Still Thinkin of Yokai Amity

Y'know, where all of Amity have pretty much become yokai creatures. I might be weak for Japanese mythology and cryptids. Or really all mythology and cryptids, but Japan has a lot and it's near never-ending meaning it's fun to continue discovering and learning stuff. But anyway!

Amity Park, practically empty of humans now. Not even following the usual rule that things do thanks to how malleable ecto is. Along with how a form usually depends on ones own thoughts, feelings, and Core.

But anyway, Amity? Kind of having some trouble now that, again, no one there counts as human. Visibly so. Which, yeah the GIW is sort of incompetent, but it's also kind of... not?

Let them reiterate, individually or even in pairs, they can easily deal with the Guys in White. Heck, even a small battalion is easy enough- but they have... a lot of people. And the backing of the government. So.

Plan B? Escape. Where to?

Well, see, they've all had to interact more with the Realms, not to mention that well, the entire town was pulled into it at one point. Which was how everyone got that last bit of ecto to push the transformations from contaminated to Liminal.

Which means? Time to escape through the Realms to somewhere, maybe even somewhen else. But they also can't stay in the Realms indefinitely. Because even with their own Cores, most of them are still Living.

But they also can't agree on a World to settle down in, not with how they're still wary of reactions. So what's a city to do?

Why, pop into multiple worlds of course. A wandering city, the entrance shifting through gates and alleys and doorways that appears through time and space.

Sometimes another haunted being finds their way through, sometimes they visit one dimension more than another- sometimes they leave one behind forever. But tales still spread of the wandering city that flickers through existence.

I got married this summer!! And I spent the year leading up to it designing & patterning & making my dresses! So here they are; unfortunately my photo selection is pretty limited cause our photographer got almost no fullbody pictures of me alone from the front, but w/e

My wedding dress/outfit/what have you consisted of an Edwardian-ish blouse and a skirt which I drafted off of an actual Victorian walking skirt pattern except since I didn’t wanna obtain/wear a corset & bustle I took out the hip shaping so it just turned out to be a partial circle skirt that’s a little longer and fuller in back. Oh, and the front panel was actually two overlapping panels which could be folded back and attached to the inside of the skirt. I wore it closed at the actual marriage part which I didn’t get good pics of, and open at the ring ceremony, which is where all the above pics were taken. The pants were resale, but I did make my veil and bouquet!

The second dress was very inspired by this set of classic lolita OP’s (particularly the one in the first two pics) which I first saw back in 2021 and I’d been itching to make something similar ever since, so I picked up the fabric for it when it was on sale back at my old job and then pencilled it in as my reception dress so I would actually get around to making it. (Although fun fact both of these outfits STILL need more sewing done before they’re completely ready for regular wear lol. Someday) I got the cameo for the brooch off Etsy (it has a butterfly on it) and my grandma bought me the shoes for Christmas last year, though I added the bows to them (they’re removable and I also made a pink set) and also made the earrings and hair bow.

Anyway we recently got done moving and stuff so hopefully I will be able to do more art soon! (Also they/them preferred as usual 💜)

Anyway, here’s the updated design for Butler man with some injuries/scars from when he lost his magic and a few scars from the M.A.R.G.L.E.S. Incident, as well as a design for the video tape bird (based off of a lyrebird, since it can record and play audio). Also featuring Rattleballs and Tiny Manticore.

I'm behind on the rewatch with office days and all that so I'm still on ep 2 but I love love that their almost first kiss is So Damn Important.

What do you mean? Well, Tharn is a mess, Phaya is a slightly more sober mess like it's not pretty but whether they realize it or not, whether we realize it or not, that first recognition of each other which actually wasn't a kiss but Phaya's amulet is a HUGE deal. It's soul recognizing soul. It's actually even more amazing that it wasn't a kiss.

I feel so much about that fraught almost moment because it feels like this is what sets Phaya on his truth-finding path because what happened to him in the water changed him. Outside of anything to do with Tharn, we find out that Phaya developed a real fear (considering there was a massive snek trying to kill him in the water) and it's something he tried to overcome but he likely can't because he can't put the pieces together and the biggest piece was/is/will always be Tharn.

So it's significant in its insignificance almost. Phaya doesn't realize it but *he* doesn't make sense without Tharn because of who they are to each other. Because what were two souls housed in two bodies in their first lives are now two halves of one soul, held by one person, constantly calling out to its other true owner.
