Twilight Princess! It’s my favorite loz game, personally, I’d love to hear your thoughts
Man... TP is wild cause its in my top 3 and I'll never be the same after it, but I also dont know if its that great of a game?? It rly throws me for a loop whenever I'm asked to express my feelings on it.
On one hand it has things like snowpeak. It's soundtrack slaps so much. It has my favourite in game Link and a gosh dang clown cannon that cannot be removed from the story because it is VITAL Link climbs in the clown cannon. He has to be shot out of the clown cannon guys. Hyrule needs him in the clown cannon. Nobody ever call TP grey and boring again theres a CLOWN CANNON.
On the other hand it has things like the water temple, weird teleportation system, kind of a dead overworld, I might love and care for Ilia and Zelda but Nintendo sure didnt make that happen.
Both of these lists could go on and on. Epona is so lovely. That bug at lake Hylia should raise the game's age rating to no-one ever.
However! I've concluded listing stuff eint gonna get me anywhere with explaining my feelings.
To me TP is an experience. It's a journey with highs and lows that is absolutely worth taking if you're at all intrigued by it. It's inconsistant but thats kind of a relief because you know after the hurdle youre gonna get some really good content. Then probably stuck again but THEN... Gold.
Also yea the overworld is dead but man is the story alive. I love the variety of different ppl in the cast and how they move around and change through the story. It feeeels aliiiveeee...
I guess my conclusion here is that TP is a game that feels alive when its moving as a whole, but if you point out the puzzle pieces instead of the main image you can spot some less than stellar stuff. That doesn't make it any lesser in my mind, and its a journey I'll gladly take again and again... But its smth that I cant deny. Sometimes the things we love are flawed and aknowledging that makes the love stronger.
Some part of me will always remain in Ordon, I think wolves are cool as heck, Ooccoo for president, thanks 4 read.

im not sure if the 500 followers event/matchup includes anon asks but i'll try. (if you can maybe both platonic and romantic??)
i usually prefer they/them pronouns but im more generally gender fluid. im also asexual (not aromantic so i do get romantic feelings but its just harder for me to fall in love or develop a crush on someone). im in my early twenties (so definitely older than the main cast). im incredibly short (4"11/149cm but i think i've grown but not entirely sure how many). so i am quite insecure about my height especially when you're the shortest of the family. my main hobby is writing and reading. but im currently on writer's block so i haven't written anything longer than a chapter these past few months because of college. i also play games quite a lot but nothing like fps or any horror games.
im usually quiet when meeting with new people and once i get comfortable, i can get chaotic and i let out a couple of dark humor jokes here and there. and i prefer to stay indoors rather than outdoors. however, i wouldn't mind going out with people that i actually like/am close with. also, i tend to curse a lot and a bit tomboyish. i can also get a bit harsh with my words if i dont think on what i say and just say it outright.
also, dont rush and take your time. i know how stressful writing can be at times so there's no pressure in answering this one. thank you!
I match you with 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 (romantic)
okay hear me out.
The First Impression:
"Not my circus, not my monkeys" Leona could not be bothered to take on more than he already has to, and that includes meeting new people. The first time you run into each other, it doesn't exactly leave a lasting impression. And the second time, the third... the fourth time you end up in the same place at the same time, you're basically as close as you can get to friends.
Why He Fell:
Honestly? It was your sense of humor.
Leona just... wasn't expecting it. For someone who seems like a prey animal, quiet and meek, hearing such a morbid joke coming from your mouth catches him off guard. It takes a lot of wit to come up with something like that, after all. You actually manage to make him laugh. You might as well be married at that point.
Obviously, there's more to you than meets the eye, and Leona suddenly doesn't mind hanging out with you more often.
The Relationship:
He ends up sticking to you like glue. If he's going to be stuck at this lousy school, he may as well surround himself with people he tolerates, right?
Well, he more than tolerates you. He likes you. (But good luck trying to get him to admit that out loud).
Over time, Leona finds himself caring more and more about you as a person. Your interests, your likes and dislikes, your home life... suddenly, he has this whole catalogue of information about you and he doesn't know what to do with it. So, he just hangs out with you.
Every little detail, he likes. You want to stay in? No problem, so does he. Your tomboyish tendencies? Perfect, he's glad you're not fussy. He convinces you to tell him one of your stories "to fall asleep to", but he ends up staying awake 'til the end.
Leona is oddly sensitive about your feelings, too. Once he finds out you're insecure of your height because of your family, he never brings it up again- and you can be sure that anyone who does is in for it.
Short Platonic Blurb w/Tweels
since you asked! I'm trying to limit this to one matchup per person, but I'm glad to do a brief platonic summary. I just think both Jade and Floyd would be enamored with your sense of humor and chaos, they would find it fascinating. If you were feeling insecure about your height, Floyd would offer to let you sit on his shoulders for funsies. They're the friends who drag you outside (once you're comfortable with them ofc)

[fandom literate rp ad] i'm back in my hunger games phase, don't @ me

just when i thought it couldn't get any worse from rewatching the trilogy, i have now fallen back into the pits of panem after watching songbirds and snakes tonight… sorry in advance friends 🤡
heyo! my name is talia! i'm a 24yo female in EST timezone! former theatre kid, wannabe author, just a silly lil guy tbh. i'm looking for, you guessed it, hunger games fandom rp! this is a specific craving and i'll admit fandom rp is not my forte so i may not follow the "norm" oops. i just want to find a collaborative partner who really vibes and can be a friend to build an amazing story with in this universe! 🧡
does that sound like you so far? cool, cool, lets proceed
🏹 rp style and looking for: 🏹
daily/weekly replies, i have a lot of availability as of right now
18+ writers, character ages will have to be discussed due to the fandom canon, but just dont be creepy gdi
third person, past tense
literate to novella replies. i can go anywhere from 2 paragraphs to exceeding nitro count, depending on scene needs and inspo. quality > quantity tho!
romance is a must. m/m and m/f couples are my preference!
OCs only! canon charas can be discussed but not as mains. i also don't double and i don't do canon/oc couples, i'm sorry ya'll i know this is a deal breaker for some
obsessed with faceclaims, pinterest boards, spotify playlists, an organized and fun server, literally give me all the aesthetics and let me fangirl i am in desparate need
no SFW limits, i'm an open book and probably too desensitized
NSFW-wise, i am like 20/80 in terms of smut/plot. i am totally fine fading to black, i am fine to write it as long as it fits and serves a purpose, but i dont do erp and i don't focus on it as a necessity to a story
ghost friendly, if it isnt a vibe it isnt a vibe. if we are an amazing fit then you will be stuck with me forever but i'm just a stranger on the internet as of right now so no hard feelings
not a canon nut, so open to changing or expanding as we want. someone open to not be a stickler for every canon detail would be cool, obvi we will follow it but i'm ok to add or adjust as we decide!
OOC chatter is a requirement, i am someone who wants to be your friend. idk how some of ya'll just be writing and not being annoying OOC i cannot do it
due to preference and previous experience, i am currently only looking for femme/afab writers, i hope you understand :)
🏹 HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUT: 🏹
OCs before katniss era, childhood friends then one moves districts and they get reaped and reconnect
mentor/OC relationship (a younger mentor who won when they were far too young and are now mentoring their best friend from childhood after abandoning them?)
our own spin on canon with OCs implanted into the original trilogy story, like a spinoff of sorts?
capitol x district or peacemaker x district
ensemble casts are ok too im vv open!
tbh i would love to write our own hunger games and include some canon cameos and make our own arena and have a beautifully tragic story and cast, gimme all the darkness and angst and violence and tragedy and moral dilemmas and deep character bonds and impossible happy endings and fights and spectacle just - we can do it, that's all i'm sayin' 👀
i've attached my writing sample below! despite the casual OOC, i promise that if we're a good fit, our stories will be full of nothing but effort and a mild obsession/hyperfixation ✨
contact stuff 📱
if you are srs please reach out over discord. i do not check tumblr enough i'm the worst so i would love to get notifs bahaha my username is: muppetmania
i'm a lil picky (and full of anxiety) so please tell me youre from tumblr, a bit about yourself, your rp style, what interests you about this, and a writing sample ofc, that would be so gucci of you i will give you a big hug 🥰
may the odds be ever in your favor or whateva whistling sounds

Persona 3 Reload.
This is a remake of the 2006 classic. I played it way back then... But don't remember much. I don't think i played it right too.
Did you know? This was revealed accidentally through an altus moment. Somebody on the social team accidentally posted the trailer on instagram early. That verbal lashing was probably inhumane.
You're back in the shoes of Persona 3's iconic protagonist, navigating a refreshed world harboring a dark secret. Almost everything's the same, but some things are different, and some things are new.
For one, the voice cast. The main stars of the show have returned, with new voices. A lot of people with ties to the original game weren't too happy with these choices (i dont think theyd be happy with any lol) but i really like them. Aleks Le, Alejandro Saab, Allegra Clark and Zeno Robinson stuck out to me the most. My god did Zeno put on a GENERATIONAL performance as Junpei. He breathed new life into the character. I can't imagine anyone else voicing him now.
I recognize Allegra Clark from three houses. She did a good job as Mitsuru. Alejando Saab's take on Akihiko was not what most were expecting. With the time i've spent with the character, i think it's perfect. Aleks is on a special run right now. he killed it as Makoto.
Still on the topic of voice actors, many of the original voice cast actually are still involved in this project. They've returned to voice some of the adult characters.

This is a really cool show of respect to the first voice cast imo. There's something a bit poetic about this. But i can't really put it into words properly. Someone better at this kind of thing could do so.
This is a remake. And by god it's a good example of one. Everything's been remade from the ground up to today's standards. The UI is AMAZING. It consistently impressed me up until the final act. Atlus has convinced me that good UI is an art, and they have all the masters in their studio. The environments, the character portraits, the music, the everything. The PS2 version looks cute in comparison.
Something that seems to be lost in production is the more somber and relaxed color schemes that the environments had in some of the overworlds. A lot of people didn't like this, but i did. The brighter color schemes used in the school really helped to sell that seaside setting that the school is located in far better than the original. Have you ever been to a (good looking) sea? They did a good job conveying the look.
No longer limited by technology, the environments are far more lively. People that don't really get in your way litter the school hallways, Paulownia Mall is packed and the stations are full with activity.
Battles got a huge overhaul, with a banger new battle theme. Alongside party members getting fundamental changes, the entire cast got brand new battle uniforms. I guess going through all of what they were going through in just their school uniforms seemed a bit too much. All of them were designed to their strengths and personality. (Why give junpei a jacket if he's just gonna tie it around his waist...?) They're really good. And it's a solid upgrade that puts them in league with the phantom thieves's looks with me.
to boot, a new ability came with these uniforms. Theurgy. In game, it's explained as a special cartridge that the gang can load into their evokers when ready. They're pretty much fusion spells. Everyone gets one, and they all have their own animations that play when used. Persona 5's baton pass also makes a return, now known as "shifting". I made some great plays off of it.
The story's the same, told through a new look, new console and new voices. It's just as good now as it was back then. The message still remains. I'm glad this was on game pass. I had fun going back to Tatsumi Port Island, seeing these faces again. My favorite bit of the game was the november school trip.

okay okay TwT I’m not trying to come for your interpretation! Let me respond to your thoughts and talk about my own view on Kokichi in V3-4 a bit
the "kill them all" attempt doesnt really need to be the focus of the trial it takes place in. that's literally only true for asahina, where its clear by the time we get to suspecting her that all she wants is to get to the vote, not find the truth.
its not true for komaeda's case, where the focus is the impossible to determine culprit due to him dying in a room they all went into together. they dont even bring up the idea of him wanting to kill everyone until after Chiaki is dead; until that point, everyone thought he was trying to kill the traitor by forcing them to blacken themselves.
its not true for gonta and kokichi's case either; the main gimmick of their case is the different rules of the virtual world and how they affect whats believable. they dont address the mass mercy kill plan in depth until alter ego gonta is brought out iirc since no one can really believe gonta would commit a murder of any kind.
I agree that Kokichi’s behavior throughout this trial is exceedingly strange. Honestly, it is genuinely Kokichi’s biggest mystery to me to this day. I can’t be confident in any of my various attempts at interpreting his behavior in that chapter (though the trial i feel somewhat ok with).
his change in behavior does happen way earlier in the chapter than you mention; when he begins talking about killing someone to keep the game interesting. it’s the breakfast scene where Momota punches Kokichi. he’d never posited himself as a blackened-aligned student before. it does happen after the handing out of the motive, which implies that that despair-inducing sight is what caused Kokichi’s change in behavior. Overall that supports your theory
As you say, he snaps when Saihara attempts to lie and everyone believes it. He says, “if I can’t win this game, I’ll make it boring for everyone!” That’s a line I’ve been stuck on recently. What does he mean by win here? What about Shuichi’s lie, about that room setup, made him believe that he can’t win this game? What about it is so opposed to his objective in this trial? (What is his objective in this trial…)
It’s very very very strange. And it does contradict your theory that Kokichi might have bought into the despair-inducing sight till the very end of Gonta’s life. Since if he was angling for the whole-class kill, he wouldn’t have intervened and corrected Saihara that he couldn’t be the killer. After all, the entire class was coming for Kokichi’s throat that trial. He had to remind them several times himself that he was physically incapable of killing Iruma
But you’re right too that that line about all of their deaths being another way to end the killing game is a very interesting line, and especially so out of Kokichi
I personally believe that he was essentially pulling an experiment during this case. That he was testing the waters to see if the outside world really was destroyed (in line with the Flashback Light he showed Gonta) or if that was just a lie and his original theory about there being an audience was accurate. If the outside world really was destroyed, then Kokichi would assist with the mass murder plan, as agreed with Gonta. But if it wasn't, he could back out and execute a backup plan, where he removes all motive from the other cast members
i genuinely believe Kokichi must have been very confused and wavered a lot throughout this chapter. after all, how could he doubt the evidence he presumably had seen with his own eyes? so i think he believed in the group kill somewhat. just not all the way
@beehiveofblorbos
well, i mean. I do very much consider the group kill attempt of V3 to be Harukawa’s attempt on Kokichi’s life via winning the class trial she believes she’s the blackened of. But fair and understandable
See bringing this up only makes me a bit salter because of the fact that like.
Okay so Maki definitely tried to make a group kill. However it wasn't the main focus of the trial. And that's why her attempt to group kill doesn't line up with the trope itself.
Aoi hid evidence and manipulated the trial to try to get her group kill when she could have ended the trial easily by suggesting Sakura killed herself
Nagito's whole plan revolved around his luck finding the "traitor" of the group (the only Non-Remnant) and getting them to kill him, thusly, having them go free where as everyone else dies
When you compare Maki's brief stint of "Kill them all", it actually does not line up with the trope. Her attempt to hide the truth is very bare-minimum and is overshadowed by the bigger plot of the trial, which is whodunnit and who is the damn fucking victim. Maki's role in the trial, in the case itself, was only part of a larger whole and not the main focus. Even if she fessed up to her part of the crime asap, it wouldn't have solved the case. The class trial's sole purpose was not to kill everyone.
That's the main difference.
But you know who's trial was focusing on group killing the whole class? Who's trial's sole purpose was to kill everyone?
Gonta's and Kokichi's.
Case 4 of V3 was specifically about mass mercy killing the class. Gonta's motivations were pretty explicitly stated, and Kokichi's behavior before and during the trial also supports his involvement as an accomplice. Not just a mastermind pulling the strings, but--
Kokichi is literally saying "Yeah you know maybe all of us dying except the culprit isn't actually that bad. It's just another way to end the killing game."
Where as before,
During Case 2's investigation (and this goes into case 3 as well btw) You can see this as him putting on a mask or him genuinely not taking things seriously, but the sentiment is still the same--
The game is to find the culprit and win.
Don't you think that's strange? Don't you think Kokichi's behavioral shift from "I'm going to find the Culprit and Win" to "It might be okay if everyone dies actually" is really strange? Especially since this is the sentiment he keeps through case 3 as well. So from one case to another, him going from "Gotta catch the culprit to live and win" to "Actually dying is okay" is a drastic change in behavior.
He also proceeds to continue this behavior in the trial by not immediately telling everyone who the culprit is. Just like Aoi, he purposefully hides information about who killed the victim to mislead the class.
He only reveals halfway through the trial after everyone believes Shuichi's blatant lie over him--which is the final straw that broke the camel's back, and he snaps.
Anyway I think I've rambled on long enough fndkjfnsjd
So yeah. Case 4 is V3's "Group Kill Attempt" case that follows the trope of the first two games. At least that's my opinion, and all that I said before is why I think that way.

tetsu tachibana, for the character ask?
How I feel about this character I MISS HIM i recently replayed 0 to get the legend achievement (as well a few hidden achievements i missed the first go around) and i teared up at some of the scenes with him.... tachikiryu server has renewed my love for him... i am very well fed.
All the people I ship romantically with this character pretty much just kiryu, tbh. he doesnt have many good ship options lol oda's there. and while oda is hot. hes also terrible. so he doesnt deserve it. i did read one really good post-y0 au fic with tachibana/kiryu/majima that i thought was very cute. it was mostly kiryu stuck between tachibana and majima, rather than tachibana/majima, but what interactions they did have were amazing. would love to see that polyship expanded upon, ESPECIALLY tachibana/majima!!
My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character* thinking about it... tachibana doesnt really interact with anyone other than kiryu and oda. there are mentions of him interacting with kazama off-screen but thats literally it... i could put kiryu and tachibana here, because i do also enjoy them as friends. especially if you consider kiryu reconnecting with old friends after getting out of prison. i also want to put makoto here. man. there isnt much a canon relationship here, but just the idea of it... i want them to see each other. please let the siblings interact, rgg. stop breaking families apart...
(*reworded this one because it was somewhat confusing otherwise)
My unpopular opinion about this character i havent read enough opinions on him to know whats unpopular lmao... maybe a weird opinion? but if y0 started differently, ie kiryu not leaving the family, he would have made an AWESOME villain. a civilian matching the yakuza in levels of power and influence, as well as fighting prowess?? come on. thats badass. super intimidating too, when you consider his whole omniscient working-in-the-shadows schtick.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. NOT FUCKING DYING ???? NOBODY LIKED THAT !!!! literally like, if you can work makoto into kiwami 2, you can do SOMETHING that doesnt involve killing the majority of the main cast just because its a prequel and they dont show up in later games. even just a quick mention of how he's doing off in a different city or something. a substory maybe where you hunt down the last of his enemies... cmon man. throw us a bone here.....
send me a character!

The only ending everyone seems to ignore is v3 because it’s just... it’s just a mess.
How do feel about this game survivors? And do you think that everyone woke up from the simulator or tv show like sdr2 or only the survivors?
Hoo boy...
Honestly nonny, having only finished the dang thing yesterday I... don't know.
(I kinda went off into a spiel, so feel free to skip to the part where I talk about survivors and what I think happens next)
I understand the mixed response a LOT. I mean- I see what they were going for. The 4th wall break was cool, and the (sorta?) reappearance of past characters was pretty damn awesome. I like that the creators are definitely self aware- and there's a kind of 'learn to laugh at yourself' sort of thing.
On the other hand it can almost seem a little too mocking?
I get the whole yaknow. 'Fictional characters are aware they're fictional and rebel against their creators' thing but- like-?
As I mentioned before, thing is, Tsumugi is not us? We aren't exactly intentionally cruel? There's a BIG difference between the kind of fiction in our world and in their world.
What does Tsumugi call it? "Real fiction"?. Yeah- thing is- we don't have that. We don't have the technology for it, and I certainly hope we wouldn't abandon ethics for it either!!! We can't have 'real' fiction, because in our world, all fiction is fake! The closest you have is fiction about real people, perhaps, but- that's not even remotely the same thing?
So it does come across as a little... um- preachy.
We're supposed to represent the audience but... like- the audience fucking suck! What was that they said during the argument armament? "This guy should have died instead of Kaede!" Like- fucking hell. Imagine saying that to someone, who can HEAR you say it, and who's MURDER you could potentially watch unfold before your very eyes as a result of YOUR actions. I mean- look how empathetic some of us are to ACTUAL fictional characters. Could you imagine if we were in a similar situation to the outside world in V3???
Maybe it's because I keep imagining the v3 cast as like- sentient AI, instead of "just fiction". Because I can't imagine anyone being so sadistic or apathetic otherwise.
So uh- yeah. I don't... know how I feel about that. It's not- very satisfying?
With sdr2, the whole "none of this is real, the killing game is all a lie, you're in a fake world!" felt like a relief ! Whereas here it's more like- "what?? It's all fake? What the hell was the point then?!"
"Nothing matters!" vs "nothing matters..."
The whole HOPE VS DESPAIR, FUTURE VS PAST thing worked, because, well, it's something we can all understand. We have all felt hope and we have all felt despair. We've all, at some point in our lives, felt stuck in the past, unable to or scared to move on.
(Hey- some of us still feel like that now, even).
The first game was very simple- hope and despair. Still relatable, but fairly basic- effective to set up the foundation for the follow up.
The second game made things a little more complicated. Sometimes it's more complicated then just- choosing between Hope and Despair. We refuse to fall into Despair, but we can't just blindly have Hope.
So we choose the Future. We can't promise it'll be a good one OR a bad one. But whatever happens- we need to move on. The only way we can make things change is by making that choice, to create our OWN future.
V3 felt very... complex. It started to get kind of... uh... philosophical? And- don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with that. It just... it kind of shifted from TRUTH VS LIE to FICTION VS REALITY. And whilst the latter definitely sounds interesting- I don't really know if I liked the direction they took with it-? I wish they'd kept the focus on TRUTH VS LIE a lot more.
(Fiction and Reality are like extensions of Lie and Truth but- only to a certain extent? Really?)
It's kind of harder to get into the final fight in V3 because... what are you fighting? The outside world? I mean- I can't speak for the rest of you, but as far as I'm aware I'm not a fictional character.
(If I am- then wow someone's a reallly bad writer huh?)
I can relate to Hope. I can relate to Future.
I can't relate to Fiction.
I THOUGHT maybe the message was a warning of the dangers of escapism ('please dont go as far as to erase your own personality just to be a part of a type of fiction you like' definitely seems fitting for this fandom)- but the message "fiction has the power to change the world!" kinda contradicts that. I mean- I do like that message, but- I don't like the idea of a series about killing games being heavily influential-!
The whole problem was that people grew so obsessed with the series that they threw away their lives! Is that not the point you should be focusing on-!!!!
The outside world in this universe fucking sucks. So they changed their mind, big DEAL! that's not comforting knowing they let this shit continue for 53 seasons-! I mean, maybe Makoto and Hajime were all 100% fictional, but at some point they started putting real people into these games, and everyone was ok with that!
I just-
I'm glad Shuichi got through to them at last but...
Someone said something which resonated with me- "in a vacuum, this is good". Like... on it's own, I thought the ending was great! It was entertaining, for sure. And the whole concept and stuff was unexpected and interesting. You gotta give em points for originality.
The problem comes with it being the 3rd game in a series. (Ignoring UDG I mean-). When a series becomes a Trilogy, you gotta make it good. This is presumably the last game in the (main) series too. And- after the UTTER NARRATIVE DISAPPOINTMENT of dr3- can you blame people for wanting more? People fell in love for THH and SDR2 (and UDG even if its not part of the main series) for a reason- and, for me at least, a biiiig part of that reason was the continued storyline. The last chapter of sdr2 was the hypest shit EVER. when you see glimpses of the previous game bleed into this one, only for it to turn into what's like- a full crossover???? The previous game isn't just mentioned, it's a straight up sequel!!!! I had absolutely no idea Makoto and co would return (i thought the games were separate) so when i saw that they'd be interacting with the new cast- yoooooooooooooooo-!
Hell, even seeing alter ego again made me go WILD.
V3 plays upon these expectations, and subverts them, but... not necessarily in a good way? You- kind of feel cheated? (Idk if you're an avengers fan, but- it's like expecting *Endgame* and instead getting...
Well- Endgame).
The ending isn't bad persay it's just- not quite what one would expect? I can definitely understand why people are disappointed. The problem is, instead of standing alone, you can't help but consider it as part of the series. Individually, I don't think the ending was that weak or bad, but in comparison to the series as a whole?
Meh.
SURVIVORS
(Oh my- I really got off track, oh dear. I'll- get back to what you asked now.)
KEEBO
W H Y
They rllly gonna rub salt in the wound huh?
(Whilst i dont dislike the other survivors, there are a LOT of people i really really wanted to see make it to the end, and it's just the final god damn nail in the coffin to kill off the last of the few characters I came even close to liking the most-)
Killing keebo was dumb
Maki- I liked Maki quite a bit! She's a bit cold, yeah, but I warmed up to her after hearing her backstory.
I found it annoying (if understandable) that no one trusted her at first. I thought it was sweet that her, Kaito and Shuichi had this friendship trio. They really trusted each other- it was very refreshing. I also love me a strong girl. Her romance thing with Kaito was a little... forced. I'd have found it more meaningful if they kept it more subtle/ambiguous (though i suppose they needed smth to use against her in the final trial sooo-).
Himiko-
I-
*sigh*
Ok I'm going to say this once, and once only.
Someoneonthedrteamhasabigthingforlolis
OK! I SAID IT- AND IM NEVER SAYING IT AGAIN
No judgement here of course. Just. Uh. Y-yeah-
(I'm mainly kidding of course, idek if Himiko counts as a loli but-)
I mean... I'm not... the fondest of very small, childish girl characters (Saionji intensifies). I like a bit of childishness in a character but- i mean- it depends.
(I'll never recover from the "seductive whisper" thing from the love suite event
Never.
Never ever.)
Himiko comes across as like An Actual Child at times and at the start it was VERY annoying. Surprisingly, I warmed up to her eventually. I knew in advance she'd be a survivor so i kinda thought "well she's gonna stick around so might as well try to like her". I do appreciate that she underwent a character arc too, and it was sweet to see how she became a more active, determined person. I wish it hadn't taken Tenko's death for her to finally start changing but whatever. She is quite a cute character and after a while became more endearing then annoying.... (for the most part).
Was she in my top 3 picks for a survivor? No.
The top 10 even?
N-no-
I'm glad she's still alive though. SOMEONE damn well needs to be.
Tsumugi- ah. She's not a survivor, is she? I knew well in advance she was the mastermind so I didn't really warm up to her all that much during the final chapters, for obvious reasons.
Shuichi- if shuichi hadn't survived I think that would have been the breaking point for me, honestly.
Overall- uh... they aren't... the ideal picks. Shuichi is the only one I really wanted to see survive, I was neutral towards the others. Tbh I was just happy anyone was alive by the end of that.
Waking up- for the sake of my sanity, I like to think that after the survivors wake up, they threaten to sue and/or maim the shit out of the dr team if they don't start on reanimating their 'dead' friends right fucking now. Surely they gotta keep their consciousness' somewhere in those memories banks right? I mean- what if they ever wanted a "surprise return from the dead" plotline? Surely they gotta keep em somewhere? Right?
Whether or not they reawaken as their in-game or pre-game selves, who knows. Whichever you prefer, I guess. Maybe a mixture of both.
#ahdhsjsjsj#i am Tired ^tm#this makes me sound more disappointed with the ending than i am djskshsjs#im not actually as salty as i sound ok i promise-#im just naturally pessimistic#ironic coming from a makoto stan but wygd#v3#rambling#thoughts#my post#anon#long#jajakdjsjs i went overboard again oops

i love ryuji and you can’t change my mind.
im sorry i just can’t stop thinking about the ryuji hate I got and i feel the need to explain myself as to why i love ryuji so much despite the fact that, yeah, he is problematic--of course i know hes problematic. people who choose to ignore canon are valid and its ok to do that, i mean, that’s what fandoms are for (fandoms are made to take what you like about something and make it your own--i do it literally every time i write a fanfic, it’s normal, you all know this). but for now, yeah, im focusing on canon ryuji. he is not perfect--by far, id say he is the second most problematic character in the main cast. he is rude, he is so perverted, he doesn’t understand when to stop being (frankly) an asshole. he can’t take a hint, he’s vulgar to the point where he makes people around him uncomfortable. but i love him, because his good overrides his bad. you all know it by now--he’s kind, loyal to a fault, an idiot but in a really really endearing way, he’s honest, he’s headstrong, he’d do anything to protect his friends (fight harus fiance, almost get hit by a car for makoto, stand with Ann when she thought yusuke was dangerous, yell at shido because he found out hes the one who made akira go on probation, the list goes on).
So, why did atlus make him problematic? two possible reasons, i could be wrong but this is just what i think.
1) because Atlus wants to make a character who isnt perfect. correct me if im wrong, but there are little to no characters in the entire game who is part of the main cast and is flawed. seriously. everyone is pretty much a saint after they get past their initial entry arch. atulus wanted to make a character that felt more realistic, that felt whole and real--someone who isn’t as cookie-cutter good guy as the rest of them (this is NOT a bash to all the other characters in the game in ANY WAY i love all of them as they are all my children). It’s interesting to have someone to play off the rest of the group’s dynamic by having someone who is different from them. variety is the spice of life, and clearly thats what atlus is going for here. I havent play persona 4 myself but apparently the characters there are a lot more interesting yet very hit-or-miss as all of them have their own distinct and loud (apparently sometimes overwhelming--not in a good way) personality and one of the biggest complaints about persona 5 (which i dont agree with, but bringing it up for the sake of argument) is that the characters all feel very mild in the sense that they wanted them to all be likeable--hence, brash characters wouldn’t fit that because brash characters are sometimes too intense to be considered likeable. again, i dont agree, but maybe this is why they wanted to add a character that doesn’t conform to that “you have to be likeable type.”
2) because atlus struggles with what is funny vs what is offensive. this is not a new statement. if youve been in the p5 fandom for long enough im sure youve seen a post somewhere about this but THIS is my take on it. atlus excels at story writing, and is really good at well timed humour (i mean, we ALL have a favorite p5 one-liner, mine is “ryuji, go piss off the police” but i digress). however, in its attempt to bring in comedic relief to break up the monotony in the story, they tend to just use ryuji. this is probably (in my opinion) p5′s biggest flaws. they have so many other characters to utilize and experiment with in terms of comedic situations (which they have done and succeeded plenty of times), but sometimes the cracks reveal themselves and they end up just using the “vulgar boy” for a couple of laughs. we’ve all probably watched anime, seen how blatantly sexist it is and how sexualized they make their female characters (too many examples come to mind), and unfortunately, p5 is no exception and has given that roll of “the creep” to ryuji because it was the easy way out. Morgana is too, sometimes, but definitely definitely not to the extent of ryuji.
to clarify, this post is not saying that we should allow ryuji to be this asshole--fuck no! we should try and understand why he is, definitely, but we should never excuse this behaviour. it’s simply the case of loving this character and breaking them open to try and understand why they are who they are.
i love this boy (obviously), he is my favorite persona 5 character by far, but he is problematic, and that is okay. learn to digest his fuck ups, understand what he’s doing is wrong, and move on. make art, write fanfictions, create gifsets--because what you take from the characters is what they boil down to; that’s the point of fandom, after all.
dont let anyone take away this character from you, especially now, because for many people (including myself), persona 5 and its characters are the only thing keeping them afloat during this really fucked up time of pandemics and being stuck at home.
#thank you for coming to my ted talk#mine#p5#persona 5#sakamoto ryuji#OKAY IM DONE sorry i dont get hate a lot so whenever i do i get really antsy until i do something about it#my moon and stars

Braving the Elements
Chapter 20: Another Party
Part 1/2
Tw: Swearing, sex in pt2
Authors note: TWO IDIOTS IN LOVE, yes this was inspired by moulin rouge dont @ me. love u all❤️❤️
Both versions r so good they both get included!
“He really thinks he’s James Bond doesn’t he?” Wanda laughs
“He sure does, much better ass though.” you respond the other two nodding in agreement as you head into the board room for the briefing. Everyone gathers in and Tony pulls up an infographic on the main targets, who they were, how they may be contributing, and the best way to get information out of them.
“So, Nat and Sam, we want you to engage with those I’ve identified as “salespeople”, act as if you, as non-mutants, are interested in obtaining temporary powers. I’ll be with the investors, acting as though I’m hoping to get in on the ground floor. Wanda if you wouldn’t mind, pretend like you’re interested in the genetic side, say you would be willing to donate some DNA but you need to know how it’s being used and processed first. Y/N you’ll help Wanda but see if you can get to the seedier parts of their operation. Based on your dubious past and ties to Roman they may be more inclined to share any less than legal aspects with you. Everyone else you’re there to keep up appearances, don’t interfere, play along. The most important thing is that we do not reveal what we know already. Everyone needs to pick a target and latch on for the night”
“ (y/n) you get the hot one!” Wanda exclaims
“Why?” you ask, forgetting that people didn’t know about you and Bucky.
“Cause you're single and hot so it should be easy for you to seduce him.” Tony says.
“Well put Tony thanks for the objectification” you say, rolling your eyes. The guy was hot and rich, and probably full of himself, used to getting what he wanted. Getting information out of him would be a breeze.
“Fine i'll use my womanly wiles” you say making some spooky hand gestures.
You quickly look to Bucky to see if he’s appreciated your joke, but he’s avoiding your gaze. You notice his jaw is clenched and his body seems tense, you wonder what’s got him in such a mood. You go to ask him but he’s gone by the time you stand up. Shrugging you follow Wanda into Nat’s room to get ready. Sitting down on her bed you feel something poke you in the butt. Reaching under the sheet you pull out a whip.
“Oh my god do you use this on Steve?” you ask throwing it at Wanda
“Wait what??” Wanda exclaims, tossing it onto the ground in disgust and surprise.
“Shit sorry Nat!” You exclaim.
“How long!” Wanda asks. Nat goes on to explain about that night you all went out together and then again in Russia and how they’ve talked about dating but didn’t want to have it fully out in the open yet because of the press and all the paperwork that would go into it, but they were very much exclusive.
“How long have people known?”
“Well Y/N and Barnes saw us in the kitchen and he told Sam immediately. Literally the second he could, and I was going to tell Wanda and Vision tonight but” she gestures to you.
“Sorry! So what, you going steady now?” You ask giggling
“Ya, how does it feel to date someone who can get a senior discount?” Wanda riffs off of you. Nat jumps on the bed hitting you two with pillows, instigating an all-out war only calling a parlay when you realize you were all going to be late if you didn’t get dressed. Unlike last time you actually had a dress procured for you, one of the benefits of being a hero, people sent you free stuff now. Your dress was a deep forest green. The off the shoulder top was decorated in overlying fabric leaves lined with gold beading. It cinched at the waist and gently flowed out with a slit going up the right side. You wear your hair down in waves and you finish it off with a headpiece. It’s a crown made of gold branches twisted together with a few gold leaves and flowers scattered throughout.
“You look like a goddess.” Nat says, looking at you as she puts in a diamond earring. She’s in a scoop back mermaid black dress with a high neck, simple, elegant and gorgeous.
“Well you’ll fit Sam’s need for a bond girl!” you say, linking your arm in hers and heading out to meet Wanda and Vision in the lobby. Wanda’s in a satin hi-lo plum colored dress that matches Vision tie, it has a halter top, and her hair’s twisted up. Vision escorts Wanda into the venue and you and Nat go in behind them. Nat nods her head towards the bar, she’s spotted your target. You let go of her arm, straighten your dress and pull your hair forward. You make your way over to the bar, stopping next to him and pushing your hair to the side to expose your neck leaning over in an attempt to get the bartender's attention. You can feel your target staring at you.
“Hey aren’t you that mutant girl,?” he asks, you turn to look back at him, biting your lip as you do so.
“How often does that line work out for ya?” you laugh
“Rarely, but for someone as pretty as you I figured it was worth the risk.” he smirks
“Well flattery will get you everywhere, Y/N.” you say extending your hand
“Pleased to meet you, Max Van Der Bilt, what are you drinking?” he asks, kissing it.
“Whatever you’re having” you say smiling at him. He beckons to the bartender and orders two double vodka sodas. Bucky’s standing near the bar, trying to get an optimal vantage point on you. You looked beautiful, statuesque, he'd never seen anything like it. You looked like something out of a Greek tale. He wanted to tell you that, he wanted everyone to know that you had chosen him, but instead he’s stuck watching you flirt with another man. He feels his heart ache. He tried to calm himself and stop the feelings he was having, but he can’t fight against them. He reminds himself that it was all just an act, but he can’t help but fear for the worst. Why had you agreed to go for the only attractive target. Why did he suddenly feel like he was being deceived by you? Everything you did when you were alone with him, you were doing with this other guy, was this just some big game to you? He’s pulled out of his thoughts by Nat elbowing him in the ribs lightly.
“I said, god what’s got your panties in a knot?”
“Nothing.” He grunts out. Following his eyeline Nat notices he’s burning a hole in the back of your head.
“Fuck Barnes relax she’ll be fine she can handle herself. Besides what’s he gonna do to charm her to death?”
“Where’s Steve?” He asks, downing another drink.
“Oh somewhere playing his part.” She says, handing him her drink saying he looked like he needed it more.
“How are things with you two?”
“Good. It’s actually really nice to have someone amongst all the chaos, someone who gets it, ya know. Also doesn’t hurt that he’s a snack with an ass that won’t quit and superhuman stamina.” She responds.
“Alright didn’t need to hear that.” He cringes.
Nat laughs “C’mon Barnes there’s plenty of hot girls here go after one maybe you’ll finally relax.”
“Go after one? When have I ever needed to do that?” he says smiling.
“There’s the lady killer I’ve heard so much about.” She says, patting his arm and heading off towards the bar. Well, if he was supposed to keep up appearances he shouldn’t be standing alone in a corner should he. He makes his way over to a nearby group of women who had tried to approach him earlier. Apologizing for his abruptness he begins conversing with them, hoping to get a rise out of you. You’ve moved into a booth and Max is droning on about genetics, which are super interesting but not when they’re being condescendingly explained to you. I mean seriously you were a literal mutant, you’ve known the basics of genetics since middle school thanks to Charles. You tilt your head trying to get a look out into the rest of the party. You see Bucky with a group of women laughing letting them feel his metal arm up, amongst other things. You feel hurt, no let down. Why was he doing this? Did he always act this way when you weren’t around? Have you been played for a fool?
“It’s a shame you know,” Max says loudly, catching your attention once again.
“Pardon.” you respond, turning the charm back on.
“That all mutants aren’t beautiful like you then society wouldn’t be so afraid.”
You’ve never wanted to punch anyone more, but you don’t have the information you need yet so you force a laugh and gently touch his arm.
“So this genetic coding, how do you extract the gene?”
“It’s a simple process using DNA from hair, nails, teeth or bone. We don't need much, just one strand of hair is enough to create an entire dose.” He touches your hair moving it behind your shoulder.
“And where do you get your samples from?” you ask allowing your leg to cross slightly over his.
“That is classified information, but you may just get it out of me” he laughs, placing his hand on your thigh, rubbing it gently. You know you’re close to getting what you need.
“I think I may know a few ways to do that.” you smile
“Let’s dance” he says “They say private conversations are best had on the dance floor.”

Just Another Arcana Fan Theory
Ever since I’ve read the last update of the Arcana game, I wasn’t really able to get my mind off of it. I’ve been pondering on it a lot since the characters and the plot is somehow inspired from bible scriptures, most especially on the book of revelations. These are just some of my speculations tho, everyone can either agree or disagree on it, or even better, discuss their own theories with me as well. I just want to talk about the 7 seals theory, a bit on the 4 horsemen and some of my conjectures on what happened.
So first off, remember how everyone in the fandom suspects the Vesuvian courtiers to resemble the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse? Welp, I’ve suspected as much too. For those who still has no idea about this, the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse came forth when the first 4 of the 7 seals were broken. I’m not going to tackle much about this since I guess there are already a lot of posts about it.
to summarize the 4 horsemen theory, it goes like this:
Quaestor Valdemar is likened to the first horseman (pestilence/infection) since they seemed to enjoy and would like to relive the times of the plague. Also note that the horseman was riding a white horse, which the main color motif of Valdemar’s clothing.
Pontifex Vulgora is likened to the second horseman (war). Vulgora’s personality often depicted their love for conflict and destruction. Vulgora’s main color motif is also red, much like the color of the horse of the 2nd horseman.
Procurator Volta is likened to the third horseman (Famine). As seen in Nadia’s route when the apprentice read Volta’s fortune, they said that Volta is always hungry, and will never fill the void no matter how much she eats. Volta’s clothing is black, like the third horse.
Praetor Vlastomil is likened to the fourth horseman (Death). Although it wasn’t quite obvious in the earlier books, but in book XI he was ultimately the one to decide death-- and obviously, he eagerly chose death upon Julian. His worms, in which he oh so loves, feed upon corpses. I’m thinking he is enticed by them because they devour death. Vlastomil’s complexion is pale, much like the color of the fourth horse.
The 7 seals theory
Okay so now that we’re done with the 4 horseman theory, I would also like to present the 7 seals theory. On Asra’s route in book XI he revealed that on the night of Lucio’s “murder” all of them were present-- the courtiers, Nadia, Julian and Asra himself-- and were trying to cast a spell to move Lucio into another body. That’s 7 people in total and there are 7 seals. If the first 4 seals were the courtiers then the next 3 ones should be Julian, Asra and Nadia. (I might be spouting some nonsense here but its just my theory)
In old roman custom, when making a will of the dying there has to be 7 witnesses and with each of the 7 witnesses, there shall be a seal. The will shall be written in a scroll and shall be periodically sealed from time to time until the scroll will be sealed with 7 seals. So when the time for opening the scroll comes, it shall be in sections, breaking each seal after another. I’m thinking that it’s okay to refer to Roman customs seeing that the courtier’s titles (e.g. quaestor, pontifex, procurator and praetor) were used and originated in Ancient Rome.
Now, i’m guessing the 4 seals have been broken so what’s next? Well it’s most likely to be the breaking of the fifth seal. In the bible, the breaking of the fifth seal is portrayed as Tribulation, where martyrs cry out in suffering. They were saints/innocents that were slain for their testimonies/faith and shall be resurrected. Okay, okay now this is were it gets weird. What if... Julian actually gets hung in the next book? But because of the seal, he shall be resurrected (hopefully!) It is heavily implied in all routes that Julian is actually not the one who “killed” Lucio (well at least not directly. Yes maybe he was involved but I’m betting that he isn’t the main culprit or even if he was, he’s not the only one) so maybe he really is innocent. Plus, he is very self sacrificing, like the martyrs in the book of revelations. Think about it, if Julian is slain just like the martyrs, then he too shall be resurrected, just like the martyrs. But seriously! My heart can’t take it if he actually does end up being a hanged man askdaksjdlasdg
The next arcana card after “Justice- XI” would be “The Hanged Man- XII” which gives us an idea of what to expect next. After the hanged man card would be... Death- XIII (Oh no, I don’t like the sound of that!) Let’s hope that I’m wrong here, but I guess someone will indeed die, most likely Julian.
After the breaking of the 5th seal would be, of course, breaking of the sixth seal (The fall of celestial signs/bodies) in which involves eathquakes (like how the ground violently shook when the red beetles rose from the well during Asra and the apprentice’s investigation), a darkened sun, blood red moon (oohh red, its hinting the ubiquity of the red beetles). Plus! Here's the catch. The tarot cards after Death- XIII will be as follows: Temperance- XIV, The Devil-XV, The Tower-XVI, The Star-XVII, The Moon-XVII, The Sun-XVIII. I dont know what lies ahead in the following chapters but I guess it definitely has something to do with the 6th seal and the celestial bodies. Feel free to discuss it with me. I have a lot of thoughts on the sixth seal and as well as the seventh but I’ll post about it some other time hehe.
SO... one might ask, what happens after breaking the 7 seals? Well, the bible said it will be the start of the second coming. Where Christ will be in a new form and come again on Earth. Now let us compare this to the game. They were all trying to move Lucio to another form right? But in this case, the devil. My conjecture is that the spell didn’t end right because the seals didn’t work/break OR something else was up. In Book X of Asra’s route, Asra gave a comment to Lucio when his seal/symbol glowed. Lucio said to him “For someone with this, you’re high and mighty about following the rules. And look where it got you, your sweet little MC is here by your side.” Asra then answered, “Look where it got you, stuck on the incorporeal plane...” Asra was hinting that the seal had something to do with Lucio’s current form. Thus he wasn’t able to take a new form and completely transform into the devil. If we follow this line of thought, then perhaps if all of the seals are broken, then Lucio will take unto his complete new form.
Additionally, it was stated in the bible that the only one who could open and break the seals would be “the Lion of Judah” and the "Lamb.”... Lion huh, sound like someone we know, it’s just that he was a, oh i don’t know... caged lion. Or it must just be a coincidence.
Now who is this lamb? Is it the apprentice? Welp, i still don’t know, maybe the lamb isn’t significant in the story OR maybe it is... Anyone has an idea? The apprentice somehow has something to do with what happened to Lucio, seeing as all of those who participated have lost their memories, including the apprentice. But why the memory loss? Asra said that Julian and Nadia “chose to forget” and I bet Asra and Muriel remembered everything... but how about the apprentice? And where does Valerius fit in? I have my own theories too, but I’ll discuss them in another post since this post is getting longer than I expected haha.
Again these are just some theories and hullabaloos that have plagued my mind ever since. Feel free to add your thoughts on this~ I may or may not have articulated this properly tho haha but I tried my best to explain each point.

Night of the Full Moon Character Reviews: The Big Bosses(Minus Werewolf)
Hello again
I know I said I’d be talking about the Hunter, Old Mage, Fallen Priest and so on today, but I realized that those characters were actually more interesting in the context of other characters, so I put them off for later. I decided instead to talk about the main bosses of the game, as it so happens, are the closest people to Red Riding Hood. Because this game wants to be an ironicy soap opera/anime that way.
When I say Big Bosses, I mean that you always fight one of these characters at the end of the game. Unless you’re like me and you start all over at the end because you’re bored and tired of all four of them playwise.
Werewolf
Wait, no, never mind. This is another one of those characters who’s more interesting in the context of different, non-Red Riding Hood Characters. We’re saving this boi for later. But, you shouldn’t too surprised, if you read the title. Instead, I’ll just use this space to talk about a mechanic.
Throughout the game, you can get ‘courage’ and ‘reputation’ points by talking to characters. Very very generally speaking, you get courage points by doing brave things, and you get reputation points for doing nice things. You also can get courage points when a character talks shit about the werewolf, and reputation points when a character talks shit about the witch. So naturally, if you have more courage in the end, you get to fight the wolf, and if you have more reputation, you get to fight the witch. I guess what they’re going for is only a meanie would fight this doggo? And the witch is who any empathetic person would hate???
I feel like the latter is not the case, but more on that later.
Witch
“Only your Hope family can lift the dark magic curse. This is what the priest is most afraid of. That’s why monsters run wild on full moon nights. First they made your grandmother disappear and then they drew you into the forest...but they never anticipated that you would make it this far.”
By the way, you’re part of a prophecy. Only someone in your family can lift the curse on the forest. jsyk
Yeah so, as you see, the Witch’s description does not really tell us much about the witch herself. This description also pretty unique in that none of the other character descriptions go into the second person like this. The description also kind of hints that Red dies in the timeline where she fights the witch, so that’s depressing.
Nah, to figure out what the witch is about, you have to delve into the fragments around her.
So, you actually do encounter the witch earlier in the game. In the third or sometimes second chapter, she will recruit to find some magic apples she lost. She makes a mention about suspecting a queen of stealing them. The apples, I guess, are just lying around on the forest floor, and you bite into each of them bc you’re a dumb lkid. Each apple changes your stats by a few points and the witch does not at all seem upset that you hand her a bunch of bitten fruit at the end. In fact, she offers you the choice of two random buffs, so that’s fun.
You’re likely to hear about her way before that, though, depending on who you talk to. Generally anyone who’s been cursed feels like it’s the witch’s fault.
But if you choose to fight her(or you might not get a choice in the matter) she accuses you of stealing said apples. She’ll also talk to you throughout the battle until you defeat her- a trait that only the big bosses and a few of the newer ones have. Her lines...make her sound pretty unhinged. She’s speaks of disbelief that you would do such a horrible thing, and threatens you with with her magic, and talks about how misunderstood she is.
When you defeat her, she’s got a really interesting line, tho.
“No! I don’t want to fight you! I can’t!”
Huh.
Before I move on, let me talk about this other witch character.
Yep. That sure is the art style this game is going with.
So this is one of the shopkeepers. There are four different shops you can find along the way, only two of which have characters you can see in them. This character is known as the Witch Apothecary...but you can only see that on the outside of her store. Otherwise she’s just called “Witch”.
The thing is, along the way, characters will talk about the Witch and, they don’t specify that it’s not the one with the white hair. They just talk about The Witch like she’s the only witch that matters. So is this woman not really a witch? A witch wannabe? Nah, we already have one of those characters. Could it me that the shopkeepers don’t actually exist in the story of the game? That would bum me out, bc there’s this lesbian owl I want to be real.
But...I think they’re the same person using shapeshifting. Or if you want a really wild theory, maybe there are time travel hijinks and she’s the Magic Apprentice grown up. But I’m going to go ahead with the former.
Anyhoo. I like the witch. I’m gonna give her 🍎🍎🍎🍎 four apples
Priest
“They mistakenly thought that on the full moon night they could help the monsters quietly eliminate Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother. Once the Hope family was wiped out, the legend of lifting the curse on the Dark Forest would disappear completely. However, they didn’t expect they would have to go personally and pay such a high price to fight their enemy. When the priest fell, the cursed monsters reverted to their human forms and the Dark Forest was no longer covered by snow all year round, but the church’s blind greed still remains.”
Again, not much is said about the priest himself. The most interesting thing here is that he apparently is the keystone holding the curse together. Interesting, because he seems to be letting the witch do all the work for him. Usually in these stories, you have to kill the person who casts the spell to break the spell, not just their friend. Is it because he, himself, is a stone? That is to say, he turns into a statue sometimes.
Why the heck is he having her turn all his enemies into cartoon monsters instead of killing them, anyway? Don’t tell it’s to make the game family friendly, bc in one of these timelines a child kills another child.
Honestly, the priest/church just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. His big plan is selling everybody from his town as slaves. Gross. And the way he accomplishes this is by...making it snow all the time, and turning people into vampires and fire bears? What?
He is. A delight to fight. I’m being sarcastic. He’s a religious edgelord who likes to go on about how humans are sinners and everyone deserves to be punished. Also she cheats by turning into stone. Eh.
It feels like someone just spun a wheel for of evil traits and just stuck them together haphazardly. His evil plan is...human trafficking! His personality is...self righteous! His means is...tf! His super power is...turning into a statue!
He’s the biggest of bads but also not that thought out. He’s super important to the over-arching plot and yet I have no idea why this guy does what he does. I’m gonna give him 🗽🗽 two statues.
Mystery Men
idek why this person is called “Mystery Men”. I’m guessing it’s supposed to be mystery man? Or mysterious person or something? I know I haven’t talked about the art much but, I do appreciate how much their face looks like a dog snout and her hood looks like dog ears. It’s a neat touch.
This description was actually changed. The new text is longer and more awkwardly worded. I don’t like it! And I don’t get why it happened.
But, yeah. The very last enemy of the game- who you can only reach by playing through at least four times and defeating all three others- is your Grandmother! Le gasp!
So what exactly went wrong with her? Oh, nothing, she just has a big wolf growing out of her back(told you the concept was backed up by canon)
Is this her daemon or patronus or something? I have no idea. I’ve been calling her a werewolf sometimes, tho, bc she’s better at being a werewolf than the titular werewolf. Which is to say she can revive instead of just healing. Her buffs and deck change throughout the fight. She’s a long battle, fun, except for her ear piercing voice. She sounds a bit possessed.
I’ll give her 👁️👁️👁️ three big eyes. She’s a fun battle, but I always mute it. Also not real big on how the text got changed for the worse. But she does add some good details to the story.
In Conclusion...
Grandma’s text tells us a few things.
1. Not only is the Hope family connected to this prophecy, but family members actually have the power to control the curse. That leads me to believe that the person who got the curse started was a Hope themself.
2. The church came along long after the curse was in full swing. So the priest is not responsible for it. Whether he’s a Hope himself is not relevant.
We also know these things:
1. The witch is still the one casting all the tf spells, which is part of the curse.
2. There are two timelines were Red has a natural gift for magic
3. In the Little Witch timeline, the Witch is teaching Red magic. On top of that she’s v patient, which is surprising, for some reason.
4. The Witch seems a little out of touch with reality. She sends you to find apples, and then yells at you for stealing them. Almost like she thinks you’re another person.
5. The witch verbally expresses her desire not to fight you when she realizes who you are.
I have to conclude that the Witch is a Hope. A Hope who’s close enough to have a fondness for Little Red Riding Hood, and is invested in her well being/education. And yanno, is turns her enemies into pig people because she can.
She helps you on your quest by giving you one of her own. But earlier on, she takes on the form of the other witch offer you potions and the like. She even gives you the first one in each chapter for free.
“My potions can change your appearance!”
Of course she can’t get too close to you. She can’t reveal that she’s helping you. Hence putting on a new face when she’s a ‘good’ witch. One wonders if she’s trying to hide her identity from you, or the people she’s allied with.
Hey can we look at her description again?
Red doesn’t get addressed in the second person in any of the other descriptions. There is a character who talks about his life in the first person, and we’ll get to him. But this is odd to me.
What if Red isn’t being addressed here? What if it’s someone else? What if it’s the Witch?
What if the Witch was captured and ensnared in the priest’s plot? What if he messed with her memory? So then who is she? Red’s sister? It seems like she’s been working with the church a lot longer than Grandma’s been missing. Also Grandma went into the woods on her own accord. You could say that the grief the church caused her *made* her go out, but it seems weak.
So maybe a Hope in another generation, who lost her grandmother to- either the church or monsters? Was it this other Grandmother who *started* the curse?
Dude, what if she’s your Mom?
What if instead of killing her the priest did...something...scared her enough to get her to work for him. And messed with her memory so she couldn’t conceive a way out? And sort of had her transfer the power of the curse to him so that people had to kill him to break it?
What if he had the Church Doctor scoop her brain out and put it in another lady’s head? Who knows.
I’m not certain about the witch being your mom. I think I would like that to be the case because it’s fun, but I’m not quite convinced yet. I AM certain, tho, that the Witch is a Hope, and she cares about you. She’s not just this cackling meanie turning people into flowers. She’s...complicated. And she needs help just as much as all the trapped monsters.

ok. listen i know i havent been here in ages and this isn’t an original idea but hear me out:
RWBY as a live action tv series, and our characters as the actors, actresses, and crew.
set in our world modern verse. featuring a small production company, employing and casting crew and actors from all over the world. not convinced yet? here’s why y’all should indulge me:
your muse canonically dead or afk? not anymore!! they produce the show now. or write it. or just hang out on the set when they’re free.
your muse a villain and hard to rp with other folk? not anymore!!! let them be pals with the most unlikely of other people. see how they deal with fndm hating their character. (or loving their char too much)
your char an oc? nOT ANYMORE. theyre canon chars now. maybe they write the show. direct. tell qrow off when he almost posts spoilers on twitter. ANYTHING
whats a crossover? the ocs you rp with are now actors/crew in their own universe’s movie/game/tv show. the chars from other fandoms are actors/crew in their source’s show/movie/game.
your ship a rarepair u jump through hoops to put together? not anymore!! their actors are shacking up.
lbr we’re all suffering the hiatus. who needs canon material for this!! they’re in shooting for the eps that’ll air in october.
seriously, how easy would it be to get,, literally the entire community involved in something like this. TAG ME IF YOU DO!!! i wanna see what folk come up with!!
still not convinced? here’s some ideas i came up with, with the help of @iruzurru and @rosescattered. obv if i mention your muse and you wanna get in on this dont feel like you have to follow these!! these are just meant to inspire™
under the cut, cause lONG:
taiyang and summer club together every year to fund a holiday for the entire cast and crew to celebrate the end of a season. they buy out an entire plane for the journeys and instigate travelling songs
taiyang is a writer for the show who played ruby and yang’s dad more as a cameo, but got given more scenes when the character proved rlly popular
summer is a writer too. noone, not even tai knows she’s gonna be playing summer when she shows up later in the show >:3c
emerald and cinder being best friends who play up icly for the fans. emerald throws down on twitter with anyone who harrasses cinder for playing a baddie
winter wasn’t an actor originally. she writes novels, but she was on set one day waiting for weiss to finish shooting so they could go to lunch.
she was given first dibs on an audition to play weiss’ ic sister and nails it. weiss insists she’s not even acting, she’s just Really Like This
winter writes fanfic of emerald/cinder on ao3 for shits and giggles dont @ me. noone knows its her bc she uses winter’s ic callsign as a username and ppl just assume its a winter fan
this is yang’s first big acting job, but she’s Known in celebrity circles because her mom is the Very Famous Raven Branwen.raven’s a household name
raven subsequently gets cast as her real mom because it just makes sense and would boost the series’ popularity following her guest appearance at the end of volume 2
qrow is very vocal about his character’s storylines and supports charities relating to substance abuse. he frequently finds himself in twitter discourse with fans because he loudly discourages romanticising his character
this gets him accused of hating his character, which he doesn’t. fandom either loves him or hates him
qrow and raven arent siblings but they might as well be because they’re so fking close and roast each other on twitter all the time
neo’s actress is actually a really famous opera singer who’s breaking into acting. this gives rise to the popular fanon that neo actually can talk and has a bitchin’ voice but chooses not to.
emerald’s an orphan. she bounced around kids homes and developed a great talent for lying in the process. hearing a drama teacher describe acting as ‘lying really well’ sealed the deal for her career choice. she’s had bit parts and lives in a shitty apartment until rwby becomes her first big break.
coco was a big actress in france. she came to america seeking to break into hollywood, and found it pretty difficult. she’s emerald’s roommate, and it’s emerald who tells her about the opening for a member of team cfvy and pushes her to audition.
ilia has to wear one of those green screen suits all the time so they can animate her scales. yang gets a selfie with her every time she’s wearing it. takes upon takes have been ruined by blake and sun laughing at her.
it annoys ilia at first. then, she starts to find it funny. then, she gets her own back by purposefully making people laugh. she does the yoshi mlem every time she cracks her whip.
pyrrha’s actress routinely gets bit parts and cameos in future volumes bc the cast and crew love her so much they want her around all the time. she’s like 50% of the reason a comedy mini-series where nothing bad happens exists alongside the main series.
the entire cast and crew rallying around cinder after v3 when the fan backlash comes from pyrrha’s onscreen death. they throw a party after to celebrate pyrrha and cinders great performances. its a greek theme
team rwby, smartasses that they are, all come dressed as achilles with little papier mache arrows stuck in their heels
weiss is a Career Showman. she started off in ballet, then moved to broadway, then onto the bigscreen. she’s had a huge amount of success despite how young she is, and was continually pushed to land greater and greater roles. she suffered a very publicised breakdown because of the stress.
she ‘disappeared’ in the showbiz scene when she went to live with winter in her remote little writing shack in the middle of assfuck nowhere to recharge.
rwby is her first acting job since then. she was hesitant to start back at all, but finds herself extremely supported and refreshed by the small, close-knit production.
blake’s had to work twice as hard for every role she’s ever landed due to being an ethnic minority. her professionalism makes her seem closed off and cold, so she hasn’t made many friends. she has a small, devoted fanbase, though.
summer is one of those fans, and has always wanted to cast blake in something. her character was written with her in mind, and summer was elated when blake accepted the proffered audition and subsequent role in rwby.
ruby is summer and tai’s daughter!! they are not shy at all about saying that her part was written For Her. they don’t apologise for it either fuck u they created this show they cast who they want.
the red trailer only initially existed for ruby to do a screentest of her character. it was so well produced and nailed so hard they made it promotional material and wrote the white, black and yellow ones to go with it.
ruby grew up reading her parents’ stuff and writing her own, too. in school, she wrote, directed and produced an entire play for her classmates, but never thought of acting until her parents suggested she play the lead in this new show they’ve been thinking about.
ruby and yang met on set. they’ve been thick as thieves ever since.
...AND SO ON I COULD DO THIS ALL DAY GUYS
#PHEW I SPENT HOURS ON THIS#seriously though i'd love it if we could revive the comm a little bit mid hiatus#and this seems like such a cool way to do it#as such FEEL FREE TO REBLOG#this isnt like a closed au or anything it's just an idea i'd love to see people play with!!!#PLS..... IM SO INTO THIS..... SUPPORT MY BRAND........

DCOM Rankings #99: Invisible Sister
My plan is to be done with these by the time the new DCOM: under wraps, premieres. I’m assuming this is a remake from the original in 1997. Although I think it would be cool to review that also to come full circle, but we’ll see!
Okay let’s get to the actual movie.
So to put my review of the movie in simple words, I thought it was cute! Like it was a genuinely cute somewhat entertaining movie! Again, if your throw basic logic and chemistry out the window.
As I’ve said with a lot of these reviews, DCOMS like to break reality a little bit, which isn’t a bad thing! It’s just if you’re gonna make people turn invisible, do it by magic or some otherworldly force, not by chemistry. Unless there’s elements within that world that don’t exist in this one. But I guess I never really complained about the cloning stuff in The Other Me. So it’s not like I’m going to be too harsh about it. It wouldn’t be fair.
So that aside. You have two sisters, one is an outcast, the other is popular. I like this, I feel like I do see it in other media but i think this is a somewhat fresh take on it. Right now 10 things I hate about you comes off the top of my head. But anyway! Cleo, the outcast sister, narrates the story but only at the beginning and at the end. Thank GOD. That’s totally fine with me! It really gets annoying when characters narrate throughout the movie, it like interrupts my thought process. But that’s just me. But yeah she’s just talking about being invisible and how it’s impacted her and yada yada yada…
So Cleo is really smart but she doesn’t apply herself, she just gets her straight A’s and that’s it. This is the part of the movie that makes me also question its reality. Her teacher, who is tired of her not being an active participant despite the passing grades, makes her do an entire original science project with a tight deadline and worth half her grade. And then she’s supposed to submit it to some conference. Like….teachers can’t do this, can they??? I get that teachers should want to push students in the right direction but this seemed a little intense…like not a push but an all out drop kick! Like I feel like that conversation would have upset anybody.
But she agrees and goes along with it because plot. They try to add humor in the movie with the farting hamsters and you know me I don’t like gross out humor at all. 1 it feels like the lowest common denominator and 2 it just personally makes me uncomfortable and feel secondhand embarrassment. That’s why I probably will never like Dont look under the bed, even though people are saying that it was good.
But yeah Cleo as a character is actually really interesting. Both sisters are! Which is probably why I like this movie a bit more than I thought I would. If you can get me to care about the characters, you’re set. Honestly that’s my only request with any movie/book/tv show. Just get me to CAREEEE. Anyway, Cleo is obviously super smart, but she doesn’t apply herself. We established that already, but she also doesn’t apply herself in other areas of life like dating or making friends. She just pushes away anyone that even tries to befriend her. She has one friend, the sidekick character, that she doesn’t see as a threat. But she also claims that no one notices her, that she is “invisible” in that sense. I wish the movie went a little deeper into Cleo’s insecurities. And to be honest I did not really pay attention to her narration at the beginning and at the end so it is possible that she addressed it then, but I kinda doubt that. But even though that is a character flaw it doesn’t make her a bad character. It makes her relatable and real, actually. I’ve personally met people like her who assume no one likes them and push away people before they get a chance to know them as a defense mechanism. Either because they’ve gotten hurt in the past or they have social anxiety or whatever it may be.
Then you have the other sister Molly. She’s popular and has a bf and has tons of friends and is loved by everyone. She’s on the lacrosse team, and probably part of several clubs at school. She’s very social and outgoing and friendly. But she hasn’t been that happy either. She’s being pressured with college scholarships and everyone puts her at a higher standard. She feels like she needs to keep up being happy all the time because that’s what people expect from her. She seems like she was jealous of Cleo because she had the freedom to be what she wanted instead of feeling stuck in a box. Again I WISH the movie would have gone deeper with these themes! Both sisters want what the other has and they grow to appreciate each other and really get to know each other.
The other characters are fine. I don’t have any complaints really, but they’re not really deep enough that I can really talk about them. So let’s talk about something else….likeeeee some of the artistic choices. So this could be due to budget issues but I’m glad they had Molly actually still be “visible” throughout the movie. That would suck to be cast as a main lead in a film only for you to be in it at the beginning and at the end. I like that even though no one actually sees her, she’s still there and the audience can better connect with her (and that the actress playing Cleo can have something to react to). I thought it was a neat touch for us to actually see her reactions to becoming invisible.
Now something that I don’t like that I already touched on but just one more aspect needs to be said. Going along with the fact that I wish that the movie went deeper with the themes, I wish the characters actually had a better conflict. I felt like both their developments were all over the place. I honestly thought the lacrosse game was supposed to happen at the end, but nope it happened about 20 mins in, and Cleo is already talking with the lacrosse team about her growth and it’s like….??? Barely anything has happened! Yeah some hijinks ensure throughout the school day but I felt like this talk should have happened wayyyyy later in the movie when they’ve experienced more hardships. Like, I wish the sisters hated each other in the beginning and grew to like each other by the end. It was just a bit of back and forth, with lots of development happening near the beginning and not much happening after that till the very end. It wasn’t a natural progression, even if it did progress.
Not sure what more I can say about this movie. I don’t quite remember the actual message of the film but I wanna guess it’s that you shouldn’t assume stuff about yourself or about what others think of you. Be your own person. Create yourself. I know Cleo said the word “invisible” 40 times because they try to use invisisbility as a metaphor and yea for the most part I think it worked?? I just don’t remember lol.
Let’s just go ahead and grade this thing. To sum up, I liked it and it was cute! Love the two main leads, like the message and the overall story. The plot/development was a little non-linear and there was no logic but it wasn’t enough for me to hate the movie. I would give this a B+. I was debating wether or not to put a plus there but I think I will find myself watching this again over the Halloween season. Maybe. (Yes I believe the Halloween season starts on October 1st).
Next movie i believe is based on a series of books that my friends used to read but I never did. I wonder what Disney channel had done with this one. Don’t know when my next review will come out but it’ll happen when it happens. Byeeee!

AWW C’MON FFXIV
one of the biggest barriers to me getting back into it is just how SLOW the beginning is when you don’t have any friends to help you out like it legit took me a whole week of constant grinding just to reach level 15! FIFTEEN! IUts really fuckin slow even by usual mmo standards! and like.. all that slow is supplimented by huge amounts of quests and story and being required to do that main story in order to access goddamn ANYTHING, such as (for example) the additional hairstyle customization options you get at level 15 which I KINDA GRINDED SIX DAYS FOR, ONLY TO FIND OUT I NEEDED TO FINISH 8 MAIN STORYLINE QUESTS FIRST.
Like normally i would be HAPPY for an MMO that has loads of well made story scenes and ties progression more to quests than to grinding. But its just.. so unappealing to me?? Its That One Style Of Storytelling That Turns Me Off Immediately. I fuckin hate pretentious fairytale stylings. like not even when its told in the nostalgic writing style of a kids’s story or has a fairytale art aesthetic, those are some of my FAVOURITE THINGS. Nah when its the nostalgic writing style of fuckin specifically shakespeare and the only aesthetic is fuckin tolkein AGAIN. Like its really fuckin noticeable that the entire FF series has a bazillion original species in every other game but as soon as they made an mmo its Now Only Elves And Dwarves And Giants. And like.. the one anime addition of catgirls, and also making orcs/demons fuckin boring bishounen people with ‘all men are dragony and all women are 12 year old lolis with hair decorations’ as a fuckin species trait.o r I guess maybe the roegadyn are both orcs and giants combined and the au’ra got all of the leftover terrible traits..? And that’s 80 times more obnoxious when everyone talks like YE OLDE FUCKIN LITERATURE CLASSE AYE MY BOY YONDER DAWN DOTH BREAK OVER BIGASS FUCKOFF MOUNTAIN, HERE TAKE A STICK AND KILL 5 SLIMES like they literally fuckin sub ‘nightsoil’ for ‘shit’. this is an actual thing that someone thought would sound clever and fantasy-ish, instead of like an internet parody... And as far as I know the japanese version doesn’t even do this?? And neither did japanese FF12?? I FEEL SO LIED TO! Like these two worlds are still the most simultaneously cliche and overdeveloped ever, but i would at least enjoy my experience marginally more if the wall of text didnt stretch out every word to its maximum syllable potential..
BUT YKNOW DESPITE THAT DESPITE THAT BEING MY PROBLEM I AM NOW SAD AT FFXIV MAKING EXACTLY THE FIX FOR ME
They added a REALLY interesting and Dear God Relief feature where you can literally buy your way to the start of the latest expansion, story-wise. Which is a really great idea tbh, it kinda sucks to see ‘level requirement 80 must have beaten main story’ on this entire separate thing that you just bought. Kid me was dumb and didnt read all the conditions on old FFXI stuff... And I mean, anyone who complains about this being pay to win is being a dumbass, since all it does is promote you to the base level required for that storyline. Like the maximum here is level 60 with the equivelant job quests finished, so like.. there’s at least One Thing that makes you less than horribly underprepared compared to everyone else, but you’re still just a newbie wearing big boy pants. You can never pay to win for any level anywhere near the cap, it’s just pay to skip the more boring beginner sections. And probably get your ass kicked after cos all u hav is base equipment and none of the optional sidequets content or learned experience from the actual story...
BUT STILL I’M MAD BECAUSE there’s no way to do this without skipping the story!! your 60 levels of beginner quests are flagged as complete and you can never even see what you missed unless you watch someone else’s lets play i guess
and I know I just said that the story is really cumbersome and slow and badly written and cliche and i have no investment in anything but like that’s only 99% true, I actually WAS interested in the job training plotlines! a smaller self-contained sidequest with a cast of mentor npcs and story directly tied to your combat strength, rather than having to mop up loads of way underlevelled quests arbitrarily just to unlock the ability to actually exceed that level. gahhh Also i have a soft spot for the thieves guild- umm i mean the ‘seamstresses’ (or what was the actual joke about it? i think that was the discworld version XD) Mostly because they don’t talk like overly fancy pricks but also dont have too much of an over the top fakey oliver twist poor person voice. have I mentioned how its double annoying playing this game as a brit and hearing EVERYONE as some american guy doing the most stereotypical accent? Its a japanese game, why did you even do this!! srsly, this and ff12 have so many of the same dub fail. Oh, but also i like the thieves guild cos their plot is actually somewhat interesting, with the secrecy and stuff, instead of just I Am Mentor Man I Am Good At Job But Probably Tsundere Or Something For Six Hours. Also nice that there’s a full cast of this piratey crew and you get to interact with bossman’s admin guys sometimes, and get a general sense that he’s the comedic bumbler that’s only kept alive by their competance. (I call it.. the Plumeria Principle..)
Oh and lol also even if i could skip the story bits I hated, i probably wouldnt cos this thing is so fuckin Lore that i’d be completely lost... T_T But aaaa its tempting!! Cos I picked a bad starting town that had a plot and mentor npc that I didnt really care for, and now i really wanna switch to (weirdly enough) the one for gridania the land of the most boring elves and none of the job classes I want to use. She was just a really cool character! I can’t remember the pirate town equivelant tho, I just think that was my fave town aesthetic and fave jobs and stuff but the npcs were boring. I want elf mom!!! But seriously after fuckin SO MUCH WORK getting to level 20 before i decided i wanted to restart AAAA and then i wasted a bunch of my money on appearance change coupons to try and sate the restart temptation but then i realised No It Was Elf Mom I Miss so now i have a bunch of that cash shop content on that character and its impossible to transfer or somethin?? i couldnt even figure out how to send money between your own characters, which sucks cos some really nice guy gave me 30000 gold for no reason when i first started up the game and i legit DID NOT KNOW HOW TO USE CHAT YET so i was like running after him all WAAAAIT LET ME FIND THE KEYBOARD TO SAY THANKS xD But then i was just using that character to check out some of the other intro towns, it wasnt my main so i never used the money :(
so yeah anyway now I’m stuck here grumpy and debating whether i should buy this aaaaa and i cant even remember the name of the clearly-a-thief-but-dont-call-it-that class so i can pick the right thing to buy... And also i dont know if this only skips job training quests and not main story quests? or if there’s any way to recap main story quests at least? so it might not be as bad as I think. And maybe i could just pick whatever class I hate most to get all the exp in, and then i can have the level requirement to use my damn expansion but still go back and restart another job questline. and it’d probably be easier lol with all the boosts of having some other job high levelled! wonder if there’s a job with a terrible plotline that jus coincidentally lines up as a great thief supporter...?
