Izzy Stradlin.
If you're a man and you don't like Izzy - you're just not cool.
Or he banged your chick.
Or both.
Probably both.

And if you're a woman who doesn't like Izzy - thank you.

He doesn't need you.

I do not believe that is Jetboy. It looks like Candy ...
That looks like Gilby Clarke. Guns N' Roses did play at The Glamour on New Year's Eve 1986. I do not know who was on the bill with them though.
GNR did play on the same bill with Jetboy, L.A. Guns, and Faster Pussycat at The Cathouse on December 23, 1986.
Izzy and Gilby were friends at that time. Izzy was one of the very first people that Gilby met when he moved to L.A. It would make perfect sense that he would jam with him.
The picture you see with Jetboy - Izzy is wearing what looks like an identical outfit. I think Candy was probably at The Cathouse Dec. 23rd but were never listed on the bill. I believe they are one of the 'special guests' that was supposed to be there that night. (Or maybe Izzy just really dug that outfit and wore it two nights, lol).
But there are four guys in the pic of Candy, and it looks like there are ... five guys on stage with Izzy. Candy was a four-piece band. It's got to be Candy because Gilby was on lead vocals then. It's Candy! Just some other guy must have wanted to jam with them too. Let me find a pic of them.
I had the best pic of Jetboy but can't find it. I'll put up some subpar pics instead ...
Below is a picture of Kill for Thrills which were also a four-piece, but they were not formed until 1988. (You can tell the outfits look a little later 80's. Well, to me, at least.):

Below is a picture of Izzy (wearing the same outfit) with Mickey Finn and Billy Rowe of Jetboy, and Timo Kaltio to his left.

Below are pics of Jetboy with Sami Yaffa.

Gilby was the lead singer for Candy after Kyle Vincent left. And it turns out there were quite a few of people who really liked Candy.
Let me try to find a photo of them. I am adding a link to an article about Candy as well. Well, it's a piece about Candy on a cool music blog - willfullyobscure.blogspot.com

OMG! Look at this flyer! But that was for Country Club. Okay, it says Faster Pussycat and GNR, but I think they're referencing that those bands got signed and went on the road. The Strip might seem dead, but they're still there!

Here is a really cool flyer with Gilby Clarke's name on the pink pick. (To indicate this was Candy with Gilby and not Kyle, I guess.) These flyers are great. I love looking at old band flyers!

I don't know if Gilby is in the pics below or not because they are so small! Pretty sure he is, though.

I think that is Gilby on the right but could be wrong.

Anyway, it was cool to find out a bit more about Candy, Kill for Thrills, and Gilby Clarke. These pics are great! The ones of Gilby and Candy, AND the ones with Izzy and Candy on stage. Love the Izzy pics!!!!
**** Update ****
The extra 'musician' on stage with Candy and Izzy is Riki Rachtman. He is the one in the leopard print coat. This is an even stronger indication it was The Cathouse and that Mickey Finn (and possibly another member of Jetboy) got on stage with them at some point that night.
I also found a pic of Mickey Finn (lead singer of Jetboy) on stage with them but am unable to download it. If I can, I'll add it. So, likely a member of Jetboy did join Izzy and Candy onstage for at least one song that night! The photos of Candy, Izzy, and Riki were taken by photographer David Plastik (Dave Plas) and he claims they were taken at The Cathouse but in 1987. I think he might have the year wrong.
So Izzy might have performed with members of Candy and Jetboy that night, which is even cooler. That is probably why the post originally said Izzy performing with Jetboy. He probably did, but it was just the wrong picture from the same night. ; )

Izzy Stradlin and Gilby Clarke performing on stage together at The Cathouse in 1986. Riki Rachtman is also pictured.

Above photos by David Plastik (Dave Plas)
Okay - I have to post this because it is so cool. I have @juliannas-wild-oats to thank for the first photo, as well as the cropped photos of Izzy. I have @mycollectionmylife to thank for the second photo that they just recently posted and I am now later adding to this post. They were originally posted by Dave Plastik on Facebook. However, he claims these photos were taken circa 1987 - not late 1986. (I'm going to double check 1987 concert dates though.) I personally feel like they were taken on December 23, 1986, but don't quote me. Actually - go ahead and quote me, because I've done the research and I'm fairly certain this is the date, lol.
I'm a big Izzy fan, but I also like Gilby Clarke. As you know, Gilby replaced Izzy when he left GNR. The cool thing about that, was that Izzy was one of the very first people Gilby met when he moved to L.A. - they were friends. So, Izzy was pleased they chose Gilby as his replacement. Gilby was the lead singer for Candy, then went on to join Kill for Thrills, and of course he later joined GNR, then Slash's Snakepit. He is not only a musician, but a producer.
But what is even cooler is that this is a photo of Izzy jamming with Gilby's band, Candy, probably in late 1986. According to the photographer, it was taken at The Cathouse. The first time I saw the picture, the description said it was taken at The Glamour on Dec. 31, 1986, and it was Izzy jamming with Jetboy. I noticed Gilby right away and then realized it was Candy. But Candy is not listed as being on the bill that night on the online set lists and concert pages.
After some investigation, I decided it was either taken on October 9th or 18th, 1986 at Reseda Country Club/Country Club of Reseda/Chuck Landis' Country Club - or at The Cathouse on December 23, 1986 - though Candy is not listed (anywhere I looked) as being on the ticket that night with GNR, Faster Pussycat, L.A. Jetboy, and L.A. Guns. However, the ticket/bill does list '& Special Guests'. So, I thought perhaps they actually were on the ticket, but just not listed in the records. Now I know this is in fact The Cathouse, and the sixth person on stage is Riki Rachtman.
I'm including a pic of Izzy hanging with Mickey Finn, Billy Rowe, and Timo Kaltio taken the same night. I just found a cool pic of Mickey Finn on stage with Izzy and Candy as well, but I cannot get into FB to download it right now. I will add it once I have it.
I just think this pic is extremely special in terms of GNR history, as well as Izzy and Gilby's history together. So, I just HAD to post it. Thanks @juliannas-wild-oats for posting those great pictures.
I'm including a photo taken almost 7 years later, of Gilby and Izzy, when Izzy came back to GNR when Gilby was injured. The date was either May 29th or 30th, 1993. (I'm pretty sure the 30th, but I'll double check.)
What's even cooler about this pic is that it was taken at a show in which both Gilby and Izzy performed on stage with GNR, Ronnie Wood, and Michael Monroe. Just seriously cool GNR history right there. Izzy performing with members of the two bands he referenced as being his influences in GNR interviews - two bands he loved. I'll go ahead and add the link to the performance. I'm adding another pic of Izzy with Gilby on March 10th, 1995 at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino opening in Las Vegas.
Izzy performed onstage with Gilby, Candy, and probably Mickey Finn in 1986, with Gilby, GNR, Ronnie Wood, and Michael Monroe in 1993, with Duff McKagan, Gilby, Matt Sorum, B.B. King, Bo Diddley and others at The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas in March 1995 and the following month, in April 1995, with Gilby and Slash's Snakepit (I have a great pic of Izzy and Slash on stage during that performance, but not one with Izzy and Gilby.)
Here is a flyer/invite for the 1986 Live Like a Suicide Christmas Party at The Cathouse December 23, 1986, when Candy was probably the special guest, and Izzy performed on stage with them.

This lovely painting of Michael was done by Timo Kaltio. I believe it was around 1989.
On his Facebook page, Timo captioned the picture with:
“Acrylics, fabric paints, ink, airbrushes, a bit of everything on foam board, about 2x2 feet… I painted this in Philadelphia in late 80’s… frustrated the crap out of me. It’s still somewhere in USA.”
