Haruka is still a little intimidated everytime Shidou helps but he appreciates him ehehhe

-when Shidou is reading a book in his free time Haruka approaches him like "what are u readimg... :o" and sits next to him and they read together. and they start to have a little "reading time" from this point onwards (I THINK I SAW ANOTHER HC OF HARUKA AND SHIDOU READING. . If it was yours THANK YOU FOR IT ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE HCS EVER. Shidou helps Haruka get better at reading cause he gets overwhelmed with like. big blocks of text. and getting into things that aren't related to his special interest. :3c
