since i have some free time where im not stressing over things, i'm trying to work on that checklist i meant to make forever ago... i might also rewrite parts of the challenge since new packs came out and can be used in replacement of the mods i suggested. yippee!

Alright, so postcard legacy it is! I won't get time until the weekend so don't expect me to update it soon 🫢 So I guess now is a good time for people or new followers who are not caught up to catch up or refresh their memories. As I've said before the backstory can be read with no context, but those who know the legacy will understand why I have done the things I've done!

W: Oh sure man! We're usually pretty booked but you're in luck! we just had a cancellation for tomorrow night at 6pm!.

S: That's perfect! She's gonna love this!

W: Oh? We got a special date coming up?

small little tjol interlude! cameron asked ivy to be his girlfriend and soon after asked if they could move in together. of course, ivy said yes to both! they've been talking for quite some time and they both want the same things in life. ivy is going to continue selling her baked goods out of their home & cameron is going to finish school! he's currently taking 3 classes and needs 9 to graduate. he also got a full makeover this time!

the joy of life legacy challenge by @simelune 37 generations to keep you playing.

as i was looking for legacy challenges that were being updated as new packs came out, i had the thought "hey, why not just write one myself?" so here we are! i'll do by best to add new generations as time goes on, but seeing as this already has 37 (!!) generations, i think we'll be okay for a bit.

a few notes:

this challenge incorporates mods. i tried to include options for players who do not use gameplay mods, but some generations are built around them.

this challenge uses (almost) all packs. some generations are based off specific packs though, so you could pick and choose which gens you want to do.

this challenge has story aspects. there's a lot of room for you to come up with a story yourself each generation, so have fun with it!

some generations are longer and more involved than others! this is meant to give you a bit of a break and provide variety between generations.

It's my first time writing this kind of story. I feel you need to know some depth about Vincent's background. It'll answer some questions about his dad's disappearance (although still not revealing too much bc the mystery is still ongoing: you can speculate from any details shown). For those who have not read gen 3 of my postcard legacy, this story can be read with no context about it. As for those who know what is happening, you'll understand why I have done the things I have done so far, well hopefully anyway!

Hi here's an update: I'm in Malaysia / Hong Kong for the next month to see my family, so posts will be here and there. I think I will post postcard legacy + tjolc. It all depends on my mood and what I want to make at the time as currently, I have no stuff in advance 🫣

my whimsy save file is so glitchy and idk if it's the save file or if it's the recent updates or my mods or a combination of everything, but it's making me scared to open my joy of life save 😩 according to my last tjolc screenshot, i haven't been in that save since January 18th!!

a few issues i've run into: (1) game crashing or endless loading screens when trying to enter/bulldoze certain lots (a common issue with this particular save file, I've learned), (2) romance interactions not working during events -- really kills the vibe at a wedding, (3) gig tasks randomly not being checked off even though my sim has completed said task, (4) a bunch of party-related cc that cause tuning errors, (5) break in option no longer showing up even though i totally wanted Lux to keep breaking into sims' homes to shower and snack.

obviously, i'm going to make another backup of my joy of life save (i already have backups upon backups). i would literally cry if something happened to that save. anyway, i need to do a mod cleanout at the very least but that just doesn't sound like fun right now. so I'm gonna keep playing and keep ignoring errors ✌🏽
