I just finished Nicole Walters Memoir. If you are looking to connect with a kindred soul struggling to start a business, raise kids, and roll with the punches, you might enjoy this book too. 4 Stars.

It’s a nice thought. She’d love to have what her parents have, but Lerona is more focused on Starfleet than anything else. Her goal in life is to help people, and if someone shows up along the way then she’ll gladly let it happen. She doesn’t seek it out, but that isn’t to say she doesn’t ever hope for it to find her.

Salana has never considered it an option. She’s never thought she’d find anyone who would be up for dealing with what comes with having a blind partner. She can rely on herself and her fathers. That’s what she believes.

Thrya knows that as the heir she’ll eventually need to marry, but the only one she’d ever want to be with is her One. Jon. And they both worry some people wouldn’t approve, given his family’s position as the heirs’ sworn swords. If they were to marry they would effectively erase that long standing tradition.

Athena doesn’t know what marriage is. She hasn’t even heard of the word. She wouldn’t be taught about something so silly, so inapplicable to her. If, later in the story, she was told what it meant, she would think of Spencer.

Marriage is a sensitive subject for Eirlys. Elves marry for life and death, and she has never felt that pull towards someone before. Jadis made her believe real love wasn’t something she could or would have with someone, and she believed her. Until she met her siblings, and then Caspian.

i just don't understand why star trek strange new worlds would make a straight version of city on the edge of forever. like, city on the edge of forever, but straight? spock isn't in it, instead it is security officer noonien singh & she has to, um, not kill baby hitler in the prototypical lunch table philosophy question? and also kiss captain kirk but instead of being captain kirk he's the guy from the vampire diaries and also they're in a bland & empty version of canada? and the whole set-up is that there's an evil alien infiltrator who is trying to stop the eugenics wars in order to limit human progress somehow (??), who literally uses the term 'global cabal'? like what. was the, um. what was the hope here. what was the vision. maybe i just missed it

Hello :) not to put pressure on you or anything, but I recently read (all in one sitting) and fell in love with to boldly go (the 911 star trek AU), and I saw that it's almost finished but you haven't updated in a while. Again no pressure, buuut can I hope to read the ending someday? The writing is so lovely, and the slow burn so gooood 🥺

I'm a little ashamed though. 🙈 I have two months of vacation coming up and finishing this fic is right on top of my to do-list. Real life, single motherhood and work got a little overwhelming just over a year ago, so I had to start prioritising some things in my life. Writing fic wasn't one of the priorities.

But I am in a better place right now and I have the outline for the ending all ready. Now I just need to sit down and write it out. I am determined to finish it because I hate leaving things unfinished. I know what it's like, reading a WIP and waiting for a new chapter.

So yeah, somewhere during July, I will post a (hopefully) worthy ending to this fic. You have given me an extra boost though. Knowing that there are still people out there, eagerly waiting for the ending makes me happy.
