A gift fic (with some doodles!) for @feathraly ((I really hope this is the right tumblr account...)) for the Discorinthe discord anniversary exchange! Their lovely lovely prompt WRT Marisette being a gothic couple, Jehan giving a bit of gothic horror as a treat, and some supernatural crossovers naturally lent themselves to me writing a Dracula AU with Marisette of course being the quintessential gothic power couple: The Harkers!

I hope feathraly enjoyed this fic!! <3 and if anyone else likes vampires, angst, and the Power of Friendship, this fic will probably be up your alley too! But please mind the tags!

This is the first proper post I'm writing since the audio breakdown, good thing I queued a POTC one last week, I suppose. Yes I slept through the entire day today, missed the theatre workshop I was supposed to attend and may or may not be listening to A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square on loop. Have an update on my coping because my social life and family are both Tumblr now:

Every song is about them now. A lot were before, but now every single one. Even an old Hindi song from a 1900s Indian military movie that I have not watched, by the way. I made the very intelligent decision to rewatch the first three episodes of season 2, knowing what the Job minisode and the Edinburgh minisode do to me. I'll be here clutching Crowley, well, hugging him close to the chest, just like that song... ah, fuck, here we go again.

I listened to you all and am drinking a lot of water, since my tear ducts were emptied yesterday and now I'm unable to cry. I also ate too much chocolate.

I'm just so happy (and a little wistful) to have finished my long fic, Play for Me the Music of Your Heart It's been a long time in the writing (since 2022) and I'm so pleased to have crossed the finish line.

What was your biggest pit of despair moment?

I worried myself several times (unnecessarily, but anxiety gremlins) that I would draw a complete blank on the final ch. of my long fic and fail to complete it. I gave the gremlins the finger.

What have you learned?

Tell the story you want to tell. Better to write for yourself and the handful of people the story will resonate with than to force a story you think will appeal to the masses. If it's pulling at you, it's pulling for a reason.--wise words there by gaia that I'm going to leave.

And also, just continuing to learn more about writing, art and the creative process in general.

What fic did you want to do but never made it off the ground?

Nothing that I started that didn't make it, plenty on the idea pile that I want to write.

Did you beta any fics? Any favs you want to shout out?

I did! I've looked at fic for @dat-carovieh, @nightgazings, @tawnyontumblr, there might be others that I'm forgetting and I'm so sorry, but all of you are wonderful writers and it was a pleasure working with you!

What three fics have you read this year that you love?

The Squire's Wife by @copperplatebeech - Good Omens. I have had it marked for later for forever, because 24 hours/day is criminal. It's wonderful! Copper's signature snappy, crisp prose, her wonderfully witty sense of humor and the absolute sorcery she invokes in her dialogue use make this a wonderful read. And of course, she had me at 'music au'.

The Red King's Consort by @okamiwind - This one is Legend of Zelda (BotW/ToTK) and the pairing Link/Sidon. It is one of the most beautiful fics I have ever read, pairings aside. It is scorching hot, evocative, and just lush. It's like eating a particularly rich truffle, and the pining and longing is off the charts gorgeous.

I did a lot of re-reading of comfort fics as well, as this year was quite stressful, so @mia-ugly Slow Show, @sevdrag, Old Vines, I will always love these from the bottom of my heart.

What ideas are percolating for next year?

Let's see...I want to write my own Link/Sidon if the right idea hits. I also have a shorter kink fic in mind for GO as well as a meet-cute that's art student Crowley and figure model Aziraphale. Longer GO fic includes a wildland firefighter Crowley and forest service ranger Aziraphale fic (not 31 chapters again, Someone willing) and we got pretty jazzed about a drum corp AU on The Serpent and the Saint server last night, so...maybe a collab? 👀

I've also been told I need to get cracking on a historical original fic for Liszt/Chopin 😆😏

My Rant On Cabby's Disability 2; Electric Boogaloo + Completely Different Fandom And Character, wahoo.

WARNING BEFORE WE BEGIN! I do not support ableism. Mental issues do exist, things like autism do not come from vaccines, people can have both mental and physical disabilities, and FINALLY and MOST IMPORTANTLY people with disabilities are people just like you, not anything lower, not anything higher.

Also, just to add a bit of an edit- we don't actually know if Moonpaw has these things yet, but when I wrote the post I assumed she did, so berate me on the misinfo all you like.

That being said:

SEEING YOU ALL USE THE R-SLUR AGAINST MOONPAW AND THINKING CALLING HER THE PRODUCT OF INBREEDING IS FUNNY? GO GET A LIFE.

Context for some of my followers who are not into Warrior Cats: Moonpaw is a new character introduced in a blurb relating to a new Warrior Cats arc, called Changing Skies. There have been many speculations on what she'll look and act like, but recently controversy has spread and now people are joking about her inbred family tree and even using the r-slur in extreme cases.

And for you all in the Warrior Cats tag looking at this post and wondering why the title of this post is that, it's because I have defended my stance against a character with both physical and mental disabilities before; Cabby (II). Not exactly defend her, but defended my stance on when I said that I don't understand the reason behind her files (that being there wasn't too much content of her struggling with her memory for me to appreciate it, which WE ARE GETTING MORE CONTENT OF IN THE FUTURE, AMAZING).

Of course, this is Warrior Cats, not Inanimate Insanity. So I fully expect that if Moonpaw has autism and/or ADHD, she'll be forced into medicine cat duties just like Cinderpelt and Jayfeather were. It'll also probably be just a quirky, relatable thing that could potentially define her personality. II does have a bit of a problem with this, but I will not bring up examples because most of the people reading this will potentially be Warrior Cats fans who have zero idea on what Inanimate Insanity is.

Now I am aware that ADHD and autism are hereditary things. There's the most common hereditary neurodevelopmental disabilities a child can have. But if Moonpaw has ADHD and autism, then DON'T BLAME IT ON INBREEDING. BLAME IT ON SOMEONE IN THE FAMILY TREE.

Okay, that's not a good approach either, but hear me out. We all should stop joking on inbreeding in the series. Yes, the Erins have lost track on these cats time and time again and that has led to a lot of inbreeding. But maybe it's because there's over 1,000 NAMED CATS IN THE WHOLE SERIES? And even more off-screen potentially? Did you ever think about that? 20 cats I can get, 100 is a bit ambitious, but OVER 1,000? Yeah, impossible to track without the tree's branches getting all tangled up.

Yes, Moonpaw's potential father (if her father is Nightheart) has a fucked up family tree full of inbreeding. However, I'd say the line Nightheart comes from (the BrambleSquirrel line) is very sleek, narrow, and not really that conflicting. Brambleclaw and Squirrelstar had Sparkpelt and Alderheart (as well as Dandelionkit and Juniperkit but they're dead), Sparkpelt and Larksong had Nightheart and Finchlight, Nightheart and Sunbeam have Moonpaw. I'd say I blame it on Leafpool for the fuckery that is the Firestar family tree.

And Sunbeam? She's a descendant of fucking Snowbird, the cat that has had the most kits in the series at 9, including Berryheart. Sure, Larksong is a descendant of Cloudtail and that is also a fucked up family tree, but Nightheart's part of the tree is fairly narrow.

Even if you blame someone in the family tree for Moonpaw's potential disabilities, you really shouldn't. Sure, my ADHD is hereditary, but for ASD, autism-causing mutations are spontaneous. Even if your parents don't have autism, you can still have a genetic mutation that can give you or your descendants ASD.

So what's the moral of the story about this fucked up post about how the family tree is something you shouldn't blame for Moonpaw's potential disability? Simple.

Never call anything or anyone with a potential disability the r-slur and blame it on their family tree, no matter how fictional or real they are. Or simply, Never use the r-slur, especially against someone with a potential disability that could've caused their actions.

Now I except this post to be countered way more often than the Cabby post because Warriors Cats is bigger than Inanimate Insanity and this is a relatively new topic still, but I patiently await your responses and counters.

Now, one fan of this show, however, is in a certain river of Egypt. Who is this fan in denial? Well, many of you maggots know and love @random-doctor-on-the-internet, Ash, for those who've seen them on the server.

Now Ash here has made several beautiful fanarts of Crowley, quotes Good Omens more than I do, wears three lovely Good Omens pins, has a corner of their wall devoted to Good Omens, has engaged in many discussions of Good Omens, is a fan of Neil's work, and married the Good Omens Mascot (yours truly) ten times.

AND YET: THEY INSIST THEY ARE NOT A GOOD OMENS FAN.

They said they would admit to being a fan if I made a public apology for calling them Aziraphale-coded, when they believe they are more Beelzebub coded or Anathema coded.

Let the record state that I am doing no such thing. What I am pointing out is the fact that they agreed, essentially, that they are a good omens fan, the only thing keeping them from admitting it is whether or not I make the apology.

I'm simply presenting the facts to you, the People, about Ash's affair with Good Omens. Now. Is Ash a Good Omens fan?

Wahoo, hello~!!!!! Thanks @you-remind-me-of-the-babe for the tag!! GOD hi I am tired but also in a weird mood. For the ones who might've missed: I had a lil vacation and went to London to see Hadestown. It was a lot of fun, and we also got last minute Hamilton tickets. I also jokingly said to someone that it was "London, of Carry On fame", but to be honest, fandom was on my mind a lot.

My mum and I went to Chelsea for a restaurant she wanted to try out and yes, okay, Fiona really is rich, huh? It's also so hard to grasp that London really is that big. Yes, Baz lives with Fiona in Chelsea and Simon and Penny move to Camberwell. Close by, right? It's both in London, right? RIGHT?

We also visited Soho, which I know from sconey's fic The Gay Bar (lol) and I almost convinced mum to check out Mayfair, for Lady Ruth, but she was too tired (fair, I dragged her along everywhere). Mayfair felt easier than, you know, Hackney Wick, since that is also on the other side of London. Jeez.

I also went back to Waterstones Picadilly (... several times), which is where I first met Simon and Baz in 2013, because that's where I bought Fangirl!

Funnily enough, the Myosotis series, aka a Klaine fic, was also on my mind a lot. In Myosotis sylvatica, you learn that Pret a Manger is EVERYWHERE in New York (I think it bought Starbucks?? Don't quote me on it.) (I know it's my own fic, but it's been a while.) and I did that because I was inspired by the massive amount of Pret a Manger in London. Also, yes, I went to this city for Hadestown. Shout out to, uh, me, for replanning the entire timeline of Myosotis verna so that Kurt and Blaine could go to Hadestown on their first date.

Also, I am obsessed with Chinatown and YES it made me think of the struggles of 吃了吗? again but HEY the hotpot that I talked about last week ended up being amazing! Also, close to Chinatown is the theatre that hosts Magic Mike Live, which played a big role in my Snowbaz textfic.

It all started with the Humdrum sending magickal monkeys to disrupt the welcome picnic. I’m actually quite afraid of monkeys. When I was a kid a monkey had escaped from the zoo and this asshole at primary school kept telling everyone that this monkey would kill us. So I am glad I wasn’t there. Longish time follower, first time “asker” - thank you so much for your service to the GO fandom!! Your blog is a source of joy and wonderful information in a time of great excitement! I’ll be honest - I pretty much only follow you and Neil on here, and the updates are the main reason I’m on tumblr at all! That said, I just checked out the Aziraphale and Crowley tag very briefly and oh dear…. (Firstly, I haven’t seen the leak, but I think I nearly got spoiled, so I’m staying far away from everything except yours and Neil’s blogs from now on!) But anyway, I think it’s wonderful that all us fans have so much excitement and anticipation for the show, but as a fellow person on the ace spectrum, it saddens me to see how much people worry about queerbaiting when Neil, David, and Michael have all already said in so many different ways that Aziraphale and Crowley are a love story. There’s no speculation to speculate on! I understand why people are nervous, we’ve all been burnt before. But I hope that all of us - myself included! - can realize that just because a fictional relationship doesn’t look the way WE want it to doesn’t mean that anyone mislead us. I think Neil has always been very clear from the very beginning about the nature of their relationship. I trust Neil and I know that, whatever does or doesn’t happen, he won’t let Aziraphale and Crowley down, and he won’t let us down, and most of all, he won’t let Terry down. I suppose this isn’t really a question, more of a reaching out to someone who also has great love for this story and its characters as they are. <3

yes yes absolutely!! sometimes i am late and sometimes i just leave it in there so i can have it stay unread but anyway i try to respond and i appreciate everyone who sends them to me. i have historically been a oneshot writer so it's been nice also to get comments on wips!

oh shoot angstiest ending?? well i think i would say my supercorptober ficlet about memory loss of sorts might tick that (it ends kinda idk open but not bad, i will say)

but then there's also this one old soccer RPF i wrote that's more, idk, poetry than any real fic about one of them leaving lmao

surprisingly, i do not. what i instead do is just little spin through five fandoms at any given time and just confuse myself that way

unfortunately yes. twice now. once was for my victorious fic that was used for a 5th harmony RPF lmaooo

and then on thanksgiving weekend, the first chapter of Crepe AU was posted by an anonymous for a The Wilds ship (but my friends rallied to get it taken down so i didn't have to send a takedown form to ao3 while i was traveling home)

nope but that would be totally rad

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

i love fic writing group work so yes! i have a series of sad angsty women that i have with my best friend in my revue starlight fandom, and then, of course, @sideguitars and i have 'humans in the storeroom' (that reminds me it's my turn to write the next part smh)

i also like jumping into writing sprints or writing exercises with folks (like a round robin)

sorry no can do i love them all because i wrote them and there are so many things i enjoy about them. but i will say that the writing events circuit i've done this past year (supercorp bigbang, bumbleby big bang, and swan queen winter solstice) are born out of a lot of labor of love and i'm really proud of the work i've done for them.

and not for a writing event, but i am also extremely proud of re:live for mayakuro fandom-- that one makes me think that if i never wrote for that fandom again, that that's a really good fic to end on)

 What is this blog?

This blog is an imagines/scenarios/positivity blog for Toby Fox’s game, “Undertale!” Here you can submit & request imagines/scenarios for specific Undertale characters, or any sort of positivity about the game that you’d like to share. (Sorry, no Deltarune scenarios, just Undertale!)

I see you allow Submissions! What sort of stuff can I submit?

Feel free to submit your fanart, fanfiction, personal headcanons, or anything positive having to do with Undertale! Nothing NSFW, please.

Also feel free to tag us, if you can’t get to the Submit box. Just use the tag #underimagines to show us your creations!

Do you do/accept NSFW headcanons/imagines?

No. Any & all NSFW requests are deleted on sight. This blog is (for the most part) family-friendly!

Do you do scenarios/imagines for ships?

We do indeed! We will do Human/Monster, Human/Human, & Monster/Monster ships for either characters or Reader/Etc (though this may be dependent on the Mod who takes the request). The type of ships we do varies with the characters. All Reader-Inserts are Gender-Neutral unless specified otherwise.

Mod Mellow will do scenarios involving adult versions of Chara, Frisk, Flowey, Asriel Dreemurr, & Monster Kid, based on the results of this poll that they took concerning the matter. All answers pertaining to this situation will be tagged with “Adulttale” for those who would rather blacklist it.

There are specific ships we will not write for.

What sort of positivity can I submit to this blog?

Thinking about your Avenday comic with the ship child and—ohh I love how Sunday’s ear wings are bigger now, and I also saw the tag saying that his hair was waist length. He ended up becoming more like his mother, both in appearance and perhaps even attitude… Let’s hope he doesn’t become too much like her though and styles his hair like the “dead mom hairstyle” ahaha, hah.

Ok off topic but I feel the need to rant a little regarding the relationship between Ratio and Sunday. I’ve only seen a few people (including you) talk about this, so I felt like expressing my own opinion on the matter. I know (or at least, would like to believe) that people are mostly joking about Ratio hating Sunday, but I feel like people actually believe that he genuinely hates him when… it’s never felt that way to me. To me, Ratio was more so concerned about Sunday’s mental health, but simply worded it in a more direct/blunt way since that’s just how he is. Even during the 2.1 quest, I never got the feeling that Ratio hated him. Sure, he could have disliked Sunday a bit, but not to the point of feeling genuine hatred towards him. Didn’t Ratio even say that Sunday thought alike to Aventurine, who is someone that we know he’s concerned about? If he’s worried about Aventurine, and Ratio compares Sunday to him, then that kinda leads me to believe he has some concern for him too, but just in a somewhat less obvious way. Again, this is just my opinion though. As someone who loves/kins both Ratio and Sunday, it just kinda hurts to see this mischaracterization 😭

and..........................funny you bring up the Ratio/Sunday thing when I was just done calming myself after seeing yet another post about Ratio being Sunday's biggest hater AGAINST MY WILL...! makes my eye twitch.

if it's a joke like you said then i fail to see what's funny 😭 if anything it makes ppl who were neutral on Ratio hate him and those who hated him have even more reasons to, because it depicts the Doctor as having ill will toward someone who he knows needs medical help? it's so weird so-called Ratio fans would mischaracterize him like this! wouldn't they want to highlight the best- or at the very least accurate parts of Ratio's character? that guy? you know? Doctor of Truth? values truth above all else?

I just feel bad for the constant butchering of this dude's character and for Sunday tbh. the things these people twist to fit their narrative. I ranted abt this on the side acc in replies with a friend on why I think they did this but let's just say it's. for petty reasons. sadge.
