Slooowly getting the hang of how his hair is. I’m reading the Claremont era stuff right now so like. EARLY Nightcrawler and I want to stick to that in terms of how his face is always in shadow, but I love how everyone draws his hair different. I’m still figuring it out.

Genuinely it makes me SO happy that for like the first(?) time in... ever? He finally has a GOOD and FAITHFUL adaptation?

Nightcrawler isn't awesome because he's blue or because he teleports... Kurt is amazing because yeah... he's a tortured little guy who has seen the worst of humanity because he was treated like a monster and a slave, but also through his religion and the X men he found family and beleives in PEOPLE.

Kurt Wagner is someone who in spite of being the most obvious target for the worst of humanity, still fundamentally beleives in the good of people, that everyone can be redeemed. He beleives in forgiveness and love and he would do anything to protect his family.

He's someone who, unlike a majority of other x-men and popular mutant characters... doesn't visually fit in. People like Striker in God Loves Man Kills exemplify this perfectly. Kurt is THE face of mutants who don't visually fit in. He stands out, he's a freak... he doesn't fit IN. He's very relatable to an audience who may stand out visually or feel like they don't fit the average stereotypes of beauty. He's such a good surrogate for the "freaks" of the world. But he doesn't let this get him down. He still has faith in good people. He is still cheery and upbeat and just wants to have a good time with his friends and family.

I love him. He's the best. Goodest boy.
