we do love tng s1 - they were like oh I guess we should have some end of season drama so here's the evil lobster thingies that want to take over humanity and sent some kind of signal out before we destroyed their queen, and a bunch of top brass got killed and oh we'll literally never mention any of this again

I know the decision to have Julian's parents have him augmented was made on the fly but imo its pretty obvious from early on that Julian has Family Issues because he avoids talking about his family like the plague and I think they should've incorporated this into the Julian and Sisko dynamic right from early on because I think it would've made for some really compelling stories and moments and could've set up a REALLY interesting Julian and Jake dynamic which they kinda started to do but never fully went for

started watching TOS and then kirk and spock were reunited… watched the first three episodes of ds9 and caught up on lower decks and then garashir kissed on screen… guess this was a good year to get into star trek

it was my birthday on thursday and my mom decided it would be a nice idea for us to marathon the star trek tos movies all day if I had no other plans (I postponed plans to drink with my friends so I could stay in after she told me). after taking the piss out of The Motion Picture and her falling asleep halfway through Wrath of Khan I decided to switch it up a bit by asking if she wanted to watch the episode of tng that made me cry. I showed her The Offspring. she did indeed cry too.

but then… she became invested

I turned my mom into a trekkie through emotional manipulation and honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present

i love when there are smaller sub-plots that are never elaborated on. “yeah the delegates are eating each other in the background of this episode but the captain literally doesn’t have a physical body anymore you need to focus on that ahahahah!!” EXCUSE ME????

new season 4, bald sisko, more hair on kira, but the new updated intro song... ngl made my eyes water a bit just because i love star trek so much im overflowing with love for star trek i hope star trek content and fandom never dies its one of the things that just makes me happy every day because i believe in a star trek future!!!!!!!!!!!1
