And also leading on from that hc Michael distortion uses any pronouns but Prefers if you use all of them at the same time instead of sticking to one set, like "his name is Micheal, I like them, it is cool, she is my favorite character" as one sentence about Michael.

Or that he tells everyone a different set of pronouns and watches as people give aggressive side eyes trying to figure out why nobody else is using the "correct" ones

Sleepy TMA Headcannons (Because I'm Sleepy)

Martin: He snores, mumbles, AND drools. John doesn't really mind, but has occasionally woken up to a quiet "john hi hello..mm I love youuu" or a distraught "NOOoo don't you take my sandwhich..."

John: Sleeps with his eyes open. Along with this, he has the tendency to mumble out coherent sentences. Some of these have been: "have a seat", "what did you say your name was?", or: "this is great, but unfortunately, I appear to be asleep" (Martin ended up putting that one on a magnet).

Sasha: Punches and kicks in her sleep. After hearing this, Tim would always ask "Punch yourself awake again, huh?" whenever she came in tired.

Tim: Cries in his sleep. Along with that, he has been known to sleepwalk. Once, he woke up to find an entire omelette sitting in front of him. He doesn't know where it came from, and he's still haunted by that.

Daisy: She doesn't like to admit this, but she'll frequently wake up from dreams in which she's chasing someone to find she had been running in her sleep. This also has the added bonus of launching everything off her bed.

Basira: Cannot stay still. She must rotate every thirty minutes, much like a turkey. Maybe that's just because she likes to sleep on the floor, though.

Melanie: MUST fall asleep to music. That, or some variety of nature white noise. She also frequently rolls off her bed.

Elias: Sleeps like a log. Nothing could wake that man up, not even an actual flood. That did happen once, and yep, you guessed it: He somehow slept through it.

What if in mag190 instead of daisy transforming into a monster or something she just looks like someones wolf!fursona. Nothing changes except shes now an anthromorphic wolf instead of some eldrichy canine thing.

Any Eyevatar (Including those in the archival staff and Rosie) can see in the dark perfectly. For Jon, his eyes act like a cat's or a deer's and light reflects off of them. Jonah/Elias's eyes simply glow.

okay, so I'll preface by saying that im not good with words, but @/deadandwalking 's comment made me really wanna ramble about jonah SO

SPOILERS FOR ALL OF TMA

basically, everyone i think (hope) gets that jon wasn't all that much to blame for the eye-pocalypse, having been stringed along the whole way through.

in mag 200, we hear that the web decided on the eye as its fool, its way out. and while it's not clear when, i doubt it was anywhere near the present, cuz while the web surely must be one of the newer fears, but that hardly means anything by our standarts, people have been paranoid and scheming for a while (one exaple out of many: the french revolution's fallout)

so I'd say it's safe to say the scheming of the web has already been present when jonah magnus came around. originally, just a guy interested in weird stuff who learned about the fears from smirke. and obviously, he was curious, which eventually led him to the eye. however, from smirke's letter (mag138), I'd say it seems he was hesitant, at least, to embrace it for a while. and we do learn he is afraid of death, another reason why he might be driven to the eye, outside of the curiosity.

now. even as og jonah, he still did horrible things. he did hlrrible things as elias. he perfected the watcher's crown and saw it through. it's not my goal to say he didn't or that he's innocent.

HOWEVER. i can't help but wonder. how much of that was out of free will? arguably, free will is a pretty abstract term, so lemme return to jon as a comparison. did he read Mister Spider because he wanted to or out of the web's coercion? hard to say, but even if he chose freely, it would be like deciding on what to have for breakfast and then being told the eggs you chose just doomed the world. and you could say that about many of his choices.

SO. how much did jonah really have a choice? because the eye was most probably part of the web's plan by the time he joined it. he barely knew anything about what it really is he's dealing with. he thought he's on top of his game. but was he really? or was he just another pawn, afraid of death, craving to know more, and thus stringed along to serve the greater plan? i doubt any of that truly matters, but i just like to wander how much he really had a choice, how many of his choices were simply due to him being just another doomed researcher. not to mention he's spent over 200 years on this. alone. without a single person to turn to in times of need, without anyone that could talk him down. completely isolated. the perfect target.

somewhat related, i like to think about what it was like for him at the panopticon. he does tell jon he's just had the most wonderful dream. but did he really? would he even admit if he didn't? hardly. it would mean he was wrong, that all of this was a mistake of unprecedented proportions. it's more a hc than anything, but i like to think he didn't. that it was there he realized just how wrong he was. that it was a little personal hell, where he simply had to observe the consequences of all that he dedicated himself to achieve for over 200 years. and think. about all he sacrificed, everyone and everything he lost, and how it was all for THIS. and that it's why he doesn't really resist when jon comes to kill him (i really don't count what he says as resistance, sns lul). because for as much as he fears death, this existence is much MUCH worse than any fear like that could be.

thinking about safehouse martin struggling a LOT with dissociation. i think martin as a person has always struggled a lot with dissociating, but i think the lonely makes it bad. i think touch is the only thing that really brings him back, and i think jon gets in the habit of touching him casually whenever he can, knowing that it grounds him. letting their hands brush when he hands martin something, leaning against him when they sit by each other, etc. i think this starts from jon watching how martin starts to go a little fuzzy at the edges when he's spacing out, how his eyes go unfocused and how his glasses fog up, all of which go away when jon touches him. i think jon develops a HORRIBLE fear of falling asleep and waking to find martin gone. i think this adds to the "there was only one bed" safehouse trope, except it's now, hey, if we don't cuddle im worried you'll fall victim to an eldritch horror god and you'll die while i'm asleep. so i think we should cuddle, you know, like just in case. for safety.

He has a "#1 Captain" mug, Martin bought it for him and he loves it more than he loves Elias (which isn't saying much but he loves it a lot)

For all the knowledge Elias has he knows jack shit about boats somehow so whenever he goes on the Tundra Peter refuses to let him touch any surface except the floor lmfao

Elias buys peter boat related things in the same way a clueless mother trying to be an ally buys her gay child things during pride month
