Notes after my first Mitski concert last night:

- when she does sexy things they clearly read as a “fuck you” in a way I’ve never seen with a performer before

- someone said some stupid “mother is mothering” shit and literally the entire audience yelled “SHUT UP !!!” back at them - annoying that people are still doing that shit but it was heartening to hear that most of her fans at this show at least are respectful of her wishes

- the way she played with light in this show was super engaging, at one point she waltzed with a spotlight and it was super cool, prolly my favorite bit. Other notable light moments include chasing a light beam that kept fleeing her and being trapped inside of a cage of light beams during I Don’t Like My Mind

- it was super interesting to hear some of her old songs played in the style of TLIIASAW, the fiddle in Washing Machine Heart took me OUT
