Mona Lisa is the leader of Team Delta. She was kidnapped and mutated at the age of 12 just a couple months before Donnie and Raph. She would see them as well as Leo and Mikey in passing at the facility as they each got check ups and tests done in “the lab” but never had more interaction than that.

She has a very nonchalant yet playful personality. She loves to poke fun at people (especially Usagi) and tease them in subtle ways. She’s also very serious however, especially on missions and when it comes to her team’s safety and success. She has immense control over her reaction and emotions which leads her to be very good at keeping a cool head and coming up with plans in the heat of battle. Despite this she has a fire of passion deep in her and if she loses control the fire easily turns into an inferno that can be very difficult to put out.

Hiroshi Usagi/Usagi Hiroshi ( 飛呂士 ウサギ / ウサギ 飛呂士 ) (prefers to be referred to by family name Usagi)

Mutant Snowshoe Hare

Usagi second in command of Team Delta and was originally up for consideration to be their leader but was beat out by Mona. He was kidnapped and mutated into a snowshoe hare at the age of 11 and is a year older than Mona.

He has a very serious, no nonsense, and slightly grumpy attitude and can be easily irritated if he believes someone to not be taking a situation seriously. This is due to his belief in strict self discipline and duty to those he’s meant to protect, whether that be his team or humanity as a whole. He wants deeply to do what he believes is morally right and make the adults in his life proud. Despite this he occasionally does let his guard down to indulge in humor or relax in the presence of his friends/family. There is a tension between him and Mona from his belief that he failed in being good enough to lead their team as he is the only “__1” mutant to not be selected to be leader for his designated group. He is constantly trying to make up for whatever perceived flaws he displayed in his testing.

Venus de Milo

Mutant hybrid White-Lipped Tree Frog Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle

Venus is third in command of Team Delta. She was mutated at the age of 6 into a hybrid white-lipped tree frog kemp’s ridley sea turtle and is the only hybrid mutant to ever survive, even if it was just barely. Due to complications in her mutation she is a quadruple amputee and has prosthetics for all four limbs designed personally by her “guardian” Draxum.

Venus has a very calm and private disposition. She is also very guarded and slow to trust; very few people have even heard her talk. When you do earn her trust however she is fiercely loyal and protective.

Mutant Turquoise Dwarf Gecko

Mondo is the fourth and last in command of Team Delta. He was mutated into a turquoise dwarf gecko at the age of 8.

He remembers much of his life before mutation however he wasn’t fond of that life or his old family and tho he knows it’s messed up he believes that being mutated was one of the best things to happen to him if it meant it brought he and his teammates/family together. Mondo has a very laid back and chill personality. He’s very go with the flow and works best with little to no plan and lots of room to improvise. His jokester personality can be quite frustrating to deal with but he just wants to make those he cares about smile and relax whenever they can. He’d do anything for them when it comes down to it, even get serious.

like i love playing with the inter dimensional travel idea thats present in the tmnt adaptations w the kraang and ESPECIALLY the idea that the turtles can hop dimensions across the multiverse

what if theres a universe where the reader is the fictional superhero the turtles are huge fans of? or maybe readers just amazed that the ninja turtles are freakin real?? like 'oh hey i know everything abt you guys...so...ya reckon that portal will open up again sometime soon or..?'

they hop dimensions either accidentally or for some other purpose (maybe theres a rip in the multiverse caused by kraang or something?! and hero!reader is trying to track it down and mend it!)

they stumble into the turtles universe maybe mid fight or completely randomly and the guys are freaking out bc OMG?? its y/n!! THEYRE REAL??!!

I'll be honest the worst part of the love triangle in 12 to me (or at least the worst part of the fan reaction to the love triangle in 12) is the people who act like it's somehow Rob Paulsen and/or Mae Whitman and/or Josh Peck's fault that it's like that. I mean, putting aside the fact that blaming the VAs instead of the writers is not cool (and also the fact that Paulsen and Whitman are ridonkers talented as VAs-Paulsen has too many to name and Whitman just needs the two-hit combo of Katara into Amity Blight, Peck I have less to say as because I only really know him from Drake and Josh and 12 itself but he seems alright), they're not the only parts of their characters! Donnie and Casey get plenty of stuff to do outside of that, and while April definitely gets the short end of the stick there I can at least think of a few solid bits here and there. 12 has problems but it's really annoying when Rise ultrafans act like 12 is some blight on the franchise (we have Next Mutation for that thanks). (AND I LIKE RISE I STRESS)

lemme also say its not even always the writers faults either, cuz something about 12s writing issues i didnt give credit to was nickelodeon or playmates for how they clearly are behind the scenes saying "do this, do that". cuz all tmnt shows are shows made to sell toys and a lot of the time things that happen is also cuz some studio exec is coming in being like "hey! we need more _ cuz kids like _!"

but like if i can be absolutely honest when i say this and this is not even directed at you so like no offence to you or anyone who's got something to say about 12 or rise or whatever this is just like reminding me of the weird inter-iteration behaviour ive seen recently (like i browse tmnt crossover stuff cuz... obvs i wanna see crossover stuff, but lately i keep seeing nastiness)

but i have seen 12 ultra fans, i have seen rise ultra fans, i have recently seen just how weird and over the top toxic certain people who prefer either can be when discussing their non-favorite show and i just. can i just say. all of you guys. just... just stop interacting w the other people's media? if you dont like a rise fic, dont read it, if you dont like a 12 fic dont read it. if you dont like the characterization? the story? you think somethings ooc? like. its okay. its not for you, just let it be. people arent bad for writing it that way, its theirs. make your own art, interact w peoples art you do like!

anyway all this to say please dont talk to me about whatever drama has happened between iterations (its always those two) like... the issue is very much just gonna be a generational divide. thats all it is. 12 came out a time when the jokes were a bit meaner, and rise came out in a post steven universe era. both of these shows are good they both are just different genres. people from either side of it have different tastes because of the specific thing they like in tmnt. if rise fans think the 12 turtles come off toxic and you dont thats their business, dont interact w them. if 12 fans dont like how different rise is leave them to it.

specifically please leave me out of it, and just dont be mean to each other. putting someone on blast for their art or their perspective just makes you look like the asshole.

Did you hear that TMNT smash up was always going to be mainly the latest movie and 2003 show, and that the marketing was misinformed when they made the statement it'd be a big inter-continuity crossover,

Also funfact that's exactly how fans of Shadow Dragon/Marth games and pre Awakening games felt about Fire Emblem Warriors which said it would feature the game and be a big crossover, only to real just have Marth with the rest of roster being just Awakening and Fates.

No, I didn't hear that. Maybe they should have followed the game up with the crossover people wanted. I'm still surprised they haven't done it since not once, not twice, but THREE times they made movies or special episodes where the TMNT crossed over with itself several times in both TV and Video games.

Synopsis: Years ago, on Planet Utrominon, a messagenger delivers a statement from General Krang to Councilor Lorqa. A large holographic Krang tells Lorqa and his team of researchers living in an underground bunker that their mission will soon be over. They will soon depart for Planet Earth, as the Utroms have ultimately lost the war against the rebels lead by the Triceratons. Before joining them in the emergency bunker, Krang stops to see his father, Emperor Quanin, who thinks he came to gloat. Krang reveals to his father his secret plan enacted years ago. Krang brought together the leading scientists to develop new ooze technologies that would keep them alive in stasis, using what little ooze still exists. Krang explains that he had to keep it a secret from Quanin, because he would have ruined it like his father had ruined their empire. Krang tells him that he will bring the scientists through an inter-dimensional portal to a piece of land on Planet Earth called Burnow Island. Quanin brings up Krang's failure during his last trip to Earth (see Secret History of the Foot Clan Part ). As bombs begin to be dropped on the compound, Krang begs his father to accompany him but Quanin is too stubborn. Krang sees that his father is not worth the effort and departs.

On Burnow Island, present day, Baxter Stockman destroys the evidence of his flyborg in an incinerator. In a fit of rage, Stockman trashes his laboratory, fed up with being a prisoner on Krang's island.

Elsewhere on the island, the power is restored. Fugitoid debates whether or not to go forward with the next step of his plan, or to flee and destroy his body, so that his knowledge cannot be used to aid Krang in his efforts against the Neutrinos or others. He ponders his predicament, caught between the misguided ambition of Krang and the aggressive self-interest of Stockman. Fugitoid decides he cannot leave fate to those two and uses the computer to send out a message. Before the Fugitoid is sure the message was sent he is apprehended by a stone soldier.

Krang manages to make it back to the stasis room where the Utroms' vials are being refilled with ooze. He orders all of the scientists to get out. Krang thinks back to many years ago, when he carried out his plan to put the few surviving Utroms into hibernation. Lorqa was unsure that they had developed the technology sufficiently, but Krang told him how bad things were on the surface. Lorqa wishes that Quanin had came with them, but Krang does not. He blames the Utrom Empire's demise on his father. Lorqa and the other Utroms are put into vials with ooze and Krang oversees their transport through a portal to Burnow Island, to the room where Krang currently is. He vows to complete his plan soon.

In Northampton, Donnie continues reading Fugitoid's work journal. Donnie is realizing what a catastrophic threat the Technodrome poses and wondering how he and his family can possibly hope to neutralize it. Raph tells him that they'll handle it the same they handle everything else: make a plan, and then fight.

Back on Burnow Island, Stockman works on another one of his flyborgs when another scientist asks if they will be resuming work on the Fugitoid project soon. Stockman is surprised to learn that Fugitoid is back but glad nonetheless, as the flyborg he's currently working on he intends to use to destroy Fugitoid. Unfortunately when he arrives in the lab he sees that Krang is already there. The Fugitoid is telling Krang all about how Stockman helped him get the ooze flowing again after the power system "malfunctioned". Stockman hurriedly agrees and then leaves, afterwards cursing the fact that he is now indebted to the Fugitoid. Fugitoid continues talking to Krang. He tells Krang that he's just tired of fighting, that all he wants to do now is survive. Krang is quiet for a moment and Fugitoid worries that his ploy to be allowed to walk around the compound freely will fail. Fortunately, Krang can sympathize with the desire for survival.

The Turtles are on their way back to New York City following the Foot finding them hiding out in Northampton (see Northampton Part Three and Four). Donnie receives a message on his tablet from the Fugitoid. It contains plans for an inter-dimensional transporter, which would allow the Turtles to get to Burnow Island to fight Krang. The message also says that Fugitoid is contacting other parties with this information, as the more allies they have the likelier they will be to defeat Krang.

In one of the Foot Clan's bases, Karai receives the same message from the Fugitoid and shows it to the Shredder.

One of my interations in which the turtles (Leo, Donnie, Mikey, Raph) were mutated by the Footclan on purpose to be used as weapons. When Shen (engaged to Yoshi and very close friends with Saki) discovers this, she takes the (kid-aged) turtles and tries to leave. Saki, unfortunately, isn‘t a fan of that and during the fight that ensures, Shen‘s daughter, Miwa, „dies“.

Shen settles down with the turtles in her deceased parents‘ house and slowly works through everything that happened while also trying to give the kids the childhood they weren‘t allowed to have before. Things are quiet for a while, but she eventually ends up meeting four more mutants(?), Jennika, Venus, Casey and Mona, throwing her new normal into chaos once again.

Any thoughts on TMNT 2012?

I actually really enjoyed like, the first two season of it way back in the day. I used to watch the new episode releases religiously and about lost my entire shit when they finally introduced Casey. (Which was a big deal back then)

After awhile it got a little too weird for me to take it as seriously, but Ive seen every episode and it has a special place in my heart. Some of my first Fanfictions I ever posted were of TMNT 2012.

About Rise of the TMNT - Long Post (sorry, but I need to geek out)

I always kinda liked the tmnt series, though I was always teased and bullied about it. So I never really...watch a lot of it, unless I could find a way to do it secretly. Now that I’m older, I realized something. I can watch whatever I want, whenever I want! I have a lot to catch up on, but my internalized fear from all the bullying has kinda been hard to get passed. I haven’t watched the shows I wanted to, holding it off for “tomorrow”, yet never following through.

Then a couple months ago I saw some fan art for a series called Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I had no clue about the show! I didn’t know they made another Tmnt after the 2012 version! I was shocked, but also hopeful. Maybe I could watch it, start off fresh with a series that isn’t full of hurtful memories.

Let me tell you, it was not easy. I didn’t know where to watch it! I don’t have cable, nor do I know anyone who has cable. So no Nickelodeon or NickToons. I heard it was in Netflix, so I asked my sister if I could use her account to check. Not there. I was feeling really frustrated at that point. I wanted to watch this show so badly, and the more fan art I saw (because let’s be real, I didn’t see any sort of advertising for this), the more excited I was.

I loved the designs! They all looked different, more than ever! Each being a different kind of turtle, and Raphael was the leader? How would that change the dynamic? I wanted to know!

After searching for so long, I finally found Philo. It’s...not that good honestly. It’s like $20! But I was desperate and willing to pay to watch just this one show.

And I’m glad I did! It’s amazing! I fell in love. Usually, I only really liked Leonardo. To me, he always seemed awesome. Raphael...he always scared me. I have a deep seated fear for anyone who is aggressive, yells, and shows anger. And Raphael was ANGER. He terrified me. Donatello was alright, I liked how smart he is but he felt...one note and super creepy to me in the 2012 version. Michelangelo was pretty neat, he was the goofball. But he was always played off as the dumb one, the one who accidentally succeeded and couldn’t be serious. That’s not bad, he and Donnie were alright to me.

In Rise, though, it was so much more. Leo is a teen! He’s snarky, punny, smart, and just loves his brothers so much. They are his strength, and it shows. He’s insecure, he’s more than “fearless leader, splinter jr”. He’s neon Leon! You can tell he loves his brothers, more than any other interation before this. Leonardo of the before times has always been a bit too detached, cold in a way. He was isolated, but now he can just be more relaxed. Spend more time with his bros, find things he loves to do. And he’s still a nerd! I love that. Plus he’s not oldest!!! He’s like...maybe second youngest, and I just aaaaaaaaaaaa.

Raph? He’s a sweetheart!~ A gentle giant who could and will hug all his brothers at once. He tries his best as leader, but still has the “I will punch first” mentality, but he doesn’t scare me. He’s there for his brothers, maybe too much so he tries to step back a bit to help them be more independent. He’s literally their mother hen now, and he’s good at it. For once, I can honestly say I love Raphael.

Donnie is a riot, I love what they did with him. He’s the funny one! He’s smart, yes, but he’s confident (in his knowledge) now. He’s fun, he’s adorable (do I need to remind everyone of the basketball flashback of him? That’s cute and relatable), and he loves to dance! You can tell, not even by his bootyyyshaker9000 name, but by how he moves throughout the series. He builds so much for his family as well, giving them gifts that he thinks would be helpful, but they also blow up in his face too and that’s kinda humbling to know he’s not a perfect genius all the time. He tries to hold in emotions, but we see them come out and it’s just nice to see. He’s a sassy guy, and I love him.

Mikey, oh my gosh, he’s perfect. He’s still a ray of sunshine, but he’s more! He has more to him now, he has sides to him to help him be helpful both emotionally and with strength. Dr Feelings is there to be the shoulder everyone could go to, Dr Delicate Touch will crush you and not even blink while doing so. He can still be a prankster, but now it feels like he’s more. And I love his interactions with his brothers. I feel like him and Leo get in a bunch of shenanigans, him and Donnie go on a lot of adventures, and Raph and him can bond though he wants to not be treated like a baby. Did I mention he’s awesome? He’s awesome, throwing around trucks and stuff like nothing!

Don’t even get me started on the rest of the characters or I will ramble on for an eternity because of how much I love them. Even the bad guys! I’ve never liked the bad guys before but Draxum? Warren Stone? The SHREDDER? I love them so much, for character design and story. For how it’s not always as it seems, for the redemptions. Splinters development was fun to experience too. Having a positive message where a parent can do wrong and actually apologize to their kids for it? We need more of that! I’m slipping into a rant. Short of it, April, Sunita, Foot Recruit, Casey, Foot clan, Big Mama, I love them all.

I’m very upset that we didn’t get to see the story as the Rottmnt crew wanted, missing what was it? 13 episodes? And one of them was a turtle tots! Another with Draxum and Raph bonding!! More time with Karai! That’s messed up.

I want to experience more. I want to get lost in their world more, l want to be happy.

Because that’s what this show is for me. It makes me happy, in a time where my depression just keeps attacking me constantly. Where there’s fear outside, where I’m not motivated to do anything, even drawing which is something I love. I got lost in the mystic world of Rise. In the characters, the awesome animation, the wonderfully beautiful scenery and story. The silliness actually made me laugh out loud multiple times, and it felt amazing. Still feels amazing every time I can rewatch. It helped me cry, and not feel alone. Because sometimes you really need to get those tears out.

I want so badly for this show to continue. To rewind and give us those missing episodes, to continue afterwards.

This isn’t even all I want to say, but it’s hard to put into words how I feel for this show. And I shouldn’t make this any longer. Thank you to the people in this fandom, for the Rottmnt crew, and for anyone else listening. I strongly recommend you give this show a watch and support it in anyway you can.

Hamato Yoshi, sick of his traditional japanese family yammering on about ‘cursed dark armour’ and ‘protecting humanity from the evil transmigrating shredder spirit,’ quits being the clan heir to go use all his deadly ninja skills as an action movie star. He adopts the stage name ‘Lou Jitsu,’ and enjoys a highly successful movie career, funded by hot soup, beloved by millions of fans, and being as vapid and shallow and rich possible. Things are good and he starts dating a beautiful british woman, whom he loves so much he decides to propose to her. On the night of the proposal, she turns into the gigantic massive fuckoff spider woman she always was, and kidnaps him into her inter-dimensional fight club, the battle nexus. Turns out the british spider woman only wanted to get close to Lou jitsu to use his real ninja skills in her evil death matches for clout and money. Lou Jitsu, heartbroken, but still a fighting prodigy, fights his way into being the battle nexus champion. As he wins, he decides to quit fighting useless fights for other’s enjoyment because this sucks. But his championships have already gotten him to the attention of a lot of monsters, yokai and interdimensional beings -- such as Baram Draxum, who has been looking for the perfect warrior to start experiments on his turtle subjects. Draxum steals Lou Jitsu and uses his dna to create four mutant turtles. Lou Jitsu breaks out, but is mutated into a rat. The turtles grow up with their single father Splinter, a rat man. In present day, turns out all those dumb legends about ‘cursed dark armour’ and ‘protecting humanity from evil transmigrating shredder spirit’ Hamato Yoshi hand-waved at the start were all real. Hamato Yoshi/ Lou Jitsu/ Splinter, and the four mutant turtles he raised are technically the last of the Hamato clan who have to stop the evil transmigrating splinter spirit before it’s too late. Except Splinter hasn’t even been seriously training his sons cos he just wanted them to grow up like normal kids.
