Summary:

you found yourself scrolling immensely through all sorts of social media. trying to cure the boredom that grew throughout your body. you rolled over onto your stomach in defeat, placing your phone down and grabbing your unfinished book.

you figured if you got really into the book, time would pass, and itd be time for bed once you finished. you flipped over to the page you left on and began reading.

as time went by, you found yourself in a whole other position. back against the headboard of your bed and your legs crisscrossed. you had the book almost directly in front of your face. not daring to take your eyes off for even a second.

“what!?” you grumbled, as you turned the page you were met with credits. the book had left you on a cliffhanger. you shut your eyes in frustration while a smile tugged at the corner of your lips.

“now im forced to buy the sequel.”

as the sun began to set, you started looking around for your phone. once you reached over and held it in your grip. you saw over 50 messages from your groupchat. your eyes widened in confusion as your fingers were quick to unlock your phone.

half an hour passed and you were now getting ready for bed you. you found yourself smiling to yourself as the only thing running through your mind was his comment.

they have all collectively liked a few of your videos on tiktok. but for it to be on instagram really shocked you to your core. matt wasn’t one to be active on any social platform. he had probably liked atleast 5 videos on your tiktok but that was it.

This is the last post on this simblr/tumblr for a while. The Boys and their mentors entered the Therapy Game 2.0 (= inZOI) I got my hands on the Creator Studio where I can already enter Build Mode and the Character Creator! The new tumblr/ZOIblr where I will post about their future adventures is -> here

Since the corrupted Therapy Game save file made them forget everything, we will start with a whole new story line!

So, I won't log in here as soon as I start inZOI. (Since it's a completely other blog and I won't log back and forth ö.ö) Which will probably be sooner than expected! I'm trying to get my hands on one of the keys that drop from 20th March on. And if I'm lucky, I can enter Create a ZOI again and build mode! (Edit: as mentioned above, I was lucky!) I'm over and over baffled again how well my timing was! I think it turned out quite well with the story and we can leave the Boys with a good feeling. There was a time when I feared they'd get sucked ingame against their will and that would have left me with a heavy heart. So them all entering of their own free will was a relief for me and I can move on. And I still have the possibility to come back anytime (= the manage to get out of the Therapy Game) Not only the Boys needed a break. I'm so utterly fed up with the Sims 4 but it was impossible for me to leave without the Boys. So I hope inZOI and maybe also Paralives will keep us busy for a while until I calmed down again ^^' I say 'hiatus' but it's also possible that I will never touch the Sims 4 again. I can't tell right now. But maybe I'll miss the goats and log in anyway hahaha

The amazing digital circus chapter 5...

Bro, I was left wanting more, what an insane episode, I really liked it XD. At first, I thought it was going to be full-on comedy with how everything was playing out, but starting from the stargazing scene, things got pretty serious.

I really liked that we finally got to learn a bit more about the characters and their lives before joining the circus. That part was strangely wholesome, and I totally didn’t expect Jac to show any kind of vulnerability, at least not yet. But from the softball game onward, I started to feel a bit uneasy. The atmosphere felt off, there was no background music, and I don’t know… there’s something weird going on between Ragatha and Jax that’s driving me crazy to find out. I can’t tell if Ragatha’s showing jealousy or if she feels like she’s being pushed aside, I ma dying to know more.

And the ending with the NPC… honestly, I don’t even know what to think hahaha. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go rewatch the episode in Latin American Spanish. See ya!

Oh, and by the way, the amount of rule and fanart that’s gonna come out of this in the next few days is gonna be WILD, mark my words. 🗿

Well, after watching the episode two more times, once in my language and once in Japanese, I realized two things:

1. Supposedly, Caine isn’t able to control the minds of the characters, but he did manage to force Jax to become vegan, so technically, he can alter aspects of their personality.

2. In the trippy, hallucination-like sequence, there’s a moment where Jax reaches a door belonging to a character with a crossed-out face. Throughout the episode, it’s mentioned that Jax used to have a friend, so it’s very likely that they’ll dive deeper into his lore and the reason why he is the way he is…I’m dying from the hype.

Well. It's been like three years since I've done one of these, hahaha, but I've been missing fandom life so I thought it'd be fun to share an update of where I'm sitting. Toddlers manage to take like 140% of your time and energy, even though they sleep a lot, so I've mostly just been parenting, but I've been getting the writing bug lately, so there's very slow progress, but progress nonetheless.

Basically, I have a list of fics I want to make sure I finish. They're the ones it would break my heart to look back on twenty years from now and realize I put all that time and those words into something that never got shared. I haven't been having new ideas very much, so I'm putting all my creative energy into things I've either promised to other people or to myself.

It's a no-powers Ults AU where Tony is dying of his (canon!) brain cancer and Steve is a security specialist/bodyguard who Tony hires to be around while he dies. Yay for finishing old wips!

This wiplist is basically just going to be my list of "I'll be sad if I never finish them" fics I mentioned above. I have no plans to stop writing fic entirely, but I'm definitely slowing down, and I want to focus on the stuff that will feel really good to have done so I don't ever leave myself or you guys hanging!

1) Held edit (the chaptered repost) and Held Remix (at least S1). @ashes0909 and I are picking away at it, but between three kids, two jobs, and two timezones, it's slow af. But we'll get there.

2) My other 2023 MTH fic, older professor Tony and young flirty student Steve for @sabrecmc pod bid. It's maybe a third done.

3) My contribution to the Stony Dating Sim game from MTH 2024 (I'm doing Ults Tony as a love interest. If you want to know more, check out @stevetonydatingsim).

4) My Stony Twilight AU. I posted a snippet of it here a long time ago and I've been picking at it ever since. It's at 33k and probably about halfway done.

5) Fangbait 3. My Fangbait series was always intended to have three parts. Two are up already. The third was on hiatus for a long time, but I just abruptly wrote 80% of it last night, so once I get the sex scenes (and a title oh no) done, she'll be good to go!

6) Yet I Will Try the Last has been waiting for waaay too long for an update and I feel really bad about it. It was the one time I experimented with posting an unfinished WIP (mostly because it started as a oneshot and then I started adding to it) and I regretti spaghetti every day that I did that lol. I. Have. Not. Given. Up. I have the outline for the rest, I know what I want to do, I just need to do it.

7) Brooklyn is a canon divergence from right after Avengers 2012 where Stony travels on a modified quinjet together, cleaning up the chitauri weapon's market. It's maybe a third to a half done? Another one I started a loooong time ago and never got my steam back with, but I would really like to. I really like that one.

8) A Venom/Eddie fic from right after the first movie. It's not too long and it's probably also about halfway done, so I believe in myself. It's called Parasite.

9) A collab started a few years ago that I'm not going to out here in case my collab partner doesn't want to do it anymore, but we did a fair bit of it so I'd love to get it done.

Writing comes in little spurts, but I have to pick and choose between my hobbies now, so I just have less time and energy to spend on one thing. I've been trying to read more to fuel the words! I also have OG stuff I'm working on, but that's just as slow as the other stuff lol. I miss you guys! Hope y'all are doing well. (Happy Easter if you celebrate!)

Year-End Writer's Roundup: 2024 edition

It’s that time of year, writer friends: time to take stock of what we’ve been up to this year! Words written (published or not, WIPs totally count too!!): 882 674. A decrease compared to previous years, but there is a good reason for this (even though I need to keep reminding myself that it’s a good thing) — more details below.

Smut scenes: 44 — similar to the past few years.

New things I tried:

I wrote a fully-fledged poly ship for the first time with Halsin, Astarion and my Tav, complete with feelings and all! I’ve written sexual-only threesomes/moresomes before, but this is the first time I’ve had there be actual romance as well as sex. 

Significant M/M sexy time, including anal sex. I probably won’t write anal sex again for personal reasons, but I’m glad I dabbled at least.

I wrote something that I do not intend to post publicly, purely just for me. More on this later.

Fic I spent the most time on: 

My Astarion/Tav fic, just based on sheer number of words alone.

My Zoro/Reader fic, Relentless. These three chapters came together (HUEHUE) so quickly based on the sheer force of Zoro thirst. NOTHING LIKE THAT THREE-SWORD STYLE TO GET US WANTING HIS FOURTH SWORD 🤣

Favourite thing I wrote: 

This is tough this year aaaaaaaa. The Teia/Viago fic was one that I’d been wanting to write since 2020, and I’m grateful to the Veilguard hype for resparking that flame and making it happen. I LOVED writing all of my Halsin smut because Halsin just makes me SO CRAZY (I genuinely think he might be the one singular videogame boyfriend I’ve felt the most feral about). My Rolan/Tav fic felt like it was born from a very bright spark of inspiration, and I had a fun few weeks just blasting through writing that. 

But my #1 fave thing to write might have been the One Piece Sanji/OC fic that I am not planning to publish. Not publishing means there’s been no pressure to “make it good” or to figure out every detail of timelines/lore/OC backstory etc, so I can just do whatever I want. And that freedom to just make the fic mine, for me, has been really valuable this year. 

Favourite thing I read: 

Oh fuck, I read basically nothing this year HAHAHA. But I did read this one Sanji/Nico Robin smutfic that I REALLY loved. And I absolutely devoured a novel by one of my fave authors (Grown Ups by Marian Keyes) during our mini-vacay to Florida in February.

Writing goals for next year: 

My only goal for the coming year is this: to write only what I really WANT to write.

This probably sounds obvious, but it’s a whole thing that’s tied up with expectations of myself and self-worth and blah blah blah, so the rest of this post will be a bit of a personal essay that you can feel free to pass on HAHA.

I started therapy last year, and I’m in the part of my “therapy journey” now where one of the things I’m working through is the fact that I hold unhealthily high expectations of myself in basically every realm of my life. I force myself to suppress/compartmentalize/ignore my own feelings because I prioritize other people’s feelings over my own, and I spend a lot of my time focusing on things that I think I “should” be doing, at the expense of my own comfort levels/needs/physical or mental health etc. (ELDEST SISTER SYNDROME ANYONE?) And unfortunately, over the years, this way of operating has insidiously snuck its way into my writing.

When I first started writing fanfic in 2017, the writing was entirely born from an overwhelming desire to just get out this story in my head and make it a reality. I started writing for no other reason than because I wanted to. But as time went on and I gained a lovely following of readers, I started prioritizing my readers’ desires over my own. In particular, I’ve gotten too caught up by the idea of being That Writer™ who posts frequently and who finishes her fics: two qualities that I have often been praised for. This led to a habit of sticking to very strict schedules of always posting at least one chapter of something every single week — and if I was working on more than one fic, I would pressure myself to post a chapter of each fic every week. I would pressure myself to do this even when my back pain and migraines started flaring up in 2020, because I did not want to disappoint my readers.

To be clear: all of this was pressure coming from myself. Nobody was telling me I need to post every week or that I need to finish everything I write; I was the one holding myself to these insane standards. But for years, I’ve been able to meet these standards, and it hasn’t been a problem — or so I thought.

Then this year happened. Therapy stuff happened and health stuff got worse, and for the first time ever, I started having days where I just could not make myself write. I would sit at the computer for hours, unable to conjure any words. For some of my fics, this meant weeks or even months between updates. Sometimes when the words finally came, the writing felt like a struggle or a chore rather than an act of love, because I was doing something that I felt like I had to do rather than something I really wanted.

This has been absolute fucking torture for me. I felt so shitty about myself for not being able to do the one thing that I legitimately love doing the most in the world. This was especially distressing because I have given writing advice before stating that when you’re writing a long fic, you sometimes have to write shit you don’t want to write before you can get to the good stuff. And the fact that I’m struggling to do this now has left me feeling like a hypocrite and a failure for not being able to follow my own advice. 

To make things worse, some of the fandoms I’ve been writing for have been… unresponsive. The ratio of hits to actual comments has been pretty abysmal. The lack of engagement and encouragement just added onto the feelings of shittiness and inadequacy, as though I was failing to meet readers’ expectations somehow, and I can’t lie: it was part of why I stopped writing for one fandom this year, and I’ve never felt so bitter about finishing any fics as I did with a couple of the fics I wrapped up this year.

With time, a lot of tears and self-castigation, and ongoing therapy sessions, I’ve slowwwwwly realized that I am being unkind to myself by holding myself to such high expectations, and that I need to actively combat these expectations by refocusing on writing things that I want to write rather than worrying about disappointing my readers. I’m also working on writing only when I want to and when I feel good, i.e. not forcing myself to write when my head is throbbing or when I’m in too much pain to sit in my office chair. 

To this end, I have been writing some One Piece fic that I have no plans to post publicly: fic that is entirely self-indulgent fun. And it’s actually been the best exercise in returning to the hedonistic selfish joy of writing what I want, which is why I started doing this in the first place. Moving forward, I’m going to keep working on writing for myself first and foremost. I’ll strive to write what only what really sparks joy for me, and if that means my word count keep dropping year after year, I will try to remind myself that this is a good and healthy thing, since any words that I write should be a gift to myself first and foremost.

Heartbreaker Quarterly Update - April 2025

We made it to spring! Thank goodness! I feel like the world is waking up. Hope you all are well!

Let's start by having a look at last quarter's to-do list...

As always, brainstorming is ongoing. Now that's it's warm enough to take walks and sit outside the coffee shop, I'm sure we'll do even more of it.

My goal was to soft "finish" the first route by making it to the end of one of the branching paths, which I did!

Alex wound up pivoting away from programming and focusing on organization of route ideas. We also honed back in on character profiles instead. After Lite told us she would be retiring, we asked if we could do a few more concept art sessions. As you know by now, it's a superhero game, so a lot of characters have more than one look and are a bit complicated!

We also wound up commissioning our logo this past quarter from Khoaisama yet again! And Lite hit us with some adorable chibi art, as you can see here!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO! Look at that amazing logo and adorable chibi! Hammerhead is too freaking cute!! Oh my gosh, this looks way better than what I cobbled together above, doesn't it? Hahaha.

February 14th was huge as we got to reveal the game and core cast. We were not planning to do so for a while, but I got a little excited. I’m very hyped I can now type these quarterly updates and talk about the characters more freely. Last time I almost typed “Ham” and you woulda been like “you got us dating a cold cut??”

Anyways, my goal is to finish Ham's route next, and considering I'm just a few chapters from the end, I'm confident I'll be able to do it this month. Then I'd like to go back over, edit, and buff it up. After that, it's onto The Beast!

I'm looking forward to it. Though at the same time I must lament it's hard to devote as much time to writing as I wish I could. I wish I could do this full-time. TT_TT Or I wish four-day work weeks would become a thing already. There's just never enough free time in a week. Waaa.

Finally, we had 3 more concept sessions with Lite that went great! I dunno why I put it as a goal when our last session was this past Sunday. Maybe I'll dot a few T's and cross a few I's on my own end in that department...I messed up that saying...oh well. Alex will continue organizing route ideas, and we'll both be brainstorming and finalizing character profiles.

Like we did last time, I would like to leave you with an excerpt from our boy failure Hammerhead's route! This one showcases the interactions among the Heroes Alliance.

Good question, I think i will at least have every chapter written and not edited. The medical leak au ended up becoming so stressful because I didn't pre-write it and it took so fucking long lmao. I also work a really stressful full-time job and do a shit tonne of exercise, so the whole writing every night to get chapters up wasn't fun. So yeah, I think I'll pre write. Explaining the Pit Babe novel (1/2)

If you’ve just seen the drama and you’re curious in what way it differs from the original text, this post is just for you.

So, the story begins exactly like in the drama, there’s a race in which Babe participates and afterwards he meets Charlie lurking around the corners. He tries to chase him away at first but agrees to try him out in the end. Babe tells Charlie to come to his condo later (so they don’t do it near the lockers like in the drama) and because it’s Charlie’s first time, he completely doesn’t know how to start. Babe actually has to show him everything which makes him kind of annoyed, but Charlie doesn’t emit the alfa scent he hates so much, so he takes him on probation as a Babe’s boy.

Babe is actually pretty posessive with Charlie and although they are seeing each other for months, he doesn’t let anyone see his face. They usually cover it when they’re together in public and part of the reason is that it would be problematic if Charlie got harassed because of his relationship with Babe, as he’s a popular racer after all. On the contrary, in the drama Babe takes him to X Hunter’s party on the first day.

Almost half of the story actually doesn’t have anything to do with X Hunter, it’s just Charlie, Babe and their domestic life. Although Babe thinks Charlie’s just a naive, stupid kid, he slowly starts to develop some kind of connection with him. What makes Babe trust Charlie is that in his eyes Charlie is too much of a dumb, sweet person to lie and deceive anybody. His feelings develop gradually, it starts with him feeling restless and bored while Charlie’s not near, making Charlie move in, and buying him a new table, so he can do his editing work comfortably. He lets Charlie do more and more things that he didn’t allow anybody else before. For example, he doesn’t like being called Phi in bed, but he doesn’t complain when Charlie does it. Once, he goes out with his leg injured to pick Charlie up in the rain. And he sulks so much when Charlie doesn’t pay attention to him. Instead of telling him that he wants to spend some time together, he’s walking around dramatically and tries to catch his attention. When they kiss tenderly for the first time while stargazing, Babe’s heart is beating so fast that he can't control himself. He realizes that he has feelings for Charlie. And because Charlie seems not affected by it as much as he is, he gets really angry in his head. He kind of starts to avoid Charlie and doesn't want to have s*x with him because he is too embarrassed to look Charlie in the eyes. Well, Charlie fell for Babe after their first time, so of course it wasn’t that much of a shock for him. Poor Babe.

Generally, Charlie and Babe have lots of s*x. Like, really a lot. Almost every chapter, sometimes multiple times. And it’s quite a kinky s*x. Charlie calls Babe Papa and Babe calls Charlie Daddy. Babe loves when Charlie gets angry in bed, because he likes it rough, and he loves dirty talking. His s*x drive is amazingly big, on the beginning Charlie can't keep up with him. However, Charlie quickly learns how to do it according to Babe’s preferences and later in the story even Babe isn’t sure whether Charlie just tries to please him or he really is into it (probably the second option, hahaha). Babe is a creampie king and later we discover that they have breeding kink too, as they start to call each other Mama and Papa in bed, joking how Charlie’s gonna make Babe pregnant (but outside of bed Babe actually doesn’t want to have children at all as he dislikes them).

Charlie takes care of Babe very well - he cooks him nutritious meals, massages him and does everything Babe wants. On the very beginning Charlie acts all scared and confused since Babe’s getting angry very easily, but he learns with time how to handle him and even how to talk back. They have this agreement that they’ll both take advantage of each other, so nobody is really used. There are lots of acts of jealousy, especially from Charlie’s side, since Babe is open physically with other men, usually his friends. Babe gets angry that he tries to control him, and then Charlie says that if Babe can do it, then he will also meet somebody else, as their contract doesn’t forbid it, which makes Babe even angrier. It’s a recurring problem in their relationship, however one time in the first half of the story they have this angry s*x and agree to only have each other.

There isn’t any kind of big conflict with Babe avoiding Charlie because of jealousy for Jeff, for a long time Babe doesn’t even know of Jeff’s existence. There also is no Red Racing, no Kim, no Dean, Jeff doesn’t work at the garage. The real X Hunter plot starts after Babe gets into accident on the track and Charlie proposes to take his place. Before he only gets a car and is guided by Babe (who shouts at him a lot, because Charlie can’t learn how to get through the corners, hahaha), North and Sonic have to teach Charlie too. The big conflict happens when Babe learns of Charlie’s intrigue - that he’s Tony’s adopted son, he lied to him and took his power away. Initially, Charlie searched for Babe because he heard Tony saying that he’s gonna make someone named Babe have children with Enigma from their house and so, he wanted to save him. But when he got to know Babe, he actually fell for him.

However, for Babe lie is a lie. He chases Charlie away from his condo, ignores his calls and cuts him out of his life. After that Babe tries to find a new sex partner, but he rejects the guy before it goes far, because he realizes that no one will be good but Charlie. He still misses him and wants him by his side, although he is very angry and hurt. At those times Charlie calls Babe everyday on the same hour and Babe picks it up once while drunk. Then both of them get horny and they mast*bate dirty talking to each other, but Babe doesn’t let Charlie to come to him. There’s also this one upsetting scene in which after the race Charlie tries to talk to Babe and Babe decides to give him only a short while. The whole thing ends with Babe facef*cking Charlie who agrees to it, because it’s better than not having Babe in his life at all.

They reconcile after Way confesses his feelings for Babe and gets rejected, so he decides to take Babe by force, using his power to make him unable to move. Way starts kissing and touching him, however Charlie appears in time, using his powers to stop Way and he wakes Babe up. Babe shouts at Way, who admits that he’s an Enigma sent to make him pregnant. He says that after he got to know Babe, he fell for him and decided to wait patiently for Babe to start loving him and wanting to start a family together. Babe feels betrayed by it, because Way should understand and know him more than anybody else, that he never wants to have children. He yells that Way doesn’t even treat him as a person, trying to make him feel like he was so good because he decided not to r*pe him for the last 10 years. Both Charlie and Babe leave Way’s place with Babe in shambles. Charlie keeps his distance from Babe and gives him the space to think things through, organize his feelings after the things that happened.

Babe realizes that although Charlie and Way both lied to him, they got different motives. Way came to harm him and Charlie came to protect him, and that made Babe forgive Charlie. He walks out of his bedroom and sees that Charlie’s watching TV, not sleeping at all. They watch it together in silence and then start talking. Babe gets emotional and asks Charlie to hug him, then to have s*x because he wants to enjoy it again, forget about what Way almost did to him. Unconsciously, he’s nervous and can’t relax while being touched, so Charlie makes him smile with the things he says. In the morning Babe confesses to Charlie (before, his love language was giving three kisses as in I love you) and asks him to be his boyfriend. Charlie is very shocked but he agrees. Babe learns about other powers Charlie has, such as lie detection skill, hunch (he feels that something might happen and asks Jeff to see the future, that’s how he learnt about what Way was about to do), this kinda thing he used on Way and many others. He tells Babe a story from his childhood that he got to know his power of stealing other people’s abilities, because he took his mom’s power away. And after she died, power faded away, so Charlie came up with a theory that maybe it works in the opposite way too - that when Charlie dies, the powers will come back to their original owners. Babe responds that what he gives, he doesn’t take back, which means he doesn’t care about his ability anymore if it means having Charlie die. Such a sweet line, it’s a pity they didn’t use it in the drama. And that’s about the first half of the novel.

Hello, I am back with more questions for wip snippets, this time focused on tags and organization, because you are very good at those

one distinction between the ways we do things is that I post full chapters on tumblr as well as on AO3, and I intend to do so.

Currently, I have a main tag per fic, which is on the masterpost, the chapter posts, and any fanart I reblog (which also has art-specific tags). For Wip Snippets, I am adding the tags #wip snippet for in general and #wip: [wip title here]. for specifically.

My dilemma is this: I am not sure how I want to connect the wip snippet posts to the chapter posts, in particular with ones which I have already written and posted a decent amount.

I think my end goals for things you can do with the tags is along the lines of 1. able to read all posted chapters without the wip snippets, 2. be able to read all the wip snippets and also see where a new chapter exists, and 3. when the snippets start mid-story, be easily able to start reading at the beginning, and then continue through the snippets

I don't think I want to put the snippet tag on the chapter posts, because then if someone wants to filter snips, they would miss the full chapters. (unless they're just filtering the general wip snippet tag... I wouldn't put that on the chapter posts, just the specific one)

I think I probably will put the wip tag on the story masterposts, to accomplish desire 3, and it's not like I'll be posting the masterpost more than once, and it's linked on all the chapter posts.

But what would you advise for goals 1 and 2 to coexist?

I would definitely prefer not to add a whole third tag to put on everything, because that just feels. overkill or something.

sorry for belated response and not sure if you solved this for yourself already, but in the event you didn't or still want an extra outside perspective from someone who does a lot of tag-sorting of their shit:

I think just having a story-specific WIP tag handles "read all WIP snippets and also see where new chapters update" pretty well, because personally I tag all my new chapters with their story's WIP tag too, since they are in fact a part of a larger WIP and that way people who're reading through the whole WIP tag can still get the full collected story-so-far in order if there's anything new in there. I also tag my AO3 updates with a specific tag I have for finished fic, so if anyone's just after my fully-edited stuff, there's info about what's been posted/updated lately and there's also direct links to any new chapters/stories right there for them. Obviously it's not a story-specific sorting method, but depending on how many WIPs you've got going and how often they all update, it's an option. Otherwise, though, I think including a link to a masterpost of all the chapters is probably your best alternative to adding another tag.

Though really, personal opinion, I don't think adding another tag would be overkill? A tag where the reader can read all of the finished chapters through smoothly without leaving the website/app is convenient said reader, plus at least for me personally I feel tags aren't disruptive to the flow of the post. Also going through a specific tag is actually a LOT less steps than clicking the masterpost link and then having to go back and forth from the masterpost to the chapter and then back-buttoning for the next chapter over and over and over, so if anything I think it makes for a more streamlined reading experience.

Also, obviously it all depends on your personal goals and preferences for the story and the way you're posting it, but literally no one has ever complained to me that I was TOO organized and I'd made it TOO easy for them to find the previous installments of a story, hahaha. So like, it's very unlikely anyone would be bothered in any significant way by an extra tag or two, in my experience.

Updates

Next week's chapter will be a new fic called "Yokoya Days." It's gonna be small chapters, exploring the blank period of when Yun was found and Kyoshi and Rangi's time in the mansion during those two years. Aka it's a canon compliant prequel. (this and Death of Kyoshi were two fics I wanted to begin and publish since I started Hunt and Thief...but got distracted by other stuff TT0TT).

I've actually reused some ideas for flashbacks in other fics from this one (remixed it slightly to work within the way that fic works. Ex: Rangi/Yun's first meeting in Thief and how he hits on Rangi, and an upcoming chapter in Two Knives with the Masters). Will still use those ideas here cause the scenarios will either hit different, or just have different content entirely.

Well better late than never!

Since it's canon compliant, sadly Kyoshi and Rangi can't get together. ;w; But that doesn't mean I can't explore them becoming friends, and slowly developing feelings for each other! >:3c It's suppose to be about the Yokoyan trio, plus maybe some other fun events, but ofc I'm biased and R*ngshi is taking control. Plus I feel like they have more chances to interact on the estate (both seem to be running around while Yun trains, so like...yeah, they're probs gonna run into each other more often uwu).

I dunno it just feels like a fun thing to explore (and gives me a reason to write gayby!Rangi trying her best™). And I just think it'd be fun to have a lil fic going where there's low to no stakes, and slice of life elements to it. (plus it being short will allow me to write it faster, and give me more of a weekly buffer for other fics *sob* I'm trying to dodge going on hiatus again ok??? *sob*)

Plus it'll be a little challenge, seeing as only Kyoshi can go into town during that time, and Rangi/Yun will have to leave for missions from time to time. So I'd have limited setting to work with. *sob*

No arcs, this is episodic. Most of what I have imagined is during the first year (aka when they babies are all 14).

Chipping away at Hunt's ch 13-15.....but I might have to split ch 14 into two parts. It's at 5000ish words right now and like.... oof.

I have the ending part done and the beginning part of the chapter started. But if it's 5000 words now and I'm not even like....through the middle part?! *sob*

I mean, who knows? Maybe I'll be quick and concise with all the stuff in the middle?

Two Knives..... I need to edit Interlude 6 some more. Need to start on the first chapter of arc 2. All scenarios are basically done with Arc 2, I just need to write it out (and decide the order of a few of them).

The story will need to be at least 3 Arcs. But I don't really have the direction I wanna go for Arc 3 clear in my mind.

The Boys got up early. Today is Ji Ho's first Therapy Game session. Ji Ho still supports Jack with his yoga and meditation practice to ease his pain and they convinced Saiwa to join them this morning. It will do him good too.

And while Jack explains the asanas to Sai, Ji Ho is lost in thought. He worries it will hurt Vlad if he marries Caleb ingame. Vlad doesn't deserve this after all he went through because of him.

Ji Ho has to talk about this before he enters the game for the first time. And so he told Sai and Jack about his worries. But Jack reassures him: "Vlad told me to tell you that whatever you do in your therapy is ok for him. Don't worry."

Saiwa: "Even though it is made up as a game, we all have to keep our end goals in mind. All of us. Always. The journey will be the reward. Whatever helps you to - safely - get your feelings back, will also help Vlad. When you're able to overcome your trauma, you will finally be able to love Vlad. And Vlad knows that. So don't hold back because of him."

Saiwa is right. All this madness has to end so Vlad and he can finally be together. Jack: "What happens in the game, stays in the game. Ok?" Haha, Jack is obviously also thinking of Lou and him ^^' Ji Ho: "Ok." But they all agreed that Vlad won't attend when Ji Ho is in his Therapy Game. For his own good.

It's still early and they decided to go for a swim before breakfast and Ji Ho's session. So Ji Ho can relax a bit.

They changed into their swim wear and when Jack turned around, Ji Ho and Saiwa couldn't believe their eyes. The rash on Jack's lower back is gone! Saiwa: "Omg Jack!"

It's still painful as hell when he's not ingame, but his whole body hurts so Jack didn't even notice since when because he doesn't see it! So does the therapy work already or is it because of his steady yoga and meditation practice or because he's apart from Kiyoshi? (Oh my, I know this so well! I try a lot of stuff which is supposed to help me with my condition and when I finally suceed on sth, I have no idea what exactly it was that helped!) He twists and turns but he can't see it ^^' Jack, the puppy chasing his own tail hahaha.

Jack: "I take this as a sign to go for it should Lou hit on me!" Of course he does...

Ji Ho and Saiwa sighed. But they also take it as a good sign: that the Therapy Game will help them. And Sai is determined to enter the game after Ji Ho is back safe and sound. They have to move on. And they'll have to return back home to the others and fix their relationships.

Saiwa and Ji Ho go back to the house to prepare breakfast. And lazy Jack stayed in the water.

1 ⧽. if you could sit down and finish any one of your wips without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), which fic would you choose?

A fanfic of La Horde du Contrevent that I started a decade - holy shit - ago, while in rather bad place. I'd like to finish it, but the nature of it (heavy on pastiche) means I really really need to go back to the source material to do so, and having a sort of love-hate relationship to that book, I write in extremely small increments. But if I could really go full-focus on it and write non-stop? I don't think it would take me more than two days tops to finish, not counting editing which is always especially fun with pastiche. Dream scenario, tbh, especially since my new years resolution was to finish it this year. I already have a whole chapter fully done and it's supposed to be only two chapters long. I can do it! But will I?

I want to write longer fics! Whenever someone's like "hahaha this was supposed to be only five chapters long but it ended up being 40" I want to cry. How do they do it!!! I'm already so proud of myself when I manage to go over 10 000 words :')

Since no one is curious about any particular fic, I'll just answer in a general sense, Lav 🥲 I'll address it to everyone who'd come across this post. 1. How long does it take me to plan and write a story? Do I take breaks during the process? > I don't have stellar records. So far, out of nine that I uploaded on ffnet, I have two completed one shots (one of those, I promised I'd write a part two, but I'm not interested in it anymore), a completed short multi-chapter fic, a microfic anthology, and then all the rest are WIPs. I've been DM for 7-8 years now... That's how long it is to plan my most read fic xD Technically, it is complete, but I promised some extra chapters and I could just never get it done. I'm answering in a roundabout way because I'm not as organized as Lav when planning and writing my fics. I don't keep records, I mostly go by feeling. However, if I do put my mind into it, I guess I could be the type to set a deadline and get it done. Though it's not a guarantee that I'd get the response that I hope for, and that makes me feel gutted. So, in my case, after getting familiar with my writer self through all these years, I need to believe in the importance of a fic more than anyone so that no matter the response and readership, I'd never stop until it's complete. How long does it take me to plan and write a story? Until the will to do it takes me through its completion, that's my answer. Do I take breaks? Hahaha! It's breaks that need to be taken from me.

2. How do I decide what tense and POV(s) to use? > Past. Third person limited POV. Those are my default. I don't think much about it. 3. Talk about your editing and revision process. > Even after I finish uploading a fic, I'll always end up finding errors here and there. I don't have a perfect chapter unlike PianoCoat. When I see an error in PianoCoat's chapter, I'm like, "whoa, that's rare." I edit for as long as I see mistakes, and for as long as I wanted to check for mistakes. I used to be more prudent with this, especially with my first fic, but recently, I don't have much time anymore, and you know, that's fine. I run it through Grammarly-sensei and even after then, I'd still catch some errors. Fresh eyes? Don't know her. Maybe give it five to ten years, then I'd truly have fresh eyes. Not the day after. Fresh eyes I tell you, isn't necessarily a good thing. Your past self's treasure could turn into your future self's cringe. My verdict: I edit and revise, but I'm not the best person for it.

4. Share your favorite detail. > 🤔... This took long for me to think about to be honest. I think I've already told everyone in the SasuHina Month discord about things I liked that I felt those are old things that aren't necessarily very true for current me anymore. I'm thinking maybe something from my most recent works. Is 2022 recent? Doesn't matter, let me tell you about it, 'cause I haven't told this to someone yet. I liked how my story for SH Month 2022 Day 3: Dépaysement took everyone on a journey where they didn't know how it would turn out. That's my favorite part about it. People knew it was a SasuHina story, but they weren’t able to predict the ending because the experience of the journey had immersed them. Also, I liked that Hinata had a hard time with the goats. That part was semi-autobiographical🤣
