AU where Rezzoch successfully possesses Jack BUT can't walk well in human bodies. Basically a whole struggle for them. Also, Jazz doesn't know how to take care of themselves properly.

Kaberi will find her way of revenge in some form. Either in petty like ways (for this casd, it is a gotta cause Jack's body) or raging wrath. She put Jazz in heels cause heels is a pain to walk in for majority of people who doesn't know how to walk in them or even heel wearers for long periods of time. I think. TLKOE AU idea??

Just hear me out here, but imagine, an AU where Jack is Rezzoch, not related to them, not possessed, he IS Rezzoch, the being that that they see is another being, some cosmic terror looking to bring him back, and Jack/Rezzoch doesn't have bad intentions, he doesn't want to be this scary destroyer of worlds, who he's supposed to be, and he saw the humans and how kind they were due to their short lives and ran away, forming as a young child about 4 years old and is assumed to be an orphan, is given a name, and sent into the foster system, he doesn't remember that he's Rezzoch, and when the portals opened is when they finally found him and jumped the gun a bit opening portals everywhere, releasing a bunch of monsters, while Jack was off in the human dimension the cosmic terrors had appointed someone to act as Rezzoch to search for him while destroying and conquering dimensions, building up their own following and because they had conquered and destroyed so many dimensions they were assumed to be the strongest, meanwhile the actual Rezzoch is just eating stale Oreos and chips.

Just writing as I think here, I feel like this could be an amazing angst opportunity as well as a lot of silly stuff could happen too, so should this stay crack or should it become crack taken seriously?

Nope,this doesn't actually happen in the future.It happens in Book 5!(in my TLKOE AU).Its gonna be an animation cuz I think it'll be more easier.

It has something to do with a certain Cosmic Terror....(not Rezzoch,not Ghast,its a Cosmic Terror that I created lol).It's just these two,the boys have their own problems to deal with.

I feel like something that isn't talked about enough is the difference between how Jack and June survive the Apocalypse based on their own personalities.

Jack's response has always been clear to trauma and survival in general, whether with foster care, the zombies, or even Rezzoch. He has a clear goal his whole life, surviving himself, but it changed after the apocalypse started, and throughout the entire series after that, it stayed the same: Survive and help others do the same, and don't be alone. The only thing that changes is what he's willing to do to get there.

June, reinvents herself everytime a new situation comes up and changes the current one, even a miniscule amount. She's always focused on her goal, but it rearranges over and over again and she changes with it without getting to process it at all really.

Before the apocalypse, June had one set of goals her entire life, it didn't change. She was going to get good grades, get her perfect job young, support her parents, and be happy.

But in a matter of less than fifty days, June goes from headstrong and solid in her future, to giving up. The reason she lasted the first few weeks was her parents, and after that getting to safety. Eventually, right before Jack came, she was planning to just let the zombies have her.

Everytime something changes after she joins Jack, Quint, and Dirk, she ends up adjusting all of her life. (First it was surviving until the apocalypse ended, then defeating Rezzoch, then finding other humans, ect.) Each time something happened like finding the radio, or meeting Thrull, or literally anything else, she changed her goal and completely went head first into only that new one.

June's trauma response is reinvention, which helps explain a lot about why as her goals change, so does her identity and personality. Hence why sometimes you stop and realize, "Hey, June seems like a whole new person, in only two books!"

Jack's is to be protective of everyone over himself to the point of ignoring his own feelings, like when he dismissed them over and over again for an entire book instead of actually talking about them and working them out with his friends in book 3 so that he wouldn't hurt his friends feelings by being worried over his own. He wants to survive as a group, it's the only way he sees it as worth it to keep going, so his own life alone isn't as important.

Regardless of what others think, we can all agree on one thing: These books have amazing examples of trauma responses and situations.

My Tlkoe ocs backstory

Heart pounding, head spinning, the young boy ran toward the mossy pillar. The hunters were looking for him, and he needed a place to hide. Then, he remembered the spell his father gave to him before he and the boy's mother left this world. He set the circle down in between the pillars, and recited the words:

When the day turns into night,

Fear the spirit with no eyes

Her voice echoes through the trees

And she never hides, only seeks

I do not mind this evil posessor

Now Rezzoch may form the door

Then, there was a million rays of blue, nearly blinding the child. Lightning struck all around the door, thunder roaring louder than a lion. When he opened his eyes, he was greeted with a purple blue portal. He walked through.

"What is this we have here?" a deep voice spoke. "Perhaps a new warrior to help us." The young boy opened his light brown eyes to find a man, although his skin was purple. He was really tall, and pretty old. "Who are you?" asked the boy. "I am Thrull, " he answered. "I used to be a hunter of evil servants of Rezzoch the Ancient, but now I need help. Would you like to hunt down some monsters?"

"Yes, that sounds cool!" exclaimed the boy. "Well, since you have a huge scar on your face, " said Thrull, "you're soldier name shall be Stitches." The soldier smiled, and got right to training.

Quints a human who magically ends up in the Boiling Isles (to be determined exactly how he gets there) and wants to learn magic because. of course he does. He's overall fascinated by the coven system but also just how magic in general works. He falls into the care of (you'll never believe it) Yursl!! I don't know if she'd be something different than the owl lady, but the owl lady would be cool because imagine Johnny Steve as Hooty or something 😭

I don't know if there'd be a "King" in this au since it's technically just if the tlkoe kids were inside the TOH universe, and it's not necessarily a "Quint is Luz" or "___ is King" AU. Quint IS kind of like Luz but their motives for learning magic are slightly different, and besides Yursl being a bit of an insert of Eda, that's kinda where it ends. (watch me contradict this in like two seconds) Mainly what I'm trying to say is that this storyline doesn't follow either the toh or tlkoe cannon ones to a tee, but still has elements of both

Jack is in the Illusion Track, but I feel like later on he would start to dabble in Abomination (since it's the closest thing to his zombie powers). He's still an orphan lmao, and lives at the Boiling Isles Orphanage. He transfers to Hexide from another school about a year previous to Quint's arrival. He comes across a poorly disguised Quint who was on a supply run for Yursl, and is absolutely AMAZED by him. The boys get along immediately and begin to hang out. Jack then tries to convince Quint to enroll in Hexide, which Quint finally does later in the future. Jacks Palisman would def be Rover, who, when not in palisman form, can (maybe,idk) switch between the normal palisman size and normal Rover Size.

For June, I'd say she'd be In Abomination or Beast Keeping. I say Abomination because 1: it's cool, and 2: Blasty could be like the spiky abomination glove Amity does in Eclipse Lake when fighting against Hunter. June wouldn't keep it on as near often as she does with Blasty in the books, but she would bring it out for fights. And if she WAS in Abomination, she'd be able to help out Jack when he starts to get into it (again, doesn't follow the tlkoe canon). She's still head of the Newspaper Club, and her Palisman would be Neon

Dirk is easily the Plant Track. He COULD be Construction, but idk I just see Plant more. Imagine him doing the Plant/Whip thing Willow does in the beginning of "Any Sport in a Storm." Almost like how he was into lassoing and cowboy stuff in Book Three (I wanna say three) His palisman is Drooler!!

So basically, how everyone would meet:

Quint arrives at Hexide under the disguise of a regular witch with Jack's help. (Quint pretends to be a witch during the entrance exam, in which he barely scrapes by. Obviously this only makes him more determined) Jack brings Quint to the newspaper room (since jack is still in the newspaper) and introduces him to the club. Quint catches Junes attention cause Quint sucks at lying and she can tell somethings up. She doesn't pry into it then and there, but still keeps it in her mind. At Lunch, June talks to Dirk. Dirk and June are friends; they have sort of a sibling dynamic and confine in each other. Dirks not really a bully per say, but he still gets into trouble and June's always there to get him out of it. (As she'll do with the rest of the group, until later when she unmasks a bit and gets a lil silly too) June proposes her theory to Dirk, and of course, she's right. At first, Dirk's like "You're ridiculous", but then he REALLY starts to look at Quint and thinks it may be possible. They both decide to look into it and go full sleuth mode- or rather June does and Dirk enables it- and find out that Quint is, in fact, a human. Chaos ensues.

"You're HUMAN??"

"Uh- yes."

"I knew it!! Dirk, see, I told you-"

"June. Not the time. "

"Right, sorry."

More Chaos- June and Dirk both swear not to tattle, but uh oh! Someone else overhears the conversation and gives the principle (tbd) the headsup. All four of them are called to the office and interrogated, before Quint's disguise falls apart and they make a run for it. Like in "I was a teenage abomination", the school goes on lock down and the gang has to use their magic to get them through the school and out the exit. After all is said and done, they don't really go like "we should be friends!" but rather they start hanging out with one another more, and soon they're thick as thieves and getting themselves into all sorts of shenanigans.

(Quint is still allowed to stay at Hexide, but he tries to stall getting assigned into a coven for as long as he can. This half-works because since there's no inspector like there was in "The First Day", there's not really a need for him to pick a track immediately.)

TLKOE Inktober Day 2: Friendship

No you are not missing Day 1, I didn’t get to do that day since I had drama

i wanna talk about me and my friends tlkoe rp verse for a HOT minute cause she’s only seen the show and i’ve read all the books and we basically took a hammer and “fixed” the canon

(please note the rp includes my ocs terri and annie because they’re my Kids,,,)

big differences:

thrull is still alive and didn’t die, after his whole tree thing he just got really weak and walked off into the woods

evie comes in earlier then in canon. both she and terri work for thrull and basically try to help him take down a bunch of middle schoolers

minor differences based on my headcanons:

jack has Severe trauma from the rezzoch possession attempt and has scars from it. he doesn’t like to talk about it.

rp only events:

terri and evie locked the kids in the high school after letting loose all the zombies in the gym, but after the guilt was eating him alive terri saved them and took the punishment from thrull later

terri got pushed into having a “conversation” with rezzoch after a mission gone wrong and has had migraines afterwards. this lead up to his possession in the current event

(winter event) annie decorated the treehouse and joes pizza with the full intent of them having the best christmas ever. only made it her mission to do so after she heard jack hasn’t had a good christmas in a while and she remembers what that was like.

tlkoe x Mandela catalogue

So sorry to all Mandela catalog fans, but my understanding of the lore is pretty basic and somehow fan songs explained it in a way I could understand so now I’m gonna ramble about why specifically Jack this time lol

So I remember a fairly big part of Mc is that a lot of them are changeling esc, as in they steal children and replace them with their own to eventually kill humans and work to replace some more grown humans with alternates??? I think that’s right, but I figured Jack doesn’t have a family to compare his facial structure to at all, and he’s constantly moving because of the foster care system, so he doesn’t stay in one area long enough for people to notice any big changes in behavior n such, just writing it off as quirks or wack puberty. So when most people are zombified, so are a lot of the alternates (they are semi organic right??? I’m pretty sure they could be killed, so they have to be able to be infected by zombies right? Cause they weren’t invincible) leaving Jack alone and clueless, I noticed all the alternates are adults (I hope anyway). Rezzoch sees Jack of course and tries to use him as a vessel (ya know, cause alternates already built to be vessels) and speeds up the whole process, and the final trigger point is walking past a tv station with what they had assumed was some sort of prank horror tape playing of some fake broadcast about these weird things called alternates, they turned it off though before it even got to the section about identifying alternates, laughing a bit at how obviously fake the thing was, stopping for a bit outside the shop to check over the supplies they’d gathered and that’s when Jack does this

Would Jack kill to protect his friends? We hope we never found out what it would be like if the four of them had become villains.
