was recently rewatching this scene and… god the way ford looks at him here…

it’s this level of softness we don’t really see on him a lot in his next few episodes, especially when he’s interacting with stan. like yeah, in a moment here he’ll tell stan he needs to get out of his house by the end of the summer, but its like he’s giving himself a second to really take in the sight of his brother. it’s been 30 years. he’s seeing him again for the first time in decades, they’ve both grown and aged without each other. ford just told stan he looks like their dad and he’s watching as stan denies it and laughs and elbows him like the old days, and for a moment ford just looks at him. with this gentleness. he forgets to be mad just to soak in the reality that he’s here again. with stan.

it’s shortlived obviously. and his grudge kicks in a minute later as the extra reality that his house has been transformed into a tourist trap and his identity has been stolen sets in. but that small moment :( ugh how much he must’ve missed him :( it kills me :((

A lil' gift to the best father figure boss :]

Originally, I wanted to make a lil' comic, but I just don't have the energy for it. So instead, I'll write what I wanted the comic to be about here.

Basically, I was reminded of a moment in the Lost Legends comic, where Soos hears sobbing and said how he recognized those sobs- which then showed that it was Stan sobbing.

The lil' comic I wanted to make was gonna be set maybe around a year into Soos working at the Mystery Shack. After it had closed for the day, Soos had gone home to eat dinner with Abuelita. After they're finished, she gives Soos a gift for him to give to Stan as a thank you for the fair amount of money he pays Soos for his work and for being there for her lil' Soos when his father just isn't.

When Soos arrives back at the Mystery Shack, it's ofc closed, so he just let's himself in with the keys Stan had given him not that long ago. He calls out to Stan when he doesn't see him in the gift shop, but gets no answers. Making his way through the building towards Stan's office, Soos hears the faint sound of sobbing coming from there. Knocking on the door to the office and calling out that it was just him, Soos gives Stan enough time to compose himself before he enters the office.

Stan cuts to the chase and asks why Soos is here when he saw him leave earlier after his shift was done, to which Soos presents him with the gift from him and Abuelita. Soos tells him about the reasoning behind the gift while Stan just stares at it in silent surprise before finally opening it and finding home baked cookies. Finally, Stan smiles and gives Soos a lil' thank you- and asks him to forward that thank you to Abuelita- for the gift, and it makes Soos smile in turn.

I'm rewatching GF since the whole world seems to be into it right now (thank you Alex and the Book of Bill) and AGHHH I FORGOR about the body swap episode when the twins find the secret room and Stan picks up Ford's glasses and later we see him sitting on the couch looking at them wistfully...

Eddie who crashes at Steve's after movie night, despite knowing it's a bad idea considering his increasingly out-of-control and hopeless crush. He's supposed to be working on boundaries and expectations, not falling asleep on the couch with his head on the man's shoulder, and waking up being fucking carried upstairs to bed.

The next morning, he plans on making a sneaky exit, but then he hears a stereo playing from somewhere downstairs. He makes his way to the kitchen to find Steve dancing and belting along with I Wanna Dance with Somebody, passionately singing into a spatula.

And so much for Eddie keeping his crush under control, because this? It's the cutest goddamn thing he's seen in his life and he's head over heels.

He can't help walking up to Steve, taking him in his arms, and judging by the way Steve's face lights up, his crush might not be so unrequited after all.
